OpenEMR is a free and open source electronic health records and medical practice management application. Prior to 8.0.0.1, stored cross-site scripting (XSS) in the Graphical Pain Map ("clickmap") form allows any authenticated clinician to inject arbitrary JavaScript that executes in the browser of every subsequent user who views the affected encounter form. Because session cookies are not marked HttpOnly, this enables full session hijacking of other users, including administrators. This vulnerability is fixed in 8.0.0.1.
In Gogs, versions v0.6.5 through v0.12.10 are vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) that leads to an account takeover.
Appsmith is a platform to build admin panels, internal tools, and dashboards. Prior to 1.96, a Critical Stored XSS vulnerability exists in the Table Widget (TableWidgetV2). The root cause is a lack of HTML sanitization in the React component rendering pipeline, allowing malicious attributes to be interpolated into the DOM. By leveraging the "Invite Users" feature, an attacker with a regular user account (user@gmail.com) can force a System Administrator to execute a high-privileged API call (/api/v1/admin/env), resulting in a Full Administrative Account Takeover. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.96.
In Real Player 20.0.8.310, there is a DCP:// URI Remote Arbitrary Code Execution Vulnerability. This is an internal URL Protocol used by Real Player to reference a file that contains an URL. It is possible to inject script code to arbitrary domains. It is also possible to reference arbitrary local files.
GitLab has remediated an issue in GitLab CE/EE affecting all versions from 18.6 before 18.6.3, and 18.7 before 18.7.1 that could have allowed an unauthenticated user to execute arbitrary code in the context of an authenticated user's browser by convincing the legitimate user to visit a specially crafted webpage.
Cross-site Scripting (XSS) in some Intel(R) Manageability Commander software before version 2.3 may allow an unauthenticated user to potentially enable escalation of privilege via network access.
SiYuan is a personal knowledge management system. Prior to 3.6.4, a malicious note synced to another user can trigger remote code execution in the SiYuan Electron desktop client. The root cause is that table caption content is stored without safe escaping and later unescaped into rendered HTML, creating a stored XSS sink. Because the desktop renderer runs with nodeIntegration enabled and contextIsolation disabled, attacker-controlled JavaScript executes with access to Node.js APIs. In practice, an attacker can import a crafted note into a synced workspace, wait for the victim to sync, and achieve code execution when the victim opens the note. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.6.4.
Wire is a secure messaging application. Wire is vulnerable to arbitrary HTML and Javascript execution via insufficient escaping when rendering `@mentions` in the wire-webapp. If a user receives and views a malicious message, arbitrary code is injected and executed in the context of the victim allowing the attacker to fully control the user account. Wire-desktop clients that are connected to a vulnerable wire-webapp version are also vulnerable to this attack. The issue has been fixed in wire-webapp 2022-05-04-production.0 and is already deployed on all Wire managed services. On-premise instances of wire-webapp need to be updated to docker tag 2022-05-04-production.0-v0.29.7-0-a6f2ded or wire-server 2022-05-04 (chart/4.11.0) or later. No known workarounds exist.
Dell SupportAssist Client Consumer versions (3.10.4 and prior) and Dell SupportAssist Client Commercial versions (3.1.1 and prior) contain a cross-site scripting vulnerability. A remote unauthenticated malicious user could potentially exploit this vulnerability under specific conditions leading to execution of malicious code on a vulnerable system.
Apifox through 2.1.6 is vulnerable to Cross Site Scripting (XSS) which can lead to remote code execution.
A cross-site scripting (xss) vulnerability exists in the videoAddNew functionality of WWBN AVideo 11.6 and dev master commit 3f7c0364. A specially-crafted HTTP request can lead to arbitrary Javascript execution. An attacker can get an authenticated user to send a crafted HTTP request to trigger this vulnerability.
RustFS is a distributed object storage system built in Rust. Prior to version 1.0.0-alpha.83, a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the RustFS Console allows an attacker to execute arbitrary JavaScript in the context of the management console. By bypassing the PDF preview logic, an attacker can steal administrator credentials from `localStorage`, leading to full account takeover and system compromise. Version 1.0.0-alpha.83 fixes the issue.
Turtlapp Turtle Note v0.7.2.6 does not filter the <meta> tag during markdown parsing, allowing attackers to execute HTML injection.
