The optional extension component TinkerpopClientService is missing the Restricted annotation with the Execute Code Required Permission in Apache NiFi 2.0.0-M1 through 2.8.0. The TinkerpopClientService supports configuration of ByteCode Submission for the Script Submission Type, enabling Groovy Script execution in the service prior to submitting the query. The missing Restricted annotation allows users without the Execute Code Permission to configure the Service in installations that use fine-grained authorization and have the optional TinkerpopClientService installed. Apache NiFi installations that do not have the nifi-other-graph-services-nar installed are not subject to this vulnerability. Upgrading to Apache NiFi 2.9.0 is the recommended mitigation.
Directus is a real-time API and App dashboard for managing SQL database content. Prior to 11.17.0, the PATCH /files/{id} endpoint accepts a user-controlled filename_disk parameter. By setting this value to match the storage path of another user's file, an attacker can overwrite that file's content while manipulating metadata fields such as uploaded_by to obscure the tampering. This vulnerability is fixed in 11.17.0.
Authorization Bypass Through User-Controlled Key vulnerability in Vadi Corporate Information Systems DigiKent allows Authentication Bypass, Authentication Abuse. This issue affects DigiKent: before 23.03.20.
The WooCommerce Multiple Customer Addresses & Shipping WordPress plugin before 21.7 does not ensure that the address to add/update/retrieve/delete and duplicate belong to the user making the request, or is from a high privilege users, allowing any authenticated users, such as subscriber to add/update/duplicate/delete as well as retrieve addresses of other users.
Rapid7 Velociraptor allows users to be created with different privileges on the server. Administrators are generally allowed to run any command on the server including writing arbitrary files. However, lower privilege users are generally forbidden from writing or modifying files on the server. The VQL copy() function applies permission checks for reading files but does not check for permission to write files. This allows a low privilege user (usually, users with the Velociraptor "investigator" role) to overwrite files on the server, including Velociraptor configuration files. To exploit this vulnerability, the attacker must already have a Velociraptor user account at a low privilege level (at least "analyst") and be able to log into the GUI and create a notebook where they can run the VQL query invoking the copy() VQL function. Typically, most users deploy Velociraptor with limited access to a trusted group (most users will be administrators within the GUI). This vulnerability is associated with program files https://github.Com/Velocidex/velociraptor/blob/master/vql/filesystem/copy.go https://github.Com/Velocidex/velociraptor/blob/master/vql/filesystem/copy.go and program routines copy(). This issue affects Velociraptor versions before 0.6.7-5. Version 0.6.7-5, released January 16, 2023, fixes the issue.
Insecure Permissions vulnerability in kvf-admin v1.0.0 allows a remote attacker to escalate privileges via the UserController.java component
A Broken Object-Level Authorization (BOLA) in the /Settings/UserController.php endpoint of Webkul Krayin CRM v2.2.x allows authenticated attackers to arbitrarily reset user passwords and perform a full account takeover via supplying a crafted HTTP request.
Neko is a a self-hosted virtual browser that runs in Docker and uses WebRTC In versions 3.0.0 through 3.0.10 and 3.1.0 through 3.1.1, any authenticated user can immediately obtain full administrative control of the entire Neko instance (member management, room settings, broadcast control, session termination, etc.). This results in a complete compromise of the instance. The vulnerability has been patched in v3.0.11 and v3.1.2. If upgrading is not immediately possible, the following mitigations can reduce risk: Restrict access to trusted users only (avoid granting accounts to untrusted parties); ensure all user passwords are strong and only shared with trusted individuals; run the instance only when needed; avoid leaving it continuously exposed; place the instance behind authentication layers such as a reverse proxy with additional access controls; disable or restrict access to the /api/profile endpoint if feasible; and/or monitor for suspicious privilege changes or unexpected administrative actions. Note that these are temporary mitigations and do not fully eliminate the vulnerability. Upgrading is strongly recommended.
Genealogy is a family tree PHP application. Prior to 5.9.1, a critical broken access control vulnerability in the genealogy application allows any authenticated user to transfer ownership of arbitrary non-personal teams to themselves. This enables complete takeover of other users’ team workspaces and unrestricted access to all genealogy data associated with the compromised team. This vulnerability is fixed in 5.9.1.
A flaw was found in Samba. The KDC accepts kpasswd requests encrypted with any key known to it. By encrypting forged kpasswd requests with its own key, a user can change other users' passwords, enabling full domain takeover.
An Authorization Bypass vulnerability was found in MB Connect Lines mbCONNECT24, mymbCONNECT24 and Helmholz' myREX24 and myREX24.virtual version <= 2.13.3. An authenticated remote user with low privileges can change the password of any user in the same account. This allows to take over the admin user and therefore fully compromise the account.
