Mod_proxy_cluster: mod_proxy_cluster unauthorized mcmp requests

A vulnerability was found in mod_proxy_cluster. The issue is that the <Directory> directive should be replaced by the <Location> directive as the former does not restrict IP/host access as `Require ip IP_ADDRESS` would suggest. This means that anyone with access to the host might send MCMP requests that may result in adding/removing/updating nodes for the balancing. However, this host should not be accessible to the public network as it does not serve the general traffic.

Kubevirt: kubevirt: unauthorized subresource access due to improper rbac evaluation

A flaw was found in KubeVirt's Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) evaluation logic. The authorization mechanism improperly truncates subresource names, leading to incorrect permission evaluations. This allows authenticated users with specific custom roles to gain unauthorized access to subresources, potentially disclosing sensitive information or performing actions they are not permitted to do. Additionally, legitimate users may be denied access to resources.

Org.keycloak/keycloak-services: keycloak: org.keycloak.protocol.oidc: security flaw in org.keycloak/keycloak-services

A flaw was found in Keycloak. When both realm-level and client-level `notBefore` revocation policies are configured, Keycloak's OpenID Connect (OIDC) Introspection feature fails to properly honor the realm-level policy. This allows tokens that should have been revoked to remain active, potentially leading to unauthorized access or continued session validity. This could impact the security of systems utilizing Keycloak for identity and access management.

Org.keycloak.keycloak-services: improper access control on keycloak server when the account account api feature is disabled

When Keycloak is started with `--features-disabled=account,account-api`, the Account REST API is only partially disabled. Five endpoints under the versioned path `/account/v1alpha1` remain fully functional — including both read and write operations — because they lack the `checkAccountApiEnabled()` gate that correctly blocks four other endpoints in the same REST service class. The user needs to have permissions to use the API.

Quay: red hat quay: authentication bypass allows privileged actions without valid credentials

A flaw was found in Red Hat Quay. When Red Hat Quay requests password re-verification for sensitive operations, such as token generation or robot account creation, the re-authentication prompt can be bypassed. This allows a user with a timed-out session, or an attacker with access to an idle authenticated browser session, to perform privileged actions without providing valid credentials. The vulnerability enables unauthorized execution of sensitive operations despite the user interface displaying an error for invalid credentials.

Keycloak: incorrect ownership checks in /uma-policy/

A flaw was found in Keycloak. A significant Broken Access Control vulnerability exists in the UserManagedPermissionService (UMA Protection API). When updating or deleting a UMA policy associated with multiple resources, the authorization check only verifies the caller's ownership against the first resource in the policy's list. This allows a user (Owner A) who owns one resource (RA) to update a shared policy and modify authorization rules for other resources (e.g., RB) in that same policy, even if those other resources are owned by a different user (Owner B). This constitutes a horizontal privilege escalation.

Keycloak-services: improper authorization in keycloak organization mapper allows unauthorized organization claims

A flaw was found in the Keycloak organization feature, which allows the incorrect assignment of an organization to a user if their username or email matches the organization’s domain pattern. This issue occurs at the mapper level, leading to misrepresentation in tokens. If an application relies on these claims for authorization, it may incorrectly assume a user belongs to an organization they are not a member of, potentially granting unauthorized access or privileges.

Keycloak: org.keycloak:keycloak-services: user can refresh offline session even after client's offline_access scope was removed

A flaw was found in Keycloak. An offline session continues to be valid when the offline_access scope is removed from the client. Keycloak-server: too long and not settings compliant session

A flaw was found in Keycloak. Keycloak does not immediately enforce the disabling of the "Remember Me" realm setting on existing user sessions. Sessions created while "Remember Me" was active retain their extended session lifetime until they expire, overriding the administrator's recent security configuration change. This is a logic flaw in session management increases the potential window for successful session hijacking or unauthorized long-term access persistence. The flaw lies in the session expiration logic relying on the session-local "remember-me" flag without validating the current realm-level configuration.

All Samba versions 4.x.x before 4.9.17, 4.10.x before 4.10.11 and 4.11.x before 4.11.3 have an issue, where the S4U (MS-SFU) Kerberos delegation model includes a feature allowing for a subset of clients to be opted out of constrained delegation in any way, either S4U2Self or regular Kerberos authentication, by forcing all tickets for these clients to be non-forwardable. In AD this is implemented by a user attribute delegation_not_allowed (aka not-delegated), which translates to disallow-forwardable. However the Samba AD DC does not do that for S4U2Self and does set the forwardable flag even if the impersonated client has the not-delegated flag set.

Keycloak-rhel9: organization data leak after feature disabled in keycloak

A flaw was found in Keycloak. An authenticated user with existing organization membership can exploit this flaw by accessing user-facing APIs, such as the account API or by requesting an OpenID Connect (OIDC) token with the 'organization' scope. This allows organization metadata to be disclosed in tokens, even after an administrator has explicitly disabled the Organizations feature, potentially leading to incorrect authorization decisions by resource servers.

