The ZoomLauncher binary in the Zoom client for Linux before 2.0.115900.1201 does not properly sanitize user input when constructing a shell command, which allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by leveraging the zoommtg:// scheme handler.
An exploitable partial path traversal vulnerability exists in the way Zoom Client version 4.6.10 processes messages including shared code snippets. A specially crafted chat message can cause an arbitrary binary planting which could be abused to achieve arbitrary code execution. An attacker needs to send a specially crafted message to a target user or a group to trigger this vulnerability. For the most severe effect, target user interaction is required.
Untrusted search path in certain Zoom Clients for Windows may allow an unauthenticated user to conduct an escalation of privilege via network access
Type confusion in the Zoom Workplace App for Linux before 6.2.10 may allow an authorized user to conduct an escalation of privilege via network access.
Stack-based buffer overflow in the ZoomLauncher binary in the Zoom client for Linux before 2.0.115900.1201 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by leveraging the zoommtg:// scheme handler.
The Zoom Client for Meetings (for Android, iOS, Linux, macOS, and Windows) before version 5.12.2 is susceptible to a URL parsing vulnerability. If a malicious Zoom meeting URL is opened, the malicious link may direct the user to connect to an arbitrary network address, leading to additional attacks including session takeovers.
The Zoom Client for Meetings for Windows before version 5.10.0 and Zoom Rooms for Conference Room for Windows before version 5.10.0, fails to properly check the installation version during the update process. This issue could be used in a more sophisticated attack to trick a user into downgrading their Zoom client to a less secure version.
Zoom Rooms for macOS clients before version 5.11.3 contain a local privilege escalation vulnerability. A local low-privileged user could exploit this vulnerability to escalate their privileges to root.
Improper input validation in the Zoom Desktop Client for Windows before version 5.15.0 may allow an unauthorized user to enable an escalation of privilege via network access.
Vulnerability in dirhistory plugin Description: the widgets that go back and forward in the directory history, triggered by pressing Alt-Left and Alt-Right, use functions that unsafely execute eval on directory names. If you cd into a directory with a carefully-crafted name, then press Alt-Left, the system is subject to command injection. Impacted areas: - Functions pop_past and pop_future in dirhistory plugin.
Cursor is a code editor built for programming with AI. In versions and below, a vulnerability in the Cursor CLI Beta allowed an attacker to achieve remote code execution through the MCP (Model Context Protocol) server mechanism by uploading a malicious MCP configuration in .cursor/mcp.json file in a GitHub repository. Once a victim clones the project and opens it using Cursor CLI, the command to run the malicious MCP server is immediately executed without any warning, leading to potential code execution as soon as the command runs. This issue is fixed in version 2025.09.17-25b418f.
Cursor is a code editor built for programming with AI. In versions 1.7.28 and below, an input validation flaw in Cursor's MCP server installation enables specially crafted deep-links to bypass the standard security warnings and conceal executed commands from users if they choose to accept the server. If an attacker is able to convince a victim to navigate to a malicious deeplink, the victim will not see the correct speedbump modal, and if they choose to accept, will execute commands specified by the attackers deeplink.
Atril is a simple multi-page document viewer. Atril is vulnerable to a critical Command Injection Vulnerability. This vulnerability gives the attacker immediate access to the target system when the target user opens a crafted document or clicks on a crafted link/URL using a maliciously crafted CBT document which is a TAR archive. A patch is available at commit ce41df6.
A flaw was found in SSSD, where the sssctl command was vulnerable to shell command injection via the logs-fetch and cache-expire subcommands. This flaw allows an attacker to trick the root user into running a specially crafted sssctl command, such as via sudo, to gain root access. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to confidentiality, integrity, as well as system availability.
The Yodobashi application 1.2.1.0 and earlier for Android allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary Java methods, and consequently obtain sensitive information or execute OS commands, via a crafted HTML document.