OpenPLC_V3 REST API endpoint checks for JWT presence but never verifies the caller's role. Any authenticated user with role=user can delete any other user, including administrators, by specifying their user ID or they can create new accounts with role=admin, escalating to full administrator access.
Brave CMS is an open-source CMS. Prior to 2.0.6, this vulnerability is a missing authorization check found in the update role endpoint at routes/web.php. The POST route for /rights/update-role/{id} lacks the checkUserPermissions:assign-user-roles middleware. This allows any authenticated user to change account roles and promote themselves to Super Admin. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.0.6.
MyTube is a self-hosted downloader and player for several video websites Prior to version 1.8.69, an authorization bypass in the `/api/settings/import-database` endpoint allows attackers with low-privilege credentials to upload and replace the application's SQLite database entirely, leading to a full compromise of the application. The bypass is relevant for other POST routes as well. Version 1.8.69 fixes the issue.
OpenEMR is a free and open source electronic health records and medical practice management application. Prior to version 8.0.0.3, the billing file-download endpoint `interface/billing/get_claim_file.php` only verifies that the caller has a valid session and CSRF token, but does not check any ACL permissions. This allows any authenticated OpenEMR user — regardless of whether they have billing privileges — to download and permanently delete electronic claim batch files containing protected health information (PHI). Version 8.0.0.3 patches the issue.
Traefik is an HTTP reverse proxy and load balancer. Prior to versions 2.11.42, 3.6.11, and 3.7.0-ea.3, when `headerField` is configured with a non-canonical HTTP header name (e.g., `x-auth-user` instead of `X-Auth-User`), an authenticated attacker can inject their own canonical version of that header to impersonate any identity to the backend. The backend receives two header entries — the attacker-injected canonical one is read first, overriding Traefik's non-canonical write. Versions 2.11.42, 3.6.11, and 3.7.0-ea.3 patch the issue.
Langflow is a tool for building and deploying AI-powered agents and workflows. Prior to version 1.5.1, the `_read_flow` helper in `src/backend/base/langflow/api/v1/flows.py` branched on the `AUTO_LOGIN` setting to decide whether to filter by `user_id`. When `AUTO_LOGIN` was `False` (i.e., authentication was enabled), neither branch enforced an ownership check — the query returned any flow matching the given UUID regardless of who owned it. This allowed any authenticated user to read any other user's flow, including embedded plaintext API keys; modify the logic of another user's AI agents, and/or delete flows belonging to other users. The vulnerability was introduced by the conditional logic that was meant to accommodate public/example flows (those with `user_id = NULL`) under auto-login mode, but inadvertently left the authenticated path without an ownership filter. The fix in version 1.5.1 removes the `AUTO_LOGIN` conditional entirely and unconditionally scopes the query to the requesting user.
OAuthenticator is software that allows OAuth2 identity providers to be plugged in and used with JupyterHub. Prior to version 17.4.0, an authentication bypass vulnerability in oauthenticator allows an attacker with an unverified email address on an Auth0 tenant to login to JupyterHub. When email is used as the usrname_claim, this gives users control over their username and the possibility of account takeover. This issue has been patched in version 17.4.0.
A missing authorization vulnerability in the web management interface of FatPipe WARP, IPVPN, and MPVPN software prior to versions 10.1.2r60p91 and 10.2.2r42 allows an authenticated, remote attacker with read-only privileges to create an account with administrative privileges. Older versions of FatPipe software may also be vulnerable. This does not appear to be a CSRF vulnerability. The FatPipe advisory identifier for this vulnerability is FPSA005.
SQLBot is an intelligent data query system based on a large language model and RAG. Versions 1.5.0 and below contain a Stored Prompt Injection vulnerability that chains three flaws: a missing permission check on the Excel upload API allowing any authenticated user to upload malicious terminology, unsanitized storage of terminology descriptions containing dangerous payloads, and a lack of semantic fencing when injecting terminology into the LLM's system prompt. Together, these flaws allow an attacker to hijack the LLM's reasoning to generate malicious PostgreSQL commands (e.g., COPY ... TO PROGRAM), ultimately achieving Remote Code Execution on the database or application server with postgres user privileges. The issue is fixed in v1.6.0.
Dell Automation Platform versions prior to 2.0.0.0, contains a missing authorization vulnerability. A low privileged attacker with remote access could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to Elevation of privileges.
FatPipe WARP, IPVPN, and MPVPN software prior to versions 10.1.2r60p91 and 10.2.2r42 allows a remote, authenticated attacker with read-only privileges to grant themselves administrative privileges. Older versions of FatPipe software may also be vulnerable. The FatPipe advisory identifier for this vulnerability is FPSA001.
