An SSTI (Server-Side Template Injection) vulnerability exists in the get_terms_and_conditions method of Frappe ERPNext through 15.89.0. The function renders attacker-controlled Jinja2 templates (terms) using frappe.render_template() with a user-supplied context (doc). Although Frappe uses a custom SandboxedEnvironment, several dangerous globals such as frappe.db.sql are still available in the execution context via get_safe_globals(). An authenticated attacker with access to create or modify a Terms and Conditions document can inject arbitrary Jinja expressions into the terms field, resulting in server-side code execution within a restricted but still unsafe context. This vulnerability can be used to leak database information.

A Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability exists in the Print Format functionality of ERPNext v16.0.1 and Frappe Framework v16.1.1, where user-supplied HTML is insufficiently sanitized before being rendered into PDF. When generating PDFs from user-controlled HTML content, the application allows the inclusion of HTML elements such as <iframe> that reference external resources. The PDF rendering engine automatically fetches these resources on the server side. An attacker can abuse this behavior to force the server to make arbitrary HTTP requests to internal services, including cloud metadata endpoints, potentially leading to sensitive information disclosure.

Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) on redirects and federation in gomatrixserverlib

Gomatrixserverlib is a Go library for matrix federation. Gomatrixserverlib is vulnerable to server-side request forgery, serving content from a private network it can access, under certain conditions. The commit `c4f1e01` fixes this issue. Users are advised to upgrade. Users unable to upgrade should use a local firewall to limit the network segments and hosts the service using gomatrixserverlib can access.

UsersWP <= 1.2.58 - Authenticated (Subscriber+) Server-Side Request Forgery via 'uwp_crop' Parameter

The UsersWP – Front-end login form, User Registration, User Profile & Members Directory plugin for WP plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to blind Server-Side Request Forgery in all versions up to, and including, 1.2.58. This is due to insufficient URL origin validation in the process_image_crop() method when processing avatar/banner image crop operations. The function accepts a user-controlled URL via the uwp_crop POST parameter and only validates it using esc_url() for sanitization and wp_check_filetype() for extension verification, without enforcing that the URL references a local uploads file. The URL is then passed to uwp_resizeThumbnailImage() which uses it in PHP image processing functions (getimagesize(), imagecreatefrom*()) that support URL wrappers and perform outbound HTTP requests. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers with subscriber-level access and above to coerce the WordPress server into making arbitrary HTTP requests to attacker-controlled or internal network destinations, enabling internal network scanning and potential access to sensitive services.

Wallos: SSRF CGNAT Bypass in subscription/payments Logo URL — is_cgnat_ip() Not Used in Inline Checks

Wallos is an open-source, self-hostable personal subscription tracker. Prior to version 4.8.1, the SSRF protection in endpoints/subscription/add.php (line 42) and endpoints/payments/add.php (line 40) uses an inline IP validation check (FILTER_FLAG_NO_PRIV_RANGE | FILTER_FLAG_NO_RES_RANGE) that does not block CGNAT addresses (100.64.0.0/10, RFC 6598). The includes/ssrf_helper.php file explicitly defines is_cgnat_ip() to cover this gap (used by notification endpoints), but the logo/icon URL fetching in subscription and payment endpoints performs its own inline validation that misses this range. This allows authenticated users to perform Blind SSRF to internal services in Tailscale, Carrier-Grade NAT, and other environments using 100.64.0.0/10 addresses. This issue has been patched in version 4.8.1.

LinkAce has SSRF via CheckLinksCommand - Link URL Update Bypasses laravel-html-meta Protection

LinkAce is a self-hosted archive to collect website links. Prior to 2.5.4, LinkRepository::update and CheckLinksCommand::checkLink do not check for private IPs. An authenticated user can read responses from internal services (AWS IMDSv1, cloud metadata, internal APIs) by creating a link with a public URL and then updating it to a private IP. The links:check cron job makes the request server-side without IP filtering. This can expose cloud credentials, internal service data, and network topology. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.5.4.

Zammad has a Server-side request forgery (SSRF) via webhooks

Zammad is a web based open source helpdesk/customer support system. Prior to 7.0.1 and 6.5.4, the webhook model was missing a proper validation for loop back addresses, or link-local addresses — only the URL scheme (HTTP/HTTPS) as well as the hostname was checked. This could end up in retrieving confidential metadata of cloud/hosting providers. The existing check is now extended and is applied when configuring webhooks as well as triggering webhook jobs. This vulnerability is fixed in 7.0.1 and 6.5.4.

