The Download Manager plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Directory Traversal in all versions up to, and including, 3.3.08 via the 'wpdm_newfile' action. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Author-level access and above, to overwrite select file types outside of the originally intended directory, which may cause a denial of service.
The basic_settings function in the download manager plugin for WordPress before 2.7.3 allows remote authenticated users to update every WordPress option.
The Download Manager plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to deserialization of untrusted input via the 'file[package_dir]' parameter in versions up to, and including 3.2.49. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers with contributor privileges and above to call files using a PHAR wrapper that will deserialize the data and call arbitrary PHP Objects that can be used to perform a variety of malicious actions granted a POP chain is also present. It also requires that the attacker is successful in uploading a file with the serialized payload.
Authenticated File Upload in WordPress Download Manager <= 3.1.24 allows authenticated (Author+) users to upload files with a double extension, e.g. "payload.php.png" which is executable in some configurations. This issue affects: WordPress Download Manager version 3.1.24 and prior versions.
The Download Manager WordPress plugin before 3.2.34 does not sanitise and escape the package_ids parameter before using it in a SQL statement, leading to a SQL injection, which can also be exploited to cause a Reflected Cross-Site Scripting issue
A file write vulnerability exists in the OAS Engine configuration functionality of Open Automation Software OAS Platform v18.00.0072. A specially crafted series of network requests can lead to arbitrary file creation or overwrite. An attacker can send a sequence of requests to trigger this vulnerability.
Advantech R-SeeNet versions 2.4.22 allows low-level users to access and load the content of local files.
The Frontend File Manager Plugin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Authenticated Arbitrary File Deletion in versions up to and including 23.6. This is due to a case-sensitive bypass of the wpfm_dir_path parameter sanitization in the wpfm_file_meta_update AJAX handler, where supplying WPFM_DIR_PATH in uppercase evades the unset check and is normalized to wpfm_dir_path by sanitize_key() during update_post_meta(), allowing an attacker to overwrite the stored file path with an arbitrary filesystem path that is then passed directly to unlink() in delete_file_locally() without any directory containment validation. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers with Subscriber-level access to delete arbitrary files on the server, including sensitive files such as wp-config.php, potentially leading to full site takeover.
In JetBrains TeamCity before 2026.1.2 arbitrary file access was possible via the Perforce VCS integration
The Image Optimizer plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file deletion in versions up to and including 1.7.4. This is due to insufficient path validation in the Image_Backup::remove() function where backup file paths stored in post meta are used directly in file deletion operations without verifying they are within the uploads directory. The plugin stores backup file paths in the image_optimizer_metadata post meta field and trusts these paths completely when deleting backups on the delete_attachment hook. An authenticated attacker with Author-level access can edit the image_optimizer_metadata post meta on their own attachments via WordPress's Custom Fields interface, injecting arbitrary absolute file paths into the backups array. When the attacker subsequently deletes the attachment, the plugin calls File_System::delete() on each path without validation. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Author-level access and above, to delete arbitrary files on the server within the web server's filesystem permissions, potentially leading to denial of service, data loss, or security degradation.
Jenkins OWASP ZAP Plugin 1.0.7 and earlier performs build operations on the Jenkins controller rather than the assigned agent, allowing attackers with Item/Configure permission to execute arbitrary code on the Jenkins controller.
Improper restriction of local upload and download paths in check_sftp in Checkmk before 2.3.0p4, 2.2.0p27, 2.1.0p44, and in Checkmk 2.0.0 (EOL) allows attackers with sufficient permissions to configure the check to read and write local files on the Checkmk site server.
mailcow is a dockerized email package, with multiple containers linked in one bridged network. A security vulnerability has been identified in mailcow affecting versions < 2024-01c. This vulnerability potentially allows attackers on the same subnet to connect to exposed ports of a Docker container, even when the port is bound to 127.0.0.1. The vulnerability has been addressed by implementing additional iptables/nftables rules. These rules drop packets for Docker containers on ports 3306, 6379, 8983, and 12345, where the input interface is not `br-mailcow` and the output interface is `br-mailcow`.
Grav before 9.1.8 contains an arbitrary file write vulnerability in the Form plugin's process.save.filename parameter, which is validated against path traversal before Twig processing but never re-validated after rendering. Attackers can submit form data containing path traversal sequences that are processed through Twig templates, allowing them to write arbitrary files including PHP webshells to the web root or other sensitive directories.
The SMSA Shipping(official) plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file deletion due to insufficient file path validation in the smsa_delete_label() function in all versions up to, and including, 2.3. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to delete arbitrary files on the server, which can easily lead to remote code execution when the right file is deleted (such as wp-config.php). CVE-2024-49249 is likely a duplicate of this issue.
Incorrect control of environment variables in PostgreSQL PL/Perl allows an unprivileged database user to change sensitive process environment variables (e.g. PATH). That often suffices to enable arbitrary code execution, even if the attacker lacks a database server operating system user. Versions before PostgreSQL 17.1, 16.5, 15.9, 14.14, 13.17, and 12.21 are affected.