PingPong is a platform for using large language models (LLMs) for teaching and learning. Prior to 7.27.2, an authenticated user may be able to retrieve or delete files outside the intended authorization scope. This issue could result in retrieval or deletion of private files, including user-uploaded files and model-generated output files. Exploitation required authentication and permission to view at least one thread for retrieval, and authentication and permission to participate in at least one thread for deletion. This vulnerability is fixed in 7.27.2.
StudioCMS is a server-side-rendered, Astro native, headless content management system. Prior to 0.4.0, the /studiocms_api/dashboard/api-tokens endpoint allows any authenticated user (at least Editor) to generate API tokens for any other user, including owner and admin accounts. The endpoint fails to validate whether the requesting user is authorized to create tokens on behalf of the target user ID, resulting in a full privilege escalation. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.4.0.
Several WordPress plugins developed by Cool Plugins are vulnerable to arbitrary plugin installation and activation that can lead to remote code execution by authenticated attackers with minimal permissions, such as a subscriber.
When using wagtail-2fa before 1.3.0, if someone gains access to someone's Wagtail login credentials, they can log into the CMS and bypass the 2FA check by changing the URL. They can then add a new device and gain full access to the CMS. This problem has been patched in version 1.3.0.
The WCFM Frontend Manager plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized modification and access of data in versions up to, and including, 6.6.0 due to missing capability checks on various AJAX actions. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with minimal permissions such as subscribers, to perform a wide variety of actions such as modifying knowledge bases, modifying notices, modifying payments, managing vendors, capabilities, and so much more. There were hundreds of AJAX endpoints affected.
The Linksy Search and Replace plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized modification of data due to a missing capability check on the 'linksy_search_and_replace_item_details' function in all versions up to, and including, 1.0.4. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to update any database table, any value, including the wp_capabilities database field, which allows attackers to change their own role to administrator, which leads to privilege escalation.
Fleet is open source device management software. Prior to 4.81.1, a broken access control vulnerability in Fleet's host transfer API allows a team maintainer to transfer hosts from any team into their own team, bypassing team isolation boundaries. Once transferred, the attacker gains full control over the stolen hosts, including the ability to execute scripts with root privileges. Version 4.81.1 patches the issue.
openDCIM version 23.04, through commit 4467e9c4, contains a missing authorization vulnerability in install.php and container-install.php. The installer and upgrade handler expose LDAP configuration functionality without enforcing application role checks. Any authenticated user can access this functionality regardless of assigned privileges. In deployments where REMOTE_USER is set without authentication enforcement, the endpoint may be accessible without credentials. This allows unauthorized modification of application configuration.
Vito is a self-hosted web application that helps manage servers and deploy PHP applications into production servers. Prior to version 3.20.3, a missing authorization check in workflow site-creation actions allows an authenticated attacker with workflow write access in one project to create/manage sites on servers belonging to other projects by supplying a foreign server_id. This issue has been patched in version 3.20.3.
The iubenda WordPress plugin before 3.3.3 does does not have authorisation and CSRF in an AJAX action, and does not ensure that the options to be updated belong to the plugin as long as they are arrays. As a result, any authenticated users, such as subscriber can grant themselves any privileges, such as edit_plugins etc
An Indirect Object Reference (IDOR) in Security Center allows an authenticated remote attacker to escalate privileges via the 'owner' parameter.
eNet SMART HOME server 2.2.1 and 2.3.1 contains a missing authorization vulnerability in the resetUserPassword JSON-RPC method that allows any authenticated low-privileged user (UG_USER) to reset the password of arbitrary accounts, including those in the UG_ADMIN and UG_SUPER_ADMIN groups, without supplying the current password or having sufficient privileges. By sending a crafted JSON-RPC request to /jsonrpc/management, an attacker can overwrite existing credentials, resulting in direct account takeover with full administrative access and persistent privilege escalation.
Budibase is a low code platform for creating internal tools, workflows, and admin panels. This issue is a combination of Vertical Privilege Escalation and IDOR (Insecure Direct Object Reference) due to missing server-side RBAC checks in the /api/global/users endpoints. A Creator-level user, who should have no permissions to manage users or organizational roles, can instead promote an App Viewer to Tenant Admin, demote a Tenant Admin to App Viewer, or modify the Owner’s account details and all orders (e.g., change name). This is because the API accepts these actions without validating the requesting role, a Creator can replay Owner-only requests using their own session tokens. This leads to full tenant compromise.
Outline is a service that allows for collaborative documentation. Prior to 1.4.0, an Insecure Direct Object Reference (IDOR) vulnerability in the document restoration logic allows any team member to unauthorizedly restore, view, and seize ownership of deleted drafts belonging to other users, including administrators. By bypassing ownership validation during the restore process, an attacker can access sensitive private information and effectively lock the original owner out of their own content. Version 1.4.0 fixes the issue.
