Flask-AppBuilder versions before 4.3.0 lack rate limiting which can allow an attacker to brute-force user credentials. Version 4.3.0 includes the ability to enable rate limiting using `AUTH_RATE_LIMITED = True`, `RATELIMIT_ENABLED = True`, and setting an `AUTH_RATE_LIMIT`.
The Telenav Scout GPS Link app 1.x for iOS, as used with Toyota and Lexus vehicles, has an incorrect protection mechanism against brute-force attacks on the authentication process, which makes it easier for attackers to obtain multimedia-screen access via port 7050 on the cellular network, as demonstrated by a DrivingRestriction method call to uma/jsonrpc/mobile.
OpenStack Keystone 10.x through 16.x before 16.0.2, 17.x before 17.0.1, 18.x before 18.0.1, and 19.x before 19.0.1 allows information disclosure during account locking (related to PCI DSS features). By guessing the name of an account and failing to authenticate multiple times, any unauthenticated actor could both confirm the account exists and obtain that account's corresponding UUID, which might be leveraged for other unrelated attacks. All deployments enabling security_compliance.lockout_failure_attempts are affected.
InHand Networks IR615 Router's Versions 2.3.0.r4724 and 2.3.0.r4870 have has no account lockout policy configured for the login page of the product. This may allow an attacker to execute a brute-force password attack with no time limitation and without harming the normal operation of the user. This could allow an attacker to gain valid credentials for the product interface.
XWiki Platform is a generic wiki platform. Starting in version 3.2-m3, users can deduce the content of the password fields by repeated call to `LiveTableResults` and `WikisLiveTableResultsMacros`. The issue can be fixed by upgrading to versions 14.7-rc-1, 13.4.4, or 13.10.9 and higher, or in version >= 3.2M3 by applying the patch manually on `LiveTableResults` and `WikisLiveTableResultsMacros`.
The login page of Revive Adserver v5.4.1 is vulnerable to brute force attacks. NOTE: The vendor's position is that this is effectively mitigated by rate limits and password-quality features.
Some Xerox printers (such as the Phaser 3320 V53.006.16.000) did not implement account lockout. Local account credentials may be extracted from the device via brute force guessing attacks.
IBM Verify Gateway (IVG) 1.0.0 and 1.0.1 uses an inadequate account lockout setting that could allow a remote attacker to brute force account credentials. IBM X-Force ID: 179478.

Nextcloud Server is a Nextcloud package that handles data storage. In versions prior to 19.0.13, 20.011, and 21.0.3, there was a lack of ratelimiting on the shareinfo endpoint. This may have allowed an attacker to enumerate potentially valid share tokens. The issue was fixed in versions 19.0.13, 20.0.11, and 21.0.3. There are no known workarounds.
Ricoh SP C250DN 1.05 devices have an Authentication Method Vulnerable to Brute Force Attacks. Some Ricoh printers did not implement account lockout. Therefore, it was possible to obtain the local account credentials by brute force.
IBM Security Identity Governance and Intelligence 5.2.6 could allow an attacker to enumerate usernames to find valid login credentials which could be used to attempt further attacks against the system. IBM X-Force ID: 175336.
An issue was discovered in Joomla! 4.2.0 through 4.3.1. The lack of rate limiting allowed brute force attacks against MFA methods.
Lexmark products through 2023-01-10 have Improper Control of Interaction Frequency.
An issue was discovered in Stormshield SNS through 4.2.1. A brute-force attack can occur.
index.php?r=site%2Flogin in EduSec through 4.2.6 does not restrict sending a series of LoginForm[username] and LoginForm[password] parameters, which might make it easier for remote attackers to obtain access via a brute-force approach.
An issue was discovered in /cgi-bin/luci on Teltonika RTU9XX (e.g., RUT950) R_31.04.89 before R_00.05.00.5 devices. The authentication functionality is not protected from automated tools used to make login attempts to the application. An anonymous attacker has the ability to make unlimited login attempts with an automated tool. This ability could lead to cracking a targeted user's password.
File Browser provides a file managing interface within a specified directory and it can be used to upload, delete, preview, rename and edit files. Prior to version 2.34.1, a missing password policy and brute-force protection makes the authentication process insecure. Attackers could mount a brute-force attack to retrieve the passwords of all accounts in a given instance. This issue has been patched in version 2.34.1.

