In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vxlan: Fix nexthop hash size The nexthop code expects a 31 bit hash, such as what is returned by fib_multipath_hash() and rt6_multipath_hash(). Passing the 32 bit hash returned by skb_get_hash() can lead to problems related to the fact that 'int hash' is a negative number when the MSB is set. In the case of hash threshold nexthop groups, nexthop_select_path_hthr() will disproportionately select the first nexthop group entry. In the case of resilient nexthop groups, nexthop_select_path_res() may do an out of bounds access in nh_buckets[], for example: hash = -912054133 num_nh_buckets = 2 bucket_index = 65535 which leads to the following panic: BUG: unable to handle page fault for address: ffffc900025910c8 PGD 100000067 P4D 100000067 PUD 10026b067 PMD 0 Oops: 0002 [#1] PREEMPT SMP KASAN NOPTI CPU: 4 PID: 856 Comm: kworker/4:3 Not tainted 6.5.0-rc2+ #34 Hardware name: QEMU Standard PC (i440FX + PIIX, 1996), BIOS 1.16.2-debian-1.16.2-1 04/01/2014 Workqueue: ipv6_addrconf addrconf_dad_work RIP: 0010:nexthop_select_path+0x197/0xbf0 Code: c1 e4 05 be 08 00 00 00 4c 8b 35 a4 14 7e 01 4e 8d 6c 25 00 4a 8d 7c 25 08 48 01 dd e8 c2 25 15 ff 49 8d 7d 08 e8 39 13 15 ff <4d> 89 75 08 48 89 ef e8 7d 12 15 ff 48 8b 5d 00 e8 14 55 2f 00 85 RSP: 0018:ffff88810c36f260 EFLAGS: 00010246 RAX: 0000000000000000 RBX: 00000000002000c0 RCX: ffffffffaf02dd77 RDX: dffffc0000000000 RSI: 0000000000000008 RDI: ffffc900025910c8 RBP: ffffc900025910c0 R08: 0000000000000001 R09: fffff520004b2219 R10: ffffc900025910cf R11: 31392d2068736168 R12: 00000000002000c0 R13: ffffc900025910c0 R14: 00000000fffef608 R15: ffff88811840e900 FS: 0000000000000000(0000) GS:ffff8881f7000000(0000) knlGS:0000000000000000 CS: 0010 DS: 0000 ES: 0000 CR0: 0000000080050033 CR2: ffffc900025910c8 CR3: 0000000129d00000 CR4: 0000000000750ee0 PKRU: 55555554 Call Trace: <TASK> ? __die+0x23/0x70 ? page_fault_oops+0x1ee/0x5c0 ? __pfx_is_prefetch.constprop.0+0x10/0x10 ? __pfx_page_fault_oops+0x10/0x10 ? search_bpf_extables+0xfe/0x1c0 ? fixup_exception+0x3b/0x470 ? exc_page_fault+0xf6/0x110 ? asm_exc_page_fault+0x26/0x30 ? nexthop_select_path+0x197/0xbf0 ? nexthop_select_path+0x197/0xbf0 ? lock_is_held_type+0xe7/0x140 vxlan_xmit+0x5b2/0x2340 ? __lock_acquire+0x92b/0x3370 ? __pfx_vxlan_xmit+0x10/0x10 ? __pfx___lock_acquire+0x10/0x10 ? __pfx_register_lock_class+0x10/0x10 ? skb_network_protocol+0xce/0x2d0 ? dev_hard_start_xmit+0xca/0x350 ? __pfx_vxlan_xmit+0x10/0x10 dev_hard_start_xmit+0xca/0x350 __dev_queue_xmit+0x513/0x1e20 ? __pfx___dev_queue_xmit+0x10/0x10 ? __pfx_lock_release+0x10/0x10 ? mark_held_locks+0x44/0x90 ? skb_push+0x4c/0x80 ? eth_header+0x81/0xe0 ? __pfx_eth_header+0x10/0x10 ? neigh_resolve_output+0x215/0x310 ? ip6_finish_output2+0x2ba/0xc90 ip6_finish_output2+0x2ba/0xc90 ? lock_release+0x236/0x3e0 ? ip6_mtu+0xbb/0x240 ? __pfx_ip6_finish_output2+0x10/0x10 ? find_held_lock+0x83/0xa0 ? lock_is_held_type+0xe7/0x140 ip6_finish_output+0x1ee/0x780 ip6_output+0x138/0x460 ? __pfx_ip6_output+0x10/0x10 ? __pfx___lock_acquire+0x10/0x10 ? __pfx_ip6_finish_output+0x10/0x10 NF_HOOK.constprop.0+0xc0/0x420 ? __pfx_NF_HOOK.constprop.0+0x10/0x10 ? ndisc_send_skb+0x2c0/0x960 ? __pfx_lock_release+0x10/0x10 ? __local_bh_enable_ip+0x93/0x110 ? lock_is_held_type+0xe7/0x140 ndisc_send_skb+0x4be/0x960 ? __pfx_ndisc_send_skb+0x10/0x10 ? mark_held_locks+0x65/0x90 ? find_held_lock+0x83/0xa0 ndisc_send_ns+0xb0/0x110 ? __pfx_ndisc_send_ns+0x10/0x10 addrconf_dad_work+0x631/0x8e0 ? lock_acquire+0x180/0x3f0 ? __pfx_addrconf_dad_work+0x10/0x10 ? mark_held_locks+0x24/0x90 process_one_work+0x582/0x9c0 ? __pfx_process_one_work+0x10/0x10 ? __pfx_do_raw_spin_lock+0x10/0x10 ? mark_held_locks+0x24/0x90 worker_thread+0x93/0x630 ? __kthread_parkme+0xdc/0x100 ? __pfx_worker_thread+0x10/0x10 kthread+0x1a5/0x1e0 ? __pfx_kthread+0x10/0x10 ret_from_fork+0x34/0x60 ---truncated---
