A remote code execution vulnerability exists in the Windows agent component of SecureConnector due to improper access controls on a named pipe. The pipe is accessible to the Everyone group and does not restrict remote connections, allowing any network-based attacker to connect without authentication. By interacting with this pipe, an attacker can redirect the agent to communicate with a rogue server that can issue commands via the SecureConnector Agent. This does not impact Linux or OSX Secure Connector.
An issue in the installer of gvim 9.0.0000 allows authenticated attackers to execute arbitrary code via a binary hijacking attack on C:\Program.exe.

Microsoft Windows Media Player (WMP) 6.3, when installed on Solaris, installs executables with world-writable permissions, which allows local users to delete or modify the executables to gain privileges.
Incorrect default permissions in the Intel(R) RealSense(TM) D400 Series Dynamic Calibration Tool before version 2.11, may allow an authenticated user to potentially enable escalation of privilege via local access.
Incorrect default permissions in Microsoft AutoUpdate (MAU) allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally.
Improper access control vulnerability in SamsungRecovery prior to version 8.1.43.0 allows local attckers to delete arbitrary files as SamsungRecovery permission.
Unprotected component vulnerability in StTheaterModeReceiver in Wear OS 3.0 prior to Firmware update Feb-2022 Release allows untrusted applications to enable bedtime mode without a proper permission.
Local privilege escalation due to excessive permissions assigned to child processes. The following products are affected: Acronis Cyber Protect 15 (Windows) before build 28035, Acronis Agent (Windows) before build 27147, Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office (Windows) before build 39612, Acronis True Image 2021 (Windows) before build 39287
Unprotected component vulnerability in StBedtimeModeAlarmReceiver in Wear OS 3.0 prior to Firmware update Feb-2022 Release allows untrusted applications to change bedtime mode without a proper permission.
A privilege escalation vulnerability exists in the Windows version of installation for Advantech R-SeeNet Advantech R-SeeNet 2.4.15 (30.07.2021). A specially-crafted file can be replaced in the system to escalate privileges to NT SYSTEM authority. An attacker can provide a malicious file to trigger this vulnerability.
"IBM InfoSphere Information Server 11.7 is potentially vulnerable to CSV Injection. A remote attacker could execute arbitrary commands on the system, caused by improper validation of csv file contents. IBM X-Force ID: 223598."
An issue was discovered in Samsung Mobile Processor Exynos 2200, 1480, and 2400. A Use-After-Free in the mobile processor leads to privilege escalation.
The Mozilla Maintenance Service "helper.exe" application creates a temporary directory writable by non-privileged users. When this is combined with creation of a junction (a form of symbolic link), protected files in the target directory of the junction can be deleted by the Mozilla Maintenance Service, which has privileged access. Note: This attack requires local system access and only affects Windows. Other operating systems are not affected. This vulnerability affects Firefox ESR < 52.2 and Firefox < 54.
Incorrect Default Permissions on C:\Programdata\Secdo\Logs folder in Secdo allows local authenticated users to overwrite system files and gain escalated privileges. This issue affects all versions Secdo for Windows.
IDrive before 6.7.3.19 on Windows installs by default to %PROGRAMFILES(X86)%\IDriveWindows with weak folder permissions granting any user modify permission (i.e., NT AUTHORITY\Authenticated Users:(OI)(CI)(M)) to the contents of the directory and its sub-folders. In addition, the program installs a service called IDriveService that runs as LocalSystem. Thus, any standard user can escalate privileges to NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM by substituting the service's binary with a malicious one.
An elevation of privilege vulnerability exists in Windows Setup in the way it handles permissions. A locally authenticated attacker could run arbitrary code with elevated system privileges. After successfully exploiting the vulnerability, an attacker could then install programs; view, change, or delete data; or create new accounts with full user rights. The security update addresses the vulnerability by ensuring Windows Setup properly handles permissions.
The Open Connectivity Foundation UPnP specification before 2020-04-17 does not forbid the acceptance of a subscription request with a delivery URL on a different network segment than the fully qualified event-subscription URL, aka the CallStranger issue.
Improper privilege management vulnerability in CC Mode prior to SMR Jun-2023 Release 1 allows physical attackers to manipulate device to operate in way that results in unexpected behavior in CC Mode under specific condition.
A vulnerability in the exacqVision Enterprise System Manager (ESM) v5.12.2 application whereby unauthorized privilege escalation can potentially be achieved. This vulnerability impacts exacqVision ESM v5.12.2 and all prior versions of ESM running on a Windows operating system. This issue does not impact any Windows Server OSs, or Linux deployments with permissions that are not inherited from the root directory. Authorized Users have ‘modify’ permission to the ESM folders, which allows a low privilege account to modify files located in these directories. An executable can be renamed and replaced by a malicious file that could connect back to a bad actor providing system level privileges. A low privileged user is not able to restart the service, but a restart of the system would trigger the execution of the malicious file. This issue affects: Exacq Technologies, Inc. exacqVision Enterprise System Manager (ESM) Version 5.12.2 and prior versions; This issue does not affect: Exacq Technologies, Inc. exacqVision Enterprise System Manager (ESM) 19.03 and above.
SoftPerfect NetWorx 7.1.1 on Windows allows an attacker to execute a malicious binary with potentially higher privileges via a low-privileged user account that abuses the Notifications function. The Notifications function allows for arbitrary binary execution and can be modified by any user. The resulting binary execution will occur in the context of any user running NetWorx. If an attacker modifies the Notifications function to execute a malicious binary, the binary will be executed by every user running NetWorx on that system.
A privilege escalation vulnerability in the Trend Micro Apex One and Apex One as a Service agent could allow a local attacker to unintentionally delete privileged Trend Micro registry keys including its own protected registry keys on affected installations.
When installed as Windows service MELAG FTP Server 2.2.0.4 is run as SYSTEM user, which grants remote attackers to abuse misconfigurations or vulnerabilities with administrative access over the entire host system.
