A vulnerability has been identified in SINEC NMS (All versions < V1.0 SP2 Update 1). The affected system allows to delete arbitrary files or directories under a user controlled path and does not correctly check if the relative path is still within the intended target directory.
SharpZipLib (or #ziplib) is a Zip, GZip, Tar and BZip2 library. Starting version 1.0.0 and prior to version 1.3.3, a check was added if the destination file is under a destination directory. However, it is not enforced that `_baseDirectory` ends with slash. If the _baseDirectory is not slash terminated like `/home/user/dir` it is possible to create a file with a name thats begins as the destination directory one level up from the directory, i.e. `/home/user/dir.sh`. Because of the file name and destination directory constraints, the arbitrary file creation impact is limited and depends on the use case. Version 1.3.3 fixed this vulnerability.

bitcoind in Bitcoin Core through 0.21.0 can create a new file in an arbitrary directory (e.g., outside the ~/.bitcoin directory) via a dumpwallet RPC call. NOTE: this reportedly does not violate the security model of Bitcoin Core, but can violate the security model of a fork that has implemented dumpwallet restrictions
In wpa_supplicant and hostapd 2.9, forging attacks may occur because AlgorithmIdentifier parameters are mishandled in tls/pkcs1.c and tls/x509v3.c.
ResourceSpace before 4.2.2833 does not properly validate access keys, which allows remote attackers to bypass intended resource restrictions via unspecified vectors.
Vyper is a pythonic Smart Contract Language for the Ethereum virtual machine. In versions 0.3.10 and prior, using the `slice` builtin can result in a double eval vulnerability when the buffer argument is either `msg.data`, `self.code` or `<address>.code` and either the `start` or `length` arguments have side-effects. It can be easily triggered only with the versions `<0.3.4` as `0.3.4` introduced the unique symbol fence. No vulnerable production contracts were found. Additionally, double evaluation of side-effects should be easily discoverable in client tests. As such, the impact is low. As of time of publication, no fixed versions are available.
In the Jakarta Expression Language implementation 3.0.3 and earlier, a bug in the ELParserTokenManager enables invalid EL expressions to be evaluated as if they were valid.
In Ruby through 3.0 on Windows, a remote attacker can submit a crafted path when a Web application handles a parameter with TmpDir.
A relative path traversal vulnerability has been reported to affect QNAP NAS running QTS and QuTS hero. If exploited, this vulnerability allows attackers to modify files that impact system integrity. QNAP have already fixed this vulnerability in the following versions: QTS 4.5.2.1630 Build 20210406 and later QTS 4.3.6.1663 Build 20210504 and later QTS 4.3.3.1624 Build 20210416 and later QuTS hero h4.5.2.1638 Build 20210414 and later QNAP NAS running QTS 4.5.3 are not affected.
Vyper is a pythonic Smart Contract Language for the Ethereum virtual machine. In versions 0.3.10 and prior, incorrect values can be logged when `raw_log` builtin is called with memory or storage arguments to be used as topics. A contract search was performed and no vulnerable contracts were found in production. The `build_IR` function of the `RawLog` class fails to properly unwrap the variables provided as topics. Consequently, incorrect values are logged as topics. As of time of publication, no fixed version is available.
Improper limitation of a pathname to a restricted directory ('Path Traversal') vulnerability in webapi component in Synology DiskStation Manager (DSM) before 6.2.3-25426-3 allows remote attackers to write arbitrary files via unspecified vectors.
The netmask package before 2.0.1 for Node.js mishandles certain unexpected characters in an IP address string, such as an octal digit of 9. This (in some situations) allows attackers to bypass access control that is based on IP addresses. NOTE: this issue exists because of an incomplete fix for CVE-2021-28918.
DocsGPT is a GPT-powered chat for documentation. DocsGPT is vulnerable to unauthenticated limited file write in routes.py. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.8.1.
Opera before 11.10 allows remote attackers to hijack (1) searches and (2) customizations via unspecified third party applications.
The extract function in PHP before 5.2.15 does not prevent use of the EXTR_OVERWRITE parameter to overwrite (1) the GLOBALS superglobal array and (2) the this variable, which allows context-dependent attackers to bypass intended access restrictions by modifying data structures that were not intended to depend on external input, a related issue to CVE-2005-2691 and CVE-2006-3758.
Improper Input Validation vulnerability in Apache Tomcat.Tomcat from 11.0.0-M1 through 11.0.0-M11, from 10.1.0-M1 through 10.1.13, from 9.0.0-M1 through 9.0.81 and from 8.5.0 through 8.5.93 did not correctly parse HTTP trailer headers. A specially crafted, invalid trailer header could cause Tomcat to treat a single request as multiple requests leading to the possibility of request smuggling when behind a reverse proxy. Older, EOL versions may also be affected. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 11.0.0-M12 onwards, 10.1.14 onwards, 9.0.81 onwards or 8.5.94 onwards, which fix the issue.
Async Http Client (aka async-http-client) before 2.0.35 can be tricked into connecting to a host different from the one extracted by java.net.URI if a '?' character occurs in a fragment identifier. Similar bugs were previously identified in cURL (CVE-2016-8624) and Oracle Java 8 java.net.URL.

Directory traversal vulnerability in mod/tools/em/class.em_unzip.php in the unzip library in TYPO3 4.2.x before 4.2.16, 4.3.x before 4.3.9, and 4.4.x before 4.4.5 allows remote attackers to write arbitrary files via unspecified vectors.
