Vikunja has Cross-Project Information Disclosure via Task Relations — Missing Authorization Check on Related Task Read

Vikunja is an open-source self-hosted task management platform. Prior to version 2.2.1, when the Vikunja API returns tasks, it populates the `related_tasks` field with full task objects for all related tasks without checking whether the requesting user has read permission on those tasks' projects. An authenticated user who can read a task that has cross-project relations will receive full details (title, description, due dates, priority, percent completion, project ID, etc.) of tasks in projects they have no access to. Version 2.2.1 patches the issue.

Users erroneously and transparently added to private messages in Discourse

Discourse is the an open source discussion platform. In some rare cases users redeeming an invitation can be added as a participant to several private message topics that they should not be added to. They are not notified of this, it happens transparently in the background. This issue has been resolved in commit `a414520742` and will be included in future releases. Users are advised to upgrade. Users are also advised to set `SiteSetting.max_invites_per_day` to 0 until the patch is installed.

Audiobookshelf: Cross-library file exfiltration via unscoped bulk download endpoint

Audiobookshelf is a self-hosted audiobook and podcast server. Prior to 2.32.2, the GET /api/libraries/:id/download endpoint validates that the requesting user has access to the library specified in the URL path, but fetches downloadable items solely by attacker-provided IDs without constraining them to that library. An authenticated user with download permission and access to any one library can exfiltrate the full file contents of items belonging to any other library, including libraries they are explicitly denied access to. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.32.2.

Hatchet: Cross-tenant information disclosure in `listTasksByDAGIds`

Hatchet is a platform for orchestrating background tasks, AI agents, and durable workflows at scale. Prior to 0.83.39, a missing authorization directive on the GET /api/v1/stable/dags/tasks endpoint caused Hatchet's tenant-membership check to be skipped for this route. A user authenticated to any tenant on the same Hatchet instance could query the endpoint with another tenant's UUID and a DAG UUID belonging to that tenant, and receive task metadata for that DAG. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.83.39.

nginx-ui: Authenticated settings disclosure exposes node.secret and enables trusted-node authentication abuse, backup exfiltration, and restore-based nginx-ui state rollback

Nginx UI is a web user interface for the Nginx web server. Prior to version 2.3.8, an authenticated user can call GET /api/settings and retrieve sensitive configuration values, including node.secret. The same node.secret is accepted by AuthRequired() through the X-Node-Secret header (or node_secret query parameter), causing the request to be treated as authenticated via the trusted-node path and associated with the init user. This issue has been patched in version 2.3.8.

Path traversal and improper access control allows leaking out-of-bound files from Argo CD repo-server

Argo CD is a declarative, GitOps continuous delivery tool for Kubernetes. Argo CD starting with version 1.3.0 but before versions 2.1.11, 2.2.6, and 2.3.0 is vulnerable to a path traversal bug, compounded by an improper access control bug, allowing a malicious user with read-only repository access to leak sensitive files from Argo CD's repo-server. A malicious Argo CD user who has been granted `get` access for a repository containing a Helm chart can craft an API request to the `/api/v1/repositories/{repo_url}/appdetails` endpoint to leak the contents of out-of-bounds files from the repo-server. The malicious payload would reference an out-of-bounds file, and the contents of that file would be returned as part of the response. Contents from a non-YAML file may be returned as part of an error message. The attacker would have to know or guess the location of the target file. Sensitive files which could be leaked include files from other Applications' source repositories or any secrets which have been mounted as files on the repo-server. This vulnerability is patched in Argo CD versions 2.1.11, 2.2.6, and 2.3.0. The patches prevent path traversal and limit access to users who either A) have been granted Application `create` privileges or B) have been granted Application `get` privileges and are requesting details for a `repo_url` that has already been used for the given Application. There are currently no known workarounds.

A vulnerability in the web-based management interface of Cisco Email Security Appliance (ESA), Cisco Secure Email and Web Manager, and Cisco Secure Web Appliance, formerly known as Cisco Web Security Appliance (WSA), could allow an authenticated, remote attacker to retrieve sensitive information from an affected device, including user credentials. This vulnerability is due to weak enforcement of back-end authorization checks. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted HTTP request to an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to obtain confidential data that is stored on the affected device.

