Due to an allocation of resources without limits, an uncontrolled resource consumption vulnerability exists in Silicon Labs Ember ZNet SDK prior to v7.4.0.0 (delivered as part of Silicon Labs Gecko SDK v4.4.0) which may enable attackers to trigger a bus fault and crash of the device, requiring a reboot in order to rejoin the network.
High traffic environments may result in NULL Pointer Dereference vulnerability in Silicon Labs's Ember ZNet SDK before v7.4.0, causing a system crash.
A bug in Micrium OS Network HTTP Server permits an invalid pointer dereference during header processing - potentially allowing a device crash and Denial of Service.
A denial-of-service vulnerability exists in the HTTP Server functionality of Micrium uC-HTTP 3.01.00. A specially crafted HTTP request can lead to denial of service. An attacker can send an HTTP request to trigger this vulnerability.
In SiWx91x devices, the SHA2/224 algorithm returns a hash of 256 bits instead of 224 bits. This incorrect hash length triggers a software assertion, which subsequently causes a Denial of Service (DoS). If a watchdog is implemented, device will restart after watch dog expires. If watchdog is not implemented, device can be recovered only after a hard reset
Malformed Device Reset Locally command classes can be sent to temporarily deny service to an end device. Any frames sent by the end device will not be acknowledged by the gateway during this time.
Malformed S2 Nonce Get command classes can be sent to crash the gateway. A hard reset is required to recover the gateway.
An unauthenticated IEEE 802.15.4 'co-ordinator realignment' packet can be used to force Zigbee nodes to change their network identifier (pan ID), leading to a denial of service. This packet type is not useful in production and should be used only for PHY qualification.
A malformed packet causes a stack overflow in the Ember ZNet stack. This causes an assert which leads to a reset, immediately clearing the error.
Missing Encryption of Security Keys vulnerability in Silicon Labs Ember ZNet SDK on 32 bit, ARM (SecureVault High modules) allows potential modification or extraction of network credentials stored in flash. This issue affects Silicon Labs Ember ZNet SDK: 7.3.1 and earlier.
An application can be configured to block boot attempts after consecutive tamper resets are detected, which may not occur as expected. This is possible because the TAMPERRSTCAUSE register may not be properly updated when a level 4 tamper event (a tamper reset) occurs. This impacts Series 2 HSE-SVH devices, including xG23B, xG24B, xG25B, and xG28B, but does not impact xG21B. To mitigate this issue, upgrade to SE Firmware version 2.2.6 or later.
Missing Encryption of Security Keys vulnerability in Silicon Labs OpenThread SDK on 32 bit, ARM (SecureVault High modules) allows potential modification or extraction of network credentials stored in flash. This issue affects Silicon Labs OpenThread SDK: 2.3.1 and earlier.
Envoy is an open source L7 proxy and communication bus designed for large modern service oriented architectures. In affected versions Envoy transitions a H/2 connection to the CLOSED state when it receives a GOAWAY frame without any streams outstanding. The connection state is transitioned to DRAINING when it receives a SETTING frame with the SETTINGS_MAX_CONCURRENT_STREAMS parameter set to 0. Receiving these two frames in the same I/O event results in abnormal termination of the Envoy process due to invalid state transition from CLOSED to DRAINING. A sequence of H/2 frames delivered by an untrusted upstream server will result in Denial of Service in the presence of untrusted **upstream** servers. Envoy versions 1.19.1, 1.18.4 contain fixes to stop processing of pending H/2 frames after connection transition to the CLOSED state.
go-bitfield is a simple bitfield package for the go language aiming to be more performant that the standard library. When feeding untrusted user input into the size parameter of `NewBitfield` and `FromBytes` functions, an attacker can trigger `panic`s. This happen when the `size` is a not a multiple of `8` or is negative. There were already a note in the `NewBitfield` documentation, however known users of this package are subject to this issue. Users are advised to upgrade. Users unable to upgrade should ensure that `size` is a multiple of 8 before calling `NewBitfield` or `FromBytes`.
Mattermost fails to validate the type of the "reminder" body request parameter allowing an attacker to crash the Playbook Plugin when updating the status dialog.
