Bypass vulnerability in the network search instruction authentication module Impact: Successful exploitation of this vulnerability can bypass authentication and enable access to some network search functions.
Improper access controls in the web management portal of the Tenda RX2 Pro 16.03.30.14 allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to enable 'ate' (a remote system management binary) by sending a /goform/ate web request.
The URIMappingInterceptor in Apache CXF before 2.5.8, 2.6.x before 2.6.5, and 2.7.x before 2.7.2, when using the WSS4JInInterceptor, bypasses WS-Security processing, which allows remote attackers to obtain access to SOAP services via an HTTP GET request.
Improper access controls in the web management portal of the Tenda RX2 Pro 16.03.30.14 allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to enable telnet access to the router's OS by sending a /goform/telnet web request.
Apache Axis2 allows remote attackers to forge messages and bypass authentication via an "XML Signature wrapping attack."
A flaw was found in all Openshift Enterprise versions using the openshift elasticsearch plugin. An attacker with knowledge of the given name used to authenticate and access Elasticsearch can later access it without the token, bypassing authentication. This attack also requires that the Elasticsearch be configured with an external route, and the data accessed is limited to the indices.
An authentication bypass vulnerability exists in the cgiserver.cgi Login functionality of reolink RLC-410W v3.0.0.136_20121102. A specially-crafted HTTP request can lead to authentication bypass. An attacker can send an HTTP request to trigger this vulnerability.
IBM Cloud Pak Foundational Services Identity Provider (idP) API (IBM Cloud Pak for Automation 18.0.0, 18.0.1, 18.0.2, 19.0.1, 19.0.2, 19.0.3, 20.0.1, 20.0.2, 20.0.3, 21.0.1, 21.0.2, 21.0.3, 22.0.1, and 22.0.2) allows CRUD Operations with an invalid token. This could allow an unauthenticated attacker to view, update, delete or create an IdP configuration. IBM X-Force ID: 261130.
Knowage is an open source analytics and business intelligence suite. Starting in version 6.0.0 and prior to version 8.1.8, an attacker can register and activate their account without having to click on the link included in the email, allowing them access to the application as a normal user. This issue has been patched in version 8.1.8.
The ocsp_check function in rlm_eap_tls.c in FreeRADIUS 2.1.11, when OCSP is enabled, does not properly parse replies from OCSP responders, which allows remote attackers to bypass authentication by using the EAP-TLS protocol with a revoked X.509 client certificate.
Windows 7 is vulnerable to a full blind TCP/IP hijacking attack. The vulnerability exists in Windows 7 (any Windows until Windows 8) and in any implementation of TCP/IP, which is vulnerable to the Idle scan attack (including many IoT devices). NOTE: The vendor considers this a low severity issue.
If you enable Basic Authentication in Pekko Management using the Java DSL, the authenticator may not be properly applied. Users that rely on authentication instead of making sure the Management API ports are only available to trusted users are recommended to upgrade to version 1.1.1, which fixes this issue. Akka was affected by the same issue and has released the fix in version 1.6.1.
Doorkeeper is an OAuth 2 provider for Ruby on Rails / Grape. Prior to version 5.6.6, Doorkeeper automatically processes authorization requests without user consent for public clients that have been previous approved. Public clients are inherently vulnerable to impersonation, their identity cannot be assured. This issue is fixed in version 5.6.6.
Vert.x STOMP is a vert.x implementation of the STOMP specification that provides a STOMP server and client. From versions 3.1.0 until 3.9.16 and 4.0.0 until 4.4.2, a Vert.x STOMP server processes client STOMP frames without checking that the client send an initial CONNECT frame replied with a successful CONNECTED frame. The client can subscribe to a destination or publish message without prior authentication. Any Vert.x STOMP server configured with an authentication handler is impacted. The issue is patched in Vert.x 3.9.16 and 4.4.2. There are no trivial workarounds.
An improper authorization vulnerability exists in Rocket.Chat <6.0 that could allow a hacker to manipulate the rid parameter and change the updateMessage method that only checks whether the user is allowed to edit message in the target room.
A vulnerability was found in libssh, where the authentication check of the connecting client can be bypassed in the`pki_verify_data_signature` function in memory allocation problems. This issue may happen if there is insufficient memory or the memory usage is limited. The problem is caused by the return value `rc,` which is initialized to SSH_ERROR and later rewritten to save the return value of the function call `pki_key_check_hash_compatible.` The value of the variable is not changed between this point and the cryptographic verification. Therefore any error between them calls `goto error` returning SSH_OK.
A flaw was found in 389-ds-base. If an asterisk is imported as password hashes, either accidentally or maliciously, then instead of being inactive, any password will successfully match during authentication. This flaw allows an attacker to successfully authenticate as a user whose password was disabled.
