Cross-site Scripting in the tag name pattern field in the tag protections UI in GitHub Enterprise Server allows a malicious website that requires user interaction and social engineering to make changes to a user account via CSP bypass with created CSRF tokens. This vulnerability affected all versions of GitHub Enterprise Server prior to 3.12 and was fixed in all versions of 3.11.5, 3.10.7, 3.9.10, and 3.8.15. This vulnerability was reported via the GitHub Bug Bounty program.
An improper neutralization of input vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allowed DOM-based cross-site scripting via task list content. The task list content extraction logic did not properly re-encode browser-decoded text nodes before rendering, allowing user-supplied HTML to be injected into the page. An authenticated attacker could craft malicious task list items in issues or pull requests to execute arbitrary scripts in the context of another user's browser session. This vulnerability affected all versions of GitHub Enterprise Server prior to 3.20 and was fixed in versions 3.18.6 and 3.19.3. This vulnerability was reported via the GitHub Bug Bounty program.
A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allowed an authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary JavaScript in another user's browser by injecting a crafted payload into the title of a Discussion in the Q&A category. The AnsweredQuestionStructuredDataComponent did not escape user-controlled Discussion titles before embedding them in a <script type="application/ld+json"> block, allowing the title to break out of the script context. The injection was escalated to a full cross-site scripting attack on GitHub Enterprise Server by leveraging JSONP callback support in the REST API to bypass the Content Security Policy. This vulnerability affected all versions of GitHub Enterprise Server prior to 3.21 and was fixed in versions 3.20.4, 3.19.8, 3.18.11, 3.17.17, 3.16.20. This vulnerability was reported via the GitHub Bug Bounty program.
A stored XSS vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allowed the injection of arbitrary attributes. This injection was blocked by Github's Content Security Policy (CSP). This vulnerability affected all versions of GitHub Enterprise Server prior to 3.6 and was fixed in versions 3.3.11, 3.4.6 and 3.5.3. This vulnerability was reported via the GitHub Bug Bounty program.
VIewComponent is a framework for building view components in Ruby on Rails. Versions prior to 2.31.2 and 2.49.1 contain a cross-site scripting vulnerability that has the potential to impact anyone using translations with the view_component gem. Data received via user input and passed as an interpolation argument to the `translate` method is not properly sanitized before display. Versions 2.31.2 and 2.49.1 have been released and fully mitigate the vulnerability. As a workaround, avoid passing user input to the `translate` function, or sanitize the inputs before passing them.
A reflected HTML injection vulnerability was identified in the GitHub Enterprise Server Management Console login page that could allow credential theft. The redirect_to query parameter on the /setup/unlock endpoint was reflected into an HTML attribute without proper sanitization, enabling an attacker to inject a form element that could capture administrator credentials. Exploitation required an administrator to click a crafted link and enter their credentials. This vulnerability affected GitHub Enterprise Server versions 3.19.1 through 3.19.5 and 3.20.0 through 3.20.1, and was fixed in versions 3.19.6 and 3.20.2. This vulnerability was reported via the GitHub Bug Bounty program.
An Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allowed attacker controlled HTML to be rendered by the Filter component (search) across GitHub that could be used to exfiltrate sensitive information. An attacker would require permissions to create or modify the names of milestones, issues, pull requests, or similar entities that are rendered in the vulnerable filter/search components. This vulnerability affected all versions of GitHub Enterprise Server prior to 3.20 and was fixed in versions 3.19.1, and 3.18.2, 3.17.8, 3.16.11, 3.15.15, and 3.14.20. This vulnerability was reported via the GitHub Bug Bounty program.
An improper neutralization of input vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allowed user-supplied HTML to inject DOM elements with IDs that collided with server-initialized data islands. These collisions could overwrite or shadow critical application state objects used by certain Project views, leading to unintended server-side POST requests or other unauthorized backend interactions. Successful exploitation requires an attacker to have access to the target GitHub Enterprise Server instance and to entice a privileged user to view crafted malicious content that includes conflicting HTML elements. This vulnerability affected all versions of GitHub Enterprise Server prior to 3.18.3, 3.17.9, 3.16.12, 3.15.16, and 3.14.21.
