phpMyFAQ: Attachment download allowed without dlattachment right (broken access control)

phpMyFAQ is an open source FAQ web application. Versions 4.0.16 and below allow an authenticated user without the dlattachment permission to download FAQ attachments due to a incomprehensive permissions check. The presence of a right key is improperly validated as proof of authorization in attachment.php. Additionally, the group and user permission logic contains a flawed conditional expression that may allow unauthorized access. This issue has been fixed in version

phpMyFAQ missing authorization exposes /api/setup/backup to any authenticated user

phpMyFAQ is an open source FAQ web application. Versions 4.0.16 and below have flawed authorization logic which exposes the /api/setup/backup endpoint to any authenticated user despite their permissions. SetupController.php uses userIsAuthenticated() but does not verify that the requester has configuration/admin permissions. Non-admin users can trigger a configuration backup and retrieve its path. The endpoint only checks authentication, not authorization, and returns a link to the generated ZIP. This issue is fixed in version 4.0.17.

phpMyFAQ - Unauthenticated Information Disclosure via getIdFromSolutionId Permission Bypass

phpMyFAQ before 4.1.2 contains an information disclosure vulnerability in the getIdFromSolutionId() method that lacks permission filtering, allowing unauthenticated attackers to enumerate restricted FAQ entries and read their titles via the /solution_id_{id}.html endpoint. Attackers can sequentially iterate solution IDs to discover all FAQs including those restricted to specific users or groups, leaking sensitive metadata through redirect Location headers and page canonical links.

phpMyFAQ sharing FAQ functionality can easily be abused for phishing purposes

phpMyFAQ is an Open Source FAQ web application for PHP 8.1+ and MySQL, PostgreSQL and other databases. The 'sharing FAQ' functionality allows any unauthenticated actor to misuse the phpMyFAQ application to send arbitrary emails to a large range of targets. The phpMyFAQ application has a functionality where anyone can share a FAQ item to others. The front-end of this functionality allows any phpMyFAQ articles to be shared with 5 email addresses. Any unauthenticated actor can perform this action. There is a CAPTCHA in place, however the amount of people you email with a single request is not limited to 5 by the backend. An attacker can thus solve a single CAPTCHA and send thousands of emails at once. An attacker can utilize the target application's email server to send phishing messages. This can get the server on a blacklist, causing all emails to end up in spam. It can also lead to reputation damages. This issue has been patched in version 3.2.5.

Sentry vulnerable to improper authorization on debug and artifact file downloads

Sentry is an error tracking and performance monitoring platform. Starting in version 8.21.0 and prior to version 23.5.2, an authenticated user can download a debug or artifact bundle from arbitrary organizations and projects with a known bundle ID. The user does not need to be a member of the organization or have permissions on the project. A patch was issued in version 23.5.2 to ensure authorization checks are properly scoped on requests to retrieve debug or artifact bundles. Authenticated users who do not have the necessary permissions on the particular project are no longer able to download them. Sentry SaaS users do not need to take any action. Self-Hosted Sentry users should upgrade to version 23.5.2 or higher.

Apache Pulsar Function Worker: Incorrect Authorization for Function Worker Can Leak Sink/Source Credentials

Incorrect Authorization vulnerability in Apache Software Foundation Apache Pulsar Function Worker. This issue affects Apache Pulsar: before 2.10.4, and 2.11.0. Any authenticated user can retrieve a source's configuration or a sink's configuration without authorization. Many sources and sinks contain credentials in the configuration, which could lead to leaked credentials. This vulnerability is mitigated by the fact that there is not a known way for an authenticated user to enumerate another tenant's sources or sinks, meaning the source or sink name would need to be guessed in order to exploit this vulnerability. The recommended mitigation for impacted users is to upgrade the Pulsar Function Worker to a patched version. 2.10 Pulsar Function Worker users should upgrade to at least 2.10.4. 2.11 Pulsar Function Worker users should upgrade to at least 2.11.1. 3.0 Pulsar Function Worker users are unaffected. Any users running the Pulsar Function Worker for 2.9.* and earlier should upgrade to one of the above patched versions.

Auth bypass in Dark SDK

Dart SDK contains the HTTPClient in dart:io library whcih includes authorization headers when handling cross origin redirects. These headers may be explicitly set and contain sensitive information. By default, HttpClient handles redirection logic. If a request is sent to example.com with authorization header and it redirects to an attackers site, they might not expect attacker site to receive authorization header. We recommend updating the Dart SDK to version 2.16.0 or beyond.

Audiobookshelf: Cross-library file exfiltration via unscoped bulk download endpoint

Audiobookshelf is a self-hosted audiobook and podcast server. Prior to 2.32.2, the GET /api/libraries/:id/download endpoint validates that the requesting user has access to the library specified in the URL path, but fetches downloadable items solely by attacker-provided IDs without constraining them to that library. An authenticated user with download permission and access to any one library can exfiltrate the full file contents of items belonging to any other library, including libraries they are explicitly denied access to. Outline: Unauthorized Document Publication via Mixed collectionId+documentId Share

Outline is a service that allows for collaborative documentation. Prior to 1.7.0, the shares.create API accepts both collectionId and documentId simultaneously and, when published=false, only verifies read access for each—skipping the "share" permission check. A subsequent shares.update authorizes publication using an OR policy (can share collection OR can share document), so an attacker who holds share permission on one unrelated collection can publish a share that exposes an arbitrary document they cannot legitimately share, making it publicly accessible to unauthenticated users. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.7.0.