Prior to version 1.17.0, in src/endpoints/search.js, the hostname is checked against /^\d+\.\d+\.\d+\.\d+$/. This only matches literal dotted-quad IPv4 (e.g. 127.0.0.1, 10.0.0.1). It does not catch: localhost (hostname, not dotted-quad), [::1] (IPv6 loopback), and DNS names resolving to internal addresses (e.g. localtest.me -> 127.0.0.1). A separate port check (urlObj.port !== '') limits exploitation to services on default ports (80/443), making this lower severity than a fully unrestricted SSRF. This issue has been patched in version 1.17.0.

EspoCRM has authenticated SSRF via internal-host validation bypass using alternative IPv4 notation

EspoCRM is an open source customer relationship management application. Versions 9.3.3 and below have an authenticated Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability that allows bypassing the internal-host validation logic by using alternative IPv4 representations such as octal notation (e.g., 0177.0.0.1 instead of 127.0.0.1). This is caused by HostCheck::isNotInternalHost() function relying on PHP's filter_var(..., FILTER_VALIDATE_IP), which does not recognize alternative IP formats, causing the validation to fall through to a DNS lookup that returns no records and incorrectly treats the host as safe, however the cURL subsequently normalizes the address and connects to the loopback destination. Through the confirmed /api/v1/Attachment/fromImageUrl endpoint, an authenticated user can force the server to make requests to loopback-only services and store the fetched response as an attachment. This vulnerability is distinct from CVE-2023-46736 (which involved redirect-based SSRF) and may allow access to internal resources reachable from the application runtime. This issue has been fixed in version 9.3.4.

AVideo has SSRF in BulkEmbed Thumbnail Fetch that Allows Reading Internal Network Resources

WWBN AVideo is an open source video platform. Prior to version 26.0, the BulkEmbed plugin's save endpoint (`plugin/BulkEmbed/save.json.php`) fetches user-supplied thumbnail URLs via `url_get_contents()` without SSRF protection. Unlike all six other URL-fetching endpoints in AVideo that were hardened with `isSSRFSafeURL()`, this code path was missed. An authenticated attacker can force the server to make HTTP requests to internal network resources and retrieve the responses by viewing the saved video thumbnail. Version 26.0 fixes the issue.

AutoGPT: SendEmailBlock's IP blocklist bypass allows SSRF via user-controlled SMTP server

AutoGPT is a workflow automation platform for creating, deploying, and managing continuous artificial intelligence agents. In versions 0.1.0 through 0.6.51, SendEmailBlock in autogpt_platform/backend/backend/blocks/email_block.py accepts a user-supplied smtp_server (string) and smtp_port (integer) as per-execution block inputs, then passes them directly to Python's smtplib.SMTP() to open a raw TCP connection with no IP address validation. This completely bypasses the platform's hardened SSRF protections in backend/util/request.py — the validate_url_host() function and BLOCKED_IP_NETWORKS blocklist that every other block uses to block connections to private, loopback, link-local, and cloud metadata addresses. An authenticated user on a shared AutoGPT deployment can use this to perform non-blind internal network port scanning and service fingerprinting: smtplib reads the target's TCP banner on connect and embeds it in the exception message, which is persisted as user-visible block output via the execution framework. This issue has been fixed in version 0.6.52.

Lychee has SSRF bypass via incomplete IP validation in Photo::fromUrl — loopback and link-local IPs not blocked

Lychee is a free, open-source photo-management tool. The patch introduced for GHSA-cpgw-wgf3-xc6v (SSRF via `Photo::fromUrl`) contains an incomplete IP validation check that fails to block loopback addresses and link-local addresses. Weblate is a web based localization tool. In versions prior to 5.17, a user with the project.edit permission (granted by the per-project "Administration" role) can configure machine translation service URLs pointing to arbitrary internal network addresses. During configuration validation, Weblate makes an HTTP request to the attacker-controlled URL and reflects up to 200 characters of the response body back to the user in an error message. This constitutes a Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) with partial response read. This issue has been fixed in version 5.17. SSRF Loopback IP filter bypass in directus

