The LabOne Web Server, backing the LabOne User Interface, contains insufficient input validation in its file access functionality. An unauthenticated attacker could exploit this vulnerability to read arbitrary files on the host system that are accessible to the operating system user running the LabOne software. Additionally, the Web Server does not sufficiently restrict cross-origin requests, which could allow a remote attacker to trigger file access from a victim's browser by directing the victim to a malicious website. The vulnerability is only exploitable when the LabOne Web Server is running. Installations using only the LabOne APIs without starting the Web Server are not exposed.

WebP Server Go through 0.14.4 contains a path traversal vulnerability on Windows that allows unauthenticated attackers to read files outside the configured IMG_PATH directory by sending requests with percent-encoded backslashes (%5C) that bypass the path.Clean() sanitization in handler/router.go. Attackers can exploit the discrepancy between Go's forward-slash-only path normalization and Windows file system APIs that treat backslashes and forward slashes as equivalent to access arbitrary files on the host filesystem accessible to the server process.
Mako is a template library written in Python. Prior to 1.3.12, on Windows, a URI using backslash traversal (e.g. \..\..\ secret.txt) bypasses the directory traversal check in Template.__init__ and the posixpath-based normalization in TemplateLookup.get_template(), allowing reads of files outside the configured template directory. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.3.12.
SPON IP Network Broadcast System, a digital audio transmission platform developed by SPON Communications, contains an arbitrary file read vulnerability in the rj_get_token.php endpoint. The flaw arises from insufficient input validation on the jsondata[url] parameter, which allows attackers to perform directory traversal and access sensitive files on the server. An unauthenticated remote attacker can exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted POST request to read arbitrary files, potentially exposing system configuration, credentials, or internal logic. An affected version range is undefined.
Huijietong Cloud Video Platform contains a path traversal vulnerability that allows an unauthenticated attacker can supply arbitrary file paths to the `fullPath` parameter of the `/fileDownload?action=downloadBackupFile` endpoint and retrieve files from the server filesystem. VulnCheck has observed this vulnerability being exploited in the wild.

Attackers can manipulate file path parameters to access sensitive files outside the intended directory structure.
Langroid is a framework for building large-language-model-powered applications. Prior to version 0.64.0, `SQLChatAgent` in `langroid` ships a `_validate_query` defense-in-depth layer whose `_DANGEROUS_SQL_PATTERNS` regex blocklist enumerates dangerous SQL primitives by specific function name. The list misses the canonical PostgreSQL filesystem-disclosure family `pg_read_file()`, `pg_stat_file()`, `pg_ls_logdir()`, `pg_ls_waldir()`, `pg_current_logfile()` (and similar `SELECT`-shaped functions in the same family). It also leaves SQL Server `OPENDATASOURCE` and SQLite `ATTACH '<file>' AS x` (DATABASE keyword omitted) unblocked. An attacker able to shape the LLM's generated SQL (directly via prompt input or transitively via prompt-injection in data the LLM ingests) can read arbitrary files from the PostgreSQL host through ordinary `SELECT` queries, even with the agent's strict default configuration (`allow_dangerous_operations=False`, `allowed_statement_types=['SELECT']`). The payloads survive the statement-type allowlist (each is a `SELECT`) and pass through the regex blocklist (none of the function names match), then reach the live SQLAlchemy engine via `SQLChatAgent.run_query`. Version 0.64.0 contains a patch for the issue.
PraisonAI is a multi-agent teams system. Prior to version 4.6.40, the fix for GHSA-9mqq-jqxf-grvw / CVE-2026-44336 is incomplete. The original advisory description named four vulnerable handlers in `mcp_server/adapters/cli_tools.py`. Commit `68cc9427` ("fix(security): harden MCP rules path handling…") added a `_resolve_rule_path()` helper and applied it to `rules.create`, `rules.show`, and `rules.delete`. `workflow.show` was left unchanged. Two adjacent handlers in the same file have the same pattern, `workflow.validate` and `deploy.validate`. Neither was mentioned in the original advisory. Both remained unchanged. The original advisory also identified the dispatcher (`server.py:281-298`) as a root cause. It accepts unvalidated `**kwargs` from `params["arguments"]` with no enforcement against the tool's declared `input_schema`. That code is unchanged prior to version 4.6.40. A single unauthenticated MCP `tools/call` to `praisonai.workflow.show` returns the contents of any file the host user can read: `/etc/passwd`, `~/.ssh/id_rsa`, `~/.aws/credentials`, or any project `.env`. Version 4.6.40 contains an updated fix.
Taipy 4.1.1, fixed in commit 129fd40, contains a path traversal vulnerability in the ElementLibrary.get_resource() method in taipy/gui/extension/library.py that allows unauthenticated attackers to escape the intended module directory by exploiting an incomplete path containment check using str.startswith() without a trailing path separator. Attackers can send crafted GET requests with path traversal segments targeting a prefix-matching sibling directory on disk, bypassing the directory containment check because Flask's path converter and Werkzeug's WSGI layer preserve the traversal segments while the resolved path still satisfies the flawed startswith comparison, enabling unauthorized file access outside the intended library directory.