Directory traversal vulnerability in Sapio Design Ltd. WebReflex 1.53 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files via a .. in an HTTP request.
Translate is a package that allows users to convert text to different languages on Node.js and the browser. Prior to version 3.0.0, an attacker controlling the second variable of the `translate` function is able to perform a cache poisoning attack. They can change the outcome of translation requests made by subsequent users. The `opt.id` parameter allows the overwriting of the cache key. If an attacker sets the `id` variable to the cache key that would be generated by another user, they can choose the response that user gets served. Version 3.0.0 fixes this issue.
qa-include/qa-install.php in Question2Answer before 1.7.5 allows remote attackers to create multiple user accounts.
TYPO3 before 4.1.14, 4.2.x before 4.2.13, 4.3.x before 4.3.4 and 4.4.x before 4.4.1 allows Spam Abuse in the native form content element.
Improper input validation vulnerability in Mangboard commerce package could lead to occur for abnormal request. A remote attacker can exploit this vulnerability to manipulate the total order amount into a negative number and then pay for the order.
ZOHO ManageEngine ADSelfService Plus before 4.5 Build 4500 allows remote attackers to reset user passwords, and consequently obtain access to arbitrary user accounts, by providing a user id to accounts/ValidateUser, and then providing a new password to accounts/ResetResult.
mod_ruid2 before 0.9.8 improperly handles file descriptors which allows remote attackers to bypass security using a CGI script to break out of the chroot.
Joomla! before 1.0.11 does not properly unset variables when the input data includes a numeric parameter with a value matching an alphanumeric parameter's hash value, which allows remote attackers to have an unspecified impact. NOTE: it could be argued that this vulnerability is due to a bug in the unset PHP command (CVE-2006-3017) and the proper fix should be in PHP; if so, then this should not be treated as a vulnerability in Joomla!.
The InfoCard module 1.0 for SimpleSAMLphp allows attackers to spoof XML messages by leveraging an incorrect check of return values in signature validation utilities.
An unauthenticated remote attacker can perform a log injection due to improper input validation. Only a certain log file is affected.
In JetBrains IntelliJ IDEA before 2023.3.3 a plugin for JetBrains Space was able to send an authentication token to an inappropriate URL
The server implementation of the EAP-MSCHAPv2 protocol in the eap-mschapv2 plugin in strongSwan 4.2.12 through 5.x before 5.3.4 does not properly validate local state, which allows remote attackers to bypass authentication via an empty Success message in response to an initial Challenge message.
del_query1.php in Telephone Directory 2008 allows remote attackers to delete arbitrary contacts via a direct request with a modified id variable.
A malicious host header in an incoming HTTP request could cause NiFi to load resources from an external server. The fix to sanitize host headers and compare to a controlled whitelist was applied on the Apache NiFi 1.5.0 release. Users running a prior 1.x release should upgrade to the appropriate release.
The PayPal Website Payments Standard functionality in the Ubercart module 5.x before 5.x-1.9 and 6.x before 6.x-2.1 for Drupal does not properly validate orders, which allows remote attackers to trigger unspecified "duplicate actions" via unknown vectors.
The multiauth module in SimpleSAMLphp 1.14.13 and earlier allows remote attackers to bypass authentication context restrictions and use an authentication source defined in config/authsources.php via vectors related to improper validation of user input.
DeStar 0.2.2-5 allows remote attackers to add arbitrary users via a direct request to config/add/CfgOptUser.
Whoogle Search is a self-hosted metasearch engine. Versions 0.8.3 and prior have a limited file write vulnerability when the configuration options in Whoogle are enabled. The `config` function in `app/routes.py` does not validate the user-controlled `name` variable on line 447 and `config_data` variable on line 437. The `name` variable is insecurely concatenated in `os.path.join`, leading to path manipulation. The POST data from the `config_data` variable is saved with `pickle.dump` which leads to a limited file write. However, the data that is saved is earlier transformed into a dictionary and the `url` key value pair is added before the file is saved on the system. All in all, the issue allows us to save and overwrite files on the system that the application has permissions to, with a dictionary containing arbitrary data and the `url` key value, which is a limited file write. Version 0.8.4 contains a patch for this issue.
A flaw was found in the way samba implemented DCE/RPC. If a client to a Samba server sent a very large DCE/RPC request, and chose to fragment it, an attacker could replace later fragments with their own data, bypassing the signature requirements.
IBM Security Guardium 10.0 and 10.1 processes patches, image backups and other updates without sufficiently verifying the origin and integrity of the code. IBM X-Force ID: 124742.
Bitcoin Core before 0.14 allows an attacker to create an ostensibly valid SPV proof for a payment to a victim who uses an SPV wallet, even if that payment did not actually occur. Completing the attack would cost more than a million dollars, and is relevant mainly only in situations where an autonomous system relies solely on an SPV proof for transactions of a greater dollar amount.
A vulnerability in the malware detection functionality within Advanced Malware Protection (AMP) of Cisco AsyncOS Software for Cisco Email Security Appliances (ESAs) could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause an email attachment containing malware to be delivered to the end user. The vulnerability is due to the failure of AMP to scan certain EML attachments that could contain malware. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending an email with a crafted EML attachment through the targeted device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to bypass the configured ESA email message and content filtering and allow the malware to be delivered to the end user. Vulnerable Products: This vulnerability affects Cisco AsyncOS Software for Cisco ESA, both virtual and hardware appliances, that are configured with message or content filters to scan incoming email attachments on the ESA. Cisco Bug IDs: CSCuz81533.
