LibreChat is Vulnerable to Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) in Actions Capability

LibreChat is a ChatGPT clone with additional features. Prior to version 0.8.1-rc2, LibreChat is vulnerable to Server-side Request Forgery (SSRF), by passing specially crafted OpenAPI specs to its "Actions" feature and making the LLM use those actions. It could be used by an authenticated user with access to this feature to access URLs only accessible to the LibreChat server (such as cloud metadata services, through which impersonation of the server might be possible). This issue has been patched in version 0.8.1-rc2.

LibreChat is vulnerable to Server-Side Request Forgery due to missing restrictions

LibreChat is a ChatGPT clone with additional features. Version 0.8.1-rc2 is prone to a server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability due to missing restrictions of the Actions feature in the default configuration. LibreChat enables users to configure agents with predefined instructions and actions that can interact with remote services via OpenAPI specifications, supporting various HTTP methods, parameters, and authentication methods including custom headers. By default, there are no restrictions on accessible services, which means agents can also access internal components like the RAG API included in the default Docker Compose setup. This issue is fixed in version 0.8.1-rc2.

LibreChat has SSRF protection bypass via IPv4-mapped IPv6 normalization in isPrivateIP

LibreChat is a ChatGPT clone with additional features. Prior to version 0.8.3, `isPrivateIP()` in `packages/api/src/auth/domain.ts` fails to detect IPv4-mapped IPv6 addresses in their hex-normalized form, allowing any authenticated user to bypass SSRF protection and make the server issue HTTP requests to internal network resources — including cloud metadata services (e.g., AWS `169.254.169.254`), loopback, and RFC1918 ranges. Version 0.8.3 fixes the issue.

LibreChat Server-Side Request Forgery using DNS resolution

LibreChat is a ChatGPT clone with additional features. Versions 0.8.2-rc2 through 0.8.2 are vulnerable to a server-side request forgery (SSRF) attack when using agent actions or MCP. Although a previous SSRF vulnerability (https://github.com/danny-avila/LibreChat/security/advisories/GHSA-rgjq-4q58-m3q8) was reported and patched, the fix only introduced hostname validation. It does not verify whether DNS resolution results in a private IP address. As a result, an attacker can still bypass the protection and gain access to internal resources, such as an internal RAG API or cloud instance metadata endpoints. Version 0.8.3-rc1 contains a patch.

LibreChat's Improper Input Validation in Prompt Creation API Enables Unauthorized Permission Changes

LibreChat is a ChatGPT clone with additional features. In versions 0.8.0 and below, when creating prompts, JSON requests are sent to define and modify the prompts via PATCH endpoint for prompt groups (/api/prompts/groups/:groupId). However, the request bodies are not sufficiently validated for proper input, enabling users to modify prompts in a way that was not intended as part of the front end system. The patchPromptGroup function passes req.body directly to updatePromptGroup() without filtering sensitive fields. This issue is fixed in version 0.8.1.

Apache ActiveMQ Broker, Apache ActiveMQ All, Apache ActiveMQ: Remote Code Execution via Jolokia addNetworkConnector

Improper Input Validation, Improper Control of Generation of Code ('Code Injection') vulnerability in Apache ActiveMQ Broker, Apache ActiveMQ All, Apache ActiveMQ. Apache ActiveMQ Classic exposes the Jolokia JMX-HTTP bridge at /api/jolokia/ on the web console. The default Jolokia access policy permits exec operations on all ActiveMQ MBeans (org.apache.activemq:*), including BrokerService.addNetworkConnector(String). An authenticated attacker can invoke these operations with a crafted discovery URI that triggers the VM transport's brokerConfig parameter using the "masterslave:// " URL which can allow loading a Spring XML application context using ResourceXmlApplicationContext. Because Spring's ResourceXmlApplicationContext instantiates all singleton beans before the BrokerService validates the configuration, arbitrary code execution occurs on the broker's JVM through bean factory methods such as Runtime.exec(). This issue affects Apache ActiveMQ Broker: before 5.19.7, from 6.0.0 before 6.2.6; Apache ActiveMQ All: before 5.19.7, from 6.0.0 before 6.2.6; Apache ActiveMQ: before 5.19.7, from 6.0.0 before 6.2.6. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 5.19.7 or 6.2.6, which fixes the issue.

