Under certain ldap conditions, Cacti authentication can be bypassed with certain credential types.
OpenVPN 2.1 until v2.4.12 and v2.5.6 may enable authentication bypass in external authentication plug-ins when more than one of them makes use of deferred authentication replies, which allows an external user to be granted access with only partially correct credentials.
Unaligned access in the CSN.1 protocol dissector in Wireshark 3.6.0 to 3.6.1 and 3.4.0 to 3.4.11 allows denial of service via packet injection or crafted capture file
The c_rehash script does not properly sanitise shell metacharacters to prevent command injection. This script is distributed by some operating systems in a manner where it is automatically executed. On such operating systems, an attacker could execute arbitrary commands with the privileges of the script. Use of the c_rehash script is considered obsolete and should be replaced by the OpenSSL rehash command line tool. Fixed in OpenSSL 3.0.3 (Affected 3.0.0,3.0.1,3.0.2). Fixed in OpenSSL 1.1.1o (Affected 1.1.1-1.1.1n). Fixed in OpenSSL 1.0.2ze (Affected 1.0.2-1.0.2zd).
Use after free in OpenVPN version 2.6.0 to 2.6.6 may lead to undefined behavoir, leaking memory buffers or remote execution when sending network buffers to a remote peer.
Integer overflow in the decode_digit function in puny_decode.c in Libidn2 before 2.0.4 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service or possibly have unspecified other impact.
An issue was discovered in amqp_handle_input in amqp_connection.c in rabbitmq-c 0.9.0. There is an integer overflow that leads to heap memory corruption in the handling of CONNECTION_STATE_HEADER. A rogue server could return a malicious frame header that leads to a smaller target_size value than needed. This condition is then carried on to a memcpy function that copies too much data into a heap buffer.
The BOOTP parser in tcpdump before 4.9.2 has a buffer over-read in print-bootp.c:bootp_print().
The DECnet parser in tcpdump before 4.9.2 has a buffer over-read in print-decnet.c:decnet_print().
In shadow before 4.5, the newusers tool could be made to manipulate internal data structures in ways unintended by the authors. Malformed input may lead to crashes (with a buffer overflow or other memory corruption) or other unspecified behaviors. This crosses a privilege boundary in, for example, certain web-hosting environments in which a Control Panel allows an unprivileged user account to create subaccounts.
Heap-based Buffer Overflow in vim/vim prior to 8.2.
This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of Netatalk. Authentication is not required to exploit this vulnerability. The specific flaw exists within the ad_addcomment function. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of the length of user-supplied data prior to copying it to a fixed-length stack-based buffer. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of root. Was ZDI-CAN-15876.
The Zephyr parser in tcpdump before 4.9.2 has a buffer over-read in print-zephyr.c, several functions.
Stack-based buffer overflow in "dnsproxy.c" in connman 1.34 and earlier allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) or execute arbitrary code via a crafted response query string passed to the "name" variable.
OpenVPN versions before 2.3.3 and 2.4.x before 2.4.4 are vulnerable to a buffer overflow vulnerability when key-method 1 is used, possibly resulting in code execution.
Mbed TLS before 3.0.1 has a double free in certain out-of-memory conditions, as demonstrated by an mbedtls_ssl_set_session() failure.
A carefully crafted request body can cause a buffer overflow in the mod_lua multipart parser (r:parsebody() called from Lua scripts). The Apache httpd team is not aware of an exploit for the vulnerabilty though it might be possible to craft one. This issue affects Apache HTTP Server 2.4.51 and earlier.
Heap-based Buffer Overflow in the psf_binheader_writef function in common.c in libsndfile through 1.0.28 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) or possibly have unspecified other impact.