A reflected cross-site scripting (xss) vulnerability exists in the charts tab selection functionality of WWBN AVideo 11.6 and dev master commit 3f7c0364. A specially-crafted HTTP request can lead to arbitrary Javascript execution. An attacker can get an authenticated user to send a crafted HTTP request to trigger this vulnerability.
An improper neutralization of input vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allows DOM-based cross-site scripting via Issues search label filter that could lead to privilege escalation and unauthorized workflow triggers. Successful exploitation requires an attacker to have access to the target GitHub Enterprise Server instance and to entice a user, while operating in sudo mode, to click on a crafted malicious link to perform actions that require elevated privileges. This vulnerability affected all versions of GitHub Enterprise Server prior to 3.18.1, 3.17.7, 3.16.10, 3.15.14, 3.14.19.
Storybook is a frontend workshop for building user interface components and pages in isolation. Prior to versions 7.6.23, 8.6.17, 9.1.19, and 10.2.10, the WebSocket functionality in Storybook's dev server, used to create and update stories, is vulnerable to WebSocket hijacking. This vulnerability only affects the Storybook dev server; production builds are not impacted. Exploitation requires a developer to visit a malicious website while their local Storybook dev server is running. Because the WebSocket connection does not validate the origin of incoming connections, a malicious site can silently send WebSocket messages to the local instance without any further user interaction. If the Storybook dev server is intentionally exposed publicly (e.g. for design reviews or stakeholder demos) the risk is higher, as no malicious site visit is required. Any unauthenticated attacker can send WebSocket messages to it directly. The vulnerability affects the WebSocket message handlers for creating and saving stories. Both are vulnerable to injection via unsanitized input in the componentFilePath field, which can be exploited to achieve persistent XSS or Remote Code Execution (RCE). Versions 7.6.23, 8.6.17, 9.1.19, and 10.2.10 contain a fix for the issue.
Improper Neutralization of Script-Related HTML Tags in a Web Page (Basic XSS) vulnerability in Group Functionality of Profelis IT Consultancy SambaBox allows AUTHENTICATED user to cause execute arbitrary codes on the vulnerable server. This issue affects: Profelis IT Consultancy SambaBox 4.0 version 4.0 and prior versions on x86.
wire-webapp is the web application interface for the wire messaging service. Insufficient escaping in markdown “code highlighting” in the wire-webapp resulted in the possibility of injecting and executing arbitrary HTML code and thus also JavaScript. If a user receives and views such a malicious message, arbitrary code is injected and executed in the context of the victim. This allows the attacker to fully control the user account. Wire-desktop clients that are connected to a vulnerable wire-webapp version are also vulnerable to this attack. The issue has been fixed in wire-webapp 2022-03-30-production.0 and is already deployed on all Wire managed services. On-premise instances of wire-webapp need to be updated to docker tag 2022-03-30-production.0-v0.29.2-0-d144552 or wire-server 2022-03-30 (chart/4.8.0), so that their applications are no longer affected. There are no known workarounds for this issue. ### Patches * The issue has been fixed in wire-webapp **2022-03-30-production.0** and is already deployed on all Wire managed services. * On-premise instances of wire-webapp need to be updated to docker tag **2022-03-30-production.0-v0.29.2-0-d144552** or wire-server **2022-03-30 (chart/4.8.0)**, so that their applications are no longer affected. ### Workarounds * No workarounds known ### For more information If you have any questions or comments about this advisory feel free to email us at [vulnerability-report@wire.com](mailto:vulnerability-report@wire.com) ### Credits We thank [Posix](https://twitter.com/po6ix) for reporting this vulnerability
Mark Text v0.16.3 was discovered to contain a DOM-based cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability which allows attackers to perform remote code execution (RCE) via injecting a crafted payload into /lib/contentState/pasteCtrl.js.
Cosmetics and Beauty Product Online Store v1.0 was discovered to contain multiple reflected cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks via the search parameter under the /cbpos/ app.
MarkText through 0.16.3 does not sanitize the input of a mermaid block before rendering. This could lead to Remote Code Execution via a .md file containing a mutation Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) payload.
CI4MS is a CodeIgniter 4-based CMS skeleton that delivers a production-ready, modular architecture with RBAC authorization and theme support. Prior to version 0.31.0.0, the application fails to properly sanitize user-controlled input when creating or editing blog posts. An attacker can inject a malicious JavaScript payload into blog post content, which is then stored server-side. This stored payload is later rendered unsafely in multiple application views without proper output encoding, leading to stored cross-site scripting (XSS). This issue has been patched in version 0.31.0.0.