An improper neutralization of input vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allows DOM-based cross-site scripting via Issues search label filter that could lead to privilege escalation and unauthorized workflow triggers. Successful exploitation requires an attacker to have access to the target GitHub Enterprise Server instance and to entice a user, while operating in sudo mode, to click on a crafted malicious link to perform actions that require elevated privileges. This vulnerability affected all versions of GitHub Enterprise Server prior to 3.18.1, 3.17.7, 3.16.10, 3.15.14, 3.14.19.
@github/paste-markdown is an npm package for pasting markdown objects. A self Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability exists in the @github/paste-markdown before version 0.3.4. If the clipboard data contains the string `<table>`, a **div** is dynamically created, and the clipboard content is copied into its **innerHTML** property without any sanitization, resulting in improper execution of JavaScript in the browser of the victim (the user who pasted the code). Users directed to copy text from a malicious website and paste it into pages that utilize this library are affected. This is fixed in version 0.3.4. Refer the to the referenced GitHub Advisory for more details including an example exploit.
An improper neutralization of input vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allowed cross-site scripting in GitHub Markdown that used `$$..$$` math blocks. Exploitation required access to the target GitHub Enterprise Server instance and privileged user interaction with the malicious elements. This vulnerability affected version 3.16.1 of GitHub Enterprise Server and was fixed in version 3.16.2. This vulnerability was reported via the GitHub Bug Bounty program.
A Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability was identified in the repository transfer feature of GitHub Enterprise Server, which allows attackers to steal sensitive user information via social engineering. This vulnerability affected all versions of GitHub Enterprise Server and was fixed in version 3.10.17, 3.11.15, 3.12.9, 3.13.4, and 3.14.1. SAP NWBC for HTML - versions SAP_UI 754, SAP_UI 755, SAP_UI 756, SAP_UI 757, SAP_BASIS 700, SAP_BASIS 701, SAP_BASIS 702, SAP_BASIS 731, does not sufficiently encode user-controlled inputs, resulting in Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability. An unauthenticated attacker can inject malicious javascript to cause limited impact to confidentiality and integrity of the application data after successful exploitation.
This affects versions of the package opencart/opencart from 4.0.0.0. A reflected XSS issue was identified in the filename parameter of the admin tool/log route. An attacker could obtain a user's token by tricking the user to click on a maliciously crafted URL. The user is then prompted to login and redirected again upon authentication with the payload automatically executing. If the attacked user has admin privileges, this vulnerability could be used as the start of a chain of exploits like Zip Slip or arbitrary file write vulnerabilities in the admin functionality. **Notes:** 1) This is only exploitable if the attacker knows the name or path of the admin directory. The name of the directory is "admin" by default but there is a pop-up in the dashboard warning users to rename it. 2) The fix for this vulnerability is incomplete. The redirect is removed so that it is not possible for an attacker to control the redirect post admin login anymore, but it is still possible to exploit this issue in admin if the user is authenticated as an admin already.
This affects versions of the package opencart/opencart from 4.0.0.0 and before 4.1.0.0. A reflected XSS issue was identified in the directory parameter of admin common/filemanager.list route.
The User Registration – Custom Registration Form, Login Form, and User Profile WordPress Plugin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'Display Name' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 3.1.4 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This vulnerability requires social engineering to successfully exploit, and the impact would be very limited due to the attacker requiring a user to login as the user with the injected payload for execution.
The Simple Membership plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'Display Name' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 4.4.2 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping.
The AHAthat Plugin WordPress plugin through 1.6 does not escape the $_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'] parameter before outputting it back in an attribute, which could lead to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting in old web browsers
Service Fabric Explorer Spoofing Vulnerability
A vulnerability was found in kaltura mwEmbed up to 2.91. It has been rated as problematic. The Simple:Press plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via the 'sforum_[md5 hash of the WordPress URL]' cookie value in versions up to, and including, 6.8 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a link. This would be highly complex to exploit as it would require the attacker to set the cookie a cookie for the targeted user.