Directus is a real-time API and App dashboard for managing SQL database content. When relying on blocking access to localhost using the default `0.0.0.0` filter a user may bypass this block by using other registered loopback devices (like `127.0.0.2` - `127.127.127.127`). This issue has been addressed in release versions 10.13.3 and 11.1.0. Users are advised to upgrade. Users unable to upgrade may block this bypass by manually adding the `127.0.0.0/8` CIDR range which will block access to any `127.X.X.X` ip instead of just `127.0.0.1`.

mosparo is the modern solution to protect your online forms from spam. Directus has a Blind SSRF On File Import

Directus is a real-time API and App dashboard for managing SQL database content. There was already a reported SSRF vulnerability via file import. It was fixed by resolving all DNS names and checking if the requested IP is an internal IP address. However it is possible to bypass this security measure and execute a SSRF using redirects. Directus allows redirects when importing file from the URL and does not check the result URL. Thus, it is possible to execute a request to an internal IP, for example to 127.0.0.1. However, it is blind SSRF, because Directus also uses response interception technique to get the information about the connect from the socket directly and it does not show a response if the IP address is internal. This vulnerability is fixed in 10.9.3.

Lychee is a free, open-source photo-management tool. Prior to version 7.5.2, the SSRF protection in `PhotoUrlRule.php` can be bypassed using DNS rebinding. The IP validation check (line 86-89) only activates when the hostname is an IP address. When a domain name is used, `filter_var($host, FILTER_VALIDATE_IP)` returns `false`, skipping the entire check. Version 7.5.2 patches the issue.

Wallos: SSRF via webhook test endpoint

Wallos is an open-source, self-hostable personal subscription tracker. Prior to version 4.6.2, testwebhooknotifications.php does not validate the target URL against private/reserved IP ranges, enabling full-read SSRF. The server response is returned to the caller. This issue has been patched in version 4.6.2.

Indico has Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) in multiple places

Indico is an event management system that uses Flask-Multipass, a multi-backend authentication system for Flask. Versions prior to 3.3.10 are vulnerable to server-side request forgery. Indico makes outgoing requests to user-provides URLs in various places. This is mostly intentional and part of Indico's functionality but is never intended to let users access "special" targets such as localhost or cloud metadata endpoints. Users should upgrade to version 3.3.10 to receive a patch. Those who do not have IPs that expose sensitive data without authentication (typically because they do not host Indico on AWS) are not affected. Only event organizers can access endpoints where SSRF could be used to actually see the data returned by such a request. For those who trust their event organizers, the risk is also very limited. For additional security, both before and after patching, one may also use the common proxy-related environment variables (in particular `http_proxy` and `https_proxy`) to force outgoing requests to go through a proxy that limits requests in whatever way you deem useful/necessary. These environment variables would need to be set both on the indico-uwsgi and indico-celery services.

ClipBucket v5 enables internal network scans via an SSRF vulnerability

ClipBucket v5 is an open source video sharing platform. Prior to 5.5.3 - #45, in Clip Bucket V5, The Remote Play allows creating video entries that reference external video URLs without uploading the video files to the server. However, by specifying an internal network host in the video URL, an SSRF can be triggered, causing GET requests to be sent to internal servers. An attacker can exploit this to scan the internal network. Even a regular (non-privileged) user can carry out the attack.

prompts.chat Blind SSRF via media-generate

prompts.chat prior to commit 1464475 contains a blind server-side request forgery vulnerability in the Wiro media generator that allows authenticated users to perform server-side fetches of user-controlled inputImageUrl parameters. Attackers can exploit this vulnerability by sending POST requests to the /api/media-generate endpoint to probe internal networks, access internal services, and exfiltrate data through the upstream Wiro service without receiving direct response bodies.

Responsive Lightbox & Gallery <= 2.7.1 - Authenticated (Author+) Server-Side Request Forgery via Remote Library Image Upload

The Responsive Lightbox & Gallery plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Server-Side Request Forgery in all versions up to, and including, 2.7.1. This is due to the use of `strpos()` for substring-based hostname validation instead of strict host comparison in the `ajax_upload_image()` function. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Author-level access and above, to make web requests to arbitrary locations originating from the web application, which can be used to query and modify information from internal services.
