The Zabbix Agent 2 item key smart.disk.get does not sanitize its parameters before passing them to a shell command resulting possible vulnerability for remote code execution.
A File Inclusion vulnerability exists in Zabbix 2.0.6 due to inadequate sanitization of request strings in CGI scripts, which could let a remote malicious user execute arbitrary code.
A Firewall Rule which allows all incoming TCP connections to all programs from any source and to all ports is created in Windows Firewall after Zabbix agent installation (MSI)
After the initial setup process, some steps of setup.php file are reachable not only by super-administrators, but by unauthenticated users as well. Malicious actor can pass step checks and potentially change the configuration of Zabbix Frontend.
In the case of instances where the SAML SSO authentication is enabled (non-default), session data can be modified by a malicious actor, because a user login stored in the session was not verified. Malicious unauthenticated actor may exploit this issue to escalate privileges and gain admin access to Zabbix Frontend. To perform the attack, SAML authentication is required to be enabled and the actor has to know the username of Zabbix user (or use the guest account, which is disabled by default).
The zabbix-agent2 package before 5.4.9-r1 for Alpine Linux sometimes allows privilege escalation to root because the design incorrectly expected that systemd would (in effect) determine part of the configuration.
Multiple SQL injection vulnerabilities in Zabbix 1.8.x before 1.8.18rc1, 2.0.x before 2.0.9rc1, and 2.1.x before 2.1.7.
Zabbix Server 2.2.x and 3.0.x before 3.0.31, and 3.2 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code.
Templates do not properly consider backticks (`) as Javascript string delimiters, and do not escape them as expected. Backticks are used, since ES6, for JS template literals. If a template contains a Go template action within a Javascript template literal, the contents of the action can be used to terminate the literal, injecting arbitrary Javascript code into the Go template. As ES6 template literals are rather complex, and themselves can do string interpolation, the decision was made to simply disallow Go template actions from being used inside of them (e.g., "var a = {{.}}"), since there is no obviously safe way to allow this behavior. This takes the same approach as github.com/google/safehtml. With fix, Template. Parse returns an Error when it encounters templates like this, with an ErrorCode of value 12. This ErrorCode is currently unexported but will be exported in the release of Go 1.21. Users who rely on the previous behavior can re-enable it using the GODEBUG flag jstmpllitinterp=1, with the caveat that backticks will now be escaped. This should be used with caution.
A regular Zabbix user can search other users in their user group via Zabbix API by select fields the user does not have access to view. This allows data-mining some field values the user does not have access to.
Arbitrary file read vulnerability exists in Zabbix Web Service Report Generation, which listens on the port 10053. The service does not have proper validation for URL parameters before reading the files.
A stored XSS has been found in the Zabbix web application in the Maps element if a URL field is set with spaces before URL.
Specially crafted string can cause a buffer overrun in the JSON parser library leading to a crash of the Zabbix Server or a Zabbix Proxy.
Stored or persistent cross-site scripting (XSS) is a type of XSS where the attacker first sends the payload to the web application, then the application saves the payload (e.g., in a database or server-side text files), and finally, the application unintentionally executes the payload for every victim visiting its web pages.
An attacker who has the privilege to configure Zabbix items can use function icmpping() with additional malicious command inside it to execute arbitrary code on the current Zabbix server.
Reflected XSS attacks, occur when a malicious script is reflected off a web application to the victim's browser. The script can be activated through Action form fields, which can be sent as request to a website with a vulnerability that enables execution of malicious scripts.
Currently, geomap configuration (Administration -> General -> Geographical maps) allows using HTML in the field “Attribution text” when selected “Other” Tile provider.
An authenticated Zabbix user (User role) with template/host write permissions is able to create objects via the configuration.import API. This can lead to confidentiality loss by creating unauthorized hosts. Note that the User role is normally not sufficient to create and edit templates/hosts even with write permissions.
A regular Zabbix user with no permission to the Monitoring -> Problems view is still able to call the problem.view.refresh action and therefore still retrieve a list of active problems.
The cause of vulnerability is improper validation of form input field “Name” on Graph page in Items section.
Zabbix server can perform command execution for configured scripts. After command is executed, audit entry is added to "Audit Log". Due to "clientip" field is not sanitized, it is possible to injection SQL into "clientip" and exploit time based blind SQL injection.
When a URL is added to the map element, it is recorded in the database with sequential IDs. Upon adding a new URL, the system retrieves the last sysmapelementurlid value and increments it by one. However, an issue arises when a user manually changes the sysmapelementurlid value by adding sysmapelementurlid + 1. This action prevents others from adding URLs to the map element.
URL validation scheme receives input from a user and then parses it to identify its various components. The validation scheme can ensure that all URL components comply with internet standards.
Reflected XSS attacks, also known as non-persistent attacks, occur when a malicious script is reflected off a web application to the victim's browser. The script is activated through a link, which sends a request to a website with a vulnerability that enables execution of malicious scripts.
klaussilveira GitList version <= 0.6 contains a Passing incorrectly sanitized input to system function vulnerability in `searchTree` function that can result in Execute any code as PHP user. This attack appear to be exploitable via Send POST request using search form. This vulnerability appears to have been fixed in 0.7 after commit 87b8c26b023c3fc37f0796b14bb13710f397b322.
