The affected products perform improper length checking when parsing incoming HTTP requests, resulting in a size-limited out-of-bounds write. An unauthenticated remote attacker can exploit this flaw to cause a denial of service via a system crash on the affected device.
A denial of service attack might be launched against the server if an unusually lengthy password (more than 10000000 characters) is supplied using the osTicket application. This can cause the website to go down or stop responding. When a long password is entered, this procedure will consume all available CPU and memory.
A vulnerability was discovered in Samsung Mobile Processors Exynos 2200 and Exynos 2400 where they lack a check for the validation of native handles, which can result in a DoS(Denial of Service) attack by unmapping an invalid length.
The Erlang/OTP ssl application does not validate that the PSK identity list and binder list carried in a TLS 1.3 ClientHello pre-shared key extension have equal length before passing them to the session ticket handler. In tls_handshake_1_3:handle_pre_shared_key/3, an OfferedPreSharedKeys record with a mismatched number of identities and binders is forwarded directly to tls_server_session_ticket:use/4, which crashes the session ticket handler process. An unauthenticated remote attacker can send a single crafted ClientHello to a TLS 1.3 server with session tickets enabled (stateful or stateless mode) and permanently disrupt session ticket handling on that listener. New TLS 1.3 handshakes complete but subsequently crash when the server attempts to issue a session ticket, effectively making TLS 1.3 unusable on the affected listener until the ssl application is restarted. TLS 1.2 connections are not affected. This issue affects OTP from OTP 22.2 before OTP 29.0.3, OTP 28.5.0.3 and OTP 27.3.4.14, corresponding to ssl from 9.5 before 11.7.3, 11.6.0.3 and 11.2.12.10.
A vulnerability was discovered in Samsung Mobile Processors Exynos 850, Exynos 1080, Exynos 2100, Exynos 2200, Exynos 1280, Exynos 1380, Exynos 1330, and Exynos W930 where they do not properly check length of the data, which can lead to a Denial of Service.
An Improper Validation of Specified Quantity in Input vulnerability in the TCP proxy plugin of Juniper Networks Junos OS on MX Series with SPC3, and SRX Series allows an unauthenticated, network-based attacker to cause a complete Denial of Service (DoS). When TCP proxy is engaged in a flow session, to support ALGs, Advanced Anti-Malware, ICAP or UTM, a TCP packet with specifically malformed TCP header will cause flow processing daemon (flowd) to crash and restart. This causes a complete service outage until the system has automatically recovered. This issue affects Junos OS on MX with SPC3, and SRX Series: * 23.4 versions before 23.4R2-S7, * 24.2 versions before 24.2R2-S4, * 24.4 versions before 24.4R2-S3, * 25.2 versions before 25.2R2. This issue does not affect releases before 23.4R1.
vLLM is a high-throughput and memory-efficient inference and serving engine for LLMs. Prior to 0.24.0, a frontend-legal multi-request speculative decoding workload can cause the rejection sampler to produce a recovered token equal to the model vocabulary size boundary value, which is then converted to negative one when the engine selects the next live token for a request and is written back into the drafter's input ids; that out-of-vocabulary value is later consumed by the model's embedding and attention path and crashes the engine worker with a GPU device-side assertion. The same triggering request sequence is reachable through the public gRPC Generate and Abort endpoints, so a remote client that can send generation requests can crash the shared engine worker, aborting concurrent requests and causing a service-wide denial of service for other clients of the deployment until the worker is restarted. This issue is fixed in version 0.24.0.
Improper Validation of Specified Quantity in Input vulnerability in Mitsubishi Electric Corporation CC-Link IE TSN Remote I/O module, CC-Link IE TSN Analog-Digital Converter module, CC-Link IE TSN Digital-Analog Converter module, CC-Link IE TSN FPGA module, CC-Link IE TSN Remote Station Communication LSI CP620 with GbE-PHY, MELSEC iQ-R Series CC-Link IE TSN Master/Local Module, MELSEC iQ-R Series Ethernet Interface Module, CC-Link IE TSN Master/Local Station Communication LSI CP610, MELSEC iQ-F Series FX5 CC-Link IE TSN Master/Local Module, MELSEC iQ-F Series FX5 Ethernet Module, and MELSEC iQ-F Series FX5-ENET/IP Ethernet Module allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to cause a Denial of Service condition in the products by sending specially crafted UDP packets.
NVIDIA Triton Server for Linux contains a vulnerability where an attacker may cause an improper validation of specified quantity in input. A successful exploit of this vulnerability may lead to denial of service.
In libxml2 before 2.13.8 and 2.14.x before 2.14.2, xmlSchemaIDCFillNodeTables in xmlschemas.c has a heap-based buffer under-read. To exploit this, a crafted XML document must be validated against an XML schema with certain identity constraints, or a crafted XML schema must be used.
