DOMPurify before 2.0.1 allows XSS because of innerHTML mutation XSS (mXSS) for an SVG element or a MATH element, as demonstrated by Chrome and Safari.
DOMPurify is a DOM-only cross-site scripting sanitizer for HTML, MathML, and SVG. Prior to 3.4.7, DOMPurify IN_PLACE sanitization could skip shadow contents attached to an element inside <template>.content, allowing attacker-controlled markup such as event handlers, JavaScript URLs, or scripts to survive and execute when an application cloned and inserted the sanitized template. This issue is fixed in version 3.4.7.
DOMPurify is a DOM-only cross-site scripting sanitizer for HTML, MathML, and SVG. Versions prior to 3.4.0 have an inconsistency between FORBID_TAGS and FORBID_ATTR handling when function-based ADD_TAGS is used. Commit c361baa added an early exit for FORBID_ATTR at line 1214. The same fix was not applied to FORBID_TAGS. At line 1118-1123, when EXTRA_ELEMENT_HANDLING.tagCheck returns true, the short-circuit evaluation skips the FORBID_TAGS check entirely. This allows forbidden elements to survive sanitization with their attributes intact. Version 3.4.0 patches the issue.
DOMPurify is a DOM-only cross-site scripting sanitizer for HTML, MathML, and SVG. Prior to 3.4.6, DOMPurify.sanitize(root, { IN_PLACE: true }) could preserve event-handler attributes on an attacker-controlled <form> root when a descendant name clobbered properties checked by _isClobbered, because _forceRemove no-opped on the parent-less root and _sanitizeAttributes returned early. This issue is fixed in version 3.4.6.
DOMPurify is a DOM-only cross-site scripting sanitizer for HTML, MathML, and SVG. Prior to 3.4.6, DOMPurify.sanitize(node, { IN_PLACE: true }) accepted same-origin foreign-realm DOM nodes while follow-on checks used parent-realm constructors, causing instanceof checks for forms, named node maps, document fragments, and elements to fail and skip clobber, template-content, and shadow-DOM sanitization branches so executable markup could survive. This issue is fixed in version 3.4.6.
Cure53 DOMPurify before 2.0.17 allows mutation XSS. This occurs because a serialize-parse roundtrip does not necessarily return the original DOM tree, and a namespace can change from HTML to MathML, as demonstrated by nesting of FORM elements.
DOMPurify before 3.2.4 has an incorrect template literal regular expression, sometimes leading to mutation cross-site scripting (mXSS).
DOMPurify is a DOM-only cross-site scripting sanitizer for HTML, MathML, and SVG. Starting in version 1.0.10 and prior to version 3.4.0, `SAFE_FOR_TEMPLATES` strips `{{...}}` expressions from untrusted HTML. This works in string mode but not with `RETURN_DOM` or `RETURN_DOM_FRAGMENT`, allowing XSS via template-evaluating frameworks like Vue 2. Version 3.4.0 patches the issue.
DOMPurify is a DOM-only cross-site scripting sanitizer for HTML, MathML, and SVG. Versions 3.0.1 through 3.3.3 are vulnerable to a prototype pollution-based XSS bypass. When an application uses `DOMPurify.sanitize()` with the default configuration (no `CUSTOM_ELEMENT_HANDLING` option), a prior prototype pollution gadget can inject permissive `tagNameCheck` and `attributeNameCheck` regex values into `Object.prototype`, causing DOMPurify to allow arbitrary custom elements with arbitrary attributes — including event handlers — through sanitization. Version 3.4.0 fixes the issue.
DOMPurify is a DOM-only, super-fast, uber-tolerant XSS sanitizer for HTML, MathML and SVG. DOMpurify was vulnerable to nesting-based mXSS. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.5.0 and 3.1.3.
DOMPurify 3.1.3 through 3.3.1 and 2.5.3 through 2.5.8, fixed in commit 2726c74, contain a cross-site scripting vulnerability that allows attackers to bypass attribute sanitization by exploiting five missing rawtext elements (noscript, xmp, noembed, noframes, iframe) in the SAFE_FOR_XML regex. Attackers can include payloads like </noscript><img src=x onerror=alert(1)> in attribute values to execute JavaScript when sanitized output is placed inside these unprotected rawtext contexts.
DOMPurify 3.1.3 through 3.2.6 and 2.5.3 through 2.5.8 contain a cross-site scripting vulnerability that allows attackers to bypass attribute sanitization by exploiting missing textarea rawtext element validation in the SAFE_FOR_XML regex. Attackers can include closing rawtext tags like </textarea> in attribute values to break out of rawtext contexts and execute JavaScript when sanitized output is placed inside rawtext elements. The 3.x branch was fixed in 3.2.7; the 2.x branch was never patched.
Improper neutralization of input during web page generation ('cross-site scripting') in Office Out-of-Box Experience allows an unauthorized attacker to perform spoofing over a network.
A Cross-Site Scripting vulnerable identified in NetIQ Advance Authentication that impacts the server functionality and disclose sensitive information. This issue affects NetIQ Advance Authentication before 6.3.5.1
Vulnerability in the Oracle iStore product of Oracle E-Business Suite (component: User Registration). Supported versions that are affected are 12.1.1-12.1.3 and 12.2.3-12.2.9. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle iStore. Successful attacks require human interaction from a person other than the attacker and while the vulnerability is in Oracle iStore, attacks may significantly impact additional products. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized access to critical data or complete access to all Oracle iStore accessible data as well as unauthorized update, insert or delete access to some of Oracle iStore accessible data. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 8.2 (Confidentiality and Integrity impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:H/I:L/A:N).
react-dashboard 1.4.0 is vulnerable to Cross Site Scripting (XSS) as httpOnly is not set.
