Laminas Diactoros provides PSR HTTP Message implementations. In versions 2.18.0 and prior, 2.19.0, 2.20.0, 2.21.0, 2.22.0, 2.23.0, 2.24.0, and 2.25.0, users who create HTTP requests or responses using laminas/laminas-diactoros, when providing a newline at the start or end of a header key or value, can cause an invalid message. This can lead to denial of service vectors or application errors. The problem has been patched in following versions 2.18.1, 2.19.1, 2.20.1, 2.21.1, 2.22.1, 2.23.1, 2.24.1, and 2.25.1. As a workaround, validate HTTP header keys and/or values, and if using user-supplied values, filter them to strip off leading or trailing newline characters before calling `withHeader()`.
Pillow before 8.1.2 allows attackers to cause a denial of service (memory consumption) because the reported size of a contained image is not properly checked for an ICO container, and thus an attempted memory allocation can be very large.
Pillow before 8.1.2 allows attackers to cause a denial of service (memory consumption) because the reported size of a contained image is not properly checked for a BLP container, and thus an attempted memory allocation can be very large.

In Wireshark 3.2.0 to 3.2.1, 3.0.0 to 3.0.8, and 2.6.0 to 2.6.14, the WiMax DLMAP dissector could crash. This was addressed in plugins/epan/wimax/msg_dlmap.c by validating a length field.
Improper Input Validation vulnerability in Apache ActiveMQ, Apache ActiveMQ All, Apache ActiveMQ Stomp. A remote unauthenticated peer that can reach an exposed STOMP connector can trigger denial-of-service behavior by sending a negative content-length. For the NIO STOMP transport, an attacker can keep streaming body bytes and grow the per-connection command buffer beyond configured limits to cause OOM. For the blocking STOMP protocol, an error will instead force abnormal transport exception handling for the affected connection and closure. This issue affects Apache ActiveMQ: before 5.19.8, from 6.0.0 before 6.2.7; Apache ActiveMQ All: before 5.19.8, from 6.0.0 before 6.2.7; Apache ActiveMQ Stomp: before 5.19.8, from 6.0.0 before 6.2.7. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 6.2.7 or 5.19.8, which fixes the issue.
A vulnerability in the PDF archive parsing module in Clam AntiVirus (ClamAV) Software versions 0.101 - 0.102.2 could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause a denial of service condition on an affected device. The vulnerability is due to a stack buffer overflow read. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted PDF file to an affected device. An exploit could allow the attacker to cause the ClamAV scanning process crash, resulting in a denial of service condition.
A vulnerability in the ARJ archive parsing module in Clam AntiVirus (ClamAV) Software versions 0.102.2 could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause a denial of service condition on an affected device. The vulnerability is due to a heap buffer overflow read. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted ARJ file to an affected device. Valid Host header field can cause Apache Traffic Server to crash on some platforms. This issue affects Apache Traffic Server: from 9.2.0 through 9.2.5. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 9.2.6, which fixes the issue, or 10.0.2, which does not have the issue.
Matrix Synapse before 1.20.0 erroneously permits non-standard NaN, Infinity, and -Infinity JSON values in fields of m.room.member events, allowing remote attackers to execute a denial of service attack against the federation and common Matrix clients. If such a malformed event is accepted into the room's state, the impact is long-lasting and is not fixed by an upgrade to a newer version, requiring the event to be manually redacted instead. Since events are replicated to servers of other room members, the impact is not constrained to the server of the event sender.
An issue was discovered in the _send_secure_msg() function of yubihsm-shell through 2.0.2. The function does not validate the embedded length field of a message received from the device. This could lead to an oversized memcpy() call that will crash the running process. This could be used by an attacker to cause a denial of service.
Dovecot before 2.3.13 has Improper Input Validation in lda, lmtp, and imap, leading to an application crash via a crafted email message with certain choices for ten thousand MIME parts.
MediaWiki before 1.19.4 and 1.20.x before 1.20.3 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) by sending a specially crafted request.
LibRaw before 0.20-RC1 lacks a thumbnail size range check. This affects decoders/unpack_thumb.cpp, postprocessing/mem_image.cpp, and utils/thumb_utils.cpp. For example, malloc(sizeof(libraw_processed_image_t)+T.tlength) occurs without validating T.tlength.