A vulnerability in the web-based management interface of Cisco Enterprise NFV Infrastructure Software (NFVIS) could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to bypass authentication and get limited access to the web-based management interface. The vulnerability is due to an incorrect implementation of authentication in the web-based management interface. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted authentication request to the web-based management interface on an affected system. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to view limited configuration details and potentially upload a virtual machine image.
The Formidable Forms WordPress plugin before 6.1 uses several potentially untrusted headers to determine the IP address of the client, leading to IP Address spoofing and bypass of anti-spam protections.
The dcXmlRpc::setUser method in nc/core/class.dc.xmlrpc.php in Dotclear before 2.6.3 allows remote attackers to bypass authentication via an empty password in an XML-RPC request.
An issue was discovered in drf-jwt 1.15.x before 1.15.1. It allows attackers with access to a notionally invalidated token to obtain a new, working token via the refresh endpoint, because the blacklist protection mechanism is incompatible with the token-refresh feature. NOTE: drf-jwt is a fork of jpadilla/django-rest-framework-jwt, which is unmaintained.
A vulnerability in the implementation of X.509 Version 3 for SSH authentication functionality in Cisco IOS and IOS XE Software could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to bypass authentication on an affected system. It was found that the keycloak before 2.3.0 did not implement authentication flow correctly. An attacker could use this flaw to construct a phishing URL, from which he could hijack the user's session. This could lead to information disclosure, or permit further possible attacks.
Apache CloudStack 4.5.x before 4.5.2.1, 4.6.x before 4.6.2.1, 4.7.x before 4.7.1.1, and 4.8.x before 4.8.0.1, when SAML-based authentication is enabled and used, allow remote attackers to bypass authentication and access the user interface via vectors related to the SAML plugin.
An issue was discovered in Mattermost Server before 3.0.2. The purposes of a session ID and a Session Token were mishandled.
A key length flaw was found in Red Hat Ceph Storage. An attacker can exploit the fact that the key length is incorrectly passed in an encryption algorithm to create a non random key, which is weaker and can be exploited for loss of confidentiality and integrity on encrypted disks.
Thunderbird's handling of the X-Mozilla-External-Attachment-URL header can be exploited to execute JavaScript in the file:/// context. By crafting a nested email attachment (message/rfc822) and setting its content type to application/pdf, Thunderbird may incorrectly render it as HTML when opened, allowing the embedded JavaScript to run without requiring a file download. This behavior relies on Thunderbird auto-saving the attachment to /tmp and linking to it via the file:/// protocol, potentially enabling JavaScript execution as part of the HTML. This vulnerability affects Thunderbird < 128.10.1 and Thunderbird < 138.0.1.
In Ubiquiti Networks EdgeSwitch X v1.1.0 and prior, an unauthenticated user can use the "local port forwarding" and "dynamic port forwarding" (SOCKS proxy) functionalities. Remote attackers without credentials can exploit this bug to access local services or forward traffic through the device if SSH is enabled in the system settings.
An issue was discovered in Scytl sVote 2.1. Because the IP address from an X-Forwarded-For header (which can be manipulated client-side) is used for the internal application logs, an attacker can inject wrong IP addresses into these logs.
Java Open Single Sign-On Project Home (JOSSO) allows remote attackers to forge messages and bypass authentication via a SAML assertion that lacks a Signature element, aka a "Signature exclusion attack."
Red Hat JBoss Operations Network (JON) 3.0.x before 3.0.1, 2.4.2, and earlier, when LDAP authentication is enabled and the LDAP bind account credentials are invalid, allows remote attackers to login to LDAP-based accounts via an arbitrary password in a login request.
Red Hat JBoss Operations Network (JON) before 2.4.2 and 3.0.x before 3.0.1 allows remote attackers to hijack agent sessions via an agent registration request without a security token.
The Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) protocol, when the "external registrar" authentication method is used, does not properly inform clients about failed PIN authentication, which makes it easier for remote attackers to discover the PIN value, and consequently discover the Wi-Fi network password or reconfigure an access point, by reading EAP-NACK messages.
EdgeX Foundry is an open source project for building a common open framework for internet-of-things edge computing. A vulnerability exists in the Edinburgh, Fuji, Geneva, and Hanoi versions of the software. When the EdgeX API gateway is configured for OAuth2 authentication and a proxy user is created, the client_id and client_secret required to obtain an OAuth2 authentication token are set to the username of the proxy user. A remote network attacker can then perform a dictionary-based password attack on the OAuth2 token endpoint of the API gateway to obtain an OAuth2 authentication token and use that token to make authenticated calls to EdgeX microservices from an untrusted network. OAuth2 is the default authentication method in EdgeX Edinburgh release. The default authentication method was changed to JWT in Fuji and later releases. Users should upgrade to the EdgeX Ireland release to obtain the fix. The OAuth2 authentication method is disabled in Ireland release. If unable to upgrade and OAuth2 authentication is required, users should create OAuth2 users directly using the Kong admin API and forgo the use of the `security-proxy-setup` tool to create OAuth2 users.