LedgerSMB does not sufficiently HTML-encode error messages sent to the browser. By sending a specially crafted URL to an authenticated user, this flaw can be abused for remote code execution and information disclosure.
WeGIA is a Web manager for charitable institutions. Prior to 3.4.7, a Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability was identified in the pre_cadastro_adotante.php endpoint of the WeGIA application. This vulnerability allows attackers to inject malicious scripts in the msg_e parameter. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.4.7.
Promptcraft Forge Studio is a toolkit for evaluating, optimizing, and maintaining LLM-powered applications. All versions of Promptcraft Forge Studio sanitize user input using regex blacklists such as r`eplace(/javascript:/gi, '')`. Because the package uses multi-character tokens and each replacement is applied only once, removing one occurrence can create a new dangerous token due to overlap. The “sanitized” value may still contain an executable payload when used in href/src (or injected into the DOM). There is currently no fix for this issue.
A vulnerability in WhatsApp Desktop versions prior to 0.3.9309 when paired with WhatsApp for iPhone versions prior to 2.20.10 allows cross-site scripting and local file reading. Exploiting the vulnerability requires the victim to click a link preview from a specially crafted text message.
Synapse is a Matrix reference homeserver written in python (pypi package matrix-synapse). Matrix is an ecosystem for open federated Instant Messaging and VoIP. In Synapse before version 1.27.0, the password reset endpoint served via Synapse was vulnerable to cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks. The impact depends on the configuration of the domain that Synapse is deployed on, but may allow access to cookies and other browser data, CSRF vulnerabilities, and access to other resources served on the same domain or parent domains. This is fixed in version 1.27.0.
FlatPress contains a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability in comment and contact forms where name, URL, and email fields are rendered without proper output encoding in Smarty templates. Attackers can inject arbitrary HTML and JavaScript through these fields to execute malicious scripts in browsers of viewers including administrators, or bypass URL scheme validation to inject javascript: or data: URIs.

WWBN AVideo is an open source video platform. In versions up to and including 26.0, the YPTWallet Stripe payment confirmation page directly echoes the `$_REQUEST['plugin']` parameter into a JavaScript block without any encoding or sanitization. The `plugin` parameter is not included in any of the framework's input filter lists defined in `security.php`, so it passes through completely raw. An attacker can inject arbitrary JavaScript by crafting a malicious URL and sending it to a victim user. The same script block also outputs the current user's username and password hash via `User::getUserName()` and `User::getUserPass()`, meaning a successful XSS exploitation can immediately exfiltrate these credentials. Commit fa0bc102493a15d79fe03f86c07ab7ca1b5b63e2 fixes the issue.
oRPC is an tool that helps build APIs that are end-to-end type-safe and adhere to OpenAPI standards. Prior to version 1.13.9, a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in the OpenAPI documentation generation of orpc. If an attacker can control any field within the OpenAPI specification (such as info.description), they can break out of the JSON context and execute arbitrary JavaScript when a user views the generated API documentation. This issue has been patched in version 1.13.9.

Lucee CFML Server versions across the 5.3.x, 6.1.x, 6.2.x, and 7.0.x release lines contain a reflected cross-site scripting vulnerability in URL path parsing that allows unauthenticated remote attackers to execute arbitrary JavaScript in a victim's browser by embedding HTML or JavaScript payloads within the request path. Attackers can craft a malicious URL containing injected script content that is reflected in the server's response without proper output encoding, enabling session hijacking or unauthorized actions against the Lucee administrative interface when a victim visits the crafted link.
Emlog is an open source website building system. A cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in emlog up to and including pro-2.5.17 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the keyword parameter. Due to lack of sanitization it is possible to inject HTML/JS code into keyword parameter. If one persuades an user into clicking into prepared link it is possible to execute any JS code in admin's browser. As of time of publication, no known patched versions exist.
Karakeep is a elf-hostable bookmark-everything app. In version 0.30.0, when the Reddit metascraper plugin returns `readableContentHtml`, the HTML parsing subprocess uses it directly without running it through DOMPurify. Every other content source in the crawler goes through Readability + DOMPurify, but the Reddit path skips both. Since this content ends up in `dangerouslySetInnerHTML` in the reader view, any malicious HTML in the Reddit response gets executed in the user's browser. Version 0.31.0 contains a patch for this issue.
A vulnerability was found in code-projects Hostel Management Site 1.0. It has been declared as problematic. This vulnerability affects unknown code of the file room-details.php. Flowise before 3.0.5 allows XSS via a FORM element and an INPUT element when an admin views the chat log.
oxyno-zeta/s3-proxy is an aws s3 proxy written in go. In affected versions a Reflected Cross-site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability enables attackers to create malicious URLs that, when visited, inject scripts into the web application. This can lead to session hijacking or phishing attacks on a trusted domain, posing a moderate risk to all users. It's possible to inject html elements, including scripts through the folder-list template. The affected template allows users to interact with the URL path provided by the `Request.URL.Path` variable, which is then rendered directly into the HTML without proper sanitization or escaping. This can be abused by attackers who craft a malicious URL containing injected HTML or JavaScript. When users visit such a URL, the malicious script will be executed in the user's context. This issue has been addressed in version 4.18.1 and all users are advised to upgrade. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability.
