SFTP READLINK Leaks Absolute Backend Filesystem Path When Root Is Configured

Exposure of Sensitive Information to an Unauthorized Actor vulnerability in Erlang OTP ssh (ssh_sftpd module) allows File Discovery. The SSH_FXP_READLINK handler in ssh_sftpd sends the raw result of file:read_link/2 to the client without calling chroot_filename/2 to strip the backend root prefix. An authenticated SFTP client can create a symlink inside the chroot pointing to /; ssh_sftpd resolves the target to the absolute backend root and stores it on disk. Reading the symlink back via SSH_FXP_READLINK returns that absolute path, for example /data/sftp, instead of the chrooted value /. The information disclosed is the absolute filesystem path of the SFTP root directory and of any symlink targets within it. No file contents, credentials, or access to paths outside the root directory are obtainable through this issue alone. This vulnerability is associated with program files lib/ssh/src/ssh_sftpd.erl. This issue affects OTP from OTP 17.0 before 29.0.2, 28.5.0.2 and 27.3.4.13 corresponding to ssh from 3.0.1 before 6.0.1, 5.5.2.1 and 5.2.11.8.

Configurations

The SFTP subsystem must be enabled on the SSH server and the root option must be configured in the ssh_sftpd:subsystem_spec/1 call. Deployments without the root option are not affected.

Workarounds

* Use OS-level chroot to run the Erlang VM/SFTP server process in an isolated filesystem environment, eliminating reliance on the application-level root option. * Ensure that the SFTP server port is not reachable from untrusted machines. * Ensure that no sensitive information (usernames, project names, mount topology) is inferrable from the absolute path of the configured root directory.

Distribution-over-TLS LAN allowlist silently bypassed due to sockname/peername confusion in inet_tls_dist

Reliance on IP Address for Authentication vulnerability in Erlang/OTP ssl (inet_tls_dist module) allows unauthenticated bypass of the distribution-over-TLS LAN allowlist. The inet_tls_dist:check_ip/1 function, which enforces a LAN allowlist for Erlang distribution over TLS, calls inet:sockname/1 instead of inet:peername/1 to obtain the peer's IP address. Because inet:sockname/1 returns the local socket address, both the local IP and the supposed peer IP resolve to the same value, causing the subnet mask comparison to always succeed regardless of the actual remote address. Any holder of a CA-signed TLS certificate can therefore bypass the LAN restriction and gain full Erlang distribution access to the node, including rpc:call/4 and code:load_binary/3. This vulnerability is associated with program file lib/ssl/src/inet_tls_dist.erl. This issue affects OTP from OTP 26.0 before 29.0.2, 28.5.0.2 and 27.3.4.13 corresponding to ssl from 11.0 before 11.7.2, 11.6.0.2 and 11.2.12.9.

httpc leaks Authorization header to cross-origin redirect targets

Sensitive Data Exposure vulnerability in Erlang OTP inets (httpc_response module) allows Retrieve Embedded Sensitive Data. The httpc client forwards the Authorization and Proxy-Authorization request headers to redirect targets without checking whether the redirect crosses an origin boundary. httpc_response:redirect/2 constructs the redirected request by updating only the host field of the header record; all other fields (including authorization and proxy_authorization) are copied verbatim. The redirect target host is never compared against the original host. autoredirect defaults to true, so this affects all httpc callers that do not explicitly disable automatic redirects. An attacker who controls a server that the victim contacts via httpc can issue a cross-origin 3xx redirect to a server they also control. The Authorization header (including Basic credentials derived from URL userinfo via httpc_request:handle_user_info/2) is forwarded to the redirect target, allowing credential theft. The same applies to the Proxy-Authorization header. This vulnerability is associated with program files lib/inets/src/http_client/httpc_response.erl. This issue affects OTP from 17.0 before 29.0.2, 28.5.0.2 and 27.3.4.13 corresponding to inets from 5.10 before 9.7.1, 9.6.2.2 and 9.3.2.6.

Discourse prevents hidden profile data leak via user onebox

Discourse is an open-source discussion platform. Prior to versions 2026.3.0-latest.1, 2026.2.1, and 2026.1.2, when a user has `hide_profile` enabled, their bio, location, and website were still exposed through the user onebox preview. An authenticated user could request a onebox for a hidden user's profile URL and receive their hidden profile fields (bio, location, website) in the response. Versions 2026.3.0-latest.1, 2026.2.1, and 2026.1.2 contain a patch. No known workarounds are available.

Wekan Credential Leak via notificationUsers Publication Exposes Password Hashes and Session Tokens

Wekan is an open source kanban tool built with Meteor. In versions 8.31.0 through 8.33, the notificationUsers publication in Wekan publishes user documents with no field filtering, causing the ReactiveCache.getUsers() call to return all fields including highly sensitive data such as bcrypt password hashes, active session login tokens, email verification tokens, full email addresses, and any stored OAuth tokens. Unlike Meteor's default auto-publication which strips the services field for security, custom publications return whatever fields the cursor contains, meaning all subscribers receive the complete user documents. Any authenticated user who triggers this publication can harvest credentials and active session tokens for other users, enabling password cracking, session hijacking, and full account takeover. This issue has been fixed in version 8.34.

Seraphinite Accelerator <= 2.28.14 - Authenticated (Subscriber+) Exposure of Sensitive Information to an Unauthorized Actor

The Seraphinite Accelerator plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Sensitive Information Exposure in all versions up to, and including, 2.28.14 via the `seraph_accel_api` AJAX action with `fn=GetData`. This is due to the `OnAdminApi_GetData()` function not performing any capability checks. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to retrieve sensitive operational data including cache status, scheduled task information, and external database state.