An Unchecked Input for Loop Condition in RT-Labs P-Net version 1.0.1 or earlier allows an attacker to cause IO devices that use the library to enter an infinite loop by sending a malicious RPC packet.
NamelessMC is a free, easy to use & powerful website software for Minecraft servers. In version 2.1.4 and prior, the s parameter in GET requests for forum search functionality lacks length validation, allowing attackers to submit excessively long search queries. This oversight can lead to performance degradation and potential denial-of-service (DoS) attacks. This issue has been patched in version 2.2.0.
In Modem, there is a possible system crash due to improper input validation. This could lead to remote denial of service with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation. Patch ID: MOLY01231341 / MOLY01263331 / MOLY01233835; Issue ID: MSV-2165.

Binary provides encoding/decoding in Borsh and other formats. The vulnerability is a memory allocation vulnerability that can be exploited to allocate slices in memory with (arbitrary) excessive size value, which can either exhaust available memory or crash the whole program. When using `github.com/gagliardetto/binary` to parse unchecked (or wrong type of) data from untrusted sources of input (e.g. the blockchain) into slices, it's possible to allocate memory with excessive size. When `dec.Decode(&val)` method is used to parse data into a structure that is or contains slices of values, the length of the slice was previously read directly from the data itself without any checks on the size of it, and then a slice was allocated. This could lead to an overflow and an allocation of memory with excessive size value. Users should upgrade to `v0.7.1` or higher. A workaround is not to rely on the `dec.Decode(&val)` function to parse the data, but to use a custom `UnmarshalWithDecoder()` method that reads and checks the length of any slice.
D-link DIR-816 A2_v1.10CNB04, DIR-878 DIR_878_FW1.30B08.img is vulnerable to Buffer Overflow via /goform/addRouting.
The function tee_obj_free in Samsung mTower through 0.3.0 allows a trusted application to trigger a Denial of Service (DoS) by invoking the function TEE_AllocateOperation with a disturbed heap layout, related to utee_cryp_obj_alloc.
ImageMagick is free and open-source software used for editing and manipulating digital images. Prior to versions 6.9.13-48 and 7.1.2-24, a missing check in the DCM decoder could result in an image with invalid dimensions and that could cause crashes in other operation. This issue has been patched in versions 6.9.13-48 and 7.1.2-24.
CImg Library is a C++ library for image processing. Prior to version 4.0.0 in `_load_analyze()`, the header_size field is read as an `unsigned int` from the first 4 bytes of an Analyze/NIfTI file and passed directly to `new unsigned char[header_size]` without being bounded against the actual file size. A value up to ~4 GB is accepted. If the subsequent `fread` returns `short` as it will for any malformed file), the function throws a `CImgIOException` and the allocated buffer is never freed. A 6-byte crafted file is sufficient to trigger an allocation of ~1.3 GB per call, with the full allocation leaked on every error path. The issue is reachable via `load_analyze()` and the generic `load()` when the file extension is .hdr, .img, or .nii. Version 4.0.0 fixes the issue.
Florent Thiéry has found that selected Axis devices were vulnerable to handling certain ethernet frames which could lead to the Axis device becoming unavailable in the network. Axis has released patched AXIS OS versions for the highlighted flaw for products that are still under AXIS OS software support. Please refer to the Axis security advisory for more information and solution.
An issue was discovered in Django 5.0 before 5.0.8 and 4.2 before 4.2.15. The urlize and urlizetrunc template filters, and the AdminURLFieldWidget widget, are subject to a potential denial-of-service attack via certain inputs with a very large number of Unicode characters.
A vulnerability exists in the HCI Modbus TCP function included in the product versions listed above. If the HCI Modbus TCP is en-abled and configured, an attacker could exploit the vulnerability by sending a specially crafted message to the RTU500, causing the receiving RTU500 CMU to reboot. The vulnerability is caused by the validation error in the length information carried in MBAP header in the HCI Modbus TCP function.
Buffer overflow vulnerabilities exist in FRRouting through 8.1.0 due to wrong checks on the input packet length in isisd/isis_tlvs.c.
The RSA and DSA public key parsers did not enforce size limits on key parameters. A crafted public key with an excessively large modulus or DSA parameter could cause several minutes of CPU consumption during signature verification. This could be triggered by unauthenticated clients during public key authentication. RSA moduli are now limited to 8192 bits, and DSA parameters are validated per FIPS 186-2.
