An issue was discovered in Apereo Opencast 4.x through 10.x before 10.6. It sends system digest credentials during authentication attempts to arbitrary external services in some situations.
Opencast is a free, open-source platform to support the management of educational audio and video content. Prior to Opencast 17.8 and 18.2, in some situations, Opencast's editor may publish a video without notifying the user. This may lead to users accidentally publishing media not meant for publishing, and thus possibly exposing internal media. This risk of this actually impacting someone is very low, though. This can only be triggered by users with write access to an event. They also have to use the editor, which is usually an action taken if they want to publish media and not something users would use on internal media they do not want to publish. Finally, they have to first click on "Save & Publish" before then selecting the "Save" option. Nevertheless, while very unlikely, this can happen. This issue is fixed in Opencast 17.8 and 18.2.

Apereo CAS is an open source multilingual single sign-on solution for the web. Apereo CAS can be configured to use authentication based on client X509 certificates. These certificates can be provided via TLS handshake or a special HTTP header, such as “ssl_client_cert”. When checking the validity of the provided client certificate, X509CredentialsAuthenticationHandler performs check that this certificate is not revoked. To do so, it fetches URLs provided in the “CRL Distribution Points” extension of the certificate, which are taken from the certificate itself and therefore can be controlled by a malicious user. If the CAS server is configured to use an LDAP server for x509 authentication with a password, for example by setting a “cas.authn.x509.ldap.ldap-url” and “cas.authn.x509.ldap.bind-credential” properties, X509CredentialsAuthenticationHandler fetches revocation URLs from the certificate, which can be LDAP urls. When making requests to this LDAP urls, Apereo CAS uses the same password as for initially configured LDAP server, which can lead to a password leak. An unauthenticated user can leak the password used to LDAP connection configured on server. This issue has been addressed in version 6.6.6. Users are advised to upgrade. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability.

LWP::UserAgent versions before 6.83 for Perl leak Authorization and Proxy-Authorization headers on cross-origin redirects. On a 3xx response, the redirect handler strips only Host and Cookie before issuing the follow-up request. Caller-supplied Authorization and Proxy-Authorization headers are sent unchanged to the redirect target, including across scheme, host, or port changes. A redirect to an attacker controlled host therefore discloses the caller's credentials to that host.

The Slider Revolution plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Sensitive Information Disclosure in versions 7.0 to 7.0.10. This is due to three compounding design flaws: (1) the plugin leaks a valid backend AJAX nonce (revslider_actions) to all authenticated users including Subscribers via the admin_footer hook; (2) the wordpress.create.image_from_url action is explicitly allowlisted in the $user_allowed array, bypassing the administrator-only access control; (3) the create_wordpress_image_from_url() function accepts an attacker-controlled url parameter that is passed to import_media(), where path_or_url_exists() explicitly accepts local filesystem paths (file_exists() && is_readable()) with no restriction to remote HTTP/HTTPS URLs, and @copy() physically copies those files into the publicly accessible /wp-content/uploads/revslider/ai/ directory. The MIME type check trusts the attacker-supplied content_type parameter to derive the destination extension without verifying actual file content, and the source extension blacklist does not block many sensitive types (.sql, .log, .json, .bak, .xml, .csv, .conf, .yml, .yaml, .pem, .key, .crt, .txt, .db, etc.). This makes it possible for authenticated attackers with Subscriber-level access and above to read the contents of server files with non-blacklisted extensions by having them copied to a publicly accessible URL.
Nautobot is a Network Automation Platform built as a web application atop the Django Python framework with a PostgreSQL or MySQL database. In Nautobot 2.0.x, certain REST API endpoints, in combination with the `?depth=<N>` query parameter, can expose hashed user passwords as stored in the database to any authenticated user with access to these endpoints. The passwords are not exposed in plaintext. This vulnerability has been patched in version 2.0.3.
LinkAce is a self-hosted archive to collect website links. Versions 2.3.1 and below allow any authenticated user to export the entire database of links from all users in the system, including private links that should only be accessible to their owners. The HTML and CSV export functions in the ExportController class retrieve all links without applying any ownership or visibility filtering, effectively bypassing all access controls implemented elsewhere in the application. This issue is fixed in version 2.4.0.

Fides is an open-source privacy engineering platform for managing the fulfillment of data privacy requests in a runtime environment, and the enforcement of privacy regulations in code. The Fides webserver API allows users to retrieve its configuration using the `GET api/v1/config` endpoint. The configuration data is filtered to suppress most sensitive configuration information before it is returned to the user, but even the filtered data contains information about the internals and the backend infrastructure, such as various settings, servers’ addresses and ports and database username. This information is useful for administrative users as well as attackers, thus it should not be revealed to low-privileged users. This vulnerability allows Admin UI users with roles lower than the owner role e.g. the viewer role to retrieve the config information using the API. The vulnerability has been patched in Fides version `2.22.1`.