Squid is a caching proxy for the Web supporting HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, and more. Due to an Incorrect Check of Function Return Value bug Squid is vulnerable to a Denial of Service attack against its Helper process management. This bug is fixed by Squid version 6.5. Users are advised to upgrade. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability.

Vulnerability of data verification errors in the kernel module. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may cause WLAN interruption.
A CWE-754: Improper Check for Unusual or Exceptional Conditions vulnerability exists that could cause a Denial of Service of the RTU when receiving a specially crafted request over Modbus, and the RTU is configured as a Modbus server. Affected Products: SCADAPack 312E, 313E, 314E, 330E, 333E, 334E, 337E, 350E and 357E RTUs with firmware V8.18.1 and prior
An Improper Check for Unusual or Exceptional Conditions in packet processing on the MS-MPC/MS-MIC utilized by Juniper Networks Junos OS allows a malicious attacker to send a specific packet, triggering the MS-MPC/MS-MIC to reset, causing a Denial of Service (DoS). Continued receipt and processing of this packet will create a sustained Denial of Service (DoS) condition. This issue only affects specific versions of Juniper Networks Junos OS on MX Series: 17.3R3-S11; 17.4R2-S13; 17.4R3 prior to 17.4R3-S5; 18.1R3-S12; 18.2R2-S8, 18.2R3-S7, 18.2R3-S8; 18.3R3-S4; 18.4R3-S7; 19.1R3-S4, 19.1R3-S5; 19.2R1-S6; 19.3R3-S2; 19.4R2-S4, 19.4R2-S5; 19.4R3-S2; 20.1R2-S1; 20.2R2-S2, 20.2R2-S3, 20.2R3; 20.3R2, 20.3R2-S1; 20.4R1, 20.4R1-S1, 20.4R2; 21.1R1; This issue does not affect any version of Juniper Networks Junos OS prior to 15.1X49-D240;
An Improper Check for Unusual or Exceptional Conditions vulnerability in the routing protocol daemon (rpd) of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows an unauthenticated, network-based attacker to cause a Denial-Of-Service (DoS). When an affected system receives a specific BGP EVPN update message over an established BGP session, this causes an rpd crash and restart. A BGP EVPN configuration is not necessary to be vulnerable. If peers are not configured to send BGP EVPN updates to a vulnerable device, then this issue can't occur. This issue affects iBGP and eBGP, over IPv4 and IPv6. This issue affects: Junos OS: * 23.4 versions from 23.4R2-S3 before 23.4R2-S5, * 24.2 versions from 24.2R2 before 24.2R2-S1, * 24.4 versions before 24.4R1-S3, 24.4R2; Junos OS Evolved: * 23.4-EVO versions from 23.4R2-S2-EVO before 23.4R2-S5-EVO, * 24.2-EVO versions from 24.2R2-EVO before 24.2R2-S1-EVO, * 24.4-EVO versions before 24.4R1-S3-EVO, 24.4R2-EVO.
An issue was discovered in ide_dma_cb() in hw/ide/core.c in QEMU 2.4.0 through 4.2.0. The guest system can crash the QEMU process in the host system via a special SCSI_IOCTL_SEND_COMMAND. It hits an assertion that implies that the size of successful DMA transfers there must be a multiple of 512 (the size of a sector). NOTE: a member of the QEMU security team disputes the significance of this issue because a "privileged guest user has many ways to cause similar DoS effect, without triggering this assert.
A vulnerability in the DNS application layer gateway (ALG) functionality used by Network Address Translation (NAT) in Cisco IOS XE Software could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause an affected device to reload. The vulnerability is due to a logic error that occurs when an affected device inspects certain DNS packets. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending crafted DNS packets through an affected device that is performing NAT for DNS packets. A successful exploit could allow an attacker to cause the device to reload, resulting in a denial of service (DoS) condition on an affected device. The vulnerability can be exploited only by traffic that is sent through an affected device via IPv4 packets. The vulnerability cannot be exploited via IPv6 traffic.