Org.keycloak/keycloak-services: improper enforcement of disabled identity provider in identitybrokerservice (authentication bypass)

A security flaw in the IdentityBrokerService.performLogin endpoint of Keycloak allows authentication to proceed using an Identity Provider (IdP) even after it has been disabled by an administrator. A flaw was found in Gateway. Sending a non-base64 'basic' auth with special characters can cause APICast to incorrectly authenticate a request. A malformed basic authentication header containing special characters bypasses authentication and allows unauthorized access to the backend. Subscription-manager: inadequate authorization of com.redhat.rhsm1 d-bus interface allows local users to modify configuration

A vulnerability was found in subscription-manager that allows local privilege escalation due to inadequate authorization. The D-Bus interface com.redhat.RHSM1 exposes a significant number of methods to all users that could change the state of the registration. By using the com.redhat.RHSM1.Config.SetAll() method, a low-privileged local user could tamper with the state of the registration, by unregistering the system or by changing the current entitlements. This flaw allows an attacker to set arbitrary configuration directives for /etc/rhsm/rhsm.conf, which can be abused to cause a local privilege escalation to an unconfined root.

Pam-config: lpe from unprivileged to allow_active in pam

A Local Privilege Escalation (LPE) vulnerability has been discovered in pam-config within Linux Pluggable Authentication Modules (PAM). This flaw allows an unprivileged local attacker (for example, a user logged in via SSH) to obtain the elevated privileges normally reserved for a physically present, "allow_active" user. The highest risk is that the attacker can then perform all allow_active yes Polkit actions, which are typically restricted to console users, potentially gaining unauthorized control over system configurations, services, or other sensitive operations.

Freeipa: delegation rules allow a proxy service to impersonate any user to access another target service

A vulnerability was found in FreeIPA in how the initial implementation of MS-SFU by MIT Kerberos was missing a condition for granting the "forwardable" flag on S4U2Self tickets. Fixing this mistake required adding a special case for the check_allowed_to_delegate() function: If the target service argument is NULL, then it means the KDC is probing for general constrained delegation rules and not checking a specific S4U2Proxy request. In FreeIPA 4.11.0, the behavior of ipadb_match_acl() was modified to match the changes from upstream MIT Kerberos 1.20. However, a mistake resulting in this mechanism applies in cases where the target service argument is set AND where it is unset. This results in S4U2Proxy requests being accepted regardless of whether or not there is a matching service delegation rule.

Omni Wireguard SideroLink potential escape

Omni manages Kubernetes on bare metal, virtual machines, or in a cloud. Prior to version 0.48.0, Omni Wireguard SideroLink has the potential to escape. Omni and each Talos machine establish a peer-to-peer (P2P) SideroLink connection using WireGuard to mutually authenticate and authorize access. The WireGuard interface on Omni is configured to ensure that the source IP address of an incoming packet matches the IPv6 address assigned to the Talos peer. However, it performs no validation on the packet's destination address. The Talos end of the SideroLink connection cannot be considered a trusted environment. Workloads running on Kubernetes, especially those configured with host networking, could gain direct access to this link. Therefore, a malicious workload could theoretically send arbitrary packets over the SideroLink interface. This issue has been patched in version 0.48.0.

An issue was discovered in the AbuseFilter extension for MediaWiki through 1.35.2. It incorrectly executed certain rules related to blocking accounts after account creation. Such rules would allow for user accounts to be created while blocking only the IP address used to create an account (and not the user account itself). Such rules could also be used by a nefarious, unprivileged user to catalog and enumerate any number of IP addresses related to these account creations.

Apache Superset: Improper authorization validation on dashboards and charts import

A low privilege authenticated user could import an existing dashboard or chart that they do not have access to and then modify its metadata, thereby gaining ownership of the object. However, it's important to note that access to the analytical data of these charts and dashboards would still be subject to validation based on data access privileges. This issue affects Apache Superset: before 3.0.4, from 3.1.0 before 3.1.1.Users are recommended to upgrade to version 3.1.1, which fixes the issue.

Budibase: Row Action Trigger Bypasses View Row Filter Security Boundary Allowing Action on Out-of-Scope Rows

Budibase is an open-source low-code platform. Prior to 3.38.1, the row action trigger endpoint (POST /api/tables/:sourceId/actions/:actionId/trigger) fails to validate that the user-supplied rowId is within the scope of the view's row filters. A user with access to a filtered view can trigger row actions on any row in the underlying table, including rows explicitly excluded by the view's security filters. Open WebUI: Deactivated Channel Members Retain Full Access to Group/DM Channels

Open WebUI is a self-hosted artificial intelligence platform designed to operate entirely offline. Prior to 0.9.0, the is_user_channel_member function checks whether a ChannelMember row exists but does not check the is_active field. When a user is deactivated from a group or DM channel (removed by the channel owner, or leaves voluntarily), their membership row persists with is_active=False and status='left'. Because the authorization check ignores this field, the deactivated user retains full read and write access to the channel via direct API calls. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.9.0.

Istio AuthorizationPolicy Incorrect Regex Matching of Dots in serviceAccounts Fields Allows Policy Bypass

Istio is an open platform to connect, manage, and secure microservices. In versions 1.25.0 through 1.27.8, 1.28.0 through 1.28.5, 1.29.0, and 1.29.1, the serviceAccounts and notServiceAccounts fields in AuthorizationPolicy incorrectly interpret dots (.) as a regular expression matcher. Because . is a valid character in a service account name, an AuthorizationPolicy ALLOW rule targeting a service account such as cert-manager.io also matches cert-manager-io, cert-managerXio, etc. A DENY rule targeting the same name fails to block those variants. Fixes are available in versions 1.29.2, 1.28.6, and 1.27.9.
