An issue in floodlight v1.2 allows a local attacker to cause a denial of service via the Topology Manager module and Linkdiscovery module
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_set_pipapo: fix initial map fill The initial buffer has to be inited to all-ones, but it must restrict it to the size of the first field, not the total field size. After each round in the map search step, the result and the fill map are swapped, so if we have a set where f->bsize of the first element is smaller than m->bsize_max, those one-bits are leaked into future rounds result map. This makes pipapo find an incorrect matching results for sets where first field size is not the largest. Followup patch adds a test case to nft_concat_range.sh selftest script. Thanks to Stefano Brivio for pointing out that we need to zero out the remainder explicitly, only correcting memset() argument isn't enough.

Additionally, %pK requires a privilege check CAP_SYSLOG enforced through the LSM, which can trigger a "sleeping function called from invalid context" warning under RT_PREEMPT kernels when the check occurs in an atomic context. This issue may also affect other LSMs. This change avoids the unnecessary privilege check and resolves the sleeping function warning without any loss of information.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: remoteproc: core: Cleanup acquired resources when rproc_handle_resources() fails in rproc_attach() When rproc->state = RPROC_DETACHED and rproc_attach() is used to attach to the remote processor, if rproc_handle_resources() returns a failure, the resources allocated by imx_rproc_prepare() should be released, otherwise the following memory leak will occur. Since almost the same thing is done in imx_rproc_prepare() and rproc_resource_cleanup(), Function rproc_resource_cleanup() is able to deal with empty lists so it is better to fix the "goto" statements in rproc_attach(). replace the "unprepare_device" goto statement with "clean_up_resources" and get rid of the "unprepare_device" label. unreferenced object 0xffff0000861c5d00 (size 128): comm "kworker/u12:3", pid 59, jiffies 4294893509 (age 149.220s) hex dump (first 32 bytes): 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ................ 00 00 02 88 00 00 00 00 00 00 10 00 00 00 00 00 ............ backtrace: [<00000000f949fe18>] slab_post_alloc_hook+0x98/0x37c [<00000000adbfb3e7>] __kmem_cache_alloc_node+0x138/0x2e0 [<00000000521c0345>] kmalloc_trace+0x40/0x158 [<000000004e330a49>] rproc_mem_entry_init+0x60/0xf8 [<000000002815755e>] imx_rproc_prepare+0xe0/0x180 [<0000000003f61b4e>] rproc_boot+0x2ec/0x528 [<00000000e7e994ac>] rproc_add+0x124/0x17c [<0000000048594076>] imx_rproc_probe+0x4ec/0x5d4 [<00000000efc298a1>] platform_probe+0x68/0xd8 [<00000000110be6fe>] really_probe+0x110/0x27c [<00000000e245c0ae>] __driver_probe_device+0x78/0x12c [<00000000f61f6f5e>] driver_probe_device+0x3c/0x118 [<00000000a7874938>] __device_attach_driver+0xb8/0xf8 [<0000000065319e69>] bus_for_each_drv+0x84/0xe4 [<00000000db3eb243>] __device_attach+0xfc/0x18c [<0000000072e4e1a4>] device_initial_probe+0x14/0x20
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: rtlwifi: fix memory leaks and invalid access at probe error path Deinitialize at reverse order when probe fails. When init_sw_vars fails, rtl_deinit_core should not be called, specially now that it destroys the rtl_wq workqueue. And call rtl_pci_deinit and deinit_sw_vars, otherwise, memory will be leaked. Remove pci_set_drvdata call as it will already be cleaned up by the core driver code and could lead to memory leaks too. cf. commit 8d450935ae7f ("wireless: rtlwifi: remove unnecessary pci_set_drvdata()") and commit 3d86b93064c7 ("rtlwifi: Fix PCI probe error path orphaned memory").

