view_component is a framework for building reusable, testable, and encapsulated view components in Ruby on Rails. Versions prior to 3.9.0 and 2.83.0 have a cross-site scripting vulnerability that has the potential to impact anyone rendering a component directly from a controller with the view_component gem. Note that only components that define a `#call` method (i.e. instead of using a sidecar template) are affected. The return value of the `#call` method is not sanitized and can include user-defined content. In addition, the return value of the `#output_postamble` methodis not sanitized, which can also lead to cross-site scripting issues. Versions 3.9.0 and 2.83.0 have been released and fully mitigate both the `#call` and the `#output_postamble` vulnerabilities. As a workaround, sanitize the return value of `#call`.
An issue has been discovered in GitLab CE/EE affecting all versions starting from 16.7 to 16.8.6 all versions starting from 16.9 before 16.9.4, all versions starting from 16.10 before 16.10.2. Using the autocomplete for issues references feature a crafted payload may lead to a stored XSS, allowing attackers to perform arbitrary actions on behalf of victims.
This High severity Stored XSS vulnerability was introduced in versions 7.13 of Confluence Data Center and Server. This Stored XSS vulnerability, with a CVSS Score of 7.3, allows an authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary HTML or JavaScript code on a victims browser which has high impact to confidentiality, high impact to integrity, no impact to availability, and requires user interaction. Atlassian recommends that Confluence Data Center and Server customers upgrade to latest version, if you are unable to do so, upgrade your instance to one of the specified supported fixed versions listed on this CVE See the release notes (https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/confluence-release-notes-327.html). You can download the latest version of Confluence Data Center and Server from the download center (https://www.atlassian.com/software/confluence/download-archives). This vulnerability was reported via our Bug Bounty program.
n8n is a workflow automation platform. From 1.77.0 to before 1.98.2, a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability was identified in n8n, specifically in the Form Trigger node's HTML form element. An authenticated attacker can inject malicious HTML via an <iframe> with a srcdoc payload that includes arbitrary JavaScript execution. The attacker can also inject malicious Javascript by using <video> coupled <source> using an onerror event. While using iframe or a combination of video and source tag, this vulnerability allows for Account Takeover (ATO) by exfiltrating n8n-browserId and session cookies from authenticated users who visit a maliciously crafted form. Using these tokens and cookies, an attacker can impersonate the victim and change account details such as email addresses, enabling full control over the account—especially if 2FA is not enabled. Users should upgrade to version >= 1.98.2.
An issue has been discovered in GitLab CE/EE affecting all versions starting from 15.11 before 15.11.7, all versions starting from 16.0 before 16.0.2. A specially crafted merge request could lead to a stored XSS on the client side which allows attackers to perform arbitrary actions on behalf of victims.
NukeViet CMS is a multi Content Management System. Versions 4.5.07 and prior contain a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability caused by insufficient server-side input sanitization in the Request class. The application relies primarily on client-side filtering to sanitize HTML tags and attributes in user-submitted content, which can be bypassed by intercepting and modifying HTTP requests directly (e.g., using Burp Suite). An attacker can inject malicious payloads which are stored server-side and executed in the browser of any user who views the content. Anyone viewing user-submitted content (such as administrators and moderators reviewing contact messages or comments) is impacted, and the vulnerability can be exploited by any anonymous visitor without authentication, with the Contact module used only as a proof of concept. Potential consequences include session hijacking through cookie theft, unauthorized actions performed under the victim's identity, defacement or redirection to phishing pages, and phishing attacks via manipulated email notifications. This issue has been fixed in version 4.5.08. If developers are unable to upgrade immediately, they should work around this issue by implementing server-side HTML sanitization in the Request class to strip or encode dangerous tags and attributes (e.g., <iframe>, srcdoc, event handlers like onerror/onload), enforcing a Content Security Policy (CSP) to restrict inline script execution, and set cookies with the HttpOnly flag to mitigate cookie theft via XSS.
A stored Cross-site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting Results Analytics in Multidisciplinary Optimization Engineer from Release 3DEXPERIENCE R2022x through Release 3DEXPERIENCE R2024x allows an attacker to execute arbitrary script code in user's browser session.
An issue has been discovered in GitLab CE/EE affecting all versions starting from 16.9 before 16.9.1. A crafted payload added to the user profile page could lead to a stored XSS on the client side, allowing attackers to perform arbitrary actions on behalf of victims."
