comrak is a CommonMark + GFM compatible Markdown parser and renderer written in rust. A range of quadratic parsing issues are present in Comrak. These can be used to craft denial-of-service attacks on services that use Comrak to parse Markdown. This issue has been addressed in version 0.17.0. Users are advised to upgrade. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability. This issue is also tracked as `GHSL-2023-047`
CAI Content Credentials versions c2pa-web@0.7.1, c2pa-v0.80.1 and earlier are affected by an Uncontrolled Resource Consumption vulnerability. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to exhaust system resources, resulting in an application denial-of-service condition. Exploitation of this issue does not require user interaction.
Windows Network Address Translation (NAT) Denial of Service Vulnerability
A flaw was found within the handling of SMB2_READ commands in the kernel ksmbd module. The issue results from not releasing memory after its effective lifetime. An attacker can leverage this to create a denial-of-service condition on affected installations of Linux. Authentication is not required to exploit this vulnerability, but only systems with ksmbd enabled are vulnerable.
Those using HtmlUnit to browse untrusted webpages may be vulnerable to Denial of service attacks (DoS). If HtmlUnit is running on user supplied web pages, an attacker may supply content that causes HtmlUnit to crash by a stack overflow. This effect may support a denial of service attack. This issue affects htmlunit before 2.70.0.
Nextcloud server is an open source home cloud implementation. In releases of the 25.0.x branch before 25.0.3 an inefficient fetch operation may impact server performances and/or can lead to a denial of service. This issue has been addressed and it is recommended that the Nextcloud Server is upgraded to 25.0.3. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability.
In Message and toBundle of Notification.java, there is a possible resource exhaustion due to improper input validation. This could lead to remote denial of service requiring a device reset to fix with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.Product: AndroidVersions: Android-11 Android-8.0 Android-8.1 Android-9 Android-10Android ID: A-158304295
An issue was discovered in the Multipart Request Parser in Django 3.2 before 3.2.18, 4.0 before 4.0.10, and 4.1 before 4.1.7. Passing certain inputs (e.g., an excessive number of parts) to multipart forms could result in too many open files or memory exhaustion, and provided a potential vector for a denial-of-service attack.
An issue was discovered in Technitium 11.0.2. There is a vulnerability (called BadDNS) in DNS resolving software, which triggers a resolver to ignore valid responses, thus causing DoS (denial of service) for normal resolution. The effects of an exploit would be widespread and highly impactful, because the attacker could just forge a response targeting the source port of a vulnerable resolver without the need to guess the correct TXID.
`python-multipart` is a streaming multipart parser for Python. When using form data, `python-multipart` uses a Regular Expression to parse the HTTP `Content-Type` header, including options. An attacker could send a custom-made `Content-Type` option that is very difficult for the RegEx to process, consuming CPU resources and stalling indefinitely (minutes or more) while holding the main event loop. This means that process can't handle any more requests, leading to regular expression denial of service. This vulnerability has been patched in version 0.0.7.
The Googlemaps plugin before 3.1 for Joomla! allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service via the url parameter to plugin_googlemap2_proxy.php.
FreeSWITCH is a Software Defined Telecom Stack enabling the digital transformation from proprietary telecom switches to a software implementation that runs on any commodity hardware. Prior to version 1.11.1, mod_verto's WebSocket frame loop intercepts a #-prefixed speed-test protocol (#SPU / #SPB / #SPE) before any authentication check. The declared payload size in #SPU was parsed with atoi() and only rejected non-positive values, so an unauthenticated peer could request up to INT_MAX bytes. The server then wrote roughly size * 10 bytes back during the download phase, on the order of 20 GB per request, yielding strong outbound bandwidth amplification from a short request. This issue has been patched in version 1.11.1.
qpid-cpp: ACL policies only loaded if the acl-file option specified enabling DoS by consuming all available file descriptors
Some HTTP/2 implementations are vulnerable to window size manipulation and stream prioritization manipulation, potentially leading to a denial of service. The attacker requests a large amount of data from a specified resource over multiple streams. They manipulate window size and stream priority to force the server to queue the data in 1-byte chunks. Depending on how efficiently this data is queued, this can consume excess CPU, memory, or both.
Some HTTP/2 implementations are vulnerable to unconstrained interal data buffering, potentially leading to a denial of service. The attacker opens the HTTP/2 window so the peer can send without constraint; however, they leave the TCP window closed so the peer cannot actually write (many of) the bytes on the wire. The attacker then sends a stream of requests for a large response object. Depending on how the servers queue the responses, this can consume excess memory, CPU, or both.
AnyDesk 7.0.8 allows remote Denial of Service.
Zoho ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus through 14104, Asset Explorer through 6987, ServiceDesk Plus MSP before 14000, and Support Center Plus before 14000 allow Denial-of-Service (DoS).
Some HTTP/2 implementations are vulnerable to a flood of empty frames, potentially leading to a denial of service. The attacker sends a stream of frames with an empty payload and without the end-of-stream flag. These frames can be DATA, HEADERS, CONTINUATION and/or PUSH_PROMISE. The peer spends time processing each frame disproportionate to attack bandwidth. This can consume excess CPU.