OS Command Injection vulnerability in bbultman gitsome through 0.2.3 allows attackers to execute arbitrary commands via a crafted tag name of the target git repository.
fail2ban is a daemon to ban hosts that cause multiple authentication errors. In versions 0.9.7 and prior, 0.10.0 through 0.10.6, and 0.11.0 through 0.11.2, there is a vulnerability that leads to possible remote code execution in the mailing action mail-whois. Command `mail` from mailutils package used in mail actions like `mail-whois` can execute command if unescaped sequences (`\n~`) are available in "foreign" input (for instance in whois output). To exploit the vulnerability, an attacker would need to insert malicious characters into the response sent by the whois server, either via a MITM attack or by taking over a whois server. The issue is patched in versions 0.10.7 and 0.11.3. As a workaround, one may avoid the usage of action `mail-whois` or patch the vulnerability manually.
The @diez/generation npm package is a client for Diez. The locateFont method of @diez/generation has a command injection vulnerability. Clients of the @diez/generation library are unlikely to be aware of this, so they might unwittingly write code that contains a vulnerability. This issue may lead to remote code execution if a client of the library calls the vulnerable method with untrusted input. All versions of this package are vulnerable as of the writing of this CVE.
Poddycast is a podcast app made with Electron. Prior to version 0.8.1, an attacker can create a podcast or episode with malicious characters and execute commands on the client machine. The application does not clean the HTML characters of the podcast information obtained from the Feed, which allows the injection of HTML and JS code (cross-site scripting). Being an application made in electron, cross-site scripting can be scaled to remote code execution, making it possible to execute commands on the machine where the application is running. The vulnerability is patched in Poddycast version 0.8.1.
lifion-verify-dependencies through 1.1.0 is vulnerable to OS command injection via a crafted dependency name on the scanned project's package.json file.
EPrints 3.4.2 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files and possibly execute commands via crafted LaTeX input to a cgi/latex2png?latex= URI.
cbrPager before 0.9.17 allows user-assisted remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via shell metacharacters in a (1) ZIP (aka .cbz) or (2) RAR (aka .cbr) archive filename.
git-commiters is a Node.js function module providing committers stats for their git repository. Prior to version 0.1.2, there is a command injection vulnerability in git-commiters. This vulnerability manifests with the library's primary exported API: gitCommiters(options, callback) which allows specifying options such as cwd for current working directory and revisionRange as a revision pointer, such as HEAD. However, the library does not sanitize for user input or practice secure process execution API to separate commands from their arguments and as such, uncontrolled user input is concatenated into command execution. This issue has been patched in version 0.1.2.
A flaw was found with the libssh API function ssh_scp_new() in versions before 0.9.3 and before 0.8.8. When the libssh SCP client connects to a server, the scp command, which includes a user-provided path, is executed on the server-side. In case the library is used in a way where users can influence the third parameter of the function, it would become possible for an attacker to inject arbitrary commands, leading to a compromise of the remote target.
In Zmanda Management Console 3.3.9, ZMC_Admin_Advanced?form=adminTasks&action=Apply&command= allows CSRF, as demonstrated by command injection with shell metacharacters. This may depend on weak default credentials.
Adobe After Effects version 18.1 (and earlier) is affected by a potential Command injection vulnerability when chained with a development and debugging tool for JavaScript scripts. An unauthenticated attacker could leverage this vulnerability to achieve arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file.
GNU Bash through 4.3 bash43-026 does not properly parse function definitions in the values of environment variables, which allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via a crafted environment, as demonstrated by vectors involving the ForceCommand feature in OpenSSH sshd, the mod_cgi and mod_cgid modules in the Apache HTTP Server, scripts executed by unspecified DHCP clients, and other situations in which setting the environment occurs across a privilege boundary from Bash execution. NOTE: this vulnerability exists because of an incomplete fix for CVE-2014-6271, CVE-2014-7169, and CVE-2014-6277.
Unbound 1.6.4 through 1.9.4 contain a vulnerability in the ipsec module that can cause shell code execution after receiving a specially crafted answer. This issue can only be triggered if unbound was compiled with `--enable-ipsecmod` support, and ipsecmod is enabled and used in the configuration.
