Budibase: POST /api/attachments/:datasourceId/url is unauthenticated and lets anonymous callers mint S3 PUT pre-signed URLs using stored datasource IAM credentials

Budibase is an open-source low-code platform. Prior to 3.39.0, an anonymous attacker who knows or can enumerate a workspace id (app_...) and an S3-source datasource id (ds_...) can call this endpoint with no auth and obtain a 15-minute pre-signed PUT URL minted on the victim's IAM identity. The endpoint also returns the publicUrl so the attacker knows exactly where their PUT lands. Because bucket is attacker-controlled, the attacker can write to any bucket those IAM credentials can write to, not only the bucket the datasource was configured for. The Budibase server route POST /api/attachments/:datasourceId/url (packages/server/src/api/routes/static.ts) is registered with only the recaptcha middleware. There is no authorized(...) middleware in the chain. The controller (packages/server/src/api/controllers/static/index.ts::getSignedUploadURL) looks the requested datasource up, instantiates an AWS S3 client with the datasource's stored accessKeyId / secretAccessKey, and returns an AWS Signature V4 pre-signed PutObjectCommand URL for the caller-supplied bucket and key. The bucket is not pinned to the datasource's configured bucket. The workspace context required by sdk.datasources.get is sourced by getWorkspaceIdFromCtx (packages/backend-core/src/utils/utils.ts) from any of: the x-budibase-app-id header, the JSON body appId, a path segment that begins with the workspace prefix, or ?appId=. auth.buildAuthMiddleware([], { publicAllowed: true }) runs before any of this and explicitly allows anonymous requests. The currentWorkspace middleware's "deny access to dev preview" branch only triggers under isBrowser(ctx) && !isApiKey(ctx); isBrowser checks the parsed User-Agent for a recognised browser, so any non-browser client (curl, the supplied PoC, any tool not setting a browser UA) is neither and reaches dev workspaces too. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.39.0.

Budibase: SCIM endpoints lack role-based authorization, BASIC users CRUD tenant users

Budibase is an open-source low-code platform. Prior to 3.38.2, packages/worker/src/api/routes/global/scim.ts attaches only two middlewares to the SCIM router: requireSCIM (checks the Enterprise feature flag and SCIM config) and doInScimContext (sets the SCIM request context). There is no role check. Any authenticated user who reaches the worker (BASIC role, workspace-scoped builder, anyone) can call SCIM endpoints and CRUD every user and group in the tenant. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.38.2.

Budibase: Webhook schema endpoint authorization bypass allows unauthenticated mutation of webhook and automation schema

Budibase is an open-source low-code platform. Prior to 3.39.0, the webhook schema-building endpoint is registered under builderRoutes, but the generic authorization middleware skips authorization for all paths matching /api/webhooks/schema. As a result, an unauthenticated caller can update the body schema for a known webhook and mutate the corresponding automation trigger output schema. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.39.0.

Budibase: `PUT /api/datasources/:datasourceId` is protected only by `TABLE/READ` permission instead of builder access, allowing any authenticated app user to overwrite datasource connection parameters including host, port, and URL.

Budibase is an open-source low-code platform. Prior to 3.38.1, Budibase exposes a REST API for datasource management. The route PUT /api/datasources/:datasourceId is registered in the authorizedRoutes group with TABLE/READ permission. This is the same authorization level as the read endpoint (GET /api/datasources/:datasourceId). Every authenticated Budibase app user with the BASIC built-in role or higher carries TABLE/WRITE (and therefore TABLE/READ) permissions, and the datasource update controller performs no additional builder check. As a result, any authenticated non-builder app user can submit a PUT request to rewrite a datasource's config object — including the connection host, port, database credentials, or the base url of a REST datasource. Because no network-level SSRF protection is applied to SQL driver connections, redirecting a PostgreSQL/MySQL/MongoDB datasource to an internal IP address succeeds and the attacker can probe or interact with internal services on arbitrary ports. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.38.1.

Budibase Critical Privilege Escalation & IDOR via Missing RBAC on User Role Management (Creator-Role)

Budibase is a low code platform for creating internal tools, workflows, and admin panels. This issue is a combination of Vertical Privilege Escalation and IDOR (Insecure Direct Object Reference) due to missing server-side RBAC checks in the /api/global/users endpoints. A Creator-level user, who should have no permissions to manage users or organizational roles, can instead promote an App Viewer to Tenant Admin, demote a Tenant Admin to App Viewer, or modify the Owner’s account details and all orders (e.g., change name). This is because the API accepts these actions without validating the requesting role, a Creator can replay Owner-only requests using their own session tokens. This leads to full tenant compromise.

Dokploy's Preview Deployments are vulnerable to Remote Code Execution

Dokploy is a free, self-hostable Platform as a Service (PaaS). Prior to version 0.24.3, an unauthenticated preview deployment vulnerability in Dokploy allows any user to execute arbitrary code and access sensitive environment variables by simply opening a pull request on a public repository. This exposes secrets and potentially enables remote code execution, putting all public Dokploy users using these preview deployments at risk. Version 0.24.3 contains a fix for the issue.

Grav: Privilege Escalation via Missing Server-Side Validation of groups/access

Grav is a file-based Web platform. Prior to 2.0.0-beta.2, the Login::register() method in the Login plugin accepts attacker-controlled groups and access fields from the registration POST data without server-side validation. When registration is enabled and groups or access are included in the configured allowed fields list, an unauthenticated user can self-register with admin.super privileges by injecting these fields into the registration request. Appsmith public apps can execute unpublished actions (viewMode confusion)

Appsmith is a platform to build admin panels, internal tools, and dashboards. In versions 1.94 and below, publicly accessible apps allow unauthenticated users to execute unpublished (edit-mode) actions by sending viewMode=false (or omitting it) to POST /api/v1/actions/execute. This bypasses the expected publish boundary where public viewers should only execute published actions, not edit-mode versions. An attack can result in sensitive data exposure, execution of edit‑mode queries and APIs, development data access, and the ability to trigger side effect behavior. This issue does not have a released fix at the time of publication.

A vulnerability exists in the Aptsys POS Platform Web Services module thru 2025-05-28, which exposes internal API testing tools to unauthenticated users. By accessing specific URLs, an attacker is presented with a directory-style index listing all available backend services and POS web services, each with an HTML form for submitting test input. These panels are intended for developer use, but are accessible in production environments with no authentication or session validation. This grants any external actor the ability to discover, test, and execute API endpoints that perform critical functions including but not limited to user transaction retrieval, credit adjustments, POS actions, and internal data queries.