Pulsar Admin API allows access to data from other tenants using getMessageById API

In Apache Pulsar it is possible to access data from BookKeeper that does not belong to the topics accessible by the authenticated user. The Admin API get-message-by-id requires the user to input a topic and a ledger id. The ledger id is a pointer to the data, and it is supposed to be a valid it for the topic. Authorisation controls are performed against the topic name and there is not proper validation the that ledger id is valid in the context of such ledger. So it may happen that the user is able to read from a ledger that contains data owned by another tenant. This issue affects Apache Pulsar Apache Pulsar version 2.8.0 and prior versions; Apache Pulsar version 2.7.3 and prior versions; Apache Pulsar version 2.6.4 and prior versions.

Auth bypass in Web Stories for WordPress plugin

The Web Stories for WordPress plugin supports the WordPress built-in functionality of protecting content with a password. The content is then only accessible to website visitors after entering the password. In WordPress, users with the "Author" role can create stories, but don't have the ability to edit password protected stories. The vulnerability allowed users with said role to bypass this permission check when trying to duplicate the protected story in the plugin's own dashboard, giving them access to the seemingly protected content. We recommend upgrading to version 1.32 or beyond commit  ad49781c2a35c5c92ef704d4b621ab4e5cb77d68 https://github.com/GoogleForCreators/web-stories-wp/commit/ad49781c2a35c5c92ef704d4b621ab4e5cb77d68

Profile Builder – User Profile & User Registration Forms <= 3.9.0 - Sensitive Information Disclosure via Shortcode

The Profile Builder – User Profile & User Registration Forms plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to sensitive information disclosure via the [user_meta] shortcode in versions up to, and including 3.9.0. This is due to insufficient restriction on sensitive user meta values that can be called via that shortcode. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level permissions, and above to retrieve sensitive user meta that can be used to gain access to a high privileged user account. This does require the Usermeta shortcode be enabled to be exploited.

File Browser has an Authorization Policy Bypass in its Public Share Download Flow

File Browser is a file managing interface for uploading, deleting, previewing, renaming, and editing files within a specified directory. Versions 2.61.0 and below contain a permission enforcement bypass which allows users who are denied download privileges (perm.download = false) but granted share privileges (perm.share = true) to exfiltrate file content by creating public share links. While the direct raw download endpoint (/api/raw/) correctly enforces the download permission, the share creation endpoint only checks Perm.Share, and the public download handler (/api/public/dl/<hash>) serves file content without verifying that the original file owner has download permission. This means any authenticated user with share access can circumvent download restrictions by sharing a file and then retrieving it via the unauthenticated public download URL. The vulnerability undermines data-loss prevention and role-separation policies, as restricted users can publicly distribute files they are explicitly blocked from downloading directly. This issue has been fixed in version 2.62.0.

Authenticated Frigate users can read the full unredacted configuration via `/api/config/raw

Frigate is a network video recorder (NVR) with realtime local object detection for IP cameras. In version 0.17.0, an authenticated non-admin user can retrieve the full raw Frigate configuration through `/api/config/raw`. This exposes sensitive values that are intentionally redacted from `/api/config`, including camera credentials, go2rtc stream credentials, MQTT passwords, proxy secrets, and any other secrets stored in `config.yml`. This appears to be a broken access control issue introduced by the admin-by-default API refactor: `/api/config/raw_paths` is admin-only, but `/api/config/raw` is still accessible to any authenticated user. Version 0.17.1 contains a patch.

Discourse Allows Unauthorized Access to Deleted Posts Index via Group Membership

Discourse is an open-source discussion platform. Prior to versions 2026.3.0-latest.1, 2026.2.1, and 2026.1.2, a non-staff user with elevated group membership could access deleted posts belonging to any user due to an overly broad authorization check on the deleted posts index endpoint. Versions 2026.3.0-latest.1, 2026.2.1, and 2026.1.2 contain a patch. No known workarounds are available.

Parse Server: LiveQuery bypasses CLP pointer permission enforcement

Parse Server is an open source backend that can be deployed to any infrastructure that can run Node.js. Prior to versions 8.6.53 and 9.6.0-alpha.42, Parse Server's LiveQuery WebSocket interface does not enforce Class-Level Permission (CLP) pointer permissions (readUserFields and pointerFields). Any authenticated user can subscribe to LiveQuery events and receive real-time updates for all objects in classes protected by pointer permissions, regardless of whether the pointer fields on those objects point to the subscribing user. This bypasses the intended read access control, allowing unauthorized access to potentially sensitive data that is correctly restricted via the REST API. This issue has been patched in versions 8.6.53 and 9.6.0-alpha.42.