An issue was discovered in Centreon before 18.10.8, 19.10.1, and 19.04.2. It allows CSRF with resultant remote command execution via shell metacharacters in a POST to centreon-autodiscovery-server/views/scan/ajax/call.php in the Autodiscovery plugin.
The "gitDiff" function in Wayfair git-parse <=1.0.4 has a command injection vulnerability. Clients of the git-parse library are unlikely to be aware of this, so they might unwittingly write code that contains a vulnerability. The issue has been resolved in version 1.0.5.
A vulnerability exists that could allow the execution of operating system commands on systems running MiPlatform 2019.05.16 and earlier. An attacker could execute arbitrary remote command by sending parameters to WinExec function in ExtCommandApi.dll module of MiPlatform.
Multiple cross-site request forgery (CSRF) vulnerabilities in Neo4J 1.9.2 allow remote attackers to hijack the authentication of administrators for requests that execute arbitrary code, as demonstrated by a request to (1) db/data/ext/GremlinPlugin/graphdb/execute_script or (2) db/manage/server/console/.
react-dev-utils prior to v11.0.4 exposes a function, getProcessForPort, where an input argument is concatenated into a command string to be executed. This function is typically used from react-scripts (in Create React App projects), where the usage is safe. Only when this function is manually invoked with user-provided values (ie: by custom code) is there the potential for command injection. If you're consuming it from react-scripts then this issue does not affect you.
The DrayTek Vigor 2700 router 2.8.3 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary JavaScript code, and modify settings or the DNS cache, via a crafted SSID value that is not properly handled during insertion into the sWlessSurvey value in variables.js.
This affects the package @graphql-tools/git-loader before 6.2.6. The use of exec and execSync in packages/loaders/git/src/load-git.ts allows arbitrary command injection.
This affects the package bikeshed before 3.0.0. This can occur when an untrusted source file containing Inline Tag Command metadata is processed. When an arbitrary OS command is executed, the command output would be included in the HTML output.
Fortra BoKS Manager contains an OS command injection vulnerability in the client upgrade and patch tooling for legacy tar-based client installations. A malicious or compromised legacy tar-installed client selected for upgrade or patching may be able to cause commands to be executed on the BoKS Master during client version handling.
The commit diff rest endpoint in Bitbucket Server and Data Center before 5.16.10 (the fixed version for 5.16.x ), from 6.0.0 before 6.0.10 (the fixed version for 6.0.x), from 6.1.0 before 6.1.8 (the fixed version for 6.1.x), from 6.2.0 before 6.2.6 (the fixed version for 6.2.x), from 6.3.0 before 6.3.5 (the fixed version for 6.3.x), from 6.4.0 before 6.4.3 (the fixed version for 6.4.x), and from 6.5.0 before 6.5.2 (the fixed version for 6.5.x) allows remote attackers who have permission to access a repository, if public access is enabled for a project or repository then attackers are able to exploit this issue anonymously, to read the contents of arbitrary files on the system and execute commands via injecting additional arguments into git commands.
Improper neutralization of special elements used in an OS command ('OS command injection') vulnerability in TUBITAK BILGEM Software Technologies Research Institute Pardus OS My Computer allows OS Command Injection. This issue affects Pardus OS My Computer: from <=0.7.5 before 0.8.0.
radare2-mcp version 1.6.0 and earlier contains an os command injection vulnerability that allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands by bypassing the command filter through shell metacharacters in user-controlled input passed to r2_cmd_str(). Attackers can inject shell metacharacters through the jsonrpc interface parameters to achieve remote code execution on the host running radare2-mcp without requiring authentication.
Cherry Studio is a desktop client that supports for multiple LLM providers. In version 1.5.1, a remote code execution (RCE) vulnerability exists in the Cherry Studio platform when connecting to streamableHttp MCP servers. The issue arises from the server’s implicit trust in the oauth auth redirection endpoints and failure to properly sanitize the URL. This issue has been patched in version 1.5.2.