The olm_session_describe function in Matrix libolm before 3.2.7 is vulnerable to a buffer overflow. The Olm session object represents a cryptographic channel between two parties. Therefore, its state is partially controllable by the remote party of the channel. Attackers can construct a crafted sequence of messages to manipulate the state of the receiver's session in such a way that, for some buffer sizes, a buffer overflow happens on a call to olm_session_describe. Furthermore, safe buffer sizes were undocumented. The overflow content is partially controllable by the attacker and limited to ASCII spaces and digits. The known affected products are Element Web And SchildiChat Web.
A Type Confusion vulnerability was found in the Spotlight RPC functions in afpd in Netatalk 3.1.x before 3.1.17. When parsing Spotlight RPC packets, one encoded data structure is a key-value style dictionary where the keys are character strings, and the values can be any of the supported types in the underlying protocol. Due to a lack of type checking in callers of the dalloc_value_for_key() function, which returns the object associated with a key, a malicious actor may be able to fully control the value of the pointer and theoretically achieve Remote Code Execution on the host. This issue is similar to CVE-2023-34967.
A flaw was found in mbsync in isync 1.4.0 through 1.4.3. Due to an unchecked condition, a malicious or compromised IMAP server could use a crafted mail message that lacks headers (i.e., one that starts with an empty line) to provoke a heap overflow, which could conceivably be exploited for remote code execution.
Remote code execution occurs in Apache Solr before 7.1 with Apache Lucene before 7.1 by exploiting XXE in conjunction with use of a Config API add-listener command to reach the RunExecutableListener class. Elasticsearch, although it uses Lucene, is NOT vulnerable to this. Note that the XML external entity expansion vulnerability occurs in the XML Query Parser which is available, by default, for any query request with parameters deftype=xmlparser and can be exploited to upload malicious data to the /upload request handler or as Blind XXE using ftp wrapper in order to read arbitrary local files from the Solr server. Note also that the second vulnerability relates to remote code execution using the RunExecutableListener available on all affected versions of Solr.
Stack overflow in PJSUA API when calling pjsua_player_create. An attacker-controlled 'filename' argument may cause a buffer overflow since it is copied to a fixed-size stack buffer without any size validation.
The ISAKMP parser in tcpdump before 4.9.2 has a buffer over-read in print-isakmp.c:isakmp_rfc3948_print().
Stack overflow in PJSUA API when calling pjsua_recorder_create. An attacker-controlled 'filename' argument may cause a buffer overflow since it is copied to a fixed-size stack buffer without any size validation.
Stack overflow in PJSUA API when calling pjsua_playlist_create. An attacker-controlled 'file_names' argument may cause a buffer overflow since it is copied to a fixed-size stack buffer without any size validation.
Buffer overflow in PJSUA API when calling pjsua_call_dump. An attacker-controlled 'buffer' argument may cause a buffer overflow, since supplying an output buffer smaller than 128 characters may overflow the output buffer, regardless of the 'maxlen' argument supplied
iTextPDF in iText 7 and up to (excluding 4.4.13.3) 7.1.17 allows command injection via a CompareTool filename that is mishandled on the gs (aka Ghostscript) command line in GhostscriptHelper.java.
Use-after-free in the XML-LibXML module through 2.0129 for Perl allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by controlling the arguments to a replaceChild call.
An issue was discovered in FRRouting FRR 9.0. bgpd/bgp_open.c does not check for an overly large length of the rcv software version.
The org.h2.util.JdbcUtils.getConnection method of the H2 database takes as parameters the class name of the driver and URL of the database. An attacker may pass a JNDI driver name and a URL leading to a LDAP or RMI servers, causing remote code execution. This can be exploited through various attack vectors, most notably through the H2 Console which leads to unauthenticated remote code execution.
The OWASP Java HTML Sanitizer before 20211018.1 does not properly enforce policies associated with the SELECT, STYLE, and OPTION elements.
Memory safety bugs present in Firefox 115, Firefox ESR 115.0, Firefox ESR 102.13, Thunderbird 115.0, and Thunderbird 102.13. Some of these bugs showed evidence of memory corruption and we presume that with enough effort some of these could have been exploited to run arbitrary code. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 116, Firefox ESR < 102.14, and Firefox ESR < 115.1.