IBM Security Guardium 11.2 uses an inadequate account lockout setting that could allow a remote attacker to brute force account credentials. IBM X-Force ID: 196314.
Trilium Notes is an open-source, cross-platform hierarchical note taking application with focus on building large personal knowledge bases. In versions below 0.97.0, a brute-force protection bypass in the initial sync seed retrieval endpoint allows unauthenticated attackers to guess the login password without triggering rate limiting. Trilium is a single-user app without a username requirement, and brute-force protection bypass makes exploitation much more feasible. Multiple features provided by Trilium (e.g. MFA, share notes, custom request handler) indicate that Trilium can be exposed to the internet. This is fixed in version 0.97.0.
A vulnerability in the Gleez CMS 1.2.0 login page could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to perform multiple user enumerations, which can further help an attacker to perform login attempts in excess of the configured login attempt limit. The vulnerability is due to insufficient server-side access control and login attempt limit enforcement. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending modified login attempts to the Portal login page. An exploit could allow the attacker to identify existing users and perform brute-force password attacks on the Portal, as demonstrated by navigating to the user/4 URI.
IBM BigFix Platform 9.2 and 9.5 uses an inadequate account lockout setting that could allow a remote attacker to brute force account credentials. IBM X-Force ID: 140756.
A CWE-307 Improper Restriction of Excessive Authentication Attempts vulnerability exists in Easergy T300 (Firmware version 1.5.2 and older) which could allow an attacker to gain full access by brute force.
HCL AppScan Standard is vulnerable to excessive authorization attempts
LimitLoginAttempts.php in the limit-login-attempts-reloaded plugin before 2.17.4 for WordPress allows a bypass of (per IP address) rate limits because the X-Forwarded-For header can be forged. When the plugin is configured to accept an arbitrary header for the client source IP address, a malicious user is not limited to perform a brute force attack, because the client IP header accepts any arbitrary string. When randomizing the header input, the login count does not ever reach the maximum allowed retries.
In Solstice Pod before 3.3.0 (or Open4.3), the Administrator password can be enumerated using brute-force attacks via the /Config/service/initModel?password= Solstice Open Control API because there is no complexity requirement (e.g., it might be all digits or all lowercase letters).
Password guessing limits could be bypassed when using LDAP authentication.
A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, has been found in WBCE CMS. Affected by this issue is the function increase_attempts of the file wbce/framework/class.login.php of the component Header Handler. The manipulation of the argument X-Forwarded-For leads to improper restriction of excessive authentication attempts. The attack may be launched remotely. The name of the patch is d394ba39a7bfeb31eda797b6195fd90ef74b2e75. It is recommended to apply a patch to fix this issue. The identifier of this vulnerability is VDB-213716.
An issue was discovered in EasyVista 2020.2.125.3 and 2022.1.109.0.03. Part of the application does not implement protection against brute-force attacks. Version 2022.1.133.0 corrects this issue.

An attacker can freely brute force username and password and can takeover any account. An attacker could easily guess user passwords and gain access to user and administrative accounts.
JHipster generator-jhipster before 2.23.0 allows a timing attack against validateToken due to a string comparison that stops at the first character that is different. Attackers can guess tokens by brute forcing one character at a time and observing the timing. This of course drastically reduces the search space to a linear amount of guesses based on the token length times the possible characters.
In Sorcery before 0.15.0, there is a brute force vulnerability when using password authentication via Sorcery. The brute force protection submodule will prevent a brute force attack for the defined lockout period, but once expired, protection will not be re-enabled until a user or malicious actor logs in successfully. This does not affect users that do not use the built-in brute force protection submodule, nor users that use permanent account lockout. This has been patched in 0.15.0.
An issue was discovered on Samsung mobile devices with O(8.x) (with TEEGRIS) software. The Gatekeeper Trustlet allows a brute-force attack on user credentials. The Samsung ID is SVE-2020-16908 (June 2020).