For example, in the get_tree_bdev_flags function,when encountering the situation where "Can't mount, would change RO state," In such a case, isofs_fill_super will not have the opportunity to be called,which means that opt->iocharset will not have the chance to be freed,ultimately leading to a memory leak. Let's move the memory freeing of opt->iocharset into isofs_free_fc function.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/slub: Avoid list corruption when removing a slab from the full list Boot with slub_debug=UFPZ. If allocated object failed in alloc_consistency_checks, all objects of the slab will be marked as used, and then the slab will be removed from the partial list. When an object belonging to the slab got freed later, the remove_full() function is called. Because the slab is neither on the partial list nor on the full list, it eventually lead to a list corruption (actually a list poison being detected). So we need to mark and isolate the slab page with metadata corruption, do not put it back in circulation. Because the debug caches avoid all the fastpaths, reusing the frozen bit to mark slab page with metadata corruption seems to be fine. But some packets with modified geometry can also hit bugs in that code. We don't know how many such cases exist. Addressing each one by one also requires touching the complex skb_segment code, which risks introducing bugs for other types of skbs. Instead, linearize all these packets that fail the basic invariants on gso fraglist skbs. That is more robust. If only part of the fraglist payload is pulled into head_skb, it will always cause exception when splitting skbs by skb_segment. For detailed call stack information, see below. Valid SKB_GSO_FRAGLIST skbs - consist of two or more segments - the head_skb holds the protocol headers plus first gso_size - one or more frag_list skbs hold exactly one segment - all but the last must be gso_size Optional datapath hooks such as NAT and BPF (bpf_skb_pull_data) can modify fraglist skbs, breaking these invariants. In extreme cases they pull one part of data into skb linear. For UDP, this causes three payloads with lengths of (11,11,10) bytes were pulled tail to become (12,10,10) bytes. The skbs no longer meets the above SKB_GSO_FRAGLIST conditions because payload was pulled into head_skb, it needs to be linearized before pass to regular skb_segment. skb_segment+0xcd0/0xd14 __udp_gso_segment+0x334/0x5f4 udp4_ufo_fragment+0x118/0x15c inet_gso_segment+0x164/0x338 skb_mac_gso_segment+0xc4/0x13c __skb_gso_segment+0xc4/0x124 validate_xmit_skb+0x9c/0x2c0 validate_xmit_skb_list+0x4c/0x80 sch_direct_xmit+0x70/0x404 __dev_queue_xmit+0x64c/0xe5c neigh_resolve_output+0x178/0x1c4 ip_finish_output2+0x37c/0x47c __ip_finish_output+0x194/0x240 ip_finish_output+0x20/0xf4 ip_output+0x100/0x1a0 NF_HOOK+0xc4/0x16c ip_forward+0x314/0x32c ip_rcv+0x90/0x118 __netif_receive_skb+0x74/0x124 process_backlog+0xe8/0x1a4 __napi_poll+0x5c/0x1f8 net_rx_action+0x154/0x314 handle_softirqs+0x154/0x4b8 [118.376811] [C201134] rxq0_pus: [name:bug&]kernel BUG at net/core/skbuff.c:4278! In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: firmware: arm_scmi: Balance device refcount when destroying devices Using device_find_child() to lookup the proper SCMI device to destroy causes an unbalance in device refcount, since device_find_child() calls an implicit get_device(): this, in turns, inhibits the call of the provided release methods upon devices destruction. As a consequence, one of the structures that is not freed properly upon destruction is the internal struct device_private dev->p populated by the drivers subsystem core. KMemleak detects this situation since loading/unloding some SCMI driver causes related devices to be created/destroyed without calling any device_release method. unreferenced object 0xffff00000f583800 (size 512): comm "insmod", pid 227, jiffies 4294912190 hex dump (first 32 bytes): 00 00 00 00 ad 4e ad de ff ff ff ff 00 00 00 00 .....N.......... ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff 60 36 1d 8a 00 80 ff ff ........`6...... backtrace (crc 114e2eed): kmemleak_alloc+0xbc/0xd8 __kmalloc_cache_noprof+0x2dc/0x398 device_add+0x954/0x12d0 device_register+0x28/0x40 __scmi_device_create.part.0+0x1bc/0x380 scmi_device_create+0x2d0/0x390 scmi_create_protocol_devices+0x74/0xf8 scmi_device_request_notifier+0x1f8/0x2a8 notifier_call_chain+0x110/0x3b0 blocking_notifier_call_chain+0x70/0xb0 scmi_driver_register+0x350/0x7f0 0xffff80000a3b3038 do_one_initcall+0x12c/0x730 do_init_module+0x1dc/0x640 load_module+0x4b20/0x5b70 init_module_from_file+0xec/0x158 $ ./scripts/faddr2line ./vmlinux device_add+0x954/0x12d0 device_add+0x954/0x12d0: kmalloc_noprof at include/linux/slab.h:901 (inlined by) kzalloc_noprof at include/linux/slab.h:1037 (inlined by) device_private_init at drivers/base/core.c:3510 (inlined by) device_add at drivers/base/core.c:3561 Balance device refcount by issuing a put_device() on devices found via device_find_child().
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xsk: Free skb when TX metadata options are invalid When a new skb is allocated for transmitting an xsk descriptor, i.e., for every non-multibuf descriptor or the first frag of a multibuf descriptor, but the descriptor is later found to have invalid options set for the TX metadata, the new skb is never freed. This can leak skbs until the send buffer is full which makes sending more packets impossible. Fix this by freeing the skb in the error path if we are currently dealing with the first frag, i.e., an skb allocated in this iteration of xsk_build_skb.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xen: Fix the issue of resource not being properly released in xenbus_dev_probe() This patch fixes an issue in the function xenbus_dev_probe(). In the xenbus_dev_probe() function, within the if (err) branch at line 313, the program incorrectly returns err directly without releasing the resources allocated by err = drv->probe(dev, id). As the return value is non-zero, the upper layers assume the processing logic has failed. However, the probe operation was performed earlier without a corresponding remove operation. Since the probe actually allocates resources, failing to perform the remove operation could lead to problems. To fix this issue, we followed the resource release logic of the xenbus_dev_remove() function by adding a new block fail_remove before the fail_put block. After entering the branch if (err) at line 313, the function will use a goto statement to jump to the fail_remove block, ensuring that the previously acquired resources are correctly released, thus preventing the reference count leak. This bug was identified by an experimental static analysis tool developed by our team. The tool specializes in analyzing reference count operations and detecting potential issues where resources are not properly managed. In this case, the tool flagged the missing release operation as a potential problem, which led to the development of this patch.