Istio is an open platform to connect, manage, and secure microservices. In affected versions the Istio control plane, `istiod`, is vulnerable to a request processing error, allowing a malicious attacker that sends a specially crafted message which results in the control plane crashing. This endpoint is served over TLS port 15012, but does not require any authentication from the attacker. For simple installations, Istiod is typically only reachable from within the cluster, limiting the blast radius. However, for some deployments, especially [multicluster](https://istio.io/latest/docs/setup/install/multicluster/primary-remote/) topologies, this port is exposed over the public internet. There are no effective workarounds, beyond upgrading. Limiting network access to Istiod to the minimal set of clients can help lessen the scope of the vulnerability to some extent.
Improper Input Validation vulnerability exists in the Hitachi Energy MicroSCADA X SYS600's ICCP stack during the ICCP communication establishment causes a denial-of-service when ICCP of SYS600 is request to forward any data item updates with timestamps too distant in the future to any remote ICCP system. By default, ICCP is not configured and not enabled. This issue affects: Hitachi Energy MicroSCADA X SYS600 version 10.2 to version 10.3.1. cpe:2.3:a:hitachienergy:microscada_x_sys600:10.2:*:*:*:*:*:*:* cpe:2.3:a:hitachienergy:microscada_x_sys600:10.2.1:*:*:*:*:*:*:* cpe:2.3:a:hitachienergy:microscada_x_sys600:10.3:*:*:*:*:*:*:* cpe:2.3:a:hitachienergy:microscada_x_sys600:10.3.1:*:*:*:*:*:*:*
The package node-opcua before 2.74.0 are vulnerable to Denial of Service (DoS) due to a missing limitation on the number of received chunks - per single session or in total for all concurrent sessions. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by sending an unlimited number of huge chunks (e.g. 2GB each) without sending the Final closing chunk.
In NLnet Labs Unbound 1.22.0 up to and including 1.25.1, when downstream DNS-over-QUIC (DoQ) is enabled, the first two bidirectional streams on a new QUIC connection (stream_id 0 and 4) bypass the per-stream 'quic-size' gate entirely, and large input buffers are allocated later, after only the 2-byte length prefix has been received from the initial streams. As a result, a remote client can make Unbound exceed the configured 'quic-size' limit with low-cost input. Using only one connection and two streams, each sending a declared 65535-byte length prefix and then holding the streams open, a client can already trivially make Unbound roughly allocate double that amount. This is a remote availability issue / memory-accounting bypass in the downstream DoQ implementation that leads to denial of service for new DoQ clients. This vulnerability needs Unbound to be compiled with DoQ support ('--with-libngtcp2') and the 'quic-port' to be configured for the listening interfaces.
A Business Logic vulnerability exists in SourceCodester Pharmacy Product Management System 1.0 in the add-stock.php file. The application fails to validate the "txtqty" parameter during stock entry, allowing negative values to be processed. This causes the system to decrease the inventory level instead of increasing it, leading to inventory corruption and potential Denial of Service by depleting stock records.
jackson-core contains core low-level incremental ("streaming") parser and generator abstractions used by Jackson Data Processor. From version 3.0.0 to before version 3.1.0, the UTF8DataInputJsonParser, which is used when parsing from a java.io.DataInput source, bypasses the maxNestingDepth constraint (default: 500) defined in StreamReadConstraints. A similar issue was found in ReaderBasedJsonParser. This allows a user to supply a JSON document with excessive nesting, which can cause a StackOverflowError when the structure is processed, leading to a Denial of Service (DoS). This issue has been patched in version 3.1.0.
Crypt::SysRandom::XS versions before 0.010 for Perl is vulnerable to a heap buffer overflow in the XS function random_bytes(). The function does not validate that the length parameter is non-negative. If a negative value (e.g. -1) is supplied, the expression length + 1u causes an integer wraparound, resulting in a zero-byte allocation. The subsequent call to chosen random function (e.g. getrandom) passes the original negative value, which is implicitly converted to a large unsigned value (typically SIZE_MAX). This can result in writes beyond the allocated buffer, leading to heap memory corruption and application crash (denial of service). In common usage, the length argument is typically hardcoded by the caller, which reduces the likelihood of attacker-controlled exploitation. Applications that pass untrusted input to this parameter may be affected.
Conditional Fields for Contact Form 7 WordPress plugin through version 2.7.2 contains an uncontrolled resource consumption vulnerability in the Wpcf7cfMailParser class where the hide_hidden_mail_fields_regex_callback() method reads an iteration count directly from user-supplied POST parameters without validation or upper bound enforcement. Unauthenticated attackers can supply an arbitrarily large integer value through the REST API endpoint to cause unbounded loop execution with multiple preg_replace() operations, exhausting server memory and crashing the PHP process.
Crypt::URandom versions from 0.41 before 0.55 for Perl is vulnerable to a heap buffer overflow in the XS function crypt_urandom_getrandom(). The function does not validate that the length parameter is non-negative. If a negative value (e.g. -1) is supplied, the expression length + 1u causes an integer wraparound, resulting in a zero-byte allocation. The subsequent call to getrandom(data, length, GRND_NONBLOCK) passes the original negative value, which is implicitly converted to a large unsigned value (typically SIZE_MAX).
