A bug in Micrium OS Network HTTP Server permits an invalid pointer dereference during header processing - potentially allowing a device crash and Denial of Service.
Squid is a caching proxy for the Web supporting HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, and more. Due to a Buffer Overread bug Squid is vulnerable to a Denial of Service attack against Squid HTTP Message processing. This bug is fixed by Squid version 6.5. Users are advised to upgrade. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability.
In the Lustre file system before 2.12.3, the ptlrpc module has an out-of-bounds read and panic (via a modified lm_bufcount field) due to the lack of validation for specific fields of packets sent by a client. This is caused by interaction between sptlrpc_svc_unwrap_request and lustre_msg_hdr_size_v2.

An Out of Bounds Write in Cesanta mjs 2.20.0 allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service via the mjs_op_json_stringify function in the msj.c file.
An issue was discovered in Oniguruma 6.x before 6.9.4_rc2. In the function gb18030_mbc_enc_len in file gb18030.c, a UChar pointer is dereferenced without checking if it passed the end of the matched string. This leads to a heap-based buffer over-read.
typed_ast 1.3.0 and 1.3.1 has a handle_keywordonly_args out-of-bounds read. An attacker with the ability to cause a Python interpreter to parse Python source (but not necessarily execute it) may be able to crash the interpreter process. This could be a concern, for example, in a web-based service that parses (but does not execute) Python code. (This issue also affected certain Python 3.8.0-alpha prereleases.)
uhttpd in OpenWrt through 18.06.5 and 19.x through 19.07.0-rc2 has an integer signedness error. This leads to out-of-bounds access to a heap buffer and a subsequent crash. It can be triggered with an HTTP POST request to a CGI script, specifying both "Transfer-Encoding: chunked" and a large negative Content-Length value.
Oniguruma through 6.9.3, as used in PHP 7.3.x and other products, has a heap-based buffer over-read in str_lower_case_match in regexec.c.
ClamAV versions prior to 0.101.2 are susceptible to a denial of service (DoS) vulnerability. An out-of-bounds heap read condition may occur when scanning PE files. An example is Windows EXE and DLL files that have been packed using Aspack as a result of inadequate bound-checking.
A vulnerability has been identified in SPPA-T3000 MS3000 Migration Server (All versions). An attacker with network access to the MS3000 Server could trigger a Denial-of-Service condition by sending specifically crafted packets to port 5010/tcp. This vulnerability is independent from CVE-2019-18290, CVE-2019-18291, CVE-2019-18292, CVE-2019-18294, CVE-2019-18298, CVE-2019-18299, CVE-2019-18300, CVE-2019-18301, CVE-2019-18302, CVE-2019-18303, CVE-2019-18304, CVE-2019-18305, and CVE-2019-18306. Please note that an attacker needs to have network access to the MS3000 in order to exploit this vulnerability. At the time of advisory publication no public exploitation of this security vulnerability was known.
Out-of-bounds write vulnerability in the kernel driver module. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may cause process exceptions.
Onigmo through 6.2.0 has an out-of-bounds read in parse_char_class because of missing codepoint validation in regenc.c.
In libexpat before 2.2.8, crafted XML input could fool the parser into changing from DTD parsing to document parsing too early; a consecutive call to XML_GetCurrentLineNumber (or XML_GetCurrentColumnNumber) then resulted in a heap-based buffer over-read.
Multiple out-of-bounds read vulnerabilities were identified in a system component responsible for handling certain data buffers. Due to insufficient validation of maximum buffer size values, the process may attempt to read beyond the intended memory region. Under specific conditions, this can result in a crash of the affected process and a potential denial-of-service of the compromised process.
Squid is a caching proxy for the Web. Due to an Improper Validation of Specified Index bug, Squid versions 3.3.0.1 through 5.9 and 6.0 prior to 6.4 compiled using `--with-openssl` are vulnerable to a Denial of Service attack against SSL Certificate validation. This problem allows a remote server to perform Denial of Service against Squid Proxy by initiating a TLS Handshake with a specially crafted SSL Certificate in a server certificate chain. This attack is limited to HTTPS and SSL-Bump. This bug is fixed in Squid version 6.4. In addition, patches addressing this problem for the stable releases can be found in Squid's patch archives. Those who you use a prepackaged version of Squid should refer to the package vendor for availability information on updated packages.
A crafted HTTP packet with a large content-length header can create a denial-of-service condition in Softing Secure Integration Server V1.22.
The package `github.com/gomarkdown/markdown` is a Go library for parsing Markdown text and rendering as HTML. Prior to pseudoversion `0.0.0-20230922105210-14b16010c2ee`, which corresponds with commit `14b16010c2ee7ff33a940a541d993bd043a88940`, parsing malformed markdown input with parser that uses parser.Mmark extension could result in out-of-bounds read vulnerability. To exploit the vulnerability, parser needs to have `parser.Mmark` extension set. The panic occurs inside the `citation.go` file on the line 69 when the parser tries to access the element past its length. This can result in a denial of service. Commit `14b16010c2ee7ff33a940a541d993bd043a88940`/pseudoversion `0.0.0-20230922105210-14b16010c2ee` contains a patch for this issue.
When a BIG-IP PEM system is licensed with URL categorization, and the URL categorization policy or an iRule with the urlcat command is enabled on a virtual server, undisclosed requests can cause the Traffic Management Microkernel (TMM) to terminate. Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated.
An issue was discovered in gpac 0.8.0. The strdup function in box_code_base.c has a heap-based buffer over-read.
A flaw was found in Blender 3.3.0. An interger overflow in source/blender/blendthumb/src/blendthumb_extract.cc may lead to program crash or memory corruption.
An out-of-bounds buffer read flaw was found in the pluto daemon of libreswan from versions 3.27 till 3.31 where, an unauthenticated attacker could use this flaw to crash libreswan by sending specially-crafted IKEv1 Informational Exchange packets. The daemon respawns after the crash.