Stored XSS in Ivanti Endpoint Manager prior to version 2024 SU4 SR1 allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to execute arbitrary JavaScript in the context of an administrator session. User interaction is required.
CI4MS is a CodeIgniter 4-based CMS skeleton that delivers a production-ready, modular architecture with RBAC authorization and theme support. Prior to version 0.31.0.0, the application fails to properly sanitize user-controlled input when creating or editing blog tags. An attacker can inject a malicious JavaScript payload into the tag name field, which is then stored server-side. This stored payload is later rendered unsafely across public tag pages and administrative interfaces without proper output encoding, leading to stored cross-site scripting (XSS). This issue has been patched in version 0.31.0.0.
AnythingLLM is an application that turns pieces of content into context that any LLM can use as references during chatting. In 1.11.1 and earlier, AnythingLLM Desktop contains a Streaming Phase XSS vulnerability in the chat rendering pipeline that escalates to Remote Code Execution on the host OS due to insecure Electron configuration. This works with default settings and requires no user interaction beyond normal chat usage. The custom markdown-it image renderer in frontend/src/utils/chat/markdown.js interpolates token.content directly into the alt attribute without HTML entity escaping. The PromptReply component renders this output via dangerouslySetInnerHTML without DOMPurify sanitization — unlike HistoricalMessage which correctly applies DOMPurify.sanitize().
XWiki Platform is a generic wiki platform. Starting in 2.3 and prior to versions 14.10.15, 15.5.2, and 15.7-rc-1, there is a reflected XSS or also direct remote code execution vulnerability in the code for displaying configurable admin sections. The code that can be passed through a URL parameter is only executed when the user who is visiting the crafted URL has edit right on at least one configuration section. While any user of the wiki could easily create such a section, this vulnerability doesn't require the attacker to have an account or any access on the wiki. It is sufficient to trick any admin user of the XWiki installation to visit the crafted URL. This vulnerability allows full remote code execution with programming rights and thus impacts the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the whole XWiki installation. This has been fixed in XWiki 14.10.15, 15.5.2 and 15.7RC1. The patch can be manually applied to the document `XWiki.ConfigurableClass`.
Cross-site scripting vulnerability in CSV+ prior to 0.8.1 allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to inject an arbitrary script or an arbitrary OS command via a specially crafted CSV file that contains HTML a tag.
In Teedy, versions v1.5 through v1.9 are vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS). The “search term" search functionality is not sufficiently sanitized while displaying the results of the search, which can be leveraged to inject arbitrary scripts. These scripts are executed in a victim’s browser when they enter the crafted URL. In the worst case, the victim who inadvertently triggers the attack is a highly privileged administrator. The injected scripts can extract the Session ID, which can lead to full Account Takeover of the administrator, by an unauthenticated attacker.
A deep link validation issue in KakaoTalk 10.4.3 allowed a remote adversary to direct users to run any attacker-controlled JavaScript within a WebView. The impact was further escalated by triggering another WebView that leaked its access token in a HTTP request header. Ultimately, this access token could be used to take over another user's account and read her/his chat messages.
Stud.IP 5.x through 5.3.3 allows XSS with resultant upload of executable files, because upload_action and edit_action in Admin_SmileysController do not check the file extension. This leads to remote code execution with the privileges of the www-data user. The fixed versions are 5.3.4, 5.2.6, 5.1.7, and 5.0.9.
Arbitrary Code Execution through Sanitizer Bypass in GitHub repository jgraph/drawio prior to 18.0.0. - Arbitrary (remote) code execution in the desktop app. - Stored XSS in the web app.
Multiple Stored XSS in GitHub repository causefx/organizr prior to 2.1.1810. This allows attackers to execute malicious scripts in the user's browser and it can lead to session hijacking, sensitive data exposure, and worse.
Stored XSS due to no sanitization in the filename in GitHub repository causefx/organizr prior to 2.1.1810. This allows attackers to execute malicious scripts in the user's browser and it can lead to session hijacking, sensitive data exposure, and worse.
Centreon sysName Cross-Site Scripting Remote Code Execution Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of Centreon. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability. The specific flaw exists within the processing of the sysName OID in SNMP. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data, which can lead to the injection of an arbitrary script. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the service account. Was ZDI-CAN-20731.