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: hda/via: Avoid potential array out-of-bound in add_secret_dac_path() snd_hda_get_connections() can return a negative error code. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netlink: prevent potential spectre v1 gadgets Most netlink attributes are parsed and validated from __nla_validate_parse() or validate_nla() u16 type = nla_type(nla); if (type == 0 || type > maxtype) { /* error or continue */ } @type is then used as an array index and can be used as a Spectre v1 gadget. array_index_nospec() can be used to prevent leaking content of kernel memory to malicious users. This should take care of vast majority of netlink uses, but an audit is needed to take care of others where validation is not yet centralized in core netlink functions.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: mdio: validate parameter addr in mdiobus_get_phy() The caller may pass any value as addr, what may result in an out-of-bounds access to array mdio_map. One existing case is stmmac_init_phy() that may pass -1 as addr. Therefore validate addr before using it.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ASoC: SOF: ipc4-mtrace: prevent underflow in sof_ipc4_priority_mask_dfs_write() The "id" comes from the user. Change the type to unsigned to prevent an array underflow.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ACPICA: Add AML_NO_OPERAND_RESOLVE flag to Timer ACPICA commit 90310989a0790032f5a0140741ff09b545af4bc5 According to the ACPI specification 19.6.134, no argument is required to be passed for ASL Timer instruction. For taking care of no argument, AML_NO_OPERAND_RESOLVE flag is added to ASL Timer instruction opcode. When ASL timer instruction interpreted by ACPI interpreter, getting error. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: rtw89: Fix array index mistake in rtw89_sta_info_get_iter() In rtw89_sta_info_get_iter() 'status->he_gi' is compared to array size. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ASoC: mediatek: mt8195: Add platform entry for ETDM1_OUT_BE dai link Commit e70b8dd26711 ("ASoC: mediatek: mt8195: Remove afe-dai component and rework codec link") removed the codec entry for the ETDM1_OUT_BE dai link entirely instead of replacing it with COMP_EMPTY(). This worked by accident as the remaining COMP_EMPTY() platform entry became the codec entry, and the platform entry became completely empty, effectively the same as COMP_DUMMY() since snd_soc_fill_dummy_dai() doesn't do anything for platform entries. This causes a KASAN out-of-bounds warning in mtk_soundcard_common_probe() in sound/soc/mediatek/common/mtk-soundcard-driver.c: for_each_card_prelinks(card, i, dai_link) { if (adsp_node && !strncmp(dai_link->name, "AFE_SOF", strlen("AFE_SOF"))) dai_link->platforms->of_node = adsp_node; else if (!dai_link->platforms->name && !dai_link->platforms->of_node) dai_link->platforms->of_node = platform_node; } where the code expects the platforms array to have space for at least one entry. Add an COMP_EMPTY() entry so that dai_link->platforms has space.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: platform/x86: toshiba_acpi: Fix array out-of-bounds access In order to use toshiba_dmi_quirks[] together with the standard DMI matching functions, it must be terminated by a empty entry. Since this entry is missing, an array out-of-bounds access occurs every time the quirk list is processed. Fix this by adding the terminating empty entry.
