Memory Allocation with Excessive Size Value, Allocation of Resources Without Limits or Throttling, Missing Authentication for Critical Function vulnerability in Apache IoTDB. When pipe_air_gap_receiver_enabled=true, the IoTDB AirGap pipe receiver accepts raw TCP connections on port 9780 with no authentication. The readLength method reads an attacker-controlled 32-bit integer from the socket and readData passes it directly to new byte[length] with no upper-bound check. An unauthenticated attacker can cause the JVM to attempt an allocation of up to 2,147,483,647 bytes per connection, exhausting heap memory and crashing or severely degrading the DataNode process. This issue affects Apache IoTDB: from 1.0.0 before 2.0.10. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 2.0.10, which fixes the issue.
WWBN AVideo is an open source video platform. In versions 26.0 and prior, the AVideo on_publish_done.php endpoint in the Live plugin allows unauthenticated users to terminate any active live stream. The endpoint processes RTMP callback events to mark streams as finished in the database, but performs no authentication or authorization checks before doing so. An attacker can enumerate active stream keys from the unauthenticated stats.json.php endpoint, then send crafted POST requests to on_publish_done.php to terminate any live broadcast. This enables denial-of-service against all live streaming functionality on the platform. At time of publication, there are no publicly available patches.
An unauthenticated remote attacker can access a URL which causes the device to reboot.
Quest KACE Systems Management Appliance (SMA) 13.0.x before 13.0.385, 13.1.x before 13.1.81, 13.2.x before 13.2.183, 14.0.x before 14.0.341 (Patch 5), and 14.1.x before 14.1.101 (Patch 4) allows unauthenticated users to replace system licenses through a web interface intended for license renewal. Attackers can exploit this to replace valid licenses with expired or trial licenses, causing denial of service.
Western Digital WD My Book Live (2.x and later) and WD My Book Live Duo (all versions) have an administrator API that can perform a system factory restore without authentication, as exploited in the wild in June 2021, a different vulnerability than CVE-2018-18472.
The endpoint hosts a script that allows an unauthorized remote attacker to put the system in a fail-safe state over the network due to missing authentication.
A vulnerability allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to modify the prod uct’s IP address over the Sopas ET interface. This can lead to a Denial of Service attack.
Missing authentication for critical function exists in SkyBridge MB-A100/110 firmware Ver. 4.2.0 and earlier, which may allow a remote unauthenticated attacker to execute some critical functions without authentication, e.g., rebooting the product.
LS ELECTRIC XBC-DN32U with operating system version 01.80 is missing authentication to perform critical functions to the PLC. This could allow an attacker to change the PLC's mode arbitrarily.
One of the usage insights HTTP API endpoints in Grafana Enterprise 6.x before 6.7.6, 7.x before 7.3.10, and 7.4.x before 7.4.5 is accessible without any authentication. This allows any unauthenticated user to send an unlimited number of requests to the endpoint, leading to a denial of service (DoS) attack against a Grafana Enterprise instance.
An issue in the component tpi_systool_handle(0) (/goform/SysToolReboot) of Tenda W6-S v1.0.0.4(510) allows unauthenticated attackers to arbitrarily reboot the device.
In D-link DIR-816 A2_v1.10CNB04.img,the network can be reset without authentication via /goform/setMAC.
In Fibaro Home Center 2 and Lite devices with firmware version 4.600 and older an internal management service is accessible on port 8000 and some API endpoints could be accessed without authentication to trigger a shutdown, a reboot or a reboot into recovery mode.
A denial of service vulnerability exists in the Modbus TCP functionality of Socomec DIRIS Digiware M-70 1.6.9. A specially crafted network packet can lead to denial of service. An attacker can send an unauthenticated packet to trigger this vulnerability.
SiYuan is a personal knowledge management system. Prior to version 3.6.2, the SiYuan kernel WebSocket server accepts unauthenticated connections when a specific "auth keepalive" query parameter is present. After connection, incoming messages are parsed using unchecked type assertions on attacker-controlled JSON. A remote attacker can send malformed messages that trigger a runtime panic, potentially crashing the kernel process and causing denial of service. Version 3.6.2 fixes the issue.
