@better-auth/stripe before 1.6.21 Authorization Bypass via Organization Subscription

@better-auth/stripe versions >= 1.4.11 and < 1.6.21, and >= 1.7.0-beta.0 and < 1.7.0-beta.10, contain an authorization bypass in organization subscription actions. The middleware validates the organization ID taken from the request query string against the authorizeReference callback, but the handler reads the organization ID only from the request body and falls back to the caller's active organization from their session. When these differ, an authenticated member of multiple organizations can perform subscription actions (cancel, change plan, restore, billing portal access) against an organization they belong to but should not manage, and can access another organization's billing details including payment methods, invoices, and subscription state.

Better Auth: Privilege escalation via SSO provider registration: missing admin role check in @better-auth/sso

Better Auth is an authentication and authorization library for TypeScript. From 1.2.10 until 1.6.11, the @better-auth/sso plugin's POST /sso/register endpoint lets any organization member attach a new SSO provider to that organization because registerSSOProvider checks only for a membership row and does not require an owner or admin role, allowing attacker-controlled OIDC or SAML providers to drive /sso/callback/{providerId} organization provisioning. This issue is fixed in version 1.6.11.

Path traversal in getPlaylist/deletePlaylist bypasses ownership check: any authenticated user can read or delete any other user's playlist

gonic is a music streaming server / free-software subsonic server API implementation. The maintainer's fix in commit `6dd71e6a3c966867ef8c900d359a7df75789f410` added an ownership check based on `playlist.UserID`. However, `playlist.UserID` is derived from the first path segment of the attacker-controlled playlist ID, with no path containment on the resolved file path. Any authenticated Subsonic user can therefore bypass the ownership check and read any other user's playlist, delete any other user's playlist, and probe arbitrary file paths on the host for existence/readability. This is a bypass of the boundary the `6dd71e6` fix is trying to enforce; it is closely related to the original GONIC-1 IDOR but uses a different primitive (path traversal in the `id` parameter rather than direct cross-user access). Commit 0824bed88f6bbc490ba28bf09d28e5dfeb07b445 in version 0.21.0 fixes the issue.

Subsonic API: any authenticated user can delete or read any other user's playlist (IDOR)

gonic is a music streaming server / free-software subsonic server API implementation. Prior to version 0.21.0, the Subsonic API endpoints `/rest/deletePlaylist.view` and `/rest/getPlaylist.view` perform no per-resource authorization. Once authenticated as any user (admin or not), an attacker can delete any playlist owned by any other user (including admin) by passing its `id` and read the full contents (name, comment, song list) of any other user's **private** (non-public) playlist by passing its `id`. The Subsonic playlist `id` is `base64url("<userID>/<filename>.m3u")`. Because filenames are user-supplied or time-derived and the `userID` is a small integer, IDs are guessable and frequently exposed (e.g. a previously-public playlist that was later made private still has the same ID). This breaks the multi-user trust boundary of gonic: a low-privileged user can wipe an administrator's curated playlists, and a user can exfiltrate any private playlist they obtain an ID for. The issue was fixed in commit `6dd71e6a3c966867ef8c900d359a7df75789f410`, which is part of version 0.21.0.

NextCRM has a BOLA/IDOR in PATCH /api/crm/contacts/[id] that allows Cross-Tenant CRM Data Tampering

NextCRM is open-source customer relationship management (CRM) software. Versions prior to 0.12.0 have a Broken Object Level Authorization (BOLA/IDOR) vulnerability exists in the CRM contact and target update endpoints. The application fails to verify if the authenticated user has ownership of the specific resource being modified. LinkAce: IDOR in Update Policies Allows Any Authenticated User to Overwrite Other Users' Links, Lists, Tags, and Notes

LinkAce is a self-hosted archive to collect website links. Prior to 2.5.6, LinkAce contains an Insecure Direct Object Reference vulnerability in the authorization policy layer that allows any authenticated user to modify resources owned by other users. The affected resource types are links, lists, tags, and notes. Both the web UI and the REST API are vulnerable. The root cause is in the update() methods of all four model policies: LinkPolicy, LinkListPolicy, TagPolicy, and NotePolicy. Each delegates to an access-check method (e.g., userCanAccessLink()) that returns true for any resource with non-private visibility, regardless of who owns it. This means any registered user can edit any public or internal resource across the entire instance. The delete() methods in the same policy files correctly require ownership via $link->user->is($user), which confirms that update was intended to be owner-only. The same flaw exists in the API layer through AuthorizesUserApiActions::userCanUpdateModel(), which mirrors the broken visibility-only check instead of the ownership check used by userCanDeleteModel(). Bulk edit operations via BulkEditController are also affected. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.5.6.

FreeScout: Improper Authorization in Phone Conversation Creation Enables Cross-Mailbox Hidden Customer Modification

FreeScout is a free self-hosted help desk and shared mailbox. Prior to version 1.8.214, the phone-conversation creation flow accepts attacker-controlled `customer_id`, `name`, `to_email`, and `phone` values and resolves the target customer in the backend without enforcing mailbox-scoped customer visibility. As a result, a low-privileged agent who can create a phone conversation in Mailbox A can bind the new Mailbox A phone conversation to a hidden customer from Mailbox B and add a new alias email to that hidden customer record by supplying `to_email`. Improper authorization on muting of alert rules in sentry

Sentry is a developer-first error tracking and performance monitoring platform. An authenticated user can mute alert rules from arbitrary organizations and projects with a know rule ID. The user does not need to be a member of the organization or have permissions on the project. In our review, we have identified no instances where alerts have been muted by unauthorized parties. A patch was issued to ensure authorization checks are properly scoped on requests to mute alert rules. Authenticated users who do not have the necessary permissions are no longer able to mute alerts. Sentry SaaS users do not need to take any action. Self-Hosted Sentry users should upgrade to version **24.9.0** or higher. The rule mute feature was generally available as of 23.6.0 but users with early access may have had the feature as of 23.4.0. Affected users are advised to upgrade to version 24.9.0. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability.
