Incorrect Authorization issue exists in the API key based security model for Remote Cluster Security, which is currently in Beta, in Elasticsearch 8.10.0 and before 8.13.0. This allows a malicious user with a valid API key for a remote cluster configured to use the new Remote Cluster Security to read arbitrary documents from any index on the remote cluster, and only if they use the Elasticsearch custom transport protocol to issue requests with the target index ID, the shard ID and the document ID. None of Elasticsearch REST API endpoints are affected by this issue.

This vulnerability is due to improper enforcement of administrative privilege levels for high-value sensitive data. An attacker with read-only Administrator privileges for the web-based management interface on an affected device could exploit this vulnerability by browsing to a page that contains sensitive data. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to collect sensitive information regarding the configuration of the system.
The License Manager for WooCommerce plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized access of data due to a missing capability check on the showLicenseKey() and showAllLicenseKeys() functions in all versions up to, and including, 3.0.6. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with admin dashboard access (contributors by default due to WooCommerce) to view arbitrary decrypted license keys. The functions contain a referrer nonce check. However, these can be retrieved via the dashboard through the "license" JS variable. Please note that the version in trunk is patched, however, the 3.0.7 tagged version is not.

The Web Stories for WordPress plugin supports the WordPress built-in functionality of protecting content with a password. The content is then only accessible to website visitors after entering the password. In WordPress, users with the "Author" role can create stories, but don't have the ability to edit password protected stories. The vulnerability allowed users with said role to bypass this permission check when trying to duplicate the protected story in the plugin's own dashboard, giving them access to the seemingly protected content. The Profile Builder – User Profile & User Registration Forms plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to sensitive information disclosure via the [user_meta] shortcode in versions up to, and including 3.9.0. This is due to insufficient restriction on sensitive user meta values that can be called via that shortcode. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level permissions, and above to retrieve sensitive user meta that can be used to gain access to a high privileged user account. This does require the Usermeta shortcode be enabled to be exploited.

SurrealDB versions before 3.1.4 fail to properly enforce SELECT permissions on array elements (field.*) for record users, leaking denied array elements instead of hiding them. Attackers with record scope access can read array elements that element-level permissions should deny by exploiting incorrect index handling during permission filtering.
Smart eVision has inadequate authorization for the database query function. A remote attacker with general user privilege, who is not explicitly authorized to access the information, can access sensitive information.
SurrealDB before 3.1.0 evaluates user-supplied WHERE clauses in SELECT statements (and SET/MERGE/CONTENT/PATCH clauses in UPDATE, UPSERT, INSERT ON DUPLICATE KEY UPDATE, and RELATE update-variant statements) against full record data before enforcing PERMISSIONS FOR SELECT WHERE restrictions. An authenticated user — including Record and Scope users — can exploit this ordering flaw to read the full contents of any table in the database they are authenticated against, bypassing table-level permission checks. Exfiltration is most direct when scripting functions are enabled (--allow-scripting), but is also possible via SurrealQL's THROW statement and timing-based side channels without scripting. The vulnerability is confined to the attacker's current database and does not cross namespace or database isolation boundaries.
etcd is a distributed key-value store for the data of a distributed system. Prior to versions 3.4.42, 3.5.28, and 3.6.9, an authenticated user with RBAC restricted permissions on key ranges can use nested transactions to bypass all key-level authorization. This allows any authenticated user with direct access to etcd to effectively ignore all key range restrictions, accessing the entire etcd data store. Kubernetes does not rely on etcd’s built-in authentication and authorization. Instead, the API server handles authentication and authorization itself, so typical Kubernetes deployments are not affected. Versions 3.4.42, 3.5.28, and 3.6.9 contain a patch. If upgrading is not immediately possible, reduce exposure by treating the affected RPCs as unauthenticated in practice. Restrict network access to etcd server ports so only trusted components can connect and require strong client identity at the transport layer, such as mTLS with tightly scoped client certificate distribution.