TensorFlow is an open source platform for machine learning. Prior to versions 2.9.0, 2.8.1, 2.7.2, and 2.6.4, the implementation of `tf.ragged.constant` does not fully validate the input arguments. This results in a denial of service by consuming all available memory. Versions 2.9.0, 2.8.1, 2.7.2, and 2.6.4 contain a patch for this issue.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/imagination: Break an object reference loop When remaining resources are being cleaned up on driver close, outstanding VM mappings may result in resources being leaked, due to an object reference loop, as shown below, with each object (or set of objects) referencing the object below it: PVR GEM Object GPU scheduler "finished" fence GPU scheduler “scheduled” fence PVR driver “done” fence PVR Context PVR VM Context PVR VM Mappings PVR GEM Object The reference that the PVR VM Context has on the VM mappings is a soft one, in the sense that the freeing of outstanding VM mappings is done as part of VM context destruction; no reference counts are involved, as is the case for all the other references in the loop. To break the reference loop during cleanup, free the outstanding VM mappings before destroying the PVR Context associated with the VM context.

The do_fork function in Linux 2.4.x before 2.4.26, and 2.6.x before 2.6.6, does not properly decrement the mm_count counter when an error occurs after the mm_struct for a child process has been activated, which triggers a memory leak that allows local users to cause a denial of service (memory exhaustion) via the clone (CLONE_VM) system call.
The GameDriverX64.sys kernel-mode anti-cheat driver (v7.23.4.7 and earlier) contains an access control vulnerability in one of its IOCTL handlers. A user-mode process can open a handle to the driver device and send specially crafted IOCTL requests. These requests are executed in kernel-mode context without proper authentication or access validation, allowing the attacker to terminate arbitrary processes, including critical system and security services, without requiring administrative privileges.

Fix it by adding phy_disconnect() when removes one r6040 device or on error handling path after r6040_mii probed successfully.
A memory leak flaw was found in nft_set_catchall_flush in net/netfilter/nf_tables_api.c in the Linux Kernel. This issue may allow a local attacker to cause double-deactivations of catchall elements, which can result in a memory leak.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: fix ulist leaks in error paths of qgroup self tests In the test_no_shared_qgroup() and test_multiple_refs() qgroup self tests, if we fail to add the tree ref, remove the extent item or remove the extent ref, we are returning from the test function without freeing the "old_roots" ulist that was allocated by the previous calls to btrfs_find_all_roots(). Fix that by calling ulist_free() before returning.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: blk-iolatency: Fix memory leak on add_disk() failures When a gendisk is successfully initialized but add_disk() fails such as when a loop device has invalid number of minor device numbers specified, blkcg_init_disk() is called during init and then blkcg_exit_disk() during error handling. Unfortunately, iolatency gets initialized in the former but doesn't get cleaned up in the latter. This is because, in non-error cases, the cleanup is performed by del_gendisk() calling rq_qos_exit(), the assumption being that rq_qos policies, iolatency being one of them, can only be activated once the disk is fully registered and visible. That assumption is true for wbt and iocost, but not so for iolatency as it gets initialized before add_disk() is called. It is desirable to lazy-init rq_qos policies because they are optional features and add to hot path overhead once initialized - each IO has to walk all the registered rq_qos policies. So, we want to switch iolatency to lazy init too. However, that's a bigger change. As a fix for the immediate problem, let's just add an extra call to rq_qos_exit() in blkcg_exit_disk(). This is safe because duplicate calls to rq_qos_exit() become noop's.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drivers: serial: jsm: fix some leaks in probe This error path needs to unwind instead of just returning directly.

Gifsicle through 1.94, if deployed in a way that allows untrusted input to affect Gif_Realloc calls, might allow a denial of service (memory consumption). NOTE: this has been disputed by multiple parties because the Gifsicle code is not commonly used for unattended operation in which new input arrives for a long-running process, does not ship with functionality to link it into another application as a library, and does not have realistic use cases in which an adversary controls the entire command line.
