SurrealDB before 3.1.0 evaluates user-supplied WHERE clauses in SELECT statements (and SET/MERGE/CONTENT/PATCH clauses in UPDATE, UPSERT, INSERT ON DUPLICATE KEY UPDATE, and RELATE update-variant statements) against full record data before enforcing PERMISSIONS FOR SELECT WHERE restrictions. An authenticated user — including Record and Scope users — can exploit this ordering flaw to read the full contents of any table in the database they are authenticated against, bypassing table-level permission checks. Exfiltration is most direct when scripting functions are enabled (--allow-scripting), but is also possible via SurrealQL's THROW statement and timing-based side channels without scripting. The vulnerability is confined to the attacker's current database and does not cross namespace or database isolation boundaries.
SurrealDB versions before 3.1.0 fail to enforce table SELECT permissions when traversing graph edges or back-references. Authenticated users can read records from any table reachable through graph edges regardless of the target table's PERMISSIONS FOR select clause.
SurrealDB versions before 2.0.4 fail to properly enforce field permissions during SELECT, UPDATE, and DELETE operations, allowing authorized users to access unauthorized field values through various query techniques. Attackers can exploit SELECT VALUE operations, field aliasing, function arguments, WHERE clause filtering, RETURN BEFORE clauses, and SET clause references to leak protected field contents despite lacking SELECT permissions.
SurrealDB versions 3.1.0 before 3.1.5 fail to enforce field-level SELECT permissions when records are accessed through graph-edge or back-reference traversals. Attackers with table-level SELECT access can read field values hidden by field-level permissions by materializing records through graph traversals instead of direct table scans.
SurrealDB versions before 3.1.0 contain a field-level SELECT permission bypass vulnerability in indexed COUNT fast paths. Attackers can execute COUNT queries on indexed fields with field-level SELECT restrictions to confirm or recover restricted field values through repeated guesses.
SurrealDB versions before 3.2.0 contain a permissions bypass vulnerability where data-modifying statements within PERMISSIONS clauses execute with enforcement disabled. Attackers with permission to perform a guarded operation can write to tables they lack permission for by embedding CREATE, UPDATE, DELETE, or UPSERT statements in the PERMISSIONS clause, causing unintended writes and data corruption.
SurrealDB versions before 3.1.0 contain an authentication bypass vulnerability in LIVE SELECT subscriptions where permission expressions referencing $value, $before, $after, or $event are evaluated against attacker-controlled bindings instead of actual documents. Authenticated subscribers can bind chosen values to these parameter names and register LIVE SELECT queries to receive notifications for records that SELECT permission expressions should have hidden.
SurrealDB versions before 3.1.0 contain a field-level permission bypass vulnerability in JSON Patch operations that allows authenticated users to read protected fields. Attackers can use UPDATE PATCH with an empty from pointer in copy or move operations to duplicate all record fields, including those restricted by field-level SELECT permissions, into attacker-chosen destination fields.
SurrealDB before 3.1.5 fail to apply field-level SELECT permissions to ORDER BY clauses, allowing authenticated users to leak the relative ordering of restricted field values. Attackers can issue ORDER BY queries on indexed restricted fields to recover the hidden values' sort order across records, even though the field itself returns null as intended.
SurrealDB is a scalable, distributed, collaborative, document-graph database for the realtime web. Prior to 3.1.0, Document::purge_edges in surrealdb/core/src/doc/delete.rs automatically removed graph edge records with permissions disabled through opt.clone().with_perms(false) when a connected node was deleted, bypassing the edge table's PERMISSIONS FOR delete and PERMISSIONS FOR select clauses. This issue is fixed in version 3.1.0.
SurrealDB before 2.2.6, 2.3.6, and 2.1.8 (and 3.0.0-alpha.7 and earlier) fails to validate DNS-resolved hostnames against --deny-net network access restrictions in its http::* functions. An authenticated user can invoke http::<fn>(<url>) with a hostname that resolves to a denied IP address, causing the server to issue the request anyway and return the response. This bypasses network access controls, allowing access to restricted internal endpoints and potentially retrieving or altering sensitive information and credentials, depending on the deployment.
