The Kerberos 4 support in KDC in MIT Kerberos 5 (krb5kdc) does not properly clear the unused portion of a buffer when generating an error message, which might allow remote attackers to obtain sensitive information, aka "Uninitialized stack values."
The get_sos function in jdmarker.c in (1) libjpeg 6b and (2) libjpeg-turbo through 1.3.0, as used in Google Chrome before 31.0.1650.48, Ghostscript, and other products, does not check for certain duplications of component data during the reading of segments that follow Start Of Scan (SOS) JPEG markers, which allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive information from uninitialized memory locations via a crafted JPEG image.
The ".encfs6.xml" configuration file in encfs before 1.7.5 allows remote attackers to access sensitive data by setting "blockMACBytes" to 0 and adding 8 to "blockMACRandBytes".
viewvc 1.0.3 allows improper access control to files in a repository when using the "forbidden" configuration option.
The default configuration for twiki 4.1.2 on Debian GNU/Linux, and possibly other operating systems, specifies the work area directory (cfg{RCS}{WorkAreaDir}) under the web document root, which might allow remote attackers to obtain sensitive information when .htaccess restrictions are not applied.
Buffer Overflow in uudecoder in Mutt affecting all versions starting from 0.94.13 before 2.2.3 allows read past end of input line
OpenAFS before 1.6.24 and 1.8.x before 1.8.5 is prone to an information disclosure vulnerability because uninitialized scalars are sent over the network to a peer.
duplicity 0.6.24 has improper verification of SSL certificates
lighttpd before 1.4.34, when SNI is enabled, configures weak SSL ciphers, which makes it easier for remote attackers to hijack sessions by inserting packets into the client-server data stream or obtain sensitive information by sniffing the network.
An information disclosure vulnerability exists in the OpenImageIO::decode_iptc_iim() functionality of OpenImageIO Project OpenImageIO v2.3.19.0. A specially-crafted TIFF file can lead to a disclosure of sensitive information. An attacker can provide a malicious file to trigger this vulnerability.
In PHP versions 7.2.x below 7.2.30, 7.3.x below 7.3.17 and 7.4.x below 7.4.5, if PHP is compiled with EBCDIC support (uncommon), urldecode() function can be made to access locations past the allocated memory, due to erroneously using signed numbers as array indexes.
When Private Browsing mode is used, it is possible for a web worker to write persistent data to IndexedDB and fingerprint a user uniquely. IndexedDB should not be available in Private Browsing mode and this stored data will persist across multiple private browsing mode sessions because it is not cleared when exiting. This vulnerability affects Firefox ESR < 52.5.2 and Firefox < 57.0.1.
Improper Access Control in Adminer versions 1.12.0 to 4.6.2 (fixed in version 4.6.3) allows an attacker to achieve Arbitrary File Read on the remote server by requesting the Adminer to connect to a remote MySQL database.
browser/extensions/api/tabs/tabs_api.cc in Google Chrome before 28.0.1500.71 does not properly enforce restrictions on the capture of screenshots by extensions, which allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive information about the content of a previous page via vectors involving an interstitial page.
The SharedMemory::Create function in memory/shared_memory_posix.cc in Google Chrome before 29.0.1547.57 uses weak permissions under /dev/shm/, which allows attackers to obtain sensitive information via direct access to a POSIX shared-memory file.
MediaWiki before 1.19.4 and 1.20.x before 1.20.3 contains an error in the api.php script which allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive information.
GLPI 0.83.7 has Local File Inclusion in common.tabs.php.
All versions of Apache Santuario - XML Security for Java prior to 2.2.3 and 2.1.7 are vulnerable to an issue where the "secureValidation" property is not passed correctly when creating a KeyInfo from a KeyInfoReference element. This allows an attacker to abuse an XPath Transform to extract any local .xml files in a RetrievalMethod element.
phpMyAdmin 4.0.x before 4.0.10.16, 4.4.x before 4.4.15.7, and 4.6.x before 4.6.3 allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive information via vectors involving (1) an array value to FormDisplay.php, (2) incorrect data to validate.php, (3) unexpected data to Validator.php, (4) a missing config directory during setup, or (5) an incorrect OpenID identifier data type, which reveals the full path in an error message.