Prior to versions 2026.3.0-latest.1, 2026.2.1, and 2026.1.2, a non-staff user with elevated group membership could access deleted posts belonging to any user due to an overly broad authorization check on the deleted posts index endpoint. Versions 2026.3.0-latest.1, 2026.2.1, and 2026.1.2 contain a patch. No known workarounds are available.
File Browser is a file managing interface for uploading, deleting, previewing, renaming, and editing files within a specified directory. Versions 2.61.0 and below contain a permission enforcement bypass which allows users who are denied download privileges (perm.download = false) but granted share privileges (perm.share = true) to exfiltrate file content by creating public share links. While the direct raw download endpoint (/api/raw/) correctly enforces the download permission, the share creation endpoint only checks Perm.Share, and the public download handler (/api/public/dl/<hash>) serves file content without verifying that the original file owner has download permission. This means any authenticated user with share access can circumvent download restrictions by sharing a file and then retrieving it via the unauthenticated public download URL. The vulnerability undermines data-loss prevention and role-separation policies, as restricted users can publicly distribute files they are explicitly blocked from downloading directly. This issue has been fixed in version 2.62.0.

Attackers can exploit this cross-context authorization flaw by using a sender approved via DM pairing to satisfy group sender allowlist checks without explicit presence in groupAllowFrom, bypassing group message access controls.
OliveTin gives access to predefined shell commands from a web interface. In 3000.10.2 and earlier, OliveTin’s live EventStream broadcasts execution events and action output to authenticated dashboard subscribers without enforcing per-action authorization. A low-privileged authenticated user can receive output from actions they are not allowed to view, resulting in broken access control and sensitive information disclosure.
OpenEMR is a free and open source electronic health records and medical practice management application. Prior to 8.0.0.1, sensitivity checks for group encounters are broken because the code only consults form_encounter for sensitivity, while group encounters store sensitivity in form_groups_encounter. As a result, sensitivity is never correctly applied to group encounters, and users who should be restricted from viewing sensitive (e.g. mental health) encounters can view them. This vulnerability is fixed in 8.0.0.1.
Copyparty is a portable file server. Prior to 1.20.12, there was a missing permission-check in the shares feature (the shr global-option). This vulnerability only applies when the shares feature is used for the specific purpose of creating a share of just a single file inside a folder or either the FTP or SFTP server is enabled, and also made publicly accessible. Given these conditions, when a user is browsing a share through either FTP or SFTP (not http or https), they can gain read-access to the remaining files inside the shared folder by guessing/bruteforcing the filenames. It was not possible to descend into subdirectories in this manner; only the sibling files were accessible. This vulnerability is similar to CVE-2025-58753 which was previously fixed for HTTP and HTTPS, but not for FTP. The FTPS server did not yet exist at that time. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.20.12.

Discourse is an open-source discussion platform. Versions prior to 2026.3.0-latest.1, 2026.2.1, and 2026.1.2 have a security flaw in the discourse-policy plugin which allowed a user with policy creation permission to gain membership access to any private/restricted groups. Once membership to a private/restricted group has been obtained, the user will be able to read private topics that only the group has access to. Versions 2026.3.0-latest.1, 2026.2.1, and 2026.1.2 contain a patch. As a workaround, review all policies for the use of `add-users-to-group` and temporarily remove the attribute from the policy. Alternatively, disable the discourse-policy plugin by disabling the `policy_enabled` site setting.

vaultwarden is an unofficial Bitwarden compatible server written in Rust, formerly known as bitwarden_rs. Prior to 1.35.3, a regular organization member can retrieve all ciphers within an organization, regardless of collection permissions. The endpoint /ciphers/organization-details is accessible to any organization member and internally uses Cipher::find_by_org to retrieve all ciphers. These ciphers are returned with CipherSyncType::Organization without enforcing collection-level access control. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.35.3.
DeepAudit is a multi-agent system for code vulnerability discovery. In 3.0.4 and earlier, there is an improper access control vulnerability in the /api/v1/users/ endpoint allows any authenticated user to enumerate all users in the system and retrieve sensitive information including email addresses, phone numbers, full names, and role information.
Discourse is an open source discussion platform. In versions prior to 3.5.4, 2025.11.2, 2025.12.1, and 2026.1.0, non-admin moderators can view sensitive information in staff action logs that should be restricted to administrators only. The exposed information includes webhook payload URLs and secrets, API key details, site setting changes, private message content, restricted category names and structures, and private chat channel titles. This allows moderators to bypass intended access controls and extract confidential data by monitoring the staff action logs. With leaked webhook secrets, an attacker could potentially spoof webhook events to integrated services. This issue is patched in versions 3.5.4, 2025.11.2, 2025.12.1, and 2026.1.0. As a workaround, site administrators should review and limit moderator appointments to fully trusted users. There is no configuration-based workaround to prevent this access.
OpenEMR is a free and open source electronic health records and medical practice management application. Prior to version 8.0.0, an authorization bypass vulnerability in the FHIR CareTeam resource endpoint allows patient-scoped FHIR tokens to access care team data for all patients instead of being restricted to only the authenticated patient's data. This could potentially lead to unauthorized disclosure of Protected Health Information (PHI), including patient-provider relationships and care team structures across the entire system. The issue occurs because the `FhirCareTeamService` does not implement the `IPatientCompartmentResourceService` interface and does not pass the patient binding parameter to the underlying service, bypassing the patient compartment filtering mechanism. Version 8.0.0 contains a patch for this issue.