An HTML injection vulnerability in Vaultwarden prior to v1.32.5 allows attackers to execute arbitrary code via injecting a crafted payload into the username field of an e-mail message.
A cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the Events/Agenda module of Dolibarr v21.0.0-beta allows attackers to execute arbitrary web scripts or HTMl via a crafted payload injected into the Title parameter.
A cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the Product module of Dolibarr v21.0.0-beta allows attackers to execute arbitrary web scripts or HTMl via a crafted payload injected into the Title parameter.
Mautic before 3.2.4 is affected by stored XSS. An attacker with access to Social Monitoring, an application feature, could attack other users, including administrators. For example, an attacker could load an externally drafted JavaScript file that would allow them to eventually perform actions on the target user’s behalf, including changing the user’s password or email address or changing the attacker’s user role from a low-privileged user to an administrator account.
Combodo iTop is an open source and web-based IT service management platform. Prior to versions 2.7.11, 3.1.2, and 3.2.0., iTop has a cross-site scripting vulnerability that can lead to cross-site request forgery on the `_table_id` parameter. Versions 2.7.11, 3.1.2, and 3.2.0 contain a patch for the issue.
XWiki Commons are technical libraries common to several other top level XWiki projects. There was no check in the author of a JavaScript xobject or StyleSheet xobject added in a XWiki document, so until now it was possible for a user having only Edit Right to create such object and to craft a script allowing to perform some operations when executing by a user with appropriate rights. This has been patched in XWiki 14.9-rc-1 by only executing the script if the author of it has Script rights.
Discourse AI is a Discourse plugin which provides a number of AI features. When sharing Discourse AI Bot conversations into posts, if the conversation had HTML entities those could leak into the Discourse application when a user visited a post with a onebox to said conversation. This issue has been addressed in commit `92f122c`. Users are advised to update. Users unable to update may remove all groups from `ai bot public sharing allowed groups` site setting.
A vulnerability affecting F-Secure SAFE browser protection was discovered improper URL handling can be triggered to cause universal cross-site scripting through browsing protection in a SAFE web browser. User interaction is required prior to exploitation. A successful exploitation may lead to arbitrary code execution.
Mautic before 3.2.4 is affected by stored XSS. An attacker with permission to manage companies, an application feature, could attack other users, including administrators. For example, by loading an externally crafted JavaScript file, an attacker could eventually perform actions as the target user. These actions include changing the user passwords, altering user or email addresses, or adding a new administrator to the system.
ASUS RT-A88U 3.0.0.4.386_45898 is vulnerable to Cross Site Scripting (XSS). The ASUS router admin panel does not sanitize the WiFI logs correctly, if an attacker was able to change the SSID of the router with a custom payload, they could achieve stored XSS on the device.
macro-pdfviewer is a PDF Viewer Macro for XWiki using Mozilla pdf.js. The width parameter of the PDF viewer macro isn't properly escaped, allowing XSS for any user who can edit a page. XSS can impact the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the whole XWiki installation when an admin visits the page with the malicious code. This is fixed in 2.5.6.
A cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the assets component of Mautic before 3.2.4 allows remote attackers to inject executable JavaScript through the Referer header of asset downloads.
The Interior Server and Gateway Server components of TIBCO Software Inc.'s TIBCO PartnerExpress contain easily exploitable Stored and Reflected Cross Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities that allow a low privileged attacker to social engineer a legitimate user with network access to execute scripts targeting the affected system or the victim's local system. A successful attack using this vulnerability requires human interaction from a person other than the attacker. Affected releases are TIBCO Software Inc.'s TIBCO PartnerExpress: versions 6.2.1 and below.
A Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) and Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability exists when Power BI Report Server Template file (pbix) containing HTML files is uploaded to the server and HTML files are accessed directly by the victim. Combining these 2 vulnerabilities together, an attacker is able to upload malicious Power BI templates files to the server using the victim's session and run scripts in the security context of the user and perform privilege escalation in case the victim has admin privileges when the victim access one of the HTML files present in the malicious Power BI template uploaded. The security update addresses the vulnerability by helping to ensure that Power BI Report Server properly sanitize file uploads.
pimcore is vulnerable to Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting')
A cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the forms component of Mautic before 3.2.4 allows remote attackers to inject executable JavaScript via mautic[return] (a different attack method than CVE-2020-35124, but also related to the Referer concept).
