ImageMagick is free and open-source software used for editing and manipulating digital images. Prior to versions 6.9.13-28 and 7.1.2-2, passing a geometry string containing only a colon (":") to montage -geometry leads GetGeometry() to set width/height to 0. Later, ThumbnailImage() divides by these zero dimensions, triggering a crash (SIGFPE/abort), resulting in a denial of service. This issue has been patched in versions 6.9.13-28 and 7.1.2-2.

Fast DDS is a C++ implementation of the DDS (Data Distribution Service) standard of the OMG (Object Management Group ). Prior to versions 3.4.1, 3.3.1, and 2.6.11, a remotely triggerable Out-of-Memory (OOM) denial-of-service exists in Fast -DDS when processing RTPS GAP submessages under RELIABLE QoS. By sending a tiny GAP packet with a huge gap range (`gapList .base - gapStart`), an attacker drives `StatefulReader::processGapMsg()` into an unbounded loop that inserts millions of s equence numbers into `WriterProxy::changes_received_` (`std::set`), causing multi-GB heap growth and process termination. No authentication is required beyond network reachability to the reader on the DDS domain. In environments without an RSS limit (non-ASan / unlimited), memory consumption was observed to rise to ~64 GB. Versions 3.4.1, 3.3.1, and 2.6.11 patch t he issue.

A weakness has been identified in Cesanta Mongoose up to 7.20. This vulnerability affects the function handle_opt of the file /src/net_builtin.c of the component TCP Option Handler. This manipulation of the argument optlen causes infinite loop. The attack is possible to be carried out remotely. The exploit has been made available to the public and could be used for attacks. Upgrading to version 7.21 is able to resolve this issue. Upgrading the affected component is advised. VulDB has contacted the vendor early and they confirmed quickly, that this issue got fixed already.

FFmpeg versions 0.6.3 through 8.1.2 contain an infinite loop vulnerability in the RTP/ASF demuxer within libavformat/rtpdec_asf.c that allows remote attackers to cause denial of service by sending a crafted RTP/ASF stream. The rtp_asf_fix_header function fails to validate a minimum chunksize when iterating over ASF objects, causing the loop pointer to never advance when a chunksize is smaller than the 24-byte minimum ASF object header size, resulting in CPU exhaustion that denies service to legitimate users.
A flaw was found in libcupsfilters. The cfIEEE1284NormalizeMakeModel() function enters an infinite loop when processing a printer-advertised IEEE-1284 device ID with an empty model field, causing sustained CPU consumption. A network-adjacent attacker could exploit this by broadcasting a specially crafted printer advertisement, leading to denial of service.

OpenFlow v6 protocol dissector infinite loop in Wireshark 4.6.0 to 4.6.4 and 4.4.0 to 4.4.14 allows denial of service
Pillow is a Python imaging library. From 12.0.0 through 12.2.0, Pillow's EPS parser in PIL/EpsImagePlugin.py accepts a negative byte count in the %%BeginBinary directive, allowing a crafted EPS file to cause Image.open() to seek backwards to the same directive and parse it repeatedly in an infinite loop. This issue is fixed in version 12.3.0.

Prior to 6.14.2, an attacker can craft a PDF with a page content stream containing a not terminated inline image that uses the ASCII85 or ASCIIHex filters, causing an infinite loop during parsing such as when extracting page text. This issue is fixed in version 6.14.2.