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's udmabuf device driver. The specific flaw exists within a fault handler. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data, which can result in a memory access past the end of an array. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to escalate privileges and execute arbitrary code in the context of the kernel.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: Reject wrapped offset in kvm_reset_dirty_gfn() kvm_reset_dirty_gfn() guards the gfn range with if (!memslot || (offset + __fls(mask)) >= memslot->npages) return; but offset is u64 and the addition is unchecked. The check can be silently bypassed by a u64 wrap. The dirty ring backing those entries is MAP_SHARED at KVM_DIRTY_LOG_PAGE_OFFSET of the vcpu fd, so the VMM can rewrite the slot and offset fields of any entry between when the kernel pushes them and when KVM_RESET_DIRTY_RINGS consumes them. On reset, kvm_dirty_ring_reset() re-reads the values via READ_ONCE() and feeds them straight back into this check; only the flags handshake is treated as the handover, the slot/offset payload is taken on trust. Crafting two entries entry[i].offset = 0xffffffffffffffc1 entry[i+1].offset = 0 makes the coalescing loop in kvm_dirty_ring_reset() compute delta = (s64)(0 - 0xffffffffffffffc1) = 63 which falls in [0, BITS_PER_LONG), so it folds entry[i+1] into the existing mask by setting bit 63. The trailing kvm_reset_dirty_gfn() call then sees offset = 0xffffffffffffffc1 and __fls(mask) = 63; the sum is 0 in u64 and the bounds check passes. That offset propagates into kvm_arch_mmu_enable_log_dirty_pt_masked() unchanged. On the legacy MMU path -- kvm_memslots_have_rmaps() == true, i.e. shadow paging, any VM that has allocated shadow roots, or a write-tracked slot -- it reaches gfn_to_rmap(), which indexes slot->arch.rmap[0][] with a near-U64_MAX gfn. That is an out-of-bounds load of a kvm_rmap_head, followed by a conditional clear of PT_WRITABLE_MASK in whatever the loaded pointer points at. The path is reachable from any process holding /dev/kvm. Range-check offset on its own first, so the addition cannot wrap. memslot->npages is bounded well below U64_MAX, so once offset < npages holds, offset + __fls(mask) (with __fls(mask) < BITS_PER_LONG) stays in range.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: emu10k1: Fix out of bounds access in snd_emu10k1_pcm_channel_alloc() The voice allocator sometimes begins allocating from near the end of the array and then wraps around, however snd_emu10k1_pcm_channel_alloc() accesses the newly allocated voices as if it never wrapped around. This results in out of bounds access if the first voice has a high enough index so that first_voice + requested_voice_count > NUM_G (64). The more voices are requested, the more likely it is for this to occur. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: b43legacy: enforce bounds check on firmware key index in RX path Same fix as b43: the firmware-controlled key index in b43legacy_rx() can exceed dev->max_nr_keys. The existing B43legacy_WARN_ON is non-enforcing in production builds, allowing an out-of-bounds read of dev->key[]. Make the check enforcing by dropping the frame for invalid indices.