A reflected cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in the iHistorian Data Display of WorkstationST (<v07.09.15) could allow an attacker to compromise a victim's browser. WorkstationST is only deployed in specific, controlled environments rendering attack complexity significantly higher than if the attack were conducted on the software in isolation. WorkstationST v07.09.15 can be found in ControlST v07.09.07 SP8 and greater.
Adobe Experience Manager Forms JEE versions LTS SP1, 6.5.24.0 and earlier are affected by a reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to inject malicious scripts into a web page, potentially gaining elevated access or control over the victim's account or session. Exploit depends on conditions beyond the attacker's control. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must visit a maliciously crafted URL or interact with a compromised web page. Scope is changed.
Handlebars provides the power necessary to let users build semantic templates. In versions 4.0.0 through 4.7.8, `resolvePartial()` in the Handlebars runtime resolves partial names via a plain property lookup on `options.partials` without guarding against prototype-chain traversal. When `Object.prototype` has been polluted with a string value whose key matches a partial reference in a template, the polluted string is used as the partial body and rendered without HTML escaping, resulting in reflected or stored XSS. Version 4.7.9 fixes the issue. Some workarounds are available. Apply `Object.freeze(Object.prototype)` early in application startup to prevent prototype pollution. Note: this may break other libraries, and/or use the Handlebars runtime-only build (`handlebars/runtime`), which does not compile templates and reduces the attack surface.
DiceBear is an avatar library for designers and developers. Starting in version 5.0.0 and prior to versions 5.4.4, 6.1.4, 7.1.4, 8.0.3, and 9.4.1, SVG attribute values derived from user-supplied options (`backgroundColor`, `fontFamily`, `textColor`) were not XML-escaped before interpolation into SVG output. This could allow Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) when applications pass untrusted input to `createAvatar()` and serve the resulting SVG inline or with `Content-Type: image/svg+xml`. Starting in versions 5.4.4, 6.1.4, 7.1.4, 8.0.3, and 9.4.1, all affected SVG attribute values are properly escaped using XML entity encoding. Users should upgrade to the listed patched versions. Some mitigating factors limit vulnerability. Applications that validate input against the library's JSON Schema before passing it to `createAvatar()` are not affected. The DiceBear CLI validates input via AJV and was not vulnerable. Exploitation requires that an application passes untrusted, unvalidated external input directly as option values.
Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ("Cross-site Scripting") vulnerability in Drupal Anti-Spam by CleanTalk allows Cross-Site Scripting (XSS).This issue affects Anti-Spam by CleanTalk: from 0.0.0 before 9.7.0.
The Open User Map PRO plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'oum_location_notification' parameter in versions up to, and including, 1.4.31 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. CKEditor 5 is a JavaScript rich text editor. A cross-site scripting vulnerability has been discovered affecting three optional CKEditor 5's packages in versions prior to 35.0.1. The vulnerability allowed to trigger a JavaScript code after fulfilling special conditions. The affected packages are `@ckeditor/ckeditor5-markdown-gfm`, `@ckeditor/ckeditor5-html-support`, and `@ckeditor/ckeditor5-html-embed`. The specific conditions are 1) Using one of the affected packages. In case of `ckeditor5-html-support` and `ckeditor5-html-embed`, additionally, it was required to use a configuration that allows unsafe markup inside the editor. 2) Destroying the editor instance and 3) Initializing the editor on an element and using an element other than `<textarea>` as a base. The root cause of the issue was a mechanism responsible for updating the source element with the markup coming from the CKEditor 5 data pipeline after destroying the editor. This vulnerability might affect a small percent of integrators that depend on dynamic editor initialization/destroy and use Markdown, General HTML Support or HTML embed features. The problem has been recognized and patched. The fix is available in version 35.0.1. There are no known workarounds for this issue.