The CloudStack Backup plugin has an improper authorization logic in versions 4.21.0.0 and 4.22.0.0. Anyone with authenticated user-account access in CloudStack 4.21.0.0+ environments, where this plugin is enabled and has access to specific APIs can list backups from any account in the environment. This vulnerability does not allow them to see the contents of the backup. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 4.22.0.1, which fixes the issue.
grist-core is a spreadsheet hosting server. Prior to version 1.7.7, a user with only partial read access to a document could still access endpoints listing hashes for versions of that document and receive a full list of changes between versions, even if those changes contained cells, columns, or tables to which the user was not supposed to have read access. This was fixed in version 1.7.7 by restricting the `/compare` endpoint to users with full read access. As a workaround, remove sensitive document history using the `/states/remove` endpoint. Another possibility is to block the `/compare` endpoint.
Mattermost 6.1 and earlier fails to sufficiently validate permissions while viewing archived channels, which allows authenticated users to view contents of archived channels even when this is denied by system administrators by directly accessing the APIs.
Kalmia CMS version 0.2.0 contains an Incorrect Access Control vulnerability in the /kal-api/auth/users API endpoint. Due to insufficient permission validation and excessive data exposure in the backend, an authenticated user with basic read permissions can retrieve sensitive information for all platform users.
An access control vulnerability was found, due to the restrictions that are applied on actual assertions not being enforced in their debug functionality. An authenticated user with reduced visibility can obtain unauthorized information via the debug functionality, obtaining data that would normally be not accessible in the Query and Assertions functions.
An issue was discovered in ManagedClusterView API, that could allow secrets to be disclosed to users without the correct permissions. Views created for an admin user would be made available for a short time to users with only view permission. In this short time window the user with view permission could read cluster secrets that should only be disclosed to admin users.
An issue has been discovered in GitLab CE/EE affecting all versions from 15.6 before 18.0.6, 18.1 before 18.1.4, and 18.2 before 18.2.2 that under certain conditions could have allowed authenticated users to bypass access controls and download private artifacts by accessing specific API endpoints.
NATS nats-server before 2.9.23 and 2.10.x before 2.10.2 has an authentication bypass. An implicit $G user in an authorization block can sometimes be used for unauthenticated access, even when the intention of the configuration was for each user to have an account. The earliest affected version is 2.2.0.
In the Druid ingestion system, the InputSource is used for reading data from a certain data source. However, the HTTP InputSource allows authenticated users to read data from other sources than intended, such as the local file system, with the privileges of the Druid server process. This is not an elevation of privilege when users access Druid directly, since Druid also provides the Local InputSource, which allows the same level of access. But it is problematic when users interact with Druid indirectly through an application that allows users to specify the HTTP InputSource, but not the Local InputSource. In this case, users could bypass the application-level restriction by passing a file URL to the HTTP InputSource. This issue was previously mentioned as being fixed in 0.21.0 as per CVE-2021-26920 but was not fixed in 0.21.0 or 0.21.1.
Magento Commerce versions 2.4.2 (and earlier), 2.4.2-p1 (and earlier) and 2.3.7 (and earlier) are affected by an improper input validation vulnerability via the `quoteId` parameter. An attacker can abuse this vulnerability to disclose sensitive information.
The Ninja Forms WordPress plugin is vulnerable to sensitive information disclosure via the bulk_export_submissions function found in the ~/includes/Routes/Submissions.php file, in versions up to and including 3.5.7. This allows authenticated attackers to export all Ninja Forms submissions data via the /ninja-forms-submissions/export REST API which can include personally identifiable information.
