An issue was discovered in lldpd before 1.0.17. By crafting a CDP PDU packet with specific CDP_TLV_ADDRESSES TLVs, a malicious actor can remotely force the lldpd daemon to perform an out-of-bounds read on heap memory. This occurs in cdp_decode in daemon/protocols/cdp.c.
There is an out-of-bounds read vulnerability in the IFAA module. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may cause stack overflow.
Out-of-bounds read vulnerability in ASR Kestrel (nr_fw modules) allows Overflow Buffers. This vulnerability is associated with program files Code/Nr/nr_fw/RA/src/NrPwrCtrl.C. This issue affects Kestrel: before 2026/02/10.
A crash and out-of-bounds read can occur when the buffer of a texture client is freed while it is still in use during graphic operations. This results is a potentially exploitable crash and the possibility of reading from the memory of the freed buffers. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 65.
An issue was discovered in the Linux kernel before 6.3.8. fs/smb/server/smb2pdu.c in ksmbd has an integer underflow and out-of-bounds read in deassemble_neg_contexts.
An out-of-bounds read was addressed with improved bounds checking. This issue is fixed in iOS 15.7.8 and iPadOS 15.7.8, macOS Big Sur 11.7.9, macOS Monterey 12.6.8, macOS Ventura 13.5. An app may be able to execute arbitrary code with kernel privileges.
Undefined behavior in the DOM: Core & HTML component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 148, Firefox ESR 115.33, Firefox ESR 140.8, Thunderbird 148, and Thunderbird 140.8.
In ProtocolEmbmsGlobalCellIdAdapter::Init() of protocolembmsadapter.cpp, there is a possible out of bounds read due to a missing bounds check. This could lead to remote information disclosure with baseband firmware compromise required. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.

The HNCP parser in tcpdump before 4.9.3 has a buffer over-read in print-hncp.c:print_prefix().
There is a flaw in the xml entity encoding functionality of libxml2 in versions before 2.9.11. An attacker who is able to supply a crafted file to be processed by an application linked with the affected functionality of libxml2 could trigger an out-of-bounds read. The most likely impact of this flaw is to application availability, with some potential impact to confidentiality and integrity if an attacker is able to use memory information to further exploit the application.

Contiki-NG is an operating system for Internet of Things devices. An off-by-one error can be triggered in the Antelope database management system in the Contiki-NG operating system in versions 4.8 and prior. The problem exists in the Contiki File System (CFS) backend for the storage of data (file os/storage/antelope/storage-cfs.c). In the functions `storage_get_index` and `storage_put_index`, a buffer for merging two strings is allocated with one byte less than the maximum size of the merged strings, causing subsequent function calls to the cfs_open function to read from memory beyond the buffer size. The vulnerability has been patched in the "develop" branch of Contiki-NG, and is expected to be included in the next release. As a workaround, the problem can be fixed by applying the patch in Contiki-NG pull request #2425.