File Browser: Path Traversal in Public Share Links Exposes Files Outside Shared Directory

File Browser provides a file managing interface within a specified directory and it can be used to upload, delete, preview, rename and edit files. Prior to version 2.61.0, when a user creates a public share link for a directory, the withHashFile middleware in http/public.go uses filepath.Dir(link.Path) to compute the BasePathFs root. This sets the filesystem root to the parent directory instead of the shared directory itself, allowing anyone with the share link to browse and download files from all sibling directories. This issue has been patched in version 2.61.0.

FacturaScripts: Unstripped Image Metadata (EXIF) Leakage via Library Module File Upload/Download

FacturaScripts is an open source accounting and invoicing software. In versions prior to 2026, the Library module stores and serves uploaded images byte-for-byte, without stripping EXIF/XMP/IPTC metadata. Any authenticated user who downloaded an image could extract the uploader's embedded metadata, which included GPS coordinates, device information, timestamps, embedded comments/notes, thumbnail previews, and other personally identifiable information (PII) preserved in the image metadata. Of all FacturaScripts' image upload features, only the Library module combined unrestricted uploads, persistent storage, authenticated download access, and a total lack of server-side metadata sanitization. This vulnerability carries significant real-world impact: an employee uploading a photo taken at their home inadvertently discloses their precise home address to every user with Library download access. This issue has been fixed in version 2026.

Apache Airflow: Sensitive Azure Service Bus connection string (and possibly other providers) exposed to users with view access

The `access_key` and `connection_string` connection properties were not marked as sensitive names in secrets masker. This means that user with read permission could see the values in Connection UI, as well as when Connection was accidentaly logged to logs, those values could be seen in the logs. Azure Service Bus used those properties to store sensitive values. Possibly other providers could be also affected if they used the same fields to store sensitive data. If you used Azure Service Bus connection with those values set or if you have other connections with those values storing sensitve values, you should upgrade Airflow to 3.1.8

Potential exposure of Replit tokens to an Unauthorized Actor in @replit/crosis

@replit/crosis is a JavaScript client that speaks Replit's container protocol. A vulnerability that involves exposure of sensitive information exists in versions prior to 7.3.1. When using this library as a way to programmatically communicate with Replit in a standalone fashion, if there are multiple failed attempts to contact Replit through a WebSocket, the library will attempt to communicate using a fallback poll-based proxy. The URL of the proxy has changed, so any communication done to the previous URL could potentially reach a server that is outside of Replit's control and the token used to connect to the Repl could be obtained by an attacker, leading to full compromise of that Repl (not of the account). This was patched in version 7.3.1 by updating the address of the fallback WebSocket polling proxy to the new one. As a workaround, a user may specify the new address for the polling host (`gp-v2.replit.com`) in the `ConnectArgs`. More information about this workaround is available in the GitHub Security Advisory.

Any authenticated user may obtain private message details from other users on the same instance

Lemmy is a link aggregator and forum for the fediverse. Starting in version 0.17.0 and prior to version 0.19.1, users can report private messages, even when they're neither sender nor recipient of the message. The API response to creating a private message report contains the private message itself, which means any user can just iterate over message ids to (loudly) obtain all private messages of an instance. A user with instance admin privileges can also abuse this if the private message is removed from the response, as they're able to see the resulting reports. Creating a private message report by POSTing to `/api/v3/private_message/report` does not validate whether the reporter is the recipient of the message. lemmy-ui does not allow the sender to report the message; the API method should likely be restricted to accessible to recipients only. The API response when creating a report contains the `private_message_report_view` with all the details of the report, including the private message that has been reported: Any authenticated user can obtain arbitrary (untargeted) private message contents. Privileges required depend on the instance configuration; when registrations are enabled without application system, the privileges required are practically none. When registration applications are required, privileges required could be considered low, but this assessment heavily varies by instance. Version 0.19.1 contains a patch for this issue. A workaround is available. If an update to a fixed Lemmy version is not immediately possible, the API route can be blocked in the reverse proxy. This will prevent anyone from reporting private messages, but it will also prevent exploitation before the update has been applied.

Security issue in fhir-works-on-aws-authz-smart

fhir-works-on-aws-authz-smart is an implementation of the authorization interface from the FHIR Works interface. Versions 3.1.1 and 3.1.2 are subject to Exposure of Sensitive Information to an Unauthorized Actor. This issue allows a client of the API to retrieve more information than the client’s OAuth scope permits when making “search-type” requests. This issue would not allow a client to retrieve information about individuals other than those the client was already authorized to access. Users of fhir-works-on-aws-authz-smart 3.1.1 or 3.1.2 should upgrade to version 3.1.3 or higher immediately. Versions 3.1.0 and below are unaffected. There is no workaround for this issue.

Apache Airflow: Incomplete Redaction of Sensitive Fields in Connection Extra API Response

A bug in the GET `/api/v2/connections/{connection_id}` REST API endpoint in Apache Airflow allowed an authenticated UI/API user with Connection-read permission to retrieve secrets stored in a Connection's `extra` JSON blob under field names not present in the redaction allowlist (`DEFAULT_SENSITIVE_FIELDS`) — for example, official Slack-provider credential field names were returned in plaintext. Affects deployments that store credentials in Connection `extra` blobs and grant Connection-read access to multiple users. Users are advised to upgrade to `apache-airflow` 3.2.2 or later. As a defense-in-depth mitigation, deployment operators can store sensitive credential values in a secret-backend rather than inlined into the Connection's `extra` field.