The RVM WordPress plugin before 6.4.2 does not have proper authorisation, CSRF checks and validation of the rvm_upload_regions_file_path parameter in the rvm_import_regions AJAX action, allowing any authenticated user, such as subscriber, to read arbitrary files on the web server
SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP and ABAP Platform - versions SAP_BASIS 700, SAP_BASIS 701, SAP_BASIS 702, SAP_BASIS 731, SAP_BASIS 740, SAP_BASIS 750, SAP_BASIS 752, SAP_BASIS 753, SAP_BASIS 754, SAP_BASIS 755, SAP_BASIS 756, SAP_BASIS 757, SAP_BASIS 758, SAP_BASIS 793, SAP_BASIS 804, does not perform necessary authorization checks for an authenticated user, resulting in escalation of privileges. This could allow an attacker to read sensitive information which can be used in a subsequent serious attack.
In the Query Engine in Couchbase Server 6.5.x and 6.6.x through 6.6.1, Common Table Expression queries were not correctly checking the user's permissions, allowing read-access to resources beyond what those users were explicitly allowed to access.
In JetBrains TeamCity before 2024.03.2 users could perform actions that should not be available to them based on their permissions
The Web Stories for WordPress plugin supports the WordPress built-in functionality of protecting content with a password. The content is then only accessible to website visitors after entering the password. In WordPress, users with the "Author" role can create stories, but don't have the ability to edit password protected stories. The vulnerability allowed users with said role to bypass this permission check when trying to duplicate the protected story in the plugin's own dashboard, giving them access to the seemingly protected content. We recommend upgrading to version 1.32 or beyond commit ad49781c2a35c5c92ef704d4b621ab4e5cb77d68 https://github.com/GoogleForCreators/web-stories-wp/commit/ad49781c2a35c5c92ef704d4b621ab4e5cb77d68
RustFS is a distributed object storage system built in Rust. Prior to 1.0.0-beta.2, improper authorization in the UploadPartCopy operation allows copying objects across buckets without enforcing destination bucket restrictions on allowed copy sources. The implementation validates GetObject permission on the source bucket and PutObject on the destination bucket independently, but does not enforce any policy constraints on whether the destination bucket permits the specified copy source. This enables unauthorized cross-bucket data movement. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.0.0-beta.2.
In JBoss EAP 6 a security domain is configured to use a cache that is shared between all applications that are in the security domain. This could allow an authenticated user in one application to access protected resources in another application without proper authorization. Although this is an intended functionality, it was not clearly documented which can mislead users into thinking that a security domain cache is isolated to a single application.
Improper access controls on entries in Devolutions Server 2022.3.12 and earlier could allow an authenticated user to access sensitive data without proper authorization.
The Profile Builder – User Profile & User Registration Forms plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to sensitive information disclosure via the [user_meta] shortcode in versions up to, and including 3.9.0. This is due to insufficient restriction on sensitive user meta values that can be called via that shortcode. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level permissions, and above to retrieve sensitive user meta that can be used to gain access to a high privileged user account. This does require the Usermeta shortcode be enabled to be exploited.
The Get Custom Field Values WordPress plugin before 4.0 allows users with a role as low as Contributor to access other posts metadata without validating the permissions. Eg. contributors can access admin posts metadata.
Apache Airflow, versions before 2.6.3, is affected by a vulnerability that allows unauthorized read access to a DAG through the URL. It is recommended to upgrade to a version that is not affected
An incorrect permission check in Jenkins XebiaLabs XL Deploy Plugin 10.0.1 and earlier allows attackers with Generic Create permission to connect to an attacker-specified URL using attacker-specified credentials IDs obtained through another method, capturing Username/password credentials stored in Jenkins.
An incorrect permission check in Jenkins Matrix Authorization Strategy Plugin 2.6.5 and earlier allows attackers with Item/Read permission on nested items to access them, even if they lack Item/Read permission for parent folders.
The Tempo Operator's gateway component failed to consistently apply namespace-scoped redaction on some query API response paths when query RBAC was enabled, allowing an authenticated user to read span attributes belonging to other tenants' namespaces.
Mythic before 3.4.0.60 contains a broken hasura permission filter on the payload_build_step table with an always-satisfied _or condition that bypasses operation-scoped access controls. Authenticated operators and spectators can query payload_build_step to read step_stdout, step_stderr, step_name, and step_description across all operations on the server.