Agentic-Flow is an AI agent orchestration platform. Prior to 2.0.14, agentic-flow MCP server tools in src/mcp/standalone-stdio.ts, src/mcp/fastmcp/servers/claude-flow-sdk.ts, src/mcp/fastmcp/servers/stdio-full.ts, src/mcp/fastmcp/servers/http-streaming-updated.ts, src/mcp/fastmcp/servers/http-sse.ts, src/mcp/fastmcp/servers/poc-stdio.ts, src/mcp/fastmcp/tools/agent/{execute,list,parallel}.ts, src/mcp/fastmcp/tools/swarm/orchestrate.ts, and src/mcp/fastmcp/tools/hooks/pretrain.ts interpolated attacker-influenceable tool parameters such as agent, task, name, language, and agentdb directly into shell command strings passed to execSync(), allowing arbitrary OS command execution with the privileges of the MCP server user. This issue is fixed in version 2.0.14.
Nest is a framework for building scalable Node.js server-side applications. In versions 0.2.0 and below, a critical Remote Code Execution (RCE) vulnerability was discovered in the @nestjs/devtools-integration package. When enabled, the package exposes a local development HTTP server with an API endpoint that uses an unsafe JavaScript sandbox (safe-eval-like implementation). Due to improper sandboxing and missing cross-origin protections, any malicious website visited by a developer can execute arbitrary code on their local machine. The package adds HTTP endpoints to a locally running NestJS development server. One of these endpoints, /inspector/graph/interact, accepts JSON input containing a code field and executes the provided code in a Node.js vm.runInNewContext sandbox. This is fixed in version 0.2.1.
Claude Code is an agentic coding tool. From 2.1.38 until 2.1.163, Claude Code's worktree handling allowed creation of worktrees named ".git" and navigation to worktrees outside the sandbox context, enabling git directory confusion attacks. By exploiting symlink manipulation and git fsmonitor execution during worktree operations, an attacker could overwrite files in the user's home directory (such as .zshenv), leading to code execution outside of seatbelt sandbox restrictions. Reliably exploiting this required the user to clone a malicious repository containing prompt injection content and run Claude Code against it. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.1.163.
Markdown Preview Enhanced before 0.8.28 opens external files and links from the preview through a shell and does not validate untrusted inputs taken from the markdown document - the diagram filename attribute, imported file paths, and the latex_engine code-chunk attribute. On Windows, a crafted markdown document can inject operating system commands that execute when the document is previewed. Fixed in 0.8.28 by passing these inputs as literal arguments instead of through a shell and validating them before use.
Ghidra versions prior to 12.0.3 improperly process annotation directives embedded in automatically extracted binary data, resulting in arbitrary command execution when an analyst interacts with the UI. Specifically, the @execute annotation (which is intended for trusted, user-authored comments) is also parsed in comments generated during auto-analysis (such as CFStrings in Mach-O binaries). This allows a crafted binary to present seemingly benign clickable text which, when clicked, executes attacker-controlled commands on the analyst’s machine.
In lib/mini_magick/image.rb in MiniMagick before 4.9.4, a fetched remote image filename could cause remote command execution because Image.open input is directly passed to Kernel#open, which accepts a '|' character followed by a command.
Yocto Project is an open source collaboration project that helps developers create custom Linux-based systems regardless of the hardware architecture. In Yocto Projects Bitbake before 2.6.2 (before and included Yocto Project 4.3.1), with the Toaster server (included in bitbake) running, missing input validation allows an attacker to perform a remote code execution in the server's shell via a crafted HTTP request. Authentication is not necessary. Toaster server execution has to be specifically run and is not the default for Bitbake command line builds, it is only used for the Toaster web based user interface to Bitbake. The fix has been backported to the bitbake included with Yocto Project 5.0, 3.1.31, 4.0.16, and 4.3.2.
phpFileManager 0.9.8 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via a crafted URL.
BentoML is a Python library for building online serving systems optimized for AI apps and model inference. Prior to 1.4.39, a malicious bentofile.yaml containing a newline-injected value in envs[*].name produces unquoted RUN directives in the BentoML-generated Dockerfile. When the victim runs bentoml containerize on the imported bento, those RUN directives execute on the host during docker build. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.4.39.