Video files loaded video captions cross-origin without checking for the presence of CORS headers permitting such cross-origin use, leading to potential information disclosure for video captions. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 52, Firefox ESR < 45.8, Thunderbird < 52, and Thunderbird < 45.8.
Best Practical Request Tracker (RT) 4.2 before 4.2.17, 4.4 before 4.4.5, and 5.0 before 5.0.2 allows sensitive information disclosure via a timing attack against lib/RT/REST2/Middleware/Auth.pm.
An issue was discovered in HAProxy 2.2 before 2.2.16, 2.3 before 2.3.13, and 2.4 before 2.4.3. It does not ensure that the scheme and path portions of a URI have the expected characters. For example, the authority field (as observed on a target HTTP/2 server) might differ from what the routing rules were intended to achieve.
A buffer overflow vulnerability while parsing "application/http-index-format" format content when the header contains improperly formatted data. This allows for an out-of-bounds read of data from memory. This vulnerability affects Thunderbird < 52.1, Firefox ESR < 45.9, Firefox ESR < 52.1, and Firefox < 53.
The Linux 2.4 kernel patch in kernel-patch-vserver before 1.9.5.5 and 2.x before 2.3 for Debian GNU/Linux does not correctly set the "chroot barrier" with util-vserver, which allows attackers to access files on the host system that are outside of the vserver.
Malicious attacker is able to find out valid user logins by using the "lost password" feature. This issue affects: OTRS AG ((OTRS)) Community Edition version 6.0.1 and later versions. OTRS AG OTRS 7.0.x version 7.0.28 and prior versions.
A flaw was found in xorg-server. A specially crafted request to RRChangeProviderProperty or RRChangeOutputProperty can trigger an integer overflow which may lead to a disclosure of sensitive information.
Libgcrypt before 1.8.8 and 1.9.x before 1.9.3 mishandles ElGamal encryption because it lacks exponent blinding to address a side-channel attack against mpi_powm, and the window size is not chosen appropriately. This, for example, affects use of ElGamal in OpenPGP.
Redmine before 4.0.9 and 4.1.x before 4.1.3 allows an attacker to learn the values of internal authentication keys by observing timing differences in string comparison operations within SysController and MailHandlerController.
Insufficient input validation in the Git repository integration of Redmine before 4.0.9, 4.1.x before 4.1.3, and 4.2.x before 4.2.1 allows Redmine users to read arbitrary local files accessible by the application server process.
In Django 2.2 before 2.2.21, 3.1 before 3.1.9, and 3.2 before 3.2.1, MultiPartParser, UploadedFile, and FieldFile allowed directory traversal via uploaded files with suitably crafted file names.
An issue was discovered in Ruby through 2.6.7, 2.7.x through 2.7.3, and 3.x through 3.0.1. A malicious FTP server can use the PASV response to trick Net::FTP into connecting back to a given IP address and port. This potentially makes curl extract information about services that are otherwise private and not disclosed (e.g., the attacker can conduct port scans and service banner extractions).
An issue was discovered in Prosody before 0.11.9. The undocumented dialback_without_dialback option in mod_dialback enables an experimental feature for server-to-server authentication. It does not correctly authenticate remote server certificates, allowing a remote server to impersonate another server (when this option is enabled).
Redmine before 4.0.8 and 4.1.x before 4.1.2 allows attackers to discover the names of private projects if issue-journal details exist that have changes to project_id values.
In Django 2.2 before 2.2.20, 3.0 before 3.0.14, and 3.1 before 3.1.8, MultiPartParser allowed directory traversal via uploaded files with suitably crafted file names. Built-in upload handlers were not affected by this vulnerability.
In PHP versions 8.0.* before 8.0.30, 8.1.* before 8.1.22, and 8.2.* before 8.2.8 various XML functions rely on libxml global state to track configuration variables, like whether external entities are loaded. This state is assumed to be unchanged unless the user explicitly changes it by calling appropriate function. However, since the state is process-global, other modules - such as ImageMagick - may also use this library within the same process, and change that global state for their internal purposes, and leave it in a state where external entities loading is enabled. This can lead to the situation where external XML is parsed with external entities loaded, which can lead to disclosure of any local files accessible to PHP. This vulnerable state may persist in the same process across many requests, until the process is shut down.