Due to a reflected cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP (Applications based on Business Server Pages), an unauthenticated attacker could craft a URL that exploits an unprotected URL parameter to embed a malicious script. If a victim clicks the link, the injected input is processed during web page generation, resulting in the execution of malicious content in the victims browser context. This could allow the attacker to access and/or modify information, impacting the confidentiality and integrity of the application, with no impact to availability.
Blesta 3.x through 5.x before 5.13.3 mishandles input validation, aka CORE-5665.
Hono is a Web application framework that provides support for any JavaScript runtime. Prior to version 4.11.7, a Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in the `ErrorBoundary` component of the hono/jsx library. Under certain usage patterns, untrusted user-controlled strings may be rendered as raw HTML, allowing arbitrary script execution in the victim's browser. Version 4.11.7 patches the issue.
Termix is a web-based server management platform with SSH terminal, tunneling, and file editing capabilities. From 1.7.0 to 1.9.0, Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in the Termix File Manager component. The application fails to sanitize SVG file content before rendering it. This allows an attacker who has compromised a managed SSH server to plant a malicious file, which, when previewed by the Termix user, executes arbitrary JavaScript in the context of the application. The vulnerability is located in src/ui/desktop/apps/file-manager/components/FileViewer.tsx. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.10.0.
Inappropriate implementation in Views in Google Chrome on Linux prior to 149.0.7827.155 allowed a remote attacker who had compromised the renderer process to inject arbitrary scripts or HTML (UXSS) via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High)
The All-in-One WP Migration WordPress plugin before 7.63 uses the wrong content type, and does not properly escape the response from the ai1wm_export AJAX action, allowing an attacker to craft a request that when submitted by any visitor will inject arbitrary html or javascript into the response that will be executed in the victims session. Note: This requires knowledge of a static secret key
A Reflected Cross Site Scripting flaw was found in all pki-core 10.x.x versions module from the pki-core server due to the CA Agent Service not properly sanitizing the certificate request page. An attacker could inject a specially crafted value that will be executed on the victim's browser.

There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability.
A Stored HTML Injection vulnerability was discovered in the Time Machine Snapshot Diff functionality due to improper validation of network traffic data. An unauthenticated attacker can send specially crafted network packets at two different times to inject HTML tags into asset attributes across two snapshots. Exploitation requires a victim to use the Time Machine Snapshot Diff feature on those specific snapshots and perform specific GUI actions, at which point the injected HTML renders in their browser, enabling phishing and open redirect attacks. Full XSS exploitation is prevented by input validation and Content Security Policy. Attack complexity is high due to multiple required conditions.
A vulnerability has been identified in SINEC NMS (All versions < V2.0). The affected application improperly sanitizes certain SNMP configuration data retrieved from monitored devices. An attacker with access to a monitored device could prepare a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) attack that may lead to unintentional modification of application data by legitimate users.
The Order Tracking Pro plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the order status parameter in versions up to, and including, 3.3.6 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers (admin or higher) to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a link. This only affects multi-site installations and installations where unfiltered_html has been disabled.
A vulnerability was found in Travelmate Travelable Trek Management Solution 1.0. It has been rated as problematic. WWBN AVideo is an open source video platform. Versions 29.0 and below contain a stored Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability in the YouTubeAPI plugin. The plugin renders the snippet.title field returned by the YouTube Data API into the homepage gallery markup with no HTML encoding. The title is set by the YouTube video uploader (anyone in the world) and is treated by AVideo as trusted content. A YouTube uploader who controls a video matching the operator's configured query injects HTML into the AVideo homepage by setting their video's title to a JavaScript-bearing string; the payload then executes in the browser of every visitor who loads any page that renders the gallery. When the visitor is an AVideo administrator, the injected JavaScript performs any admin action (create user, promote to admin, change configuration, install plugin) that uses cookie-based authentication without an additional CSRF token, escalating the bug into full administrative takeover. The payload persists for the duration of cacheTimeout (default 3600 seconds) after the malicious title is set on YouTube and survives YouTube removing the hostile video for the same window. This issue has been addressed by commit https://github.com/WWBN/AVideo/commit/7292129eaee5f609beae103b5cb387d55f17b877.