Kyverno: ServiceAccount token leaked to external servers via apiCall service URL

Kyverno is a policy engine designed for cloud native platform engineering teams. Prior to versions 1.18.0-rc1, 1.17.2-rc1, and 1.16.4, Kyverno's apiCall feature in ClusterPolicy automatically attaches the admission controller's ServiceAccount token to outgoing HTTP requests. The service URL has no validation — it can point anywhere, including attacker-controlled servers. Since the admission controller SA has permissions to patch webhook configurations, a stolen token leads to full cluster compromise. Versions 1.18.0-rc1, 1.17.2-rc1, and 1.16.4 patch the issue.

Jellyfin: Potential SSRF + Arbitrary file read via LiveTV M3U tuner

Jellyfin is an open source self hosted media server. Versions prior to 10.11.7 contain a vulnerability chain in the LiveTV M3U tuner endpoint (POST /LiveTv/TunerHosts), where the tuner URL is not validated, allowing local file read via non-HTTP paths and Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) via HTTP URLs. This is exploitable by any authenticated user because the EnableLiveTvManagement permission defaults to true for all new users. An attacker can chain these vulnerabilities by adding an M3U tuner pointing to an attacker-controlled server, serving a crafted M3U with a channel pointing to the Jellyfin database, exfiltrating the database to extract admin session tokens, and escalating to admin privileges. This issue has been fixed in version 10.11.7. If users are unable to upgrade immediately, they can disable Live TV Management privileges for all users.

InvoiceShelf is an open-source web & mobile app that helps track expenses, payments and create professional invoices and estimates. Prior to version 2.2.0, a Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability exists in the Payment receipt PDF generation module. User-supplied HTML in the payment Notes field is passed unsanitised to the Dompdf rendering library, which will fetch any remote resources referenced in the markup. The vulnerability is exploitable directly via the PDF receipt endpoint, regardless of whether automated email attachments are enabled. This issue has been patched in version 2.2.0.

SQLBot: Remote Code Execution via Terminology Poisoning

SQLBot is an intelligent data query system based on a large language model and RAG. Versions 1.5.0 and below contain a Stored Prompt Injection vulnerability that chains three flaws: a missing permission check on the Excel upload API allowing any authenticated user to upload malicious terminology, unsanitized storage of terminology descriptions containing dangerous payloads, and a lack of semantic fencing when injecting terminology into the LLM's system prompt. Together, these flaws allow an attacker to hijack the LLM's reasoning to generate malicious PostgreSQL commands (e.g., COPY ... TO PROGRAM), ultimately achieving Remote Code Execution on the database or application server with postgres user privileges. The issue is fixed in v1.6.0.

Wekan Vulnerable to SSRF through Lack of Validation or Filtering in Attachment URL Loading

Wekan is an open source kanban tool built with Meteor. Versions 8.32 and 8.33 are vulnerable to Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) via attachment URL loading. During board import in Wekan, attachment URLs from user-supplied JSON data are fetched directly by the server without any URL validation or filtering, affecting both the Wekan and Trello import flows. The parseActivities() and parseActions() methods extract user-controlled attachment URLs, which are then passed directly to Attachments.load() for download with no sanitization. This Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability allows any authenticated user to make the server issue arbitrary HTTP requests, potentially accessing internal network services such as cloud instance metadata endpoints (exposing IAM credentials), internal databases, and admin panels that are otherwise unreachable from outside the network. This issue has been fixed in version 8.34.

Prior to version 22.0, the `aVideoEncoder.json.php` API endpoint accepts a `downloadURL` parameter and fetches the referenced resource server-side without proper validation or an allow-list. This allows authenticated users to trigger server-side requests to arbitrary URLs (including internal network endpoints). An authenticated attacker can leverage SSRF to interact with internal services and retrieve sensitive data (e.g., internal APIs, metadata services), potentially leading to further compromise depending on the deployment environment. This issue has been fixed in AVideo version 22.0.