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iio: imu: st_lsm6dsx: Set buffer sampling frequency for accelerometer only The st_lsm6dsx_hwfifo_odr_store() function, which is called when userspace writes the buffer sampling frequency sysfs attribute, calls st_lsm6dsx_check_odr(), which accesses the odr_table array at index `sensor->id`; since this array is only 2 entries long, an access for any sensor type other than accelerometer or gyroscope is an out-of-bounds access. The motivation for being able to set a buffer frequency different from the sensor sampling frequency is to support use cases that need accurate event detection (which requires a high sampling frequency) while retrieving sensor data at low frequency. Since all the supported event types are generated from acceleration data only, do not create the buffer sampling frequency attribute for sensor types other than the accelerometer.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: typec: ucsi: validate connector number in ucsi_notify_common() The connector number extracted from CCI via UCSI_CCI_CONNECTOR() is a 7-bit field (0-127) that is used to index into the connector array in ucsi_connector_change(). However, the array is only allocated for the number of connectors reported by the device (typically 2-4 entries). A malicious or malfunctioning device could report an out-of-range connector number in the CCI, causing an out-of-bounds array access in ucsi_connector_change(). Add a bounds check in ucsi_notify_common(), the central point where CCI is parsed after arriving from hardware, so that bogus connector numbers are rejected before they propagate further.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: kyber: fix out of bounds access when preempted __blk_mq_sched_bio_merge() gets the ctx and hctx for the current CPU and passes the hctx to ->bio_merge(). kyber_bio_merge() then gets the ctx for the current CPU again and uses that to get the corresponding Kyber context in the passed hctx. However, the thread may be preempted between the two calls to blk_mq_get_ctx(), and the ctx returned the second time may no longer correspond to the passed hctx. This "works" accidentally most of the time, but it can cause us to read garbage if the second ctx came from an hctx with more ctx's than the first one (i.e., if ctx->index_hw[hctx->type] > hctx->nr_ctx). This manifested as this UBSAN array index out of bounds error reported by Jakub: UBSAN: array-index-out-of-bounds in ../kernel/locking/qspinlock.c:130:9 index 13106 is out of range for type 'long unsigned int [128]' Call Trace: dump_stack+0xa4/0xe5 ubsan_epilogue+0x5/0x40 __ubsan_handle_out_of_bounds.cold.13+0x2a/0x34 queued_spin_lock_slowpath+0x476/0x480 do_raw_spin_lock+0x1c2/0x1d0 kyber_bio_merge+0x112/0x180 blk_mq_submit_bio+0x1f5/0x1100 submit_bio_noacct+0x7b0/0x870 submit_bio+0xc2/0x3a0 btrfs_map_bio+0x4f0/0x9d0 btrfs_submit_data_bio+0x24e/0x310 submit_one_bio+0x7f/0xb0 submit_extent_page+0xc4/0x440 __extent_writepage_io+0x2b8/0x5e0 __extent_writepage+0x28d/0x6e0 extent_write_cache_pages+0x4d7/0x7a0 extent_writepages+0xa2/0x110 do_writepages+0x8f/0x180 __writeback_single_inode+0x99/0x7f0 writeback_sb_inodes+0x34e/0x790 __writeback_inodes_wb+0x9e/0x120 wb_writeback+0x4d2/0x660 wb_workfn+0x64d/0xa10 process_one_work+0x53a/0xa80 worker_thread+0x69/0x5b0 kthread+0x20b/0x240 ret_from_fork+0x1f/0x30 Only Kyber uses the hctx, so fix it by passing the request_queue to ->bio_merge() instead. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: usb: cdc_ncm: add ndpoffset to NDP32 nframes bounds check The same bounds-check bug fixed for NDP16 in the previous patch also exists in cdc_ncm_rx_verify_ndp32(). The DPE array size is validated against the total skb length without accounting for ndpoffset, allowing out-of-bounds reads when the NDP32 is placed near the end of the NTB. Add ndpoffset to the nframes bounds check and use struct_size_t() to express the NDP-plus-DPE-array size more clearly. Compile-tested only.