A stored Cross-site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting ENOVIA Collaborative Industry Innovator from Release 3DEXPERIENCE R2022x through Release 3DEXPERIENCE R2024x allows an attacker to execute arbitrary script code in user's browser session.

A stored Cross-site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting ENOVIA Collaborative Industry Innovator on Release 3DEXPERIENCE R2024x allows an attacker to execute arbitrary script code in user's browser session.
A stored Cross-site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting ENOVIA Collaborative Industry Innovator on Release 3DEXPERIENCE R2024x allows an attacker to execute arbitrary script code in user's browser session.
pretalx is a conference planning tool. Prior to 2026.1.0, The organiser search in the pretalx backend rendered submission titles, speaker display names, and user names/emails into the result dropdown using innerHTML string interpolation. Any user who controls one of those fields (which includes any registered user whose display name is looked up by an administrator) could include HTML or JavaScript that would execute in an organiser's browser when the organiser's search query matched the malicious record. This vulnerability is fixed in 2026.1.0.
Brave CMS is an open-source CMS. Prior to commit 6c56603, page and article body content entered through the CKEditor rich-text editor is stored verbatim in the database and subsequently rendered with Laravel Blade's unescaped output directive {!! !!}. Any JavaScript or HTML injected by an editor-role user is permanently stored and executed in every visitor's browser upon page load. This issue has been patched via commit 6c56603.
In Splunk Enterprise 9.0 versions before 9.0.4, a View allows for Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) through the error message in a Base64-encoded image. The vulnerability affects instances with Splunk Web enabled. It does not affect Splunk Enterprise versions below 9.0.
An issue has been discovered in GitLab affecting all versions starting from 13.7 before 15.7.8, all versions starting from 15.8 before 15.8.4, all versions starting from 15.9 before 15.9.2. A specially crafted Kroki diagram could lead to a stored XSS on the client side which allows attackers to perform arbitrary actions on behalf of victims.
Ajax.NET Professional (AjaxPro) is an AJAX framework available for Microsoft ASP.NET. Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to JavaScript object injection which may result in cross site scripting when leveraged by a malicious user. The affected core relates to JavaScript object creation when parsing json input. Releases before version 21.12.22.1 are affected. A workaround exists that replaces one of the core JavaScript files embedded in the library. See the GHSA-5q7q-qqw2-hjq7 for workaround details.
Note Mark is an open-source note-taking application. In versions 0.19.1 and prior, the asset delivery handler serves uploaded files inline and relies on magic-byte detection for content type, which does not identify text-based formats such as HTML, SVG, or XHTML. These files are served with an empty Content-Type, no X-Content-Type-Options: nosniff header, and inline disposition, allowing browsers to sniff and render active content. An authenticated user can upload an HTML or SVG file containing JavaScript as a note asset, and when a victim navigates to the asset URL, the script executes under the application's origin with access to the victim's authenticated session and API actions. This issue has been fixed in version 0.19.2.
<p>This vulnerability is caused when SharePoint Server does not properly sanitize a specially crafted request to an affected SharePoint server.</p> <p>An authenticated attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a specially crafted request to an affected SharePoint server. The attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability could then perform cross-site scripting attacks on affected systems and run script in the security context of the current user. These attacks could allow the attacker to read content that the attacker is not authorized to read, use the victim's identity to take actions on the SharePoint site on behalf of the victim, such as change permissions, delete content, steal sensitive information (such as browser cookies) and inject malicious content in the browser of the victim.</p> <p>For this vulnerability to be exploited, a user must click a specially crafted URL that takes the user to a targeted SharePoint Web App site.</p> <p>In an email attack scenario, an attacker could exploit the vulnerability by sending an email message containing the specially crafted URL to the user of the targeted SharePoint Web App site and convincing the user to click the specially crafted URL.</p> <p>In a web-based attack scenario, an attacker would have to host a website that contains a specially crafted URL to the targeted SharePoint Web App site that is used to attempt to exploit these vulnerabilities. In addition, compromised websites and websites that accept or host user-provided content could contain specially crafted content that could exploit the vulnerability. An attacker would have no way to force users to visit a specially crafted website. Instead, an attacker would have to convince them to visit the website, typically by getting them to click a link in an instant messenger or email message that takes them to the attacker's website, and then convince them to click the specially crafted URL.</p> <p>The security update addresses the vulnerability by helping to ensure that SharePoint Server properly sanitizes user web requests.</p>
A vulnerability in the web-based management interface of Aruba EdgeConnect Enterprise Orchestrator could allow an authenticated remote attacker to conduct a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) attack against an administrative user of the interface. A successful exploit allows an attacker to execute arbitrary script code in a victim's browser in the context of the affected interface in Aruba EdgeConnect Enterprise Orchestration Software version(s): Aruba EdgeConnect Enterprise Orchestrator (on-premises), Aruba EdgeConnect Enterprise Orchestrator-as-a-Service, Aruba EdgeConnect Enterprise Orchestrator-SP and Aruba EdgeConnect Enterprise Orchestrator Global Enterprise Tenant Orchestrators - Orchestrator 9.2.1.40179 and below, - Orchestrator 9.1.4.40436 and below, - Orchestrator 9.0.7.40110 and below, - Orchestrator 8.10.23.40015 and below, - Any older branches of Orchestrator not specifically mentioned.