A flaw was found in Hibernate Validator version 6.1.2.Final. A bug in the message interpolation processor enables invalid EL expressions to be evaluated as if they were valid. This flaw allows attackers to bypass input sanitation (escaping, stripping) controls that developers may have put in place when handling user-controlled data in error messages.
JSON Web Services in Liferay Portal 7.4.0 through 7.4.3.119, and Liferay DXP 2024.Q1.1 through 2024.Q1.9, 7.4 GA through update 92 published to OSGi are registered and invoked directly as classes which allows Service Access Policies get executed.

A vulnerability in the web interface of the Cisco RV132W ADSL2+ Wireless-N VPN and RV134W VDSL2 Wireless-AC VPN Routers could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to execute arbitrary code and gain full control of an affected system, including issuing commands with root privileges. The attacker could also cause an affected system to reload, resulting in a denial of service (DoS) condition. The vulnerability is due to an incomplete input validation on user-controlled input in an HTTP request to the targeted device. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted HTTP request to an affected system. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to execute arbitrary code as the root user and gain full control of the affected system or cause it to reload, resulting in a DoS condition. This vulnerability is fixed in firmware version 1.0.1.11 for the following Cisco products: RV132W ADSL2+ Wireless-N VPN Router and RV134W VDSL2 Wireless-AC VPN Router. Cisco Bug IDs: CSCvg92737, CSCvh60170.
A vulnerability in Java deserialization used by Cisco Secure Access Control System (ACS) prior to release 5.8 patch 9 could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to execute arbitrary commands on an affected device. The vulnerability is due to insecure deserialization of user-supplied content by the affected software. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted serialized Java object. An exploit could allow the attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the device with root privileges. Cisco Bug IDs: CSCvh25988.
A vulnerability in the Smart Install feature of Cisco IOS Software and Cisco IOS XE Software could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to trigger a reload of an affected device, resulting in a denial of service (DoS) condition, or to execute arbitrary code on an affected device. The vulnerability is due to improper validation of packet data. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted Smart Install message to an affected device on TCP port 4786. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause a buffer overflow on the affected device, which could have the following impacts: Triggering a reload of the device, Allowing the attacker to execute arbitrary code on the device, Causing an indefinite loop on the affected device that triggers a watchdog crash. Cisco Bug IDs: CSCvg76186.
An issue was discovered in SMA Solar Technology products. A secondary authentication system is available for Installers called the Grid Guard system. This system uses predictable codes, and a single Grid Guard code can be used on any SMA inverter. Any such code, when combined with the installer account, allows changing very sensitive parameters. NOTE: the vendor reports that Grid Guard is not an authentication feature; it is only a tracing feature. Also, only Sunny Boy TLST-21 and TL-21 and Sunny Tripower TL-10 and TL-30 could potentially be affected
The Struts 1 plugin in Apache Struts 2.1.x and 2.3.x might allow remote code execution via a malicious field value passed in a raw message to the ActionMessage.
Faulty authorization control in software WinPlus v24.11.27 by Informática del Este that allows another user to be impersonated simply by knowing their 'numerical ID', meaning that an attacker could compromise another user's account, thereby affecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the data stored in the application.
Trend Micro ServerProtect for Linux 3.0 before CP 1531 allows attackers to write to arbitrary files and consequently execute arbitrary code with root privileges by leveraging failure to validate software updates.
BMC Server Automation before 8.9.01 patch 1 allows Process Spawner command execution because of authentication bypass.
An issue was discovered in Responsive Filemanager through 9.14.0. In the ajax_calls.php file in the save_img action in the name parameter, there is no validation of what kind of extension is sent. This makes it possible to execute PHP code if a legitimate JPEG image contains this code in the EXIF data, and the .php extension is used in the name parameter. (A potential fast patch is to disable the save_img action in the config file.)

The GP Unique ID plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Unique ID Modification in all versions up to, and including, 1.5.5. This is due to insufficient input validation. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to tamper with the generation of a unique ID on a form submission and replace the generated unique ID with a user-controlled one, leading to a loss of integrity in cases where the ID's uniqueness is relied upon in a security-specific context.
NET, .NET Framework, and Visual Studio Security Feature Bypass Vulnerability
Multiple WSO2 products have been identified as vulnerable due to lack of server-side input validation in the Forum feature, API rating could be manipulated.
Increasing the resolution of video frames, while performing a multi-threaded encode, can result in a heap overflow in av1_loop_restoration_dealloc().
An unauthenticated arbitrary file upload vulnerability exists in Tiki Wiki CMS Groupware version 15.1 and earlier via the ELFinder component's default connector (connector.minimal.php), which allows remote attackers to upload and execute malicious PHP scripts in the context of the web server. The vulnerable component does not enforce file type validation, allowing attackers to craft a POST request to upload executable PHP payloads through the ELFinder interface exposed at /vendor_extra/elfinder/.
Ansible before versions 2.3.1.0 and 2.4.0.0 fails to properly mark lookup-plugin results as unsafe. If an attacker could control the results of lookup() calls, they could inject Unicode strings to be parsed by the jinja2 templating system, resulting in code execution. By default, the jinja2 templating language is now marked as 'unsafe' and is not evaluated.
The Reales WP STPT plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized user registration in all versions up to, and including, 2.1.2. This is due to the 'reales_user_signup_form' AJAX action not verifying if user registration is enabled, prior to registering a user. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to create new user accounts, which can be leveraged with CVE-XX to achieve privilege escalation.