The BookingPress – Appointment Booking Calendar Plugin and Online Scheduling Plugin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Arbitrary File Read to Arbitrary File Creation in all versions up to, and including, 1.1.5 via the 'bookingpress_save_lite_wizard_settings_func' function. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to create arbitrary files that contain the content of files (either on the local server or from a remote location), allowing the execution of any PHP code in those files or the exposure of sensitive information.
Jenkins Email Extension Plugin 1933.v45cec755423f and earlier allows inlining images as `base64` in email content by setting the `data-inline` attribute, without restrictions on the image URLs that can be inlined, allowing attackers able to control the email content to specify `file:` URLs for images to read arbitrary files from the Jenkins controller filesystem.
The quarantine - restore function in Qi-ANXIN Tianqing Endpoint Security Management System v10.0 allows user to restore a malicious file to an arbitrary file path. Attackers can write malicious DLL to system path and perform privilege escalation by leveraging Windows DLL hijacking vulnerabilities.
Microsoft UFO open-source framework for intelligent automation across devices and platforms. In 3.0.1-4-ge2626659, Microsoft UFO uses the user-controlled task_name value directly when constructing session log paths. An authenticated client can supply path traversal sequences in task_name and cause UFO to create log directories and log files outside the intended logs/ directory.

GLPI is an open-source asset and IT management software package that provides ITIL Service Desk features, licenses tracking and software auditing. An authenticated technician user can upload a malicious PHP script and hijack the plugin loader to execute this malicious script. Upgrade to 10.0.16.
External control of file name or path in SQL Server allows an authorized attacker to execute code over a network.
The Motors – Car Dealership & Classified Listings Plugin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file deletion in all versions up to, and including, 1.4.107. This is due to insufficient file path validation in the become-dealer logo upload flow. The plugin allows any authenticated user to set an arbitrary filesystem path via the profile update handler. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber level access and above, to delete arbitrary files on the server.
Metabase is an open source business intelligence and analytics application. SQLite has an FDW-like feature called `ATTACH DATABASE`, which allows connecting multiple SQLite databases via the initial connection. If the attacker has SQL permissions to at least one SQLite database, then it can attach this database to a second database, and then it can query across all the tables. To be able to do that the attacker also needs to know the file path to the second database. Users are advised to upgrade as soon as possible. If you're unable to upgrade, you can modify your SQLIte connection strings to contain the url argument `?limit_attached=0`, which will disallow making connections to other SQLite databases. Only users making use of SQLite are affected.

FileRise is a self-hosted web file manager / WebDAV server. From version 1.0.1 to before version 3.10.0, the resumableIdentifier parameter in the Resumable.js chunked upload handler (UploadModel::handleUpload()) is concatenated directly into filesystem paths without any sanitization. An authenticated user with upload permission can exploit this to write files to arbitrary directories on the server, delete arbitrary directories via the post-assembly cleanup, and probe file/directory existence. This issue has been patched in version 3.10.0.
Fireshare facilitates self-hosted media and link sharing. In version 1.5.1, an authenticated path traversal vulnerability in Fireshare’s chunked upload endpoint allows an attacker to write arbitrary files outside the intended upload directory. The `checkSum` multipart field is used directly in filesystem path construction without sanitization or containment checks. This enables unauthorized file writes to attacker-chosen paths writable by the Fireshare process (e.g., container `/tmp`), violating integrity and potentially enabling follow-on attacks depending on deployment. Version 1.5.2 fixes the issue.
Tina is a headless content management system. Prior to version 2.2.2, a path traversal vulnerability in @tinacms/graphql allows unauthenticated users to write and overwrite arbitrary files within the project root. This is achieved by manipulating the relativePath parameter in GraphQL mutations. The impact includes the ability to replace critical server configuration files and potentially execute arbitrary commands by sabotaging build script. This issue has been patched in version 2.2.2.
OpenClaw versions prior to 2026.2.12 fail to validate the sessionFile path parameter, allowing authenticated gateway clients to write transcript data to arbitrary locations on the host filesystem. Attackers can supply a sessionFile path outside the sessions directory to create files and append data repeatedly, potentially causing configuration corruption or denial of service.
Dell Unisphere for PowerMax, version(s) 10.2, contain(s) an External Control of File Name or Path vulnerability. A low privileged attacker with remote access could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to the ability to overwrite arbitrary files.
Qdrant is a vector similarity search engine and vector database. From 1.9.3 to before 1.16.0, it is possible to append to arbitrary files via /logger endpoint using an attacker-controlled on_disk.log_file path. Minimal privileges are required (read-only access). This vulnerability is fixed in 1.16.0.
Dell Unisphere for PowerMax, version(s) 10.2, contain(s) an External Control of File Name or Path vulnerability. A low privileged attacker with remote access could potentially exploit this vulnerability to delete arbitrary files.
Iris is a web collaborative platform that helps incident responders share technical details during investigations. Prior to 2.4.24, the DFIR-IRIS datastore file management system has a vulnerability where mass assignment of the file_local_name field combined with path trust in the delete operation enables authenticated users to delete arbitrary filesystem paths. The vulnerability manifests through a three-step attack chain: authenticated users upload a file to the datastore, update the file's file_local_name field to point to an arbitrary filesystem path through mass assignment, then trigger the delete operation which removes the target file without path validation. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.4.24.
External Control of File Name or Path in GitHub repository flatpressblog/flatpress prior to 1.3.
A local file inclusion vulnerability in the upload/download flow of the VertiGIS FM application allows authenticated attackers to read arbitrary files from the server by manipulating a file's path during its upload. When the file is subsequently downloaded, the file in the attacker controlled path is returned. Due to the application's ASP.NET architecture, this could potentially lead to remote code execution when the "web.config" file is obtained. Furthermore, the application resolves UNC paths which may enable NTLM-relaying attacks. This issue affects VertiGIS FM: 10.5.00119 (0d29d428).