Prior to version 1.7.7, a user with only partial read access to a document could still access endpoints listing hashes for versions of that document and receive a full list of changes between versions, even if those changes contained cells, columns, or tables to which the user was not supposed to have read access. This was fixed in version 1.7.7 by restricting the `/compare` endpoint to users with full read access. As a workaround, remove sensitive document history using the `/states/remove` endpoint. Another possibility is to block the `/compare` endpoint.

TypeBot: Async filter() bypasses authorization, allowing IDOR in getLinkedTypebots and leaking cross-workspace bot definitions

TypeBot is a chatbot builder tool. In versions 3.15.2, the getLinkedTypebots API endpoint returns full bot definitions to any authenticated user who references a target bot ID in a Typebot Link block, regardless of workspace ownership, leading to IDOR. The authorization check uses Array.filter() with an async callback — since filter() is synchronous, the callback always returns a truthy Promise, so the access control predicate is never actually evaluated. Any authenticated Typebot user can read the full definition of any other workspace's private bots, including: all conversation blocks and logic flow, variable values embedded in the bot (credentials, API keys, PII), webhook URLs and integration configurations. This issue has been fixed in version 3.16.0.

Unauthorized Access After Organization or Project Deactivation in Zitadel

Zitadel is an open source identity management platform. In Zitadel, even after an organization is deactivated, associated projects, respectively their applications remain active. Users across other organizations can still log in and access through these applications, leading to unauthorized access. Additionally, if a project was deactivated access to applications was also still possible. The issue stems from the fact that when an organization is deactivated in Zitadel, the applications associated with it do not automatically deactivate. The application lifecycle is not tightly coupled with the organization's lifecycle, leading to a situation where the organization or project is marked as inactive, but its resources remain accessible. This vulnerability allows for unauthorized access to projects and their resources, which should have been restricted post-organization deactivation. Versions 2.62.1, 2.61.1, 2.60.2, 2.59.3, 2.58.5, 2.57.5, 2.56.6, 2.55.8, and 2.54.10 have been released which address this issue. Users are advised to upgrade. Users unable to upgrade may explicitly disable the application to make sure the client is not allowed anymore.

Authenticated Frigate users can read the full unredacted configuration via `/api/config/raw

Frigate is a network video recorder (NVR) with realtime local object detection for IP cameras. In version 0.17.0, an authenticated non-admin user can retrieve the full raw Frigate configuration through `/api/config/raw`. This exposes sensitive values that are intentionally redacted from `/api/config`, including camera credentials, go2rtc stream credentials, MQTT passwords, proxy secrets, and any other secrets stored in `config.yml`. This appears to be a broken access control issue introduced by the admin-by-default API refactor: `/api/config/raw_paths` is admin-only, but `/api/config/raw` is still accessible to any authenticated user. Version 0.17.1 contains a patch.

etcd: Nested etcd transactions bypass RBAC authorization checks

etcd is a distributed key-value store for the data of a distributed system. Prior to versions 3.4.42, 3.5.28, and 3.6.9, an authenticated user with RBAC restricted permissions on key ranges can use nested transactions to bypass all key-level authorization. This allows any authenticated user with direct access to etcd to effectively ignore all key range restrictions, accessing the entire etcd data store. Kubernetes does not rely on etcd’s built-in authentication and authorization. Instead, the API server handles authentication and authorization itself, so typical Kubernetes deployments are not affected. Versions 3.4.42, 3.5.28, and 3.6.9 contain a patch. If upgrading is not immediately possible, reduce exposure by treating the affected RPCs as unauthenticated in practice. Restrict network access to etcd server ports so only trusted components can connect and require strong client identity at the transport layer, such as mTLS with tightly scoped client certificate distribution.

Parse Server: LiveQuery bypasses CLP pointer permission enforcement

Parse Server is an open source backend that can be deployed to any infrastructure that can run Node.js. Prior to versions 8.6.53 and 9.6.0-alpha.42, Parse Server's LiveQuery WebSocket interface does not enforce Class-Level Permission (CLP) pointer permissions (readUserFields and pointerFields). Any authenticated user can subscribe to LiveQuery events and receive real-time updates for all objects in classes protected by pointer permissions, regardless of whether the pointer fields on those objects point to the subscribing user. This bypasses the intended read access control, allowing unauthorized access to potentially sensitive data that is correctly restricted via the REST API. This issue has been patched in versions 8.6.53 and 9.6.0-alpha.42.