NVIDIA GPU Display Driver for Linux contains a vulnerability in the kernel mode layer (nvidia.ko), where an out-of-bounds array access may lead to denial of service, information disclosure, or data tampering.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: clk: samsung: exynos-clkout: Assign .num before accessing .hws Commit f316cdff8d67 ("clk: Annotate struct clk_hw_onecell_data with __counted_by") annotated the hws member of 'struct clk_hw_onecell_data' with __counted_by, which informs the bounds sanitizer (UBSAN_BOUNDS) about the number of elements in .hws[], so that it can warn when .hws[] is accessed out of bounds. As noted in that change, the __counted_by member must be initialized with the number of elements before the first array access happens, otherwise there will be a warning from each access prior to the initialization because the number of elements is zero. This occurs in exynos_clkout_probe() due to .num being assigned after .hws[] has been accessed: UBSAN: array-index-out-of-bounds in drivers/clk/samsung/clk-exynos-clkout.c:178:18 index 0 is out of range for type 'clk_hw *[*]' Move the .num initialization to before the first access of .hws[], clearing up the warning.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: rose: fix invalid array index in rose_kill_by_device() rose_kill_by_device() collects sockets into a local array[] and then iterates over them to disconnect sockets bound to a device being brought down. The loop mistakenly indexes array[cnt] instead of array[i]. For cnt < ARRAY_SIZE(array), this reads an uninitialized entry; for cnt == ARRAY_SIZE(array), it is an out-of-bounds read. Either case can lead to an invalid socket pointer dereference and also leaks references taken via sock_hold(). Fix the index to use i.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: reject negative CO-RE accessor indices in bpf_core_parse_spec() CO-RE accessor strings are colon-separated indices that describe a path from a root BTF type to a target field, e.g. "0:1:2" walks through nested struct members. bpf_core_parse_spec() parses each component with sscanf("%d"), so negative values like -1 are silently accepted. The subsequent bounds checks (access_idx >= btf_vlen(t)) only guard the upper bound and always pass for negative values because C integer promotion converts the __u16 btf_vlen result to int, making the comparison (int)(-1) >= (int)(N) false for any positive N. When -1 reaches btf_member_bit_offset() it gets cast to u32 0xffffffff, producing an out-of-bounds read far past the members array. A crafted BPF program with a negative CO-RE accessor on any struct that exists in vmlinux BTF (e.g. task_struct) crashes the kernel deterministically during BPF_PROG_LOAD on any system with CONFIG_DEBUG_INFO_BTF=y (default on major distributions). In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs: jfs: Fix UBSAN: array-index-out-of-bounds in dbAllocDmapLev Syzkaller reported the following issue: UBSAN: array-index-out-of-bounds in fs/jfs/jfs_dmap.c:1965:6 index -84 is out of range for type 's8[341]' (aka 'signed char[341]') CPU: 1 PID: 4995 Comm: syz-executor146 Not tainted 6.4.0-rc6-syzkaller-00037-gb6dad5178cea #0 Hardware name: Google Google Compute Engine/Google Compute Engine, BIOS Google 05/27/2023 Call Trace: <TASK> __dump_stack lib/dump_stack.c:88 [inline] dump_stack_lvl+0x1e7/0x2d0 lib/dump_stack.c:106 ubsan_epilogue lib/ubsan.c:217 [inline] __ubsan_handle_out_of_bounds+0x11c/0x150 lib/ubsan.c:348 dbAllocDmapLev+0x3e5/0x430 fs/jfs/jfs_dmap.c:1965 dbAllocCtl+0x113/0x920 fs/jfs/jfs_dmap.c:1809 dbAllocAG+0x28f/0x10b0 fs/jfs/jfs_dmap.c:1350 dbAlloc+0x658/0xca0 fs/jfs/jfs_dmap.c:874 dtSplitUp fs/jfs/jfs_dtree.c:974 [inline] dtInsert+0xda7/0x6b00 fs/jfs/jfs_dtree.c:863 jfs_create+0x7b6/0xbb0 fs/jfs/namei.c:137 lookup_open fs/namei.c:3492 [inline] open_last_lookups fs/namei.c:3560 [inline] path_openat+0x13df/0x3170 fs/namei.c:3788 do_filp_open+0x234/0x490 fs/namei.c:3818 do_sys_openat2+0x13f/0x500 fs/open.c:1356 do_sys_open fs/open.c:1372 [inline] __do_sys_openat fs/open.c:1388 [inline] __se_sys_openat fs/open.c:1383 [inline] __x64_sys_openat+0x247/0x290 fs/open.c:1383 do_syscall_x64 