Skipper Ingress Controller Allows Unauthorized Access to Internal Services via ExternalName

Skipper is an HTTP router and reverse proxy for service composition. Prior to version 0.24.0, when running Skipper as an Ingress controller, users with permissions to create an Ingress and a Service of type ExternalName can create routes that enable them to use Skipper's network access to reach internal services. Version 0.24.0 disables Kubernetes ExternalName by default. As a workaround, developers can allow list targets of an ExternalName and allow list via regular expressions.

Roxy-WI: EscapedString validator skips its '..' block when stripping (root cause for several path-traversal/RCE vectors)

Roxy-WI is a web interface for managing Haproxy, Nginx, Apache and Keepalived servers. In versions 8.2.6.4 and prior, EscapedString (app/modules/roxywi/class_models.py:16-30) is the centralised Pydantic validator used on dozens of fields including SSH credential name, username, description, etc. Its if/elif/elif/else flow returns the metacharacter-stripped value without also enforcing the .. block. An attacker who appends a single ;, &, |, $, or backtick to a .. payload routes the value through the strip arm, where .. survives unblocked and the result is not shlex.quote()'d either. At time of publication, there are no publicly available patches.

AutoGPT SSRF vulnerability

AutoGPT is a platform that allows users to create, deploy, and manage continuous artificial intelligence agents that automate complex workflows. Versions prior to autogpt-platform-beta-v0.4.2 contains a server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability inside component (or block) `Send Web Request`. The root cause is that IPV6 address is not restricted or filtered, which allows attackers to perform a server side request forgery to visit an IPV6 service. autogpt-platform-beta-v0.4.2 fixes the issue.

Discourse's SSRF protection missing for some FastImage requests

Discourse is an open-source discussion platform. Prior to version 3.1.0.beta3 of the `beta` and `tests-passed` branches, some user provided URLs were being passed to FastImage without SSRF protection. Insufficient protections could enable attackers to trigger outbound network connections from the Discourse server to private IP addresses. This affects any site running the `tests-passed` or `beta` branches versions 3.1.0.beta2 and prior. This issue is patched in version 3.1.0.beta3 of the `beta` and `tests-passed` branches. gatsby-transformer-remark vulnerable to unsanitized JavaScript code injection

Gatsby is a free and open source framework based on React that helps developers build websites and apps. The gatsby-transformer-remark plugin prior to versions 5.25.1 and 6.3.2 passes input through to the `gray-matter` npm package, which is vulnerable to JavaScript injection in its default configuration, unless input is sanitized. The vulnerability is present in gatsby-transformer-remark when passing input in data mode (querying MarkdownRemark nodes via GraphQL). Injected JavaScript executes in the context of the build server. To exploit this vulnerability untrusted/unsanitized input would need to be sourced by or added into a file processed by gatsby-transformer-remark. A patch has been introduced in `gatsby-transformer-remark@5.25.1` and `gatsby-transformer-remark@6.3.2` which mitigates the issue by disabling the `gray-matter` JavaScript Frontmatter engine. As a workaround, if an older version of `gatsby-transformer-remark` must be used, input passed into the plugin should be sanitized ahead of processing. It is encouraged for projects to upgrade to the latest major release branch for all Gatsby plugins to ensure the latest security updates and bug fixes are received in a timely manner.

Kubernetes kube-apiserver allows access to custom resources via wrong scope

The Kubernetes kube-apiserver mistakenly allows access to a cluster-scoped custom resource if the request is made as if the resource were namespaced. MISP User-controlled order parameter in correlations over-correlation endpoint

A security issue was fixed in the correlations over-correlation endpoint where the order query parameter was accepted from user-controlled named request parameters. This allowed an authenticated user to override the server-defined ordering of over-correlating values. Depending on how the value was processed by the underlying data access layer, this could allow manipulation of database query ordering and potentially expose the application to unsafe query construction. The patch removes order from the set of request-controlled parameters and instead sets the ordering server-side to occurrence desc after processing allowed user parameters. Affected component: app/Controller/CorrelationsController.php, overCorrelations() Security impact: An authenticated attacker could influence the ordering clause used by the over-correlations query. The direct impact appears limited to query manipulation unless further evidence confirms SQL injection or unauthorized data exposure through the manipulated ordering expression.

