This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to delete arbitrary files on the server, which can easily lead to remote code execution when the right file is deleted (such as wp-config.php).
MeterSphere is a one-stop open source continuous testing platform, covering test management, interface testing, UI testing and performance testing. Versions prior to 2.5.1 allow users to upload a file, but do not validate the file name, which may lead to upload file to any path. The vulnerability has been fixed in v2.5.1. There are no workarounds.
Dremio before 24.3.1 allows path traversal. An authenticated user who has no privileges on certain folders (and the files and datasets in these folders) can access these folders, files, and datasets. To be successful, the user must have access to the source and at least one folder in the source. Affected versions are: 24.0.0 through 24.3.0, 23.0.0 through 23.2.3, and 22.0.0 through 22.2.2. Fixed versions are: 24.3.1 and later, 23.2.4 and later, and 22.2.3 and later.
A vulnerability has been identified in SINEC INS (All versions < V1.0 SP2 Update 1). An authenticated remote attacker with access to the Web Based Management (443/tcp) of the affected product as well as with access to the SFTP server of the affected product (22/tcp), could potentially read and write arbitrary files from and to the device's file system. An attacker might leverage this to trigger remote code execution on the affected component.

This may lead to full control of the service.
Node.js depends on multiple built-in utility functions to normalize paths provided to node:fs functions, which can be overwitten with user-defined implementations leading to filesystem permission model bypass through path traversal attack. This vulnerability affects all users using the experimental permission model in Node.js 20 and Node.js 21. Please note that at the time this CVE was issued, the permission model is an experimental feature of Node.js.

Authenticated mail users, under specific circumstances, could add files with unsanitized content in public folders where the IIS user had permission to access. That action, could lead an attacker to store arbitrary code on that files and execute RCE commands.
A vulnerability in Cisco Emergency Responder could allow an authenticated, remote attacker to conduct a directory traversal attack, which could allow the attacker to perform arbitrary actions on an affected device. This vulnerability is due to insufficient protections for the web UI of an affected system. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending crafted requests to the web UI. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to perform arbitrary actions with the privilege level of the affected user, such as accessing password or log files or uploading and deleting existing files from the system.
The HT Mega – Absolute Addons For Elementor plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Directory Traversal in all versions up to, and including, 2.4.6 via the render function. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor access or higher, to read the contents of arbitrary files on the server, which can contain sensitive information.
A vulnerability in the archive utility of Cisco Data Center Network Manager (DCNM) could allow an authenticated, remote attacker to conduct directory traversal attacks on an affected device. The vulnerability is due to a lack of proper input validation of paths that are embedded within archive files. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted request to an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to write arbitrary files in the system with the privileges of the logged-in user.
Zope is an open-source web application server. In Zope versions prior to 4.6 and 5.2, users can access untrusted modules indirectly through Python modules that are available for direct use. By default, only users with the Manager role can add or edit Zope Page Templates through the web, but sites that allow untrusted users to add/edit Zope Page Templates through the web are at risk from this vulnerability. The problem has been fixed in Zope 5.2 and 4.6. As a workaround, a site administrator can restrict adding/editing Zope Page Templates through the web using the standard Zope user/role permission mechanisms. Untrusted users should not be assigned the Zope Manager role and adding/editing Zope Page Templates through the web should be restricted to trusted users only.

This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to delete arbitrary files on the server, which can easily lead to remote code execution when the right file is deleted (such as wp-config.php).
setuptools is a package that allows users to download, build, install, upgrade, and uninstall Python packages. A path traversal vulnerability in `PackageIndex` is present in setuptools prior to version 78.1.1. An attacker would be allowed to write files to arbitrary locations on the filesystem with the permissions of the process running the Python code, which could escalate to remote code execution depending on the context. Version 78.1.1 fixes the issue.
The Elementor Addon Elements plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Directory Traversal in all versions up to, and including, 1.12.12 via the render function. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor access or higher, to include the contents of arbitrary PHP files on the server, which may expose sensitive information.

A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in eNMS up to 4.2. Affected by this issue is the function multiselect_filtering of the file eNMS/controller.py of the component TGZ File Handler. The manipulation leads to path traversal. The attack may be launched remotely. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. The patch is identified as 22b0b443acca740fc83b5544165c1f53eff3f529. It is recommended to apply a patch to fix this issue.

A low privileged attacker could leverage this vulnerability to read local files and to perform Stored XSS. Exploitation of this issue does not require user interaction.
Dell Container Storage Modules 1.2 contains a path traversal vulnerability in goiscsi and gobrick libraries. A remote authenticated malicious user with low privileges could exploit this vulnerability leading to unintentional access to path outside of restricted directory.
WordPress through 4.9.6 allows Author users to execute arbitrary code by leveraging directory traversal in the wp-admin/post.php thumb parameter, which is passed to the PHP unlink function and can delete the wp-config.php file. This is related to missing filename validation in the wp-includes/post.php wp_delete_attachment function. The attacker must have capabilities for files and posts that are normally available only to the Author, Editor, and Administrator roles. The attack methodology is to delete wp-config.php and then launch a new installation process to increase the attacker's privileges.
PrinterLogic Windows Client through 25.0.0.676 allows attackers to execute directory traversal. Authenticated users with prior knowledge of the driver filename could exploit this to escalate privileges or distribute malicious content. This issue has been resolved in PrinterLogic Windows Client 25.0.0688 and all affected are advised to upgrade.

The WPGYM - Wordpress Gym Management System plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Local File Inclusion in all versions up to, and including, 67.7.0 via the 'page' parameter. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to include and execute arbitrary files on the server, allowing the execution of any PHP code in those files. This can be used to bypass access controls, obtain sensitive data, or achieve code execution in cases where images and other “safe” file types can be uploaded and included. The Local File Inclusion exploit can be chained to include various dashboard view files in the plugin. One in particular reported by the researcher can be leveraged to update the password of Super Administrator accounts in Multisite environments making privilege escalation possible.