ApostropheCMS is an open-source Node.js content management system. Versions 4.28.0 and prior contain a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability in SEO-related fields (SEO Title and Meta Description), where user-controlled input is rendered without proper output encoding into HTML contexts including <title> tags, <meta> attributes, and JSON-LD structured data. An attacker can inject a payload such as "></title><script>alert(1)</script> to break out of the intended HTML context and execute arbitrary JavaScript in the browser of any authenticated user who views the affected page. This can be leveraged to perform authenticated API requests, access sensitive data such as usernames, email addresses, and roles via internal APIs, and exfiltrate it to an attacker-controlled server. This issue has been fixed in version 4.29.0.
The affected product DIAEnergie (versions prior to v1.9.01.002) is vulnerable to a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability through the PutLineMessageSetting API.
ChurchCRM is an open-source church management system. Prior to 6.5.3, a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability in ChurchCRM's Note Editor allows authenticated users with note-adding permissions to execute arbitrary JavaScript code in the context of other users' browsers, including administrators. This can lead to session hijacking, privilege escalation, and unauthorized access to sensitive church member data. This vulnerability is fixed in 6.5.3.
ChurchCRM is an open-source church management system. Prior to 7.0.0, a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in ChurchCRM within the Person Property Management subsystem. This issue persists in versions patched for CVE-2023-38766 and allows an authenticated user to inject arbitrary JavaScript code via dynamically assigned person properties. The malicious payload is persistently stored and executed when other users view the affected person profile or access the printable view, potentially leading to session hijacking or full account compromise. This vulnerability is fixed in 7.0.0.
ChurchCRM is an open-source church management system. Prior to 7.1.0, he FindFundRaiser.php endpoint reflects user-supplied input (DateStart and DateEnd) into HTML input field attributes without proper output encoding for the HTML attribute context. An authenticated attacker can craft a malicious URL that executes arbitrary JavaScript when visited by another authenticated user. This constitutes a reflected XSS vulnerability. This vulnerability is fixed in 7.1.0.
The affected product DIAEnergie (versions prior to v1.9.01.002) is vulnerable to a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability through the PostEnergyType API.
ChurchCRM is an open-source church management system. Prior to 7.1.0, a reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability in GeoPage.php allows any authenticated user to inject arbitrary JavaScript into the browser of another authenticated user. Because the payload fires automatically via autofocus with no user interaction required, an attacker can steal session cookies and fully take over any victim account, including administrator accounts, by tricking them into submitting a crafted form. This vulnerability is fixed in 7.1.0.
Payload is a free and open source headless content management system. Prior to version 3.78.0 in @payloadcms/next, a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability existed in the admin panel. An authenticated user with write access to a collection could save content that, when viewed by another user, would execute in their browser. This issue has been patched in version 3.78.0.
Adobe Commerce versions 2.4.9-beta1, 2.4.8-p4, 2.4.7-p9, 2.4.6-p14, 2.4.5-p16, 2.4.4-p17 and earlier are affected by a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability that could be abused by a low-privileged attacker to inject malicious scripts into vulnerable form fields. Malicious JavaScript may be executed in a victim's browser when they browse to the page containing the vulnerable field, potentially gaining elevated access or control over the victim's account or session. Scope is changed.
OpenEMR is a free and open source electronic health records and medical practice management application. Prior to 8.0.0.2, a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the patient portal payment flow allows a patient portal user to persist arbitrary JavaScript that executes in the browser of a staff member who reviews the payment submission. The payload is stored via `portal/lib/paylib.php` and rendered without escaping in `portal/portal_payment.php`. Version 8.0.0.2 fixes the issue.
