Keycloak: org.keycloak.authentication: keycloak: unauthorized account takeover via webauthn token replay

A flaw was found in Keycloak. This authentication vulnerability allows a remote attacker to replay `ExecuteActionsActionToken` tokens within Keycloak's WebAuthn (Web Authentication) flow. By intercepting an execute-actions email link, an attacker can register their own authenticator to a victim's account. This leads to unauthorized enrollment of a hardware-backed credential, enabling persistent account takeover.

Workarounds

To mitigate this issue, consider disabling WebAuthn required actions in Keycloak if they are not essential for your deployment. This will prevent the vulnerable token replay mechanism from being exploited. Consult Keycloak documentation for specific configuration steps to disable WebAuthn required actions. Note that applying configuration changes may require a service restart and could impact functionality relying on WebAuthn registration.

Keycloak: keycloak: unauthorized account access via replayed refresh tokens after cluster restart

A flaw was found in Keycloak. When revokeRefreshToken=true is enabled and persistent session storage is in use, a server restart can reset internal timing mechanisms. This allows a remote attacker, who has previously captured a user's refresh token, to replay that token even after it has been revoked. Successful exploitation grants the attacker unauthorized access to the victim's account, potentially leading to information disclosure or privilege escalation.

Librest: weak random number generation in pkce implementation

A flaw was found in librest. The PKCE implementation for OAuth authorization uses the GRand function from the GLib API, a cryptographically insecure pseudo-random number generator. Because the generated "code verifier" lacks sufficient cryptographic entropy, a malicious actor can reverse-engineer the pseudo-random number generator (PRNG) seed to predict or reconstruct the code verifier string, allowing an attacker to bypass PKCE protections and successfully impersonate the client during the OAuth 2.0 authorization flow.

Libsoup: information disclosure may leads libsoup client sends authorization header to a different host when being redirected by a server

A flaw was found in libsoup. When libsoup clients encounter an HTTP redirect, they mistakenly send the HTTP Authorization header to the new host that the redirection points to. This allows the new host to impersonate the user to the original host that issued the redirect.

A vulnerability was found in Red Hat Ceph Storage 4 and Red Hat Openshift Container Storage 4.2 where, A nonce reuse vulnerability was discovered in the secure mode of the messenger v2 protocol, which can allow an attacker to forge auth tags and potentially manipulate the data by leveraging the reuse of a nonce in a session. Openssh: machine-in-the-middle attack if verifyhostkeydns is enabled

A vulnerability was found in OpenSSH when the VerifyHostKeyDNS option is enabled. A machine-in-the-middle attack can be performed by a malicious machine impersonating a legit server. This issue occurs due to how OpenSSH mishandles error codes in specific conditions when verifying the host key. For an attack to be considered successful, the attacker needs to manage to exhaust the client's memory resource first, turning the attack complexity high.

An issue was discovered in OpenSSH 7.9. Due to missing character encoding in the progress display, a malicious server (or Man-in-The-Middle attacker) can employ crafted object names to manipulate the client output, e.g., by using ANSI control codes to hide additional files being transferred. Moby: Off-by-one error in plugin privilege validation

Moby is an open source container framework. Prior to version 29.3.1, a security vulnerability has been detected that allows plugins privilege validation to be bypassed during docker plugin install. Due to an error in the daemon's privilege comparison logic, the daemon may incorrectly accept a privilege set that differs from the one approved by the user. Plugins that request exactly one privilege are also affected, because no comparison is performed at all. This issue has been patched in version 29.3.1.

Vulnerability in the Java SE component of Oracle Java SE (subcomponent: Smart Card IO). Supported versions that are affected are Java SE: 6u161, 7u151, 8u144 and 9. Difficult to exploit vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with network access via multiple protocols to compromise Java SE. Successful attacks require human interaction from a person other than the attacker. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized creation, deletion or modification access to critical data or all Java SE accessible data as well as unauthorized access to critical data or complete access to all Java SE accessible data. Note: This vulnerability applies to Java deployments, typically in clients running sandboxed Java Web Start applications or sandboxed Java applets, that load and run untrusted code (e.g., code that comes from the internet) and rely on the Java sandbox for security. This vulnerability does not apply to Java deployments, typically in servers, that load and run only trusted code (e.g., code installed by an administrator). CVSS 3.0 Base Score 6.8 (Confidentiality and Integrity impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.0/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:N).

A flaw was found in the Cephx authentication protocol in versions before 15.2.6 and before 14.2.14, where it does not verify Ceph clients correctly and is then vulnerable to replay attacks in Nautilus. This flaw allows an attacker with access to the Ceph cluster network to authenticate with the Ceph service via a packet sniffer and perform actions allowed by the Ceph service. This issue is a reintroduction of CVE-2018-1128, affecting the msgr2 protocol. The msgr 2 protocol is used for all communication except older clients that do not support the msgr2 protocol. The msgr1 protocol is not affected. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to confidentiality, integrity, and system availability.

Dovecot OTP authentication is vulnerable to replay attack under specific conditions. If auth cache is enabled, and username is altered in passdb, then OTP credentials can be cached so that same OTP reply is valid. An attacker able to observe an OTP exchange is able to log in as the user. If authentication happens over unsecure connection, switch to SCRAM protocol. Alternatively ensure the communcations are secured, and if possible switch to OAUTH2 or SCRAM. No publicly available exploits are known.
