C-blosc2 before 2.9.3 was discovered to contain a NULL pointer dereference via the function zfp_prec_decompress at zfp/blosc2-zfp.c.
The QCMAP_Web_CLIENT binary in the Qualcomm QCMAP software suite prior to versions released in October 2020 does not validate the return value of a strstr() or strchr() call in the Tokenizer() function. An attacker who invokes the web interface with a crafted URL can crash the process, causing denial of service. This version of QCMAP is used in many kinds of networking devices, primarily mobile hotspots and LTE routers.
C-blosc2 before 2.9.3 was discovered to contain a NULL pointer dereference via the function zfp_rate_decompress at zfp/blosc2-zfp.c.
An issue was discovered on Samsung mobile devices with KK(4.4), L(5.0/5.1), and M(6.0) software. There is a NULL pointer exception in PersonManager, causing memory corruption. The Samsung ID is SVE-2017-8286 (June 2017).
Crash in the Gryphon dissector in Wireshark 3.4.0 to 3.4.10 allows denial of service via packet injection or crafted capture file
In Wireshark before 2.2.12, the MRDISC dissector misuses a NULL pointer and crashes. This was addressed in epan/dissectors/packet-mrdisc.c by validating an IPv4 address. This vulnerability is similar to CVE-2017-9343.
In the startread function in xa.c in Sound eXchange (SoX) through 14.4.2, a corrupt header specifying zero channels triggers an infinite loop with a resultant NULL pointer dereference, which may allow a remote attacker to cause a denial-of-service.
An issue was discovered on Samsung mobile devices with M(6.0) software. The multiwindow_facade API allows attackers to cause a NullPointerException and system halt via an attempted screen touch of a non-existing display. The Samsung ID is SVE-2017-9383 (August 2017).

A crafted HTTP packet without a content-type header can create a denial-of-service condition in Softing Secure Integration Server V1.22.
DCMTK through 3.6.6 does not handle string copy properly. Sending specific requests to the dcmqrdb program, it would query its database and copy the result even if the result is null, which can incur a head-based overflow. An attacker can use it to launch a DoS attack.

Due to insufficient validation of packets, which could be exploited to cause process crash.
There is a NULL pointer dereference vulnerability in VTK before 9.2.5, and it lies in IO/Infovis/vtkXMLTreeReader.cxx. The vendor didn't check the return value of libxml2 API 'xmlDocGetRootElement', and try to dereference it. It is unsafe as the return value can be NULL and that NULL pointer dereference may crash the application.

An unauthenticated, remote attacker could craft malformed packets and send the packets to the affected products. Due to insufficient validation of packets, which could be exploited to cause process crash.
In Heimdal through 7.4, remote unauthenticated attackers are able to crash the KDC by sending a crafted UDP packet containing empty data fields for client name or realm. The parser would unconditionally dereference NULL pointers in that case, leading to a segmentation fault. This is related to the _kdc_as_rep function in kdc/kerberos5.c and the der_length_visible_string function in lib/asn1/der_length.c.
Denial of service in modem due to null pointer dereference while processing DNS packets

There is a NULL pointer dereference in media/libcedarc/vdecoder of Allwinner R818 SoC Android Q SDK V1.0, which could cause a media crash (denial of service).
A vulnerability has been found in D-Link DIR-823X 240126/240802 and classified as critical. Affected by this vulnerability is the function FUN_00412244. The manipulation leads to null pointer dereference. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used.
In GNU Libextractor 1.4, there is a NULL Pointer Dereference in the EXTRACTOR_nsf_extract_method function of plugins/nsf_extractor.c.
Samsung Kies before 2.5.0.12094_27_11 contains a NULL pointer dereference vulnerability which could allow remote attackers to perform a denial of service.
There is a NULL pointer deference in the Allwinner R818 SoC Android Q SDK V1.0 camera driver /dev/cedar_dev that could use the ioctl cmd IOCTL_GET_IOMMU_ADDR to cause a system crash.
A NULL pointer deference vulnerability has been identified in the protocol converter. An attacker could send a specially crafted packet that could reboot the device running Crimson 3.1 (Build versions prior to 3119.001).
RIOT-OS, an operating system for Internet of Things (IoT) devices, contains a network stack with the ability to process 6LoWPAN frames. In versions 2023.01 and prior, an attacker can send a crafted frame which is forwarded by the device. During encoding of the packet a NULL pointer dereference occurs. This crashes the device leading to denial of service. A patch is available at pull request 19678. There are no known workarounds.
Mercedes-Benz head-unit NTG6 contains functions to import or export profile settings over USB. Some values of this table are serialized archive according boost library. The boost library contains a vulnerability/null pointer dereference.
An exploitable denial of service vulnerability exists in the web server functionality of Moxa EDR-810 V4.1 build 17030317. A specially crafted HTTP URI can cause a null pointer dereference resulting in denial of service. An attacker can send a GET request to "/MOXA\_CFG2.ini" without a cookie header to trigger this vulnerability.

Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated.
A flaw was found in the QEMU built-in VNC server. When a client connects to the VNC server, QEMU checks whether the current number of connections crosses a certain threshold and if so, cleans up the previous connection. If the previous connection happens to be in the handshake phase and fails, QEMU cleans up the connection again, resulting in a NULL pointer dereference issue. This could allow a remote unauthenticated client to cause a denial of service.

An issue was discovered in GnuTLS before 3.6.15. A server can trigger a NULL pointer dereference in a TLS 1.3 client if a no_renegotiation alert is sent with unexpected timing, and then an invalid second handshake occurs. The crash happens in the application's error handling path, where the gnutls_deinit function is called after detecting a handshake failure.
ldebug.c in Lua 5.4.0 attempts to access debug information via the line hook of a stripped function, leading to a NULL pointer dereference.