CPython (aka Python) up to 2.7.13 is vulnerable to an integer overflow in the PyString_DecodeEscape function in stringobject.c, resulting in heap-based buffer overflow (and possible arbitrary code execution)
An out-of-bounds write vulnerability exists in the RS-274X aperture macro variables handling functionality of Gerbv 2.7.0 and dev (commit b5f1eacd) and the forked version of Gerbv (commit 71493260). A specially-crafted gerber file can lead to code execution. An attacker can provide a malicious file to trigger this vulnerability.
An issue was discovered in LemonLDAP::NG (aka lemonldap-ng) 2.0.13. When using the RESTServer plug-in to operate a REST password validation service (for another LemonLDAP::NG instance, for example) and using the Kerberos authentication method combined with another method with the Combination authentication plug-in, any password will be recognized as valid for an existing user.
An out-of-bounds write vulnerability exists in the drill format T-code tool number functionality of Gerbv 2.7.0, dev (commit b5f1eacd), and the forked version of Gerbv (commit 71493260). A specially-crafted drill file can lead to code execution. An attacker can provide a malicious file to trigger this vulnerability.
FreeRDP is a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP), released under the Apache license. Affected versions are subject to an Out-Of-Bounds Write in the `progressive_decompress` function. This issue is likely down to incorrect calculations of the `nXSrc` and `nYSrc` variables. This issue has been addressed in versions 2.11.0 and 3.0.0-beta3. Users are advised to upgrade. there are no known workarounds for this vulnerability.
Plexus-utils before 3.0.16 is vulnerable to command injection because it does not correctly process the contents of double quoted strings.
OctoRPKI does not escape a URI with a filename containing "..", this allows a repository to create a file, (ex. rsync://example.org/repo/../../etc/cron.daily/evil.roa), which would then be written to disk outside the base cache folder. This could allow for remote code execution on the host machine OctoRPKI is running on.
ap_escape_quotes() may write beyond the end of a buffer when given malicious input. No included modules pass untrusted data to these functions, but third-party / external modules may. This issue affects Apache HTTP Server 2.4.48 and earlier.
FreeRDP is a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP), released under the Apache license. Affected versions are subject to an Out-Of-Bounds Write in the `clear_decompress_bands_data` function in which there is no offset validation. Abuse of this vulnerability may lead to an out of bounds write. This issue has been addressed in versions 2.11.0 and 3.0.0-beta3. Users are advised to upgrade. there are no known workarounds for this vulnerability.
json-schema is vulnerable to Improperly Controlled Modification of Object Prototype Attributes ('Prototype Pollution')
perM 0.4.0 has a Buffer Overflow related to strncpy. (Debian initially fixed this in 0.4.0-7.)
adts_decode_extradata in libavformat/adtsenc.c in FFmpeg 4.4 does not check the init_get_bits return value, which is a necessary step because the second argument to init_get_bits can be crafted.
PJSIP is a free and open source multimedia communication library written in C language implementing standard based protocols such as SIP, SDP, RTP, STUN, TURN, and ICE. In affected versions if the incoming STUN message contains an ERROR-CODE attribute, the header length is not checked before performing a subtraction operation, potentially resulting in an integer underflow scenario. This issue affects all users that use STUN. A malicious actor located within the victim’s network may forge and send a specially crafted UDP (STUN) message that could remotely execute arbitrary code on the victim’s machine. Users are advised to upgrade as soon as possible. There are no known workarounds.
Btrbk before 0.31.2 allows command execution because of the mishandling of remote hosts filtering SSH commands using ssh_filter_btrbk.sh in authorized_keys.
The crc32_big function in crc32.c in zlib 1.2.8 might allow context-dependent attackers to have unspecified impact via vectors involving big-endian CRC calculation.
yum does not properly handle bad metadata, which allows an attacker to cause a denial of service and possibly have other unspecified impact via a Trojan horse file in the metadata of a remote repository.