An exploitable vulnerability exists in the user photo update functionality of Circle with Disney running firmware 2.0.1. A repeated set of specially crafted API calls can cause the device to corrupt essential memory, resulting in a bricked device. An attacker needs network connectivity to the device to trigger this vulnerability.
crossplane-runtime is a set of go libraries used to build Kubernetes controllers in Crossplane and its related stacks. An out of memory panic vulnerability has been discovered in affected versions. Applications that use the `Paved` type's `SetValue` method with user provided input without proper validation might use excessive amounts of memory and cause an out of memory panic. In the fieldpath package, the Paved.SetValue method sets a value on the Paved object according to the provided path, without any validation. This allows setting values in slices at any provided index, which grows the target array up to the requested index, the index is currently capped at max uint32 (4294967295) given how indexes are parsed, but that is still an unnecessarily large value. If callers are not validating paths' indexes on their own, which most probably are not going to do, given that the input is parsed directly in the SetValue method, this could allow users to consume arbitrary amounts of memory. Applications that do not use the `Paved` type's `SetValue` method are not affected. This issue has been addressed in versions 0.16.1 and 0.19.2. Users are advised to upgrade. Users unable to upgrade can parse and validate the path before passing it to the `SetValue` method of the `Paved` type, constraining the index size as deemed appropriate.
An issue found in POWERAMP 925-bundle-play and Poweramp 954-uni allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service via the Rescan button in Queue and Select Folders button in Library
Some HTTP/2 implementations are vulnerable to resource loops, potentially leading to a denial of service. The attacker creates multiple request streams and continually shuffles the priority of the streams in a way that causes substantial churn to the priority tree. This can consume excess CPU.
Controller DoS due to buffer overflow in the handling of a specially crafted message received by the controller. See Honeywell Security Notification for recommendations on upgrading and versioning. See Honeywell Security Notification for recommendations on upgrading and versioning.
An Improper Check for Unusual or Exceptional Conditions vulnerability in the Packet Forwarding Engine (pfe) of Juniper Networks Junos OS on MX Series allows a unauthenticated network-based attacker to cause an infinite loop, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS). An attacker who sends malformed TCP traffic via an interface configured with PPPoE, causes an infinite loop on the respective PFE. This results in consuming all resources and a manual restart is needed to recover. This issue affects interfaces with PPPoE configured and tcp-mss enabled. This issue affects Juniper Networks Junos OS * All versions prior to 20.4R3-S7; * 21.1 version 21.1R1 and later versions; * 21.2 versions prior to 21.2R3-S6; * 21.3 versions prior to 21.3R3-S5; * 21.4 versions prior to 21.4R3-S3; * 22.1 versions prior to 22.1R3-S4; * 22.2 versions prior to 22.2R3; * 22.3 versions prior to 22.3R2-S2; * 22.4 versions prior to 22.4R2;

In OpenBSD 7.2, a TCP packet with destination port 0 that matches a pf divert-to rule can crash the kernel.
Some HTTP/2 implementations are vulnerable to a reset flood, potentially leading to a denial of service. The attacker opens a number of streams and sends an invalid request over each stream that should solicit a stream of RST_STREAM frames from the peer. Depending on how the peer queues the RST_STREAM frames, this can consume excess memory, CPU, or both.
A denial-of-service vulnerability exists in Rockwell Automation FactoryTalk Transaction Manager. This vulnerability can be exploited by sending a modified packet to port 400. If exploited, the application could potentially crash or experience a high CPU or memory usage condition, causing intermittent application functionality issues. The application would need to be restarted to recover from the DoS.
Some HTTP/2 implementations are vulnerable to ping floods, potentially leading to a denial of service. The attacker sends continual pings to an HTTP/2 peer, causing the peer to build an internal queue of responses. Depending on how efficiently this data is queued, this can consume excess CPU, memory, or both.
Lib/zipfile.py in Python through 3.7.2 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (resource consumption) via a ZIP bomb.
Multiple unauthenticated denial-of-service (DoS) issues in fohrloop dash-uploader v0.1.0 through v0.7.0a2. The chunked-upload handler (dash_uploader/httprequesthandler.py, dash_uploader/upload.py) trusts unsanitized, attacker-controlled upload parameters (e.g. flowTotalChunks) and does not enforce the documented max_file_size limit, allowing a remote, unauthenticated attacker to cause an out-of-memory (OOM) process crash (unbounded range(1, flowTotalChunks + 1) allocation), truncation of the target file to zero bytes (flowTotalChunks=0, where the all([]) == True quirk runs the file-assembly branch on zero chunks), permanent disk exhaustion (never-cleaned-up temporary directories per flowIdentifier), and a complete bypass of the documented max_file_size limit.
An issue was discovered in WTCMS 1.0. It allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (resource consumption) via crafted dimensions for the verification code image.
An issue was discovered in GitLab Community and Enterprise Edition before 11.6.10, 11.7.x before 11.7.6, and 11.8.x before 11.8.1. It allows Uncontrolled Resource Consumption.