OpenEMR is a free and open source electronic health records and medical practice management application. Prior to version 8.0.0, a Broken Access Control vulnerability exists in the OpenEMR order types management system, allowing low-privilege users (such as Receptionist) to add and modify procedure types without proper authorization. This vulnerability is present in the /openemr/interface/orders/types_edit.php endpoint. Version 8.0.0 contains a patch.
D-Link D-View 8 versions 2.0.1.107 and below contain an improper access control vulnerability in backend API endpoints. Any authenticated user can supply an arbitrary user_id value to retrieve sensitive credential data belonging to other users, including super administrators. The exposed credential material can be reused directly as a valid authentication secret, allowing full impersonation of the targeted account. This results in complete account takeover and full administrative control over the D-View system.
The WCFM Marketplace plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized modification and access of data in versions up to, and including, 3.4.11 due to missing capability checks on various AJAX actions. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with minimal permissions such as subscribers, to perform a wide variety of actions such as modifying shipping method details, modifying products, deleting arbitrary posts, and privilege escalation (via the wp_ajax_wcfm_vendor_store_online AJAX action).
Missing Authorization vulnerability in hassantafreshi Easy Form Builder easy-form-builder allows Exploiting Incorrectly Configured Access Control Security Levels. This issue affects Easy Form Builder: from n/a through <= 3.9.6.
Windmill versions 1.56.0 through 1.614.0 contain a missing authorization vulnerability that allows users with the Operator role to perform prohibited entity creation and modification actions via the backend API. Although Operators are documented and priced as unable to create or modify entities, the API does not enforce the Operator restriction on workspace endpoints, allowing an Operator to create and update scripts, flows, apps, and raw_apps. Since Operators can also execute scripts via the jobs API, this allows direct privilege escalation to remote code execution within the Windmill deployment. This vulnerability has existed since the introduction of the Operator role in version 1.56.0.
Missing Authorization vulnerability in Rasedul Haque Rumi BD Courier Order Ratio Checker bd-courier-order-ratio-checker allows Exploiting Incorrectly Configured Access Control Security Levels. This issue affects BD Courier Order Ratio Checker: from n/a through <= 2.0.1.
The ExactMetrics – Google Analytics Dashboard for WordPress plugin is vulnerable to Insecure Direct Object Reference in versions 8.6.0 through 9.0.2. This is due to the `store_settings()` method in the `ExactMetrics_Onboarding` class accepting a user-supplied `triggered_by` parameter that is used instead of the current user's ID to check permissions. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers with the `exactmetrics_save_settings` capability to bypass the `install_plugins` capability check by specifying an administrator's user ID in the `triggered_by` parameter, allowing them to install arbitrary plugins and achieve Remote Code Execution. This vulnerability only affects sites on which administrator has given other user types the permission to view reports and can only be exploited by users of that type.
The WP Duplicate plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Missing Authorization leading to Arbitrary File Upload in all versions up to and including 1.1.8. This is due to a missing capability check on the `process_add_site()` AJAX action combined with path traversal in the file upload functionality. This makes it possible for authenticated (subscriber-level) attackers to set the internal `prod_key_random_id` option, which can then be used by an unauthenticated attacker to bypass authentication checks and write arbitrary files to the server via the `handle_upload_single_big_file()` function, ultimately leading to remote code execution.
The WowRevenue plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized plugin installation due to a missing capability check in the 'Notice::install_activate_plugin' function in all versions up to, and including, 2.1.3. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to install arbitrary plugins on the affected site's server which may make remote code execution possible.
The Orderable – WordPress Restaurant Online Ordering System and Food Ordering Plugin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized plugin installation due to a missing capability check on the 'install_plugin' function in all versions up to, and including, 1.20.0. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to install arbitrary plugins, which can lead to Remote Code Execution.
The WP AUDIO GALLERY plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Unauthorized Arbitrary File Read in all versions up to, and including, 2.0. This is due to insufficient capability checks and lack of nonce verification on the "wpag_htaccess_callback" function This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to overwrite the site's .htaccess file with arbitrary content, which can lead to arbitrary file read on the server under certain configurations.
The Resideo Plugin for Resideo - Real Estate WordPress Theme plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to privilege escalation via account takeover in all versions up to, and including, 2.5.4. This is due to the plugin not properly validating a user's identity prior to updating their details like email. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to change arbitrary user's email addresses, including administrators, and leverage that to reset the user's password and gain access to their account.
The e-School from Ventem has a Missing Authorization vulnerability, allowing remote attackers with regular privilege to access administrator functions, including creating, modifying, and deleting accounts. They can even escalate any account to system administrator privilege.
The WPGYM - Wordpress Gym Management System plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to privilege escalation in all versions up to, and including, 67.7.0 via the 'MJ_gmgt_gmgt_add_user' function due to missing validation on a user controlled key. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to change the email, password, and other details of any user, including Administrator users.