Whistle is an HTTP, HTTP2, HTTPS, and WebSocket debugging proxy. Prior to 2.10.3, lib/service/service.js handles GET /cgi-bin/temp/get by reading req.query.filename, joining it to TEMP_FILES_PATH only when it matches the temporary file pattern, and otherwise passing the user-supplied filename directly to getFile, allowing a remote attacker to read arbitrary files such as /etc/passwd. This issue is reported as fixed in version 2.10.3.
A path traversal vulnerability was identified in Ray Dashboard (default port 8265) in Ray versions prior to 2.8.1. Due to improper validation and sanitization of user-supplied paths in the static file handling mechanism, an attacker can use traversal sequences (e.g., ../) to access files outside the intended static directory, resulting in local file disclosure.
Ilevia EVE X1 Server firmware versions ≤ 4.7.18.0.eden contain an absolute path traversal vulnerability in get_file_content.php that allows an attacker to read arbitrary files. Ilevia has declined to service this vulnerability, and recommends that customers not expose port 8080 to the internet.

Attackers can bypass RCE-focused blocklists to exfiltrate sensitive data like /etc/passwd to external servers.
UnForm Server versions < 10.1.15 contain an unauthenticated arbitrary file read and SMB coercion vulnerability in the Doc Flow feature’s 'arc' endpoint. The Doc Flow module uses the 'arc' handler to retrieve and render pages or resources specified by the user-supplied 'pp' parameter, but it does so without enforcing authentication or restricting path inputs. As a result, an unauthenticated remote attacker can supply local filesystem paths to read arbitrary files accessible to the service account. On Windows deployments, providing a UNC path can also coerce the server into initiating outbound SMB authentication, potentially exposing NTLM credentials for offline cracking or relay. This issue may lead to sensitive information disclosure and, in some environments, enable further lateral movement.
A path traversal vulnerability exists in the Leadsec SSL VPN (formerly Lenovo NetGuard), allowing unauthenticated attackers to read arbitrary files on the underlying system via the ostype parameter in the /vpn/user/download/client endpoint. This flaw arises from insufficient input sanitation, enabling traversal sequences to escape the intended directory and access sensitive files. Exploitation evidence was observed by the Shadowserver Foundation on 2025-02-05 UTC.