CI4MS is a CodeIgniter 4-based content management system skeleton. Prior to version 0.31.9.0, the `Pages` backend module registers the `html_purify` validation rule on language-keyed page content but persists the raw, un-purified POST value into the database. The public renderer for pages (`Home::index()` → `app/Views/templates/default/pages.php`) emits `$pageInfo->content` without `esc()`, yielding stored XSS that fires for every public visitor of the affected page — including administrators. Because pages may be promoted to the site home page, the payload can be served at `/` and reach every visitor of the site. Version 0.31.9.0 patches the issue.
Connect-CMS is a content management system. In versions 1.35.0 through 1.41.0 and 2.35.0 through 2.41.0, a DOM-based Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) issue exists in the Cabinet Plugin list view. Versions 1.41.1 and 2.41.1 contain a patch.
Gitea versions from 1.25.0 before 1.26.0 allow stored cross-site scripting through the extensionsRequired field in glTF files rendered by the 3D file viewer.
Multiple Stored XSS vulnerabilities exist in Seafile Server version 13.0.15,13.0.16-pro,12.0.14 and prior and fixed in 13.0.17, 13.0.17-pro, and 12.0.20-pro, via the Seadoc (sdoc) editor. The application fails to properly sanitize WebSocket messages regarding document structure updates. This allows authenticated remote attackers to inject malicious JavaScript payloads via the src attribute of embedded Excalidraw whiteboards or the href attribute of anchor tags
Initiative is a self-hosted project management platform. Versions of the application prior to 0.32.4 are vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) in the document upload functionality. Any user with upload permissions within the "Initiatives" section can upload a malicious `.html` or `.htm` file as a document. Because the uploaded HTML file is served under the application's origin without proper sandboxing, the embedded JavaScript executes in the context of the application. As a result, authentication tokens, session cookies, or other sensitive data can be exfiltrated to an attacker-controlled server. Additionally, since the uploaded file is hosted under the application's domain, simply sharing the direct file link may result in execution of the malicious script when accessed. Version 0.32.4 fixes the issue.
Gokapi is a self-hosted file sharing server with automatic expiration and encryption support. Prior to version 2.2.3, if a malicious authenticated user uploads SVG and creates a hotlink for it, they can achieve stored XSS. This issue has been patched in version 2.2.3.
Statmatic is a Laravel and Git powered content management system (CMS). Prior to versions 5.73.11 and 6.4.0, stored XSS vulnerability in svg and icon related components allow authenticated users with appropriate permissions to inject malicious JavaScript that executes when viewed by higher-privileged users. This has been fixed in 5.73.11 and 6.4.0.
osctrl is an osquery management solution. Prior to version 0.5.0, a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in the `osctrl-admin` on-demand query list. A user with query-level permissions can inject arbitrary JavaScript via the query parameter when running an on-demand query. The payload is stored and executes in the browser of any user (including administrators) who visits the query list page. This can be chained with CSRF token extraction to escalate privileges and take actions as the logged in user. An attacker with query-level permissions (the lowest privilege tier) can execute arbitrary JavaScript in the browsers of all users who view the query list. Depending on their level of access, it can lead to full platform compromise if an administrator executes the payload. The issue is fixed in osctrl `v0.5.0`. As a workaround, restrict query-level permissions to trusted users, monitor query list for suspicious payloads, and/or review osctrl user accounts for unauthorized administrators.
Grafana is an open-source platform for monitoring and observability. Versions on the 8.x and 9.x branch prior to 9.0.3, 8.5.9, 8.4.10, and 8.3.10 are vulnerable to stored cross-site scripting via the Unified Alerting feature of Grafana. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability to escalate privilege from editor to admin by tricking an authenticated admin to click on a link. Versions 9.0.3, 8.5.9, 8.4.10, and 8.3.10 contain a patch. As a workaround, it is possible to disable alerting or use legacy alerting.
Gogs is an open source self-hosted Git service. Prior to version 0.14.2, a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in the comment and issue description functionality. The application's HTML sanitizer explicitly allows data: URI schemes, enabling authenticated users to inject arbitrary JavaScript execution via malicious links. This issue has been patched in version 0.14.2.