A parsing issue with binary data in protobuf-java core and lite versions prior to 3.21.7, 3.20.3, 3.19.6 and 3.16.3 can lead to a denial of service attack. Inputs containing multiple instances of non-repeated embedded messages with repeated or unknown fields causes objects to be converted back-n-forth between mutable and immutable forms, resulting in potentially long garbage collection pauses. We recommend updating to the versions mentioned above.
Improper Input Validation vulnerability in Apache Software Foundation Apache Traffic Server.Ā The configuration optionĀ proxy.config.http.push_method_enabled didn't function.Ā However, by default the PUSH method is blocked in the ip_allow configuration file. This issue affects Apache Traffic Server: from 8.0.0 through 9.2.0. 8.x users should upgrade to 8.1.7 or later versions 9.x users should upgrade to 9.2.1 or later versions
Denial of Service due to improper input validation vulnerability for HTTP/2 requests in Apache Tomcat. When processing an HTTP/2 request, if the request exceeded any of the configured limits for headers, the associated HTTP/2 stream was not reset until after all of the headers had been processed. This issue affects Apache Tomcat: from 11.0.0-M1 through 11.0.0-M16, from 10.1.0-M1 through 10.1.18, from 9.0.0-M1 through 9.0.85, from 8.5.0 through 8.5.98.Ā Other, older, EOL versions may also be affected. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 11.0.0-M17, 10.1.19, 9.0.86 or 8.5.99 which fix the issue.
An improper input validation of theĀ p2c parameter in the Apache CXF JOSE code before 4.0.5, 3.6.4 and 3.5.9Ā allows an attacker to perform a denial of service attack by specifying a large value for this parameter in a token.Ā
Improper Input Validation vulnerability in Apache Kvrocks. The SETRANGE command didn't check if the `offset` input is a positive integer and use it as an index of a string. So it will cause the server to crash due to its index isĀ out of range. This issue affects Apache Kvrocks: through 2.11.1. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 2.12.0, which fixes the issue.
Apache Tomcat 8.5.0 to 8.5.63, 9.0.0-M1 to 9.0.43 and 10.0.0-M1 to 10.0.2 did not properly validate incoming TLS packets. When Tomcat was configured to use NIO+OpenSSL or NIO2+OpenSSL for TLS, a specially crafted packet could be used to trigger an infinite loop resulting in a denial of service.

Improper Input Validation vulnerability in accepting socket connections in Apache Traffic Server allows an attacker to make the server stop accepting new connections. This issue affects Apache Traffic Server 5.0.0 to 9.1.0.
HTTP/2 CONTINUATIONĀ DoS attack can cause Apache Traffic Server to consume more resources on the server.Ā Version from 8.0.0 through 8.1.9, from 9.0.0 through 9.2.3 areĀ affected. Users can set a new setting (proxy.config.http2.max_continuation_frames_per_minute) to limit the number of CONTINUATION frames per minute. Ā ATS does have a fixed amount of memory a request can use and ATS adheres to these limits in previous releases. Users are recommended to upgrade to versions 8.1.10 or 9.2.4 which fixes the issue.
The AsyncResponseWrapperImpl class in Apache Olingo versions 4.0.0 to 4.6.0 reads the Retry-After header and passes it to the Thread.sleep() method without any check. If a malicious server returns a huge value in the header, then it can help to implement a DoS attack.
In the GNU C Library (aka glibc or libc6) through 2.28, attempting to resolve a crafted hostname via getaddrinfo() leads to the allocation of a socket descriptor that is not closed. This is related to the if_nametoindex() function.
python before versions 2.7.15, 3.4.9, 3.5.6rc1, 3.6.5rc1 and 3.7.0 is vulnerable to catastrophic backtracking in pop3lib's apop() method. An attacker could use this flaw to cause denial of service.

An exploitable denial-of-service vulnerability exists in the way CoTURN 4.5.1.1 web server parses POST requests. A specially crafted HTTP POST request can lead to server crash and denial of service. An attacker needs to send an HTTP request to trigger this vulnerability.
NULL pointer exception in the IEEE 802.11 dissector in Wireshark 3.4.0 to 3.4.9 and 3.2.0 to 3.2.17 allows denial of service via packet injection or crafted capture file
NULL pointer exception in the Modbus dissector in Wireshark 3.4.0 to 3.4.9 and 3.2.0 to 3.2.17 allows denial of service via packet injection or crafted capture file
An issue was discovered in adns before 1.5.2. It overruns reading a buffer if a domain ends with backslash. If the query domain ended with \, and adns_qf_quoteok_query was specified, qdparselabel would read additional bytes from the buffer and try to treat them as the escape sequence. It would depart the input buffer and start processing many bytes of arbitrary heap data as if it were the query domain. Eventually it would run out of input or find some other kind of error, and declare the query domain invalid. But before then it might outrun available memory and crash. In principle this could be a denial of service attack.