RabbitMQ is a messaging and streaming broker. Prior to 4.2.6, RabbitMQ AMQP 0-9-1 allows an existing consumer to keep receiving messages after OAuth token expiry or connection.update_secret refresh to reduced scopes because existing consumers are not canceled or reauthorized at delivery time after the channel user state changes. This issue is fixed in version 4.2.6.
Daytona is a secure and elastic infrastructure runtime for AI-generated code execution and agent workflows. Prior to 0.185.0, a cross-tenant authorization flaw in Daytona's notification WebSocket gateway allowed any authenticated user to subscribe to another organization's realtime notification channel and passively receive that organization's events. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.185.0.
Kestra is an open-source, event-driven orchestration platform. Prior to 1.0.45 and 1.3.21, the previewFileFromExecution endpoint (GET /api/v1/{tenant}/executions/{executionId}/file/preview) contains an access control bypass that allows any authenticated user to read output files from any other execution within the same tenant, bypassing execution-level and namespace-level isolation. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.0.45 and 1.3.21.
Sentry is an error tracking and performance monitoring platform. Starting in version 8.21.0 and prior to version 23.5.2, an authenticated user can download a debug or artifact bundle from arbitrary organizations and projects with a known bundle ID. The user does not need to be a member of the organization or have permissions on the project. A patch was issued in version 23.5.2 to ensure authorization checks are properly scoped on requests to retrieve debug or artifact bundles. Authenticated users who do not have the necessary permissions on the particular project are no longer able to download them. Sentry SaaS users do not need to take any action. Self-Hosted Sentry users should upgrade to version 23.5.2 or higher.
Incorrect Authorization vulnerability allows users to access workflow instance information belonging to projects they do not have permission to access. This issue affects Apache DolphinScheduler versions prior to 3.4.2. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 3.4.2, which fixes this issue.
Improper Access Control in /tc/rpc in Jedox GmbH Jedox 2020.2.5 allows remote authenticated users to view details of database connections via class 'com.jedox.etl.mngr.Connections' and method 'getGlobalConnection'.
phpMyFAQ before 4.1.2 contains an authorization bypass vulnerability in AbstractAdministrationController::userHasPermission() that fails to terminate execution after sending a forbidden response. Attackers can access all permission-protected admin pages by requesting their URLs as authenticated users, exposing admin logs, user data, system information, and application configuration.
Outline is a service that allows for collaborative documentation. Prior to 1.7.0, the shares.create API accepts both collectionId and documentId simultaneously and, when published=false, only verifies read access for each—skipping the "share" permission check. A subsequent shares.update authorizes publication using an OR policy (can share collection OR can share document), so an attacker who holds share permission on one unrelated collection can publish a share that exposes an arbitrary document they cannot legitimately share, making it publicly accessible to unauthenticated users. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.7.0.
Grav is a file-based Web platform. Prior to 2.0.0-beta.2, a low-privileged user (EX: Content Editor with only pages.update permissions) can bypass the existing Twig sandbox restrictions by utilizing the grav['accounts'] service. Attacker can programmatically load administrative user objects and extract sensitive data, including Bcrypt password hashes and the security salt. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.0.0-beta.2.
Hatchet is a platform for orchestrating background tasks, AI agents, and durable workflows at scale. Prior to 0.83.39, a missing authorization directive on the GET /api/v1/stable/dags/tasks endpoint caused Hatchet's tenant-membership check to be skipped for this route. A user authenticated to any tenant on the same Hatchet instance could query the endpoint with another tenant's UUID and a DAG UUID belonging to that tenant, and receive task metadata for that DAG. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.83.39.
OSIsoft PI Vision 2020 versions prior to 3.5.0 could disclose information to a user with insufficient privileges for an AF attribute.
A missing permission check in Jenkins Pipeline Maven Integration Plugin 3.8.2 and earlier allows users with Overall/Read access to enumerate credentials ID of credentials stored in Jenkins.
OpenClaw before 2026.3.25 contains an authorization bypass vulnerability in the HTTP /sessions/:sessionKey/history route that skips operator.read scope validation. Attackers can access session history without proper operator read permissions by sending HTTP requests to the vulnerable endpoint.