Multiple denial of service vulnerabilities exist in React Server Components, affecting the following packages: react-server-dom-parcel, react-server-dom-turbopack, react-server-dom-webpack. The vulnerabilities are triggered by sending specially crafted HTTP requests to Server Function endpoints, and could lead to server crashes, out-of-memory exceptions or excessive CPU usage; depending on the vulnerable code path being exercised, the application configuration and application code. Strongly consider upgrading to the latest package versions to reduce risk and prevent availability issues in applications using React Server Components.
This affects versions of the package exifreader before 4.39.0. A crafted image containing an ICC mluc tag can set an attacker-controlled record count together with a zero record size. During parsing, ExifReader repeatedly processes the same record and appends entries to an array without sufficient bounds validation, causing excessive memory growth. In applications that parse attacker-supplied images, this may lead to denial of service through memory exhaustion.
ImpactThe undici WebSocket client is vulnerable to a denial-of-service attack due to improper validation of the server_max_window_bits parameter in the permessage-deflate extension. When a WebSocket client connects to a server, it automatically advertises support for permessage-deflate compression. A malicious server can respond with an out-of-range server_max_window_bits value (outside zlib's valid range of 8-15). When the server subsequently sends a compressed frame, the client attempts to create a zlib InflateRaw instance with the invalid windowBits value, causing a synchronous RangeError exception that is not caught, resulting in immediate process termination. The vulnerability exists because: * The isValidClientWindowBits() function only validates that the value contains ASCII digits, not that it falls within the valid range 8-15 * The createInflateRaw() call is not wrapped in a try-catch block * The resulting exception propagates up through the call stack and crashes the Node.js process
ImpactA server can reply with a WebSocket frame using the 64-bit length form and an extremely large length. undici's ByteParser overflows internal math, ends up in an invalid state, and throws a fatal TypeError that terminates the process. Patches Patched in the undici version v7.24.0 and v6.24.0. Users should upgrade to this version or later.
GitLab has remediated an issue in GitLab CE/EE affecting all versions from 12.10 before 18.8.9, 18.9 before 18.9.5, and 18.10 before 18.10.3 that could have allowed an unauthenticated user to cause denial of service due to improper input validation of JSON payloads.
An issue in Assimp v.6.0.2 allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service via the FBXConverter.cpp and ConvertMeshMultiMaterial() method
An issue in Assimp v.6.0.2 allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service via the FBXParser.cpp, ParseVectorDataArray()
When a BIG-IP Advanced WAF or ASM security policy is configured with a URL greater than 1024 characters in length for the Data Guard Protection Enforcement setting, either manually or through the automatic Policy Builder, the bd process can terminate repeatedly. Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated.
TensorFlow is an open source platform for machine learning. If `ThreadUnsafeUnigramCandidateSampler` is given input `filterbank_channel_count` greater than the allowed max size, TensorFlow will crash. We have patched the issue in GitHub commit 39ec7eaf1428e90c37787e5b3fbd68ebd3c48860. The fix will be included in TensorFlow 2.11. We will also cherrypick this commit on TensorFlow 2.10.1, 2.9.3, and TensorFlow 2.8.4, as these are also affected and still in supported range.
Parse Server is an open source backend that can be deployed to any infrastructure that can run Node.js. Versions prior to 4.10.17, and prior to 5.2.8 on the 5.x branch, crash when a file download request is received with an invalid byte range, resulting in a Denial of Service. This issue has been patched in versions 4.10.17, and 5.2.8. There are no known workarounds.
A vulnerability exists in the input validation of the GOOSE messages where out of range values received and processed by the IED caused a reboot of the device. In order for an attacker to exploit the vulnerability, goose receiving blocks need to be configured.
A potential DoS vulnerability was discovered in Gitlab CE/EE versions 13.7 before 14.7.7, all versions starting from 14.8 before 14.8.5, all versions starting from 14.9 before 14.9.2 allowed an attacker to trigger high CPU usage via a special crafted input added in Issues, Merge requests, Milestones, Snippets, Wiki pages, etc.
In Django 3.2 before 3.2.22, 4.1 before 4.1.12, and 4.2 before 4.2.6, the django.utils.text.Truncator chars() and words() methods (when used with html=True) are subject to a potential DoS (denial of service) attack via certain inputs with very long, potentially malformed HTML text. The chars() and words() methods are used to implement the truncatechars_html and truncatewords_html template filters, which are thus also vulnerable. NOTE: this issue exists because of an incomplete fix for CVE-2019-14232.
