qrcp through 0.8.4, in receive mode, allows ../ Directory Traversal via the file name specified by the uploader.
IBM Security Guardium Key Lifecycle Manager 3.0, 3.0.1, 4.0, 4.1 , and 4.1.1 could allow a remote attacker to traverse directories on the system. An attacker could send a specially crafted URL request containing "dot dot" sequences (/../) to view arbitrary files on the system. IBM X-Force ID: 247618.
When mounting a remote filesystem using NFS, the kernel did not sanitize remotely provided filenames for the path separator character, "/". This allows readdir(3) and related functions to return filesystem entries with names containing additional path components. The lack of validation described above gives rise to a confused deputy problem. For example, a program copying files from an NFS mount could be tricked into copying from outside the intended source directory, and/or to a location outside the intended destination directory.

In Progress® Telerik® Reporting versions prior to 2025 Q1 (19.0.25.211), information disclosure is possible by a local threat actor through an absolute path vulnerability.
In Django 2.2 before 2.2.20, 3.0 before 3.0.14, and 3.1 before 3.1.8, MultiPartParser allowed directory traversal via uploaded files with suitably crafted file names. Built-in upload handlers were not affected by this vulnerability.
Affected versions of Atlassian Jira Server and Data Center allow remote attackers to read particular files via a path traversal vulnerability in the /WEB-INF/web.xml endpoint. The affected versions are before version 8.5.14, from version 8.6.0 before 8.13.6, and from version 8.14.0 before 8.16.1.
A ..%2F path traversal vulnerability exists in the path handler of awful-salmonella-tar before 0.0.4. Attackers can only list directories (not read files). This occurs because the safe-path? Scheme predicate is not used for directories.
Intelbras TIP 200 60.61.75.15, TIP 200 LITE 60.61.75.15, and TIP 300 65.61.75.22 devices allow cgi-bin/cgiServer.exx?page=../ Directory Traversal.
A vulnerability was found in pastebinit up to 0.2.2 and classified as problematic. Affected by this issue is the function pasteHandler of the file server.go. The manipulation of the argument r.URL.Path leads to path traversal. Upgrading to version 0.2.3 is able to address this issue. The name of the patch is 1af2facb6d95976c532b7f8f82747d454a092272. It is recommended to upgrade the affected component. The identifier of this vulnerability is VDB-217040.
The Hustle (aka wordpress-popup) plugin through 6.0.5 for WordPress allows Directory Traversal to obtain a directory listing via the views/admin/dashboard/ URI.
The LuxCal Web Calendar prior to 5.3.3M (MySQL version) and prior to 5.3.3L (SQLite version) contains a path traversal vulnerability in dloader.php. If this vulnerability is exploited, arbitrary files on a server may be obtained.
SeaCMS 13.3 was discovered to contain an arbitrary file read vulnerability in the file_get_contents function at admin_safe_file.php.
Werkzeug is a Web Server Gateway Interface web application library. On Python < 3.11 on Windows, os.path.isabs() does not catch UNC paths like //server/share. Werkzeug's safe_join() relies on this check, and so can produce a path that is not safe, potentially allowing unintended access to data. Applications using Python >= 3.11, or not using Windows, are not vulnerable. Werkzeug version 3.0.6 contains a patch.
In WhatsUp Gold versions released before 2023.1.3, an unauthenticated Path Traversal vulnerability exists Wug.UI.Areas.Wug.Controllers.SessionController.LoadNMScript. This allows allows reading of any file from the applications web-root directory .
IBM Cloud Pak System 2.3.3.6, 2.3.3.6 iFix1, 2.3.3.6 iFix2, 2.3.3.7, 2.3.3.7 iFix1, and 2.3.4.0 could allow a remote attacker to traverse directories on the system. An attacker could send a specially crafted URL request containing "dot dot" sequences (/../) to view arbitrary files on the system.
IBM Sterling Control Center 6.3.0 could allow a remote attacker to traverse directories on the system. An attacker could send a specially crafted URL request containing "dot dot" sequences (/../) to view arbitrary files on the system. IBM X-Force ID: 257874.
This affects the package spatie/browsershot from 0.0.0. By specifying a URL in the file:// protocol an attacker is able to include arbitrary files in the resultant PDF.
Directory traversal vulnerability in KonaWiki 3.1.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files via unspecified vectors.
The AGG Software Web Server version 4.0.40.1014 and prior is vulnerable to a path traversal attack, which may allow an attacker to read arbitrary files from the file system.
Home Assistant before 2021.1.3 does not have a protection layer that can help to prevent directory-traversal attacks against custom integrations. NOTE: the vendor's perspective is that the vulnerability itself is in custom integrations written by third parties, not in Home Assistant; however, Home Assistant does have a security update that is worthwhile in addressing this situation
Directory traversal in /northstar/Common/NorthFileManager/fileManagerObjects.jsp Northstar Technologies Inc NorthStar Club Management 6.3 allows remote unauthenticated users to browse and list the directories across the entire filesystem of the host of the web application.
DBHcms v1.2.0 has a directory traversal vulnerability as there is no directory control function in directory /dbhcms/. A remote unauthenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability to obtain server-sensitive information.

OpenRefine is a free, open source tool for working with messy data. The load-language command expects a `lang` parameter from which it constructs the path of the localization file to load, of the form `translations-$LANG.json`. But when doing so in versions prior to 3.8.3, it does not check that the resulting path is in the expected directory, which means that this command could be exploited to read other JSON files on the file system. Version 3.8.3 addresses this issue.