This issue affects HHVM 4.45.0, 4.44.0, 4.43.0, 4.42.0, 4.41.0, 4.40.0, 4.39.0, versions between 4.33.0 and 4.38.0 (inclusive), versions between 4.9.0 and 4.32.0 (inclusive), and versions prior to 4.8.7.
An issue was discovered in FNET through 4.6.4. The code for processing the hop-by-hop header (in the IPv6 extension headers) doesn't check for a valid length of an extension header, and therefore an out-of-bounds read can occur in _fnet_ip6_ext_header_handler_options in fnet_ip6.c, leading to Denial-of-Service.
An issue was discovered in picoTCP 1.7.0. The code for processing the IPv6 destination options does not check for a valid length of the destination options header. This results in an Out-of-Bounds Read, and, depending on the memory protection mechanism, this may result in Denial-of-Service in pico_ipv6_process_destopt() in pico_ipv6.c.

In Wind River VxWorks 6.9 and 7, a specific crafted packet may lead to an out-of-bounds read during an IKE initial exchange scenario.
A CWE-125: Out-of-bounds Read vulnerability exists that could cause denial of service when an attacker repeatedly sends a specially crafted message. Affected Product: Interactive Graphical SCADA System Data Server (V15.0.0.22020 and prior)
LuaJit through 2.1.0-beta3 has an out-of-bounds read because __gc handler frame traversal is mishandled.
openslp: SLPIntersectStringList()' Function has a DoS vulnerability
In Tensorflow before version 2.4.0, an attacker can pass an invalid `axis` value to `tf.quantization.quantize_and_dequantize`. This results in accessing a dimension outside the rank of the input tensor in the C++ kernel implementation. However, dim_size only does a DCHECK to validate the argument and then uses it to access the corresponding element of an array. Since in normal builds, `DCHECK`-like macros are no-ops, this results in segfault and access out of bounds of the array. The issue is patched in eccb7ec454e6617738554a255d77f08e60ee0808 and TensorFlow 2.4.0 will be released containing the patch. TensorFlow nightly packages after this commit will also have the issue resolved.
In nDPI through 3.2, the Oracle protocol dissector has a heap-based buffer over-read in ndpi_search_oracle in lib/protocols/oracle.c.
It is possible for an unauthenticated remote DCOM websocket connection to crash the Command Centre service due to an out-of-bounds buffer access. Affected versions are v8.20 prior to v8.20.1166(MR3), v8.10 prior to v8.10.1211(MR5), v8.00 prior to v8.00.1228(MR6), all versions of 7.90 and earlier.
OnionShare is an open source tool that lets you securely and anonymously share files, host websites, and chat with friends using the Tor network. Affected versions of the desktop application were found to be vulnerable to denial of service via an undisclosed vulnerability in the QT image parsing. Roughly 20 bytes lead to 2GB memory consumption and this can be triggered multiple times. To be abused, this vulnerability requires rendering in the history tab, so some user interaction is required. An adversary with knowledge of the Onion service address in public mode or with authentication in private mode can perform a Denial of Service attack, which quickly results in out-of-memory for the server. This requires the desktop application with rendered history, therefore the impact is only elevated. This issue has been patched in version 2.5.
The Server-Server protocol implementation in ngIRCd before 26~rc2 allows an out-of-bounds access, as demonstrated by the IRC_NJOIN() function.
A denial of service vulnerability exists in some Xiaomi models of phones. The vulnerability is caused by out-of-bound read/write and can be exploited by attackers to make denial of service.
A remote, unauthenticated attacker can send a specific crafted HTTP or HTTPS requests causing a buffer over-read resulting in a crash of the webserver of the CODESYS Control runtime system.
NIP6800;Secospace USG6600;USG9500 products with versions of V500R001C30; V500R001C60SPC500; V500R005C00SPC100 have an out-of-bounds read vulnerability. An unauthenticated attacker crafts malformed message with specific parameter and sends the message to the affected products. Due to insufficient validation of message, which may be exploited to cause the device reboot.
An issue was discovered in Contiki through 3.0. An Out-of-Bounds Read vulnerability exists in the uIP TCP/IP Stack component when calculating the checksums for IP packets in upper_layer_chksum in net/ipv4/uip.c.