Versions of the Traccar open-source GPS tracking system starting with 6.11.1 contain an issue in which authenticated users can execute arbitrary JavaScript in the context of other users' browsers by uploading malicious SVG files as device images. The application accepts SVG file uploads without sanitization and serves them with the `image/svg+xml` Content-Type, allowing embedded JavaScript to execute when victims view the image. As of time of publication, it is unclear whether a fix is available.
Statmatic is a Laravel and Git powered content management system (CMS). From 6.0.0 to before 6.2.3, a stored XSS vulnerability in content titles allows authenticated users with content creation permissions to inject malicious JavaScript that executes when viewed by higher-privileged users. Malicious user must have an account with control panel access and content creation permissions. This vulnerability can be exploited to allow super admin accounts to be created. This has been fixed in 6.2.3.
OpenProject is an open-source, web-based project management software. Versions 16.3.0 through 16.6.4 are affected by a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability in the Roadmap view. OpenProject’s roadmap view renders the “Related work packages” list for each version. When a version contains work packages from a different project (e.g., a subproject), the helper link_to_work_package prepends package.project.to_s to the link and returns the entire string with .html_safe. Because project names are user-controlled and no escaping happens before calling html_safe, any HTML placed in a subproject name is injected verbatim into the page. The underlying issue is mitigated in versions 16.6.5 and 17.0.0 by setting a `X-Content-Type-Options: nosniff` header, which was in place until a refactoring move to Rails standard content-security policy, which did not properly apply this header in the new configuration since OpenProject 16.3.0. Those who cannot upgrade their installations should ensure that they add a X-Content-Type-Options: nosniff header in their proxying web application server.
The Open eClass platform (formerly known as GUnet eClass) is a complete course management system. Prior to version 4.2, a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability allows authenticated students to inject malicious JavaScript into uploaded assignment files, which is executed when instructors view the submission. This issue has been patched in version 4.2.
LaSuite Doc is a collaborative note taking, wiki and documentation platform. From 3.8.0 to 4.3.0, a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in the Interlinking feature. When a user creates a link to another document within the editor, the URL of that link is not validated. An attacker with document editing privileges can inject a malicious javascript: URL that executes arbitrary code when other users click on the link. This vulnerability is fixed in 4.4.0.
FriendsofFlarum (FoF) Upload is an extension that handles file uploads intelligently for your forum. If FoF Upload prior to version 1.2.3 is configured to allow the uploading of SVG files ('image/svg+xml'), navigating directly to an SVG file URI could execute arbitrary Javascript code decided by an attacker. This Javascript code could include the execution of HTTP web requests to Flarum, or any other web service. This could allow data to be leaked by an authenticated Flarum user, or, possibly, for data to be modified maliciously. This issue has been patched with v1.2.3, which now sanitizes uploaded SVG files. As a workaround, remove the ability for users to upload SVG files through FoF Upload.
In Open VSX Registry before 1.0.2, the /vscode/unpkg/ endpoint serves user-supplied HTML files with Content-Type: text/html and without a Content-Security-Policy or Content-Disposition: attachment response header. An unauthenticated attacker can register a publisher account, upload a VSIX containing a crafted HTML payload, and induce an authenticated user to visit the resulting URL. The browser renders the file inline in the open-vsx.org origin context, enabling session token exfiltration, persistent Personal Access Token (PAT) generation, and unauthorized publication of malicious extension versions. Because Open VSX extensions are distributed to VS Code, VSCodium, Cursor, Windsurf, and compatible editors, a compromised extension update constitutes a supply chain attack against all downstream users.
GitLab has remediated an issue in GitLab CE/EE affecting all versions from 10.6 before 18.7.6, 18.8 before 18.8.6, and 18.9 before 18.9.2 that could have allowed an authenticated user, when the `markdown_placeholders` feature flag was enabled, to inject JavaScript in a browser due to improper sanitization of placeholder content in markdown processing.
GitLab has remediated an issue in GitLab EE affecting all versions from 17.1 before 18.10.8, 18.11 before 18.11.5, and 19.0 before 19.0.2 that under certain conditions could have allowed an authenticated user with developer-role permissions to execute arbitrary client-side code on behalf of a targeted user due to improper input sanitization in the Analytics Dashboard.
GitLab has remediated an issue in GitLab EE affecting all versions from 16.4 before 18.11.6, 19.0 before 19.0.3, and 19.1 before 19.1.1 that under certain conditions could have allowed an authenticated user with developer-role permissions to execute arbitrary client-side code in the context of another user's session, due to improper sanitization of user-supplied input.