In Splunk AI Toolkit versions below 5.7.3, a low-privileged user that does not hold the 'admin' or 'power' roles could access confidential data that was restricted through `srchFilter` configurations on custom roles.<br><br>The app contains an `authorize.conf` configuration file with a `srchFilter` entry that modifies the built-in ‘user’ role. Because the Splunk platform combines inherited search filters with the `OR` SPL operator, the injected filter overrides more restrictive filters on child roles.

API Platform Core is the server component of API Platform: hypermedia and GraphQL APIs. Resource properties secured with the `security` option of the `ApiPlatform\Metadata\ApiProperty` attribute can be disclosed to unauthorized users. The problem affects most serialization formats, including raw JSON, which is enabled by default when installing API Platform. Custom serialization formats may also be impacted. Only collection endpoints are affected by the issue, item endpoints are not. The JSON-LD format is not affected by the issue. The result of the security rule is only executed for the first item of the collection. The result of the rule is then cached and reused for the next items. This bug can leak data to unauthorized users when the rule depends on the value of a property of the item. This bug can also hide properties that should be displayed to authorized users. This issue impacts the 2.7, 3.0 and 3.1 branches. Please upgrade to versions 2.7.10, 3.0.12 or 3.1.3. As a workaround, replace the `cache_key` of the context array of the Serializer inside a custom normalizer that works on objects if the security option of the `ApiPlatform\Metadata\ApiProperty` attribute is used.

fleetdm/fleet is an open source device management, built on osquery. All versions of fleet making use of the teams feature are affected by this authorization bypass issue. Fleet instances without teams, or with teams but without restricted team accounts are not affected. In affected versions a team admin can erroneously add themselves as admin, maintainer or observer on other teams. Users are advised to upgrade to version 4.13. There are no known workarounds for this issue.

This issue has been resolved by commit `eb83de20`. It is recommended that the HumHub is upgraded to 1.11.0, 1.10.4 or 1.9.4. There are no known workarounds for this issue.
Argo CD is a declarative, GitOps continuous delivery tool for Kubernetes. Argo CD starting with version 1.3.0 but before versions 2.1.11, 2.2.6, and 2.3.0 is vulnerable to a path traversal bug, compounded by an improper access control bug, allowing a malicious user with read-only repository access to leak sensitive files from Argo CD's repo-server. A malicious Argo CD user who has been granted `get` access for a repository containing a Helm chart can craft an API request to the `/api/v1/repositories/{repo_url}/appdetails` endpoint to leak the contents of out-of-bounds files from the repo-server. The malicious payload would reference an out-of-bounds file, and the contents of that file would be returned as part of the response. Contents from a non-YAML file may be returned as part of an error message. The attacker would have to know or guess the location of the target file. Sensitive files which could be leaked include files from other Applications' source repositories or any secrets which have been mounted as files on the repo-server. This vulnerability is patched in Argo CD versions 2.1.11, 2.2.6, and 2.3.0. The patches prevent path traversal and limit access to users who either A) have been granted Application `create` privileges or B) have been granted Application `get` privileges and are requesting details for a `repo_url` that has already been used for the given Application. There are currently no known workarounds.
n authorization flaw in Foreman's GraphQL API allows low-privileged users to access metadata beyond their assigned permissions. Unlike the REST API, which correctly enforces access controls, the GraphQL endpoint does not apply proper filtering, leading to an authorization bypass.