A user with limited Fleet privileges can exploit an internal API endpoint to retrieve sensitive configuration data, including private keys and authentication tokens, that should only be accessible to users with higher-level settings privileges. Frigate has cross-camera snapshot disclosure via unrestricted timeline IDs and missing authorization in /api/events/{event_id}/snapshot-clean.webp

Frigate is a network video recorder (NVR) with realtime local object detection for IP cameras. In version 0.17.0, a low-privilege authenticated user restricted to one camera can access snapshots from other cameras. This is possible through a chain of two authorization problems: `/api/timeline` returns timeline entries for cameras outside the caller's allowed camera set, then `/api/events/{event_id}/snapshot-clean.webp` declares `Depends(require_camera_access)` but never actually validates `event.camera` after looking up the event. Together, this allows a restricted user to enumerate event IDs from unauthorized cameras and then fetch clean snapshots for those events. Version 0.17.1 fixes the issue.

While the direct raw download endpoint (/api/raw/) correctly enforces the download permission, the share creation endpoint only checks Perm.Share, and the public download handler (/api/public/dl/<hash>) serves file content without verifying that the original file owner has download permission. This means any authenticated user with share access can circumvent download restrictions by sharing a file and then retrieving it via the unauthenticated public download URL. The vulnerability undermines data-loss prevention and role-separation policies, as restricted users can publicly distribute files they are explicitly blocked from downloading directly. This issue has been fixed in version 2.62.0.

Copyparty ftp/sftp: Sharing a single file did not fully restrict source-folder access

Copyparty is a portable file server. Prior to 1.20.12, there was a missing permission-check in the shares feature (the shr global-option). This vulnerability only applies when the shares feature is used for the specific purpose of creating a share of just a single file inside a folder or either the FTP or SFTP server is enabled, and also made publicly accessible. Given these conditions, when a user is browsing a share through either FTP or SFTP (not http or https), they can gain read-access to the remaining files inside the shared folder by guessing/bruteforcing the filenames. It was not possible to descend into subdirectories in this manner; only the sibling files were accessible. This vulnerability is similar to CVE-2025-58753 which was previously fixed for HTTP and HTTPS, but not for FTP. The FTPS server did not yet exist at that time. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.20.12.

OpenClaw < 2026.2.26 - Improper Authorization via DM Pairing Store Identity Inheritance in Group Allowlist

OpenClaw versions prior to 2026.2.26 contain an authorization bypass vulnerability where DM pairing-store identities are incorrectly eligible for group allowlist authorization checks. Attackers can exploit this cross-context authorization flaw by using a sender approved via DM pairing to satisfy group sender allowlist checks without explicit presence in groupAllowFrom, bypassing group message access controls.

OliveTin Unauthorized Action Output Disclosure via EventStream

OliveTin gives access to predefined shell commands from a web interface. In 3000.10.2 and earlier, OliveTin’s live EventStream broadcasts execution events and action output to authenticated dashboard subscribers without enforcing per-action authorization. A low-privileged authenticated user can receive output from actions they are not allowed to view, resulting in broken access control and sensitive information disclosure.

Discourse vulnerable to group membership addition permission bypass via discourse-policy plugin

Discourse is an open-source discussion platform. Versions prior to 2026.3.0-latest.1, 2026.2.1, and 2026.1.2 have a security flaw in the discourse-policy plugin which allowed a user with policy creation permission to gain membership access to any private/restricted groups. Once membership to a private/restricted group has been obtained, the user will be able to read private topics that only the group has access to. Versions 2026.3.0-latest.1, 2026.2.1, and 2026.1.2 contain a patch. As a workaround, review all policies for the use of `add-users-to-group` and temporarily remove the attribute from the policy. Alternatively, disable the discourse-policy plugin by disabling the `policy_enabled` site setting.

Authorization bypass in Spree

Spree is a complete open source e-commerce solution built with Ruby on Rails. In Spree from version 3.7 and before versions 3.7.13, 4.0.5, and 4.1.12, there is an authorization bypass vulnerability. The perpetrator could query the API v2 Order Status endpoint with an empty string passed as an Order token. This is patched in versions 3.7.11, 4.0.4, or 4.1.11 depending on your used Spree version. Users of Spree < 3.7 are not affected.