Feathersjs is a framework for creating web APIs and real-time applications with TypeScript or JavaScript. Feathers socket handler did not catch invalid string conversion errors like `const message = ${{ toString: '' }}` which would cause the NodeJS process to crash when sending an unexpected Socket.io message like `socket.emit('find', { toString: '' })`. A fix has been released in versions 5.0.8 and 4.5.18. Users are advised to upgrade. There is no known workaround for this vulnerability.
All versions of package mongo-express are vulnerable to Denial of Service (DoS) when exporting an empty collection as CSV, due to an unhandled exception, leading to a crash.
In BIG-IP versions 15.1.0-15.1.0.4, 15.0.0-15.0.1.3, 14.1.0-14.1.2.6, 13.1.0-13.1.3.3, 12.1.0-12.1.5.1, and 11.6.1-11.6.5.1, undisclosed internally generated UDP traffic may cause the Traffic Management Microkernel (TMM) to restart under some circumstances.
An Improper Check for Unusual or Exceptional Conditions vulnerability in the Packet Forwarding Engine (PFE) of Juniper Networks Junos OS on QFX10000 Series allows a network based attacker to cause a Denial of Service (DoS). If a specific valid IP packet is received and that packet needs to be routed over a VXLAN tunnel, this will result in a PFE wedge condition due to which traffic gets impacted. As this is not a crash and restart scenario, this condition will persist until the system is rebooted to recover. This issue affects Juniper Networks Junos OS on QFX10000: 20.3 version 20.3R1 and later versions; 20.4 versions prior to 20.4R3-S5; 21.1 versions prior to 21.1R3-S5; 21.2 versions prior to 21.2R3-S5; 21.3 versions prior to 21.3R3-S4; 21.4 versions prior to 21.4R3-S1; 22.1 versions prior to 22.1R3; 22.2 versions prior to 22.2R2; 22.3 versions prior to 22.3R1-S2, 22.3R2.
Improper Handling of Exceptional Conditions, Improper Check for Unusual or Exceptional Conditions vulnerability in the ABB SPIET800 and PNI800 module that allows an attacker to cause the denial of service or make the module unresponsive.
There is an Improper Check for Unusual or Exceptional Conditions Vulnerability in Huawei Smartphone.Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may cause the system to reset.
Multiple flaws have been identified in `named` related to the handling of DNS messages whose CLASS is not Internet (`IN`) — for example, `CHAOS` or `HESIOD`, or DNS messages that specify meta-classes (`ANY` or `NONE`) in the question section. Specially crafted requests reaching the affected code paths — recursion, dynamic updates (`UPDATE`), zone change notifications (`NOTIFY`), or processing of `IN`-specific record types in non-`IN` data — can cause assertion failures in `named`. This issue affects BIND 9 versions 9.11.0 through 9.16.50, 9.18.0 through 9.18.48, 9.20.0 through 9.20.22, 9.21.0 through 9.21.21, 9.11.3-S1 through 9.16.50-S1, 9.18.11-S1 through 9.18.48-S1, and 9.20.9-S1 through 9.20.22-S1.
Improper Check for Unusual or Exceptional Conditions vulnerability in phoenixframework phoenix (Presence JavaScript client) allows an attacker with ordinary channel access to cause a persistent client-side denial of service against every viewer of a presence channel topic. This vulnerability is associated with program files assets/js/phoenix/presence.js and program routines Presence.syncState and Presence.syncDiff. The Phoenix JavaScript presence client checks whether a presence already exists with a bare truthiness test (state[key]) instead of an own-property check. Presence keys can be attacker-controlled, because applications track presences under a username or id supplied by the client. A user who joins a channel choosing a key that is an Object.prototype member name (__proto__, constructor, toString, hasOwnProperty, and similar) makes that lookup return JavaScript's built-in Object.prototype instead of undefined. Because the prototype is truthy, the code treats it as an existing presence and reads .metas.map(...) off it, which throws an uncaught TypeError. The exception propagates out of the presence message handler, so the local state is never updated and onSync() never fires. Because the malicious key is tracked on the server, it is re-pushed on every presence update and keeps re-throwing, so presence sync stays broken for every viewer of that channel topic until the attacker leaves. Both syncState and syncDiff use the same unsafe existence-check pattern. The impact is limited to the affected topic and is a read-time confusion of the prototype object, not a mutation of Object.prototype (it is not prototype pollution). This issue affects phoenix: from 1.2.0-rc.0 before 1.5.15, from 1.6.0-rc.0 before 1.6.17, from 1.7.0-rc.0 before 1.7.24, and from 1.8.0-rc.0 before 1.8.9.