Weblate is Vulnerable to Authenticated SSRF via Project Backup Import bypassing validate_repo_url

Weblate is a web based localization tool. Prior to version 5.17.1, an authenticated user with project.add permission (default on hosted Weblate SaaS and for any user holding an active billing/trial plan) can import a crafted project backup ZIP whose components/<name>.json contains an attacker-chosen repo URL pointing at a private address (e.g. http://127.0.0.1:9999/) or using a non-allow-listed scheme (e.g. file://, git://). Weblate persists the component via Component.objects.bulk_create([component])[0], which bypasses Django's full_clean() and therefore never runs the validate_repo_url validator. The URL is subsequently written verbatim into .git/config by configure_repo(pull=False). This issue has been patched in version 5.17.1.

LLaMA-Factory is a tuning library for large language models. Prior to version 0.9.4, a Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability in the chat API allows any authenticated user to force the server to make arbitrary HTTP requests to internal and external networks. This can lead to the exposure of sensitive internal services, reconnaissance of the internal network, or interaction with third-party services. The same mechanism also allows for a Local File Inclusion (LFI) vulnerability, enabling users to read arbitrary files from the server's filesystem. The vulnerability exists in the `_process_request` function within `src/llamafactory/api/chat.py.` This function is responsible for processing incoming multimodal content, including images, videos, and audio provided via URLs. The function checks if the provided URL is a base64 data URI or a local file path (`os.path.isfile`). If neither is true, it falls back to treating the URL as a web URI and makes a direct HTTP GET request using `requests.get(url, stream=True).raw` without any validation or sanitization of the URL. Version 0.9.4 fixes the underlying issue.

FoodCoopShop Server-Side Request Forgery vulnerability

FoodCoopShop is open source software for food coops and local shops. Versions starting with 3.2.0 prior to 3.6.1 are vulnerable to server-side request forgery. In the Network module, a manufacturer account can use the `/api/updateProducts.json` endpoint to make the server send a request to an arbitrary host. This means that the server can be used as a proxy into the internal network where the server is. Furthermore, the checks on a valid image are not adequate, leading to a time of check time of use issue. For example, by using a custom server that returns 200 on HEAD requests, then return a valid image on first GET request and then a 302 redirect to final target on second GET request, the server will copy whatever file is at the redirect destination, making this a full SSRF. Version 3.6.1 fixes this vulnerability.

Privilege escalation in i-Educar

i-Educar is free, fully online school management software that can be used by school secretaries, teachers, coordinators, and area managers. Prior to the 2.9 branch, an attacker with only minimal viewing privileges in the settings section is able to change their user type to Administrator (or another type with super-permissions) through a specifically crafted POST request to `/intranet/educar_usuario_cad.php`, modifying the `nivel_usuario_` parameter. The vulnerability occurs in the file located at `ieducar/intranet/educar_usuario_cad.php`, which does not check the user's current permission level before allowing changes. Commit c25910cdf11ab50e50162a49dd44bef544422b6e contains a patch for the issue.

Web Stories <= 1.24.0 - Server Side Request Forgery

The Web Stories plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Server-Side Request Forgery in versions up to, and including 1.24.0 due to insufficient validation of URLs supplied via the 'url' parameter found via the /v1/hotlink/proxy REST API Endpoint. This makes it possible for authenticated users to make web requests to arbitrary locations originating from the web application and can be used to query and modify information from internal services.

Cisco Identity Services Engine Unauthorized File Access Vulnerability

A vulnerability in the web-based management interface of Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) could allow an authenticated, remote attacker to read and delete files on an affected device. This vulnerability is due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted HTTP request that contains certain character sequences to an affected system. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to read or delete specific files on the device that their configured administrative level should not have access to. Cisco plans to release software updates that address this vulnerability.