Microsoft SharePoint Server Spoofing Vulnerability
Red Hat Network (RHN) Satellite Server 5.4 does not use a time delay after a failed login attempt, which makes it easier for remote attackers to conduct brute force password guessing attacks.
Under certain configurations, an attacker can login to Aruba EdgeConnect Enterprise Orchestrator without supplying a multi-factor authentication code. Successful exploitation allows an attacker to login using only a username and password and successfully bypass MFA requirements in Aruba EdgeConnect Enterprise Orchestration Software version(s): Aruba EdgeConnect Enterprise Orchestrator (on-premises), Aruba EdgeConnect Enterprise Orchestrator-as-a-Service, Aruba EdgeConnect Enterprise Orchestrator-SP and Aruba EdgeConnect Enterprise Orchestrator Global Enterprise Tenant Orchestrators - Orchestrator 9.2.1.40179 and below, - Orchestrator 9.1.4.40436 and below, - Orchestrator 9.0.7.40110 and below, - Orchestrator 8.10.23.40015 and below, - Any older branches of Orchestrator not specifically mentioned.
Navidrome is an open source web-based music collection server and streamer. Starting in version 0.52.0 and prior to version 0.54.5, in certain Subsonic API endpoints, a flaw in the authentication check process allows an attacker to specify any arbitrary username that does not exist on the system, along with a salted hash of an empty password. Under these conditions, Navidrome treats the request as authenticated, granting access to various Subsonic endpoints without requiring valid credentials. An attacker can use any non-existent username to bypass the authentication system and gain access to various read-only data in Navidrome, such as user playlists. However, any attempt to modify data fails with a "permission denied" error due to insufficient permissions, limiting the impact to unauthorized viewing of information. Version 0.54.5 contains a patch for this issue.
The CTS Web transaction system related to authentication management is implemented incorrectly. After login, remote attackers can manipulate cookies to access other accounts and trade in the stock market with spoofed identity.
An issue in the /usr/local/bin/jncs.sh script of Gefen WebFWC (In AV over IP products) v1.85h, v1.86v, and v1.70 allows attackers with network access to connect to the device over TCP port 4444 without authentication and execute arbitrary commands with root privileges.
includes/User.php in MediaWiki before 1.16.5, when wgBlockDisablesLogin is enabled, does not clear certain cached data after verification of an auth token fails, which allows remote attackers to bypass authentication by creating crafted wikiUserID and wikiUserName cookies, or by leveraging an unattended workstation.
A logic issue was addressed with improved restrictions. This issue is fixed in tvOS 14.6, iOS 14.6 and iPadOS 14.6, Safari 14.1.1, macOS Big Sur 11.4, watchOS 7.5. A malicious website may be able to access restricted ports on arbitrary servers.
Microsoft SharePoint Server Spoofing Vulnerability
Microsoft Exchange Server Spoofing Vulnerability
octobercms in a CMS platform based on the Laravel PHP Framework. In affected versions of the october/system package an attacker can exploit this vulnerability to bypass authentication and takeover of and user account on an October CMS server. The vulnerability is exploitable by unauthenticated users via a specially crafted request. This only affects frontend users and the attacker must obtain a Laravel secret key for cookie encryption and signing in order to exploit this vulnerability. The issue has been patched in Build 472 and v1.1.5.
Microsoft SharePoint Server Spoofing Vulnerability
The PixelYourSite – Your smart PIXEL (TAG) & API Manager and the PixelYourSite PRO plugins for WordPress are vulnerable to Sensitive Information Exposure in all versions up to, and including, 9.7.1 and 10.4.2, respectively, through publicly exposed log files. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to view potentially sensitive information contained in the exposed log files, and to delete log files.
This vulnerability allows unauthenticated remote attackers to bypass authentication and gain partial data access to the vulnerable Trellix IPS Manager with garbage data in response mostly
Red Hat Certificate System (RHCS) 7.3 and 8 and Dogtag Certificate System do not require authentication for requests to decrypt SCEP one-time PINs, which allows remote attackers to obtain PINs by sniffing the network for SCEP requests and then sending decryption requests to the Certificate Authority component.
Parse Server is an open source backend that can be deployed to any infrastructure that can run Node.js. Developers can use the REST API to signup users and also allow users to login anonymously. Prior to version 4.5.1, when an anonymous user is first signed up using REST, the server creates session incorrectly. Particularly, the `authProvider` field in `_Session` class under `createdWith` shows the user logged in creating a password. If a developer later depends on the `createdWith` field to provide a different level of access between a password user and anonymous user, the server incorrectly classified the session type as being created with a `password`. The server does not currently use `createdWith` to make decisions about internal functions, so if a developer is not using `createdWith` directly, they are not affected. The vulnerability only affects users who depend on `createdWith` by using it directly. The issue is patched in Parse Server version 4.5.1. As a workaround, do not use the `createdWith` Session field to make decisions if one allows anonymous login.