arch/x86/entry/common.c:50 [inline] do_syscall_64+0x41/0xc0 arch/x86/entry/common.c:80 entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x63/0xcd RIP: 0033:0x7f1f4e33f7e9 Code: 28 00 00 00 75 05 48 83 c4 28 c3 e8 51 14 00 00 90 48 89 f8 48 89 f7 48 89 d6 48 89 ca 4d 89 c2 4d 89 c8 4c 8b 4c 24 08 0f 05 <48> 3d 01 f0 ff ff 73 01 c3 48 c7 c1 c0 ff ff ff f7 d8 64 89 01 48 RSP: 002b:00007ffc21129578 EFLAGS: 00000246 ORIG_RAX: 0000000000000101 RAX: ffffffffffffffda RBX: 0000000000000000 RCX: 00007f1f4e33f7e9 RDX: 000000000000275a RSI: 0000000020000040 RDI: 00000000ffffff9c RBP: 00007f1f4e2ff080 R08: 0000000000000000 R09: 0000000000000000 R10: 0000000000000000 R11: 0000000000000246 R12: 00007f1f4e2ff110 R13: 0000000000000000 R14: 0000000000000000 R15: 0000000000000000 </TASK> The bug occurs when the dbAllocDmapLev()function attempts to access dp->tree.stree[leafidx + LEAFIND] while the leafidx value is negative. To rectify this, the patch introduces a safeguard within the dbAllocDmapLev() function. A check has been added to verify if leafidx is negative. If it is, the function immediately returns an I/O error, preventing any further execution that could potentially cause harm. Tested via syzbot.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: spi: cadence: Fix out-of-bounds array access in cdns_mrvl_xspi_setup_clock() If requested_clk > 128, cdns_mrvl_xspi_setup_clock() iterates over the entire cdns_mrvl_xspi_clk_div_list array without breaking out early, causing 'i' to go beyond the array bounds. Fix that by stopping the loop when it gets to the last entry, clamping the clock to the minimum 6.25 MHz. Fixes the following warning with an UBSAN kernel: vmlinux.o: warning: objtool: cdns_mrvl_xspi_setup_clock: unexpected end of section .text.cdns_mrvl_xspi_setup_clock
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/mlx5: Collect command failures data only for known commands DEVX can issue a general command, which is not used by mlx5 driver. In case such command is failed, mlx5 is trying to collect the failure data, However, mlx5 doesn't create a storage for this command, since mlx5 doesn't use it. This lead to array-index-out-of-bounds error. Fix it by checking whether the command is known before collecting the failure data.
The sanity_check_ckpt function in fs/f2fs/super.c in the Linux kernel before 4.12.4 does not validate the blkoff and segno arrays, which allows local users to gain privileges via unspecified vectors.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: jfs: fix array-index-out-of-bounds in jfs_readdir The stbl might contain some invalid values. Added a check to return error code in that case.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/dp_mst: Fix MST sideband message body length check Fix the MST sideband message body length check, which must be at least 1 byte accounting for the message body CRC (aka message data CRC) at the end of the message. This fixes a case where an MST branch device returns a header with a correct header CRC (indicating a correctly received body length), with the body length being incorrectly set to 0. This will later lead to a memory corruption in drm_dp_sideband_append_payload() and the following errors in dmesg: UBSAN: array-index-out-of-bounds in drivers/gpu/drm/display/drm_dp_mst_topology.c:786:25 index -1 is out of range for type 'u8 [48]' Call Trace: drm_dp_sideband_append_payload+0x33d/0x350 [drm_display_helper] drm_dp_get_one_sb_msg+0x3ce/0x5f0 [drm_display_helper] drm_dp_mst_hpd_irq_handle_event+0xc8/0x1580 [drm_display_helper] memcpy: detected field-spanning write (size 18446744073709551615) of single field "&msg->msg[msg->curlen]" at drivers/gpu/drm/display/drm_dp_mst_topology.c:791 (size 256) Call Trace: drm_dp_sideband_append_payload+0x324/0x350 [drm_display_helper] drm_dp_get_one_sb_msg+0x3ce/0x5f0 [drm_display_helper] drm_dp_mst_hpd_irq_handle_event+0xc8/0x1580 [drm_display_helper]
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: jfs: array-index-out-of-bounds fix in dtReadFirst The value of stbl can be sometimes out of bounds due to a bad filesystem. Added a check with appopriate return of error code in that case.