When responding to new h2c connection requests, Apache Tomcat versions 10.0.0-M1 to 10.0.0, 9.0.0.M1 to 9.0.41 and 8.5.0 to 8.5.61 could duplicate request headers and a limited amount of request body from one request to another meaning user A and user B could both see the results of user A's request.
IP masquerading in Linux 2.2.x allows remote attackers to route UDP packets through the internal interface by modifying the external source IP address and port number to match those of an established connection.
An issue was discovered in Arm Mbed TLS before 2.23.0. Because of a side channel in modular exponentiation, an RSA private key used in a secure enclave could be disclosed.
An issue was discovered in Arm Mbed TLS before 2.23.0. A remote attacker can recover plaintext because a certain Lucky 13 countermeasure doesn't properly consider the case of a hardware accelerator.
Redmine before 4.0.7 and 4.1.x before 4.1.1 allows attackers to discover the subject of a non-visible issue by performing a CSV export and reading time entries.
In MediaWiki before 1.35.1, the messages userrights-expiry-current and userrights-expiry-none can contain raw HTML. XSS can happen when a user visits Special:UserRights but does not have rights to change all userrights, and the table on the left side has unchangeable groups in it. (The right column with the changeable groups is not affected and is escaped correctly.)
In AWStats through 7.8, cgi-bin/awstats.pl?config= accepts a partial absolute pathname (omitting the initial /etc), even though it was intended to only read a file in the /etc/awstats/awstats.conf format. NOTE: this issue exists because of an incomplete fix for CVE-2017-1000501 and CVE-2020-29600.
An issue was discovered in xrdp before 0.9.1. When successfully logging in using RDP into an xrdp session, the file ~/.vnc/sesman_${username}_passwd is created. Its content is the equivalent of the user's cleartext password, DES encrypted with a known key.
The (1) Kate and (2) Kwrite applications in KDE KDE 3.2.x through 3.4.0 do not properly set the same permissions on the backup file as were set on the original file, which could allow local users and possibly remote attackers to obtain sensitive information.
SphinxSearch in Sphinx Technologies Sphinx through 3.1.1 allows directory traversal (in conjunction with CVE-2019-14511) because the mysql client can be used for CALL SNIPPETS and load_file operations on a full pathname (e.g., a file in the /etc directory). NOTE: this is unrelated to CMUSphinx.
Use-after-free vulnerability in nginx before 1.0.14 and 1.1.x before 1.1.17 allows remote HTTP servers to obtain sensitive information from process memory via a crafted backend response, in conjunction with a client request.
XStream is a Java library to serialize objects to XML and back again. In XStream before version 1.4.15, a Server-Side Forgery Request vulnerability can be activated when unmarshalling. The vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to request data from internal resources that are not publicly available only by manipulating the processed input stream. If you rely on XStream's default blacklist of the Security Framework, you will have to use at least version 1.4.15. The reported vulnerability does not exist if running Java 15 or higher. No user is affected who followed the recommendation to setup XStream's Security Framework with a whitelist! Anyone relying on XStream's default blacklist can immediately switch to a whilelist for the allowed types to avoid the vulnerability. Users of XStream 1.4.14 or below who still want to use XStream default blacklist can use a workaround described in more detailed in the referenced advisories.
In PHP before 5.6.32, 7.x before 7.0.25, and 7.1.x before 7.1.11, an error in the date extension's timelib_meridian handling of 'front of' and 'back of' directives could be used by attackers able to supply date strings to leak information from the interpreter, related to ext/date/lib/parse_date.c out-of-bounds reads affecting the php_parse_date function. NOTE: this is a different issue than CVE-2017-11145.
Inappropriate implementation in BoringSSL SPAKE2 in Google Chrome prior to 63.0.3239.84 allowed a remote attacker to leak the low-order bits of SHA512(password) by inspecting protocol traffic.
webauth before 4.6.1 has authentication credential disclosure