Mattermost Confluence Plugin version <1.5.0 fails to handle unexpected request body which allows attackers to crash the plugin via constant hit to server webhook endpoint with an invalid request body.

OpenTelemetry eBPF Instrumentation provides eBPF instrumentation based on the OpenTelemetry standard. Prior to version 0.9.0, the Postgres protocol parser assumes BIND message payloads contain a valid NUL-terminated portal name. A crafted empty or unterminated payload can make OBI slice beyond the end of the captured buffer and panic. This issue has been patched in version 0.9.0.
free5GC is an open-source implementation of the 5G core network. Prior to 4.2.2, free5GC's PCF POST /npcf-smpolicycontrol/v1/sm-policies handler (HandleCreateSmPolicyRequest) panics with a nil-pointer dereference when a downstream OpenAPI consumer call (UDR lookup) returns 404 Not Found and the consumer wrapper returns err != nil together with a nil response struct. The handler logs the OpenAPI error and continues executing instead of returning, then dereferences the nil response struct on a subsequent line and panics. Gin recovery converts the panic into HTTP 500, so a single attacker-shaped POST returns 500 instead of a clean 4xx whenever the downstream lookup fails. The PCF process keeps running. The trigger is a single POST containing input that causes the downstream UDR lookup to fail (e.g. an unknown DNN). In 4.2.1 this endpoint is also reachable WITHOUT an Authorization header because the PCF Npcf_SMPolicyControl route group is mounted without inbound auth middleware. This vulnerability is fixed in 4.2.2.
free5GC is an open-source implementation of the 5G core network. Prior to 4.2.2, free5GC's NEF PATCH /3gpp-pfd-management/v1/{afId}/transactions/{transId}/applications/{appId} handler panics with a nil-pointer dereference when the upstream UDR call fails AND the consumer wrapper returns err != nil together with a nil *ProblemDetails. The handler's errPfdData != nil branch builds its own problemDetailsErr correctly, but immediately after it reads problemDetails.Cause (the OTHER value, which is nil in this branch) and panics. Gin recovery converts the panic into HTTP 500, so a single PATCH against this endpoint returns 500 instead of the intended controlled error response whenever UDR access is failing. This vulnerability is fixed in 4.2.2.
Mattermost Confluence Plugin version <1.5.0 fails to handle unexpected request body which allows attackers to crash the plugin via constant hit to update channel subscription endpoint with an invalid request body.
A vulnerability in the handling of exceptional conditions in Juniper Networks Junos OS Evolved (EVO) allows an attacker to send specially crafted packets to the device, causing the Advanced Forwarding Toolkit manager (evo-aftmand-bt or evo-aftmand-zx) process to crash and restart, impacting all traffic going through the FPC, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS). Continued receipt and processing of these packets will create a sustained Denial of Service (DoS) condition. Following messages will be logged prior to the crash: Feb 2 10:14:39 fpc0 evo-aftmand-bt[16263]: [Error] Nexthop: Failed to get fwd nexthop for nexthop:32710470974358 label:1089551617 for session:18 probe:35 Feb 2 10:14:39 fpc0 evo-aftmand-bt[16263]: [Error] Nexthop: Failed to get fwd nexthop for nexthop:19241453497049 label:1089551617 for session:18 probe:37 Feb 2 10:14:39 fpc0 evo-aftmand-bt[16263]: [Error] Nexthop: Failed to get fwd nexthop for nexthop:19241453497049 label:1089551617 for session:18 probe:44 Feb 2 10:14:39 fpc0 evo-aftmand-bt[16263]: [Error] Nexthop: Failed to get fwd nexthop for nexthop:32710470974358 label:1089551617 for session:18 probe:47 Feb 2 10:14:39 fpc0 audit[16263]: ANOM_ABEND auid=4294967295 uid=0 gid=0 ses=4294967295 pid=16263 comm="EvoAftManBt-mai" exe="/usr/sbin/evo-aftmand-bt" sig=11 Feb 2 10:14:39 fpc0 kernel: audit: type=1701 audit(1612260879.272:17): auid=4294967295 uid=0 gid=0 ses=4294967295 pid=16263 comm="EvoAftManBt-mai" exe="/usr/sbin/evo-aftmand-bt" sig=1 This issue affects Juniper Networks Junos OS Evolved: All versions prior to 20.4R2-EVO; 21.1 versions prior to 21.1R2-EVO.