Attackers can use multiple '../' sequences to navigate outside the web root and retrieve sensitive configuration files like Windows system files.
An unauthenticated file download vulnerability exists in LimeSurvey versions from 2.0+ up to and including 2.06+ Build 151014. The application fails to validate serialized input to the admin backup endpoint (`index.php/admin/update/sa/backup`), allowing attackers to specify arbitrary file paths using a crafted `datasupdateinfo` payload. The files are packaged in a ZIP archive and made available for download without authentication. This vulnerability can be exploited to read arbitrary files on the host system, including sensitive OS and configuration files.
liquidjs is a Shopify / GitHub Pages compatible template engine in pure JavaScript. Prior to 10.25.0, the layout, render, and include tags allow arbitrary file access via absolute paths (either as string literals or through Liquid variables, the latter require dynamicPartials: true, which is the default). This poses a security risk when malicious users are allowed to control the template content or specify the filepath to be included as a Liquid variable. This vulnerability is fixed in 10.25.0.
Hikvision Streaming Media Management Server v2.3.5 uses default credentials that allow remote attackers to authenticate and access restricted functionality. After authenticating with these credentials, an attacker can exploit an arbitrary file read vulnerability in the /systemLog/downFile.php endpoint via directory traversal in the fileName parameter. This exploit chain can enable unauthorized access to sensitive system files.
Ilevia EVE X1 Server version ≤ 4.7.18.0.eden contains a pre-authentication file disclosure vulnerability via the 'db_log' POST parameter. Remote attackers can retrieve arbitrary files from the server, exposing sensitive system information and credentials.
A path traversal vulnerability exists in the web management interface of D-Link DSL-2730U, DSL-2750U, and DSL-2750E ADSL routers with firmware versions IN_1.02, SEA_1.04, and SEA_1.07. The vulnerability is due to insufficient input validation on the getpage parameter within the /cgi-bin/webproc CGI script. Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') vulnerability in gleam-wisp wisp allows arbitrary file read via percent-encoded path traversal. The wisp.serve_static function is vulnerable to path traversal because sanitization runs before percent-decoding. The encoded sequence %2e%2e passes through string.replace unchanged, then uri.percent_decode converts it to .., which the OS resolves as directory traversal when the file is read. An unauthenticated attacker can read any file readable by the application process in a single HTTP request, including application source code, configuration files, secrets, and system files. This issue affects wisp: from 2.1.1 before 2.2.1.

Prior to version 0.2.2, the save_report tool in openchatbi/tool/save_report.py suffers from a critical path traversal vulnerability due to insufficient input sanitization of the file_format parameter. This issue has been patched in version 0.2.2.
OpenClaw versions prior to 2026.2.13 contain a vulnerability in the browser control API in which it accepts user-supplied output paths for trace and download files without consistently constraining writes to temporary directories. Attackers with API access can exploit path traversal in POST /trace/stop, POST /wait/download, and POST /download endpoints to write files outside intended temp roots.
Music Player Daemon (MPD) before version 0.24.11 contains a path traversal vulnerability in LocalStorage::MapFSOrThrow and LocalStorage::MapUTF8 within the local storage plugin, where the on-disk path is constructed by joining the storage root with a user-supplied URI as plain strings without canonicalization, allowing '..' segments to survive into the resolved path and be flattened by the kernel at openat() time. An unauthenticated attacker can exploit this flaw using the listfiles command to enumerate names, sizes, and modification times of arbitrary directories readable by the MPD process, and the albumart command to read image files in any attacker-chosen directory outside the configured music_directory.
Gradio before 6.16.0 contain a path traversal vulnerability in the FileExplorer component's preprocess() method that allows unauthenticated attackers to escape the configured root directory by supplying path segments containing directory traversal sequences or absolute paths. Attackers can provide crafted path segments that cause os.path.join to discard the root_dir prefix entirely, resulting in arbitrary file read or exposure of sensitive files outside the intended directory.
Banana Slides through 0.4.0, patched in commit e8bc490, contains a path traversal vulnerability in the generate_image() function within the AI service backend that allows unauthenticated attackers to read arbitrary image-format files outside the intended uploads directory by exploiting an incomplete path prefix check using os.path.startswith() without a trailing separator. Attackers can supply crafted markdown image references in user-controlled page descriptions that resolve to sibling directories whose names share the uploads folder prefix, bypassing the directory confinement check and causing the application to read files from unintended locations via PIL Image.open().