In Apache NiFi 1.0.0 to 1.11.4, the NiFi download token (one-time password) mechanism used a fixed cache size and did not authenticate a request to create a download token, only when attempting to use the token to access the content. An unauthenticated user could repeatedly request download tokens, preventing legitimate users from requesting download tokens.
A vulnerability has been identified in RUGGEDCOM CROSSBOW (All versions < V5.5). The affected systems allow any unauthenticated client to disconnect any active user from the server. An attacker could use this vulnerability to prevent any user to perform actions in the system, causing a denial of service situation.
SAP NetWeaver AS JAVA, versions - (ENGINEAPI 7.10; WSRM 7.10, 7.11, 7.20, 7.30, 7.31, 7.40, 7.50; J2EE-FRMW 7.10, 7.11), does not perform any authentication checks for a web service allowing the attacker to send several payloads and leading to complete denial of service.
AVE DOMINAplus <=1.10.x suffers from an unauthenticated reboot command execution. Attackers can exploit this issue to cause a denial of service scenario.
In Contour ( Ingress controller for Kubernetes) before version 1.7.0, a bad actor can shut down all instances of Envoy, essentially killing the entire ingress data plane. GET requests to /shutdown on port 8090 of the Envoy pod initiate Envoy's shutdown procedure. The shutdown procedure includes flipping the readiness endpoint to false, which removes Envoy from the routing pool. When running Envoy (For example on the host network, pod spec hostNetwork=true), the shutdown manager's endpoint is accessible to anyone on the network that can reach the Kubernetes node that's running Envoy. There is no authentication in place that prevents a rogue actor on the network from shutting down Envoy via the shutdown manager endpoint. Successful exploitation of this issue will lead to bad actors shutting down all instances of Envoy, essentially killing the entire ingress data plane. This is fixed in version 1.7.0.
An unprotected logging route may allow an attacker to write endless log statements into the database without space limits or authentication. This results in consuming the entire available hard-disk space on the Ignition 8 Gateway (versions prior to 8.0.10), causing a denial-of-service condition.
ENTTEC Datagate MK2, Storm 24, Pixelator all firmware versions prior to (70044,70050,70060)_update_05032019-482 allows an unauthenticated user to initiate a remote reboot, which may be used to cause a denial of service condition.
An exploitable denial-of-service vulnerability exists in the UDPRelay functionality of Shadowsocks-libev 3.3.2. When utilizing a Stream Cipher and a local_address, arbitrary UDP packets can cause a FATAL error code path and exit. An attacker can send arbitrary UDP packets to trigger this vulnerability.
An issue was discovered on Belkin Wemo Switch 28B WW_2.00.11057.PVT-OWRT-SNS devices. They allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service (persistent rules-processing outage) via a crafted ruleDbBody element in a StoreRules request to the upnp/control/rules1 URI, because database corruption occurs.
A vulnerability has been identified in SPPA-T3000 MS3000 Migration Server (All versions). An attacker with network access to the MS3000 Server could trigger a Denial-of-Service condition by sending specifically crafted packets to port 7061/tcp. This vulnerability is independent from CVE-2019-18310. Please note that an attacker needs to have network access to the MS3000 in order to exploit this vulnerability. At the time of advisory publication no public exploitation of this security vulnerability was known.
The Web Management of TP-Link TP-SG105E V4 1.0.0 Build 20181120 devices allows an unauthenticated attacker to reboot the device via a reboot.cgi request.
A vulnerability in the web-based management interface of Cisco Integrated Management Controller (IMC) Supervisor, Cisco UCS Director, and Cisco UCS Director Express for Big Data could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS) condition. The vulnerability is due to a missing authentication check in an API call. An attacker who can send a request to an affected system could cause all currently authenticated users to be logged off. Repeated exploitation could cause the inability to maintain a session in the web-based management portal.
SAP Host Agent, version 7.21, allows an attacker to cause a slowdown in processing of username/password-based authentication requests of the SAP Host Agent, leading to Denial of Service.