On Juniper Networks Junos OS devices configured with BGP origin validation using Resource Public Key Infrastructure (RPKI) receipt of a specific packet from the RPKI cache server may cause routing process daemon (RPD) to crash and restart, creating a Denial of Service (DoS) condition. Continued receipt and processing of this packet will create a sustained Denial of Service (DoS) condition. This issue affects: Juniper Networks Junos OS 17.3 versions prior to 17.3R3-S12; 17.4 versions prior to 17.4R3-S5; 18.1 versions prior to 18.1R3-S13; 18.2 versions prior to 18.2R3-S8; 18.3 versions prior to 18.3R3-S5; 18.4 versions prior to 18.4R2-S8, 18.4R3-S8; 19.1 versions prior to 19.1R3-S5; 19.2 versions prior to 19.2R3-S2; 19.3 versions prior to 19.3R2-S6, 19.3R3-S2; 19.4 versions prior to 19.4R2-S4, 19.4R3-S3; 20.1 versions prior to 20.1R3; 20.2 versions prior to 20.2R3; 20.3 versions prior to 20.3R2; 20.4 versions prior to 20.4R2. An Improper Check for Unusual or Exceptional Conditions vulnerability in the flow processing daemon (flowd) of Juniper Networks Junos OS on SRX1600, SRX2300, SRX 4000 Series, and SRX5000 Series with SPC3 allows an unauthenticated, network-based attacker to cause a Denial-of-Service (DoS). If a sequence of specific PIM packets is received, this will cause a flowd crash and restart. This issue affects Junos OS: * all versions before 21.2R3-S9, * 21.4 versions before 21.4R3-S11, * 22.2 versions before 22.2R3-S7, * 22.4 versions before 22.4R3-S6, * 23.2 versions before 23.2R2-S4, * 23.4 versions before 23.4R2-S4, * 24.2 versions before 24.2R2. This is a similar, but different vulnerability than the issue reported as CVE-2024-47503, published in JSA88133.
Handlebars provides the power necessary to let users build semantic templates. In versions 4.0.0 through 4.7.8, when a Handlebars template contains decorator syntax referencing an unregistered decorator (e.g. `{{*n}}`), the compiled template calls `lookupProperty(decorators, "n")`, which returns `undefined`. The runtime then immediately invokes the result as a function, causing an unhandled `TypeError: ... is not a function` that crashes the Node.js process. Any application that compiles user-supplied templates without wrapping the call in a `try/catch` is vulnerable to a single-request Denial of Service. Version 4.7.9 fixes the issue. Some workarounds are available. Wrap compilation and rendering in `try/catch`. Validate template input before passing it to `compile()`; reject templates containing decorator syntax (`{{*...}}`) if decorators are not used in your application. Use the pre-compilation workflow; compile templates at build time and serve only pre-compiled templates; do not call `compile()` at request time.
Socket.IO is an open source, real-time, bidirectional, event-based, communication framework. Prior to versions 3.3.5, 3.4.4, and 4.2.6, a specially crafted Socket.IO packet can make the server wait for a large number of binary attachments and buffer them, which can be exploited to make the server run out of memory. This issue has been patched in versions 3.3.5, 3.4.4, and 4.2.6.
Incorrect boundary conditions in the JavaScript: WebAssembly component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 148 and Thunderbird 148.
Axios is a promise based HTTP client for the browser and Node.js. Prior to versions 0.30.3 and 1.13.5, the mergeConfig function in axios crashes with a TypeError when processing configuration objects containing __proto__ as an own property. An attacker can trigger this by providing a malicious configuration object created via JSON.parse(), causing complete denial of service. This vulnerability is fixed in versions 0.30.3 and 1.13.5.
