HashiCorp Nomad and Nomad Enterprise up to 0.10.2 incorrectly validated role/region associated with TLS certificates used for mTLS RPC, and were susceptible to privilege escalation. Fixed in 0.10.3.
Patch in third party library Consul requires 'enable-script-checks' to be set to False. This was required to enable a patch by the vendor. Without this setting the patch could be bypassed. This only affects GitLab-EE.
Vault’s Terraform Provider incorrectly set the default deny_null_bind parameter for the LDAP auth method to false by default, potentially resulting in an insecure configuration. If the underlying LDAP server allowed anonymous or unauthenticated binds, this could result in authentication bypass. This vulnerability, CVE-2025-13357, is fixed in Vault Terraform Provider v5.5.0.
The official vault docker images before 0.11.6 contain a blank password for a root user. System using the vault docker container deployed by affected versions of the docker image may allow a remote attacker to achieve root access with a blank password.
The official Consul Docker images 0.7.1 through 1.4.2 contain a blank password for a root user. System using the Consul Docker container deployed by affected versions of the Docker image may allow a remote attacker to achieve root access with a blank password.
go-getter up to 1.5.11 and 2.0.2 allowed protocol switching, endless redirect, and configuration bypass via abuse of custom HTTP response header processing. Fixed in 1.6.1 and 2.1.0.
HashiCorp Nomad and Nomad Enterprise versions 1.5.0 up to 1.5.2 allow unauthenticated users to bypass intended ACL authorizations for clusters where mTLS is not enabled. This issue is fixed in version 1.5.3.
HashiCorp Vault and Vault Enterprise 1.4.0 and 1.4.1, when configured with the GCP Secrets Engine, may incorrectly generate GCP Credentials with the default time-to-live lease duration instead of the engine-configured setting. This may lead to generated GCP credentials being valid for longer than intended. Fixed in 1.4.2.
HashiCorp Nomad and Nomad Enterprise version 0.2.0 up to 1.3.0 were impacted by go-getter vulnerabilities enabling privilege escalation through the artifact stanza in submitted jobs onto the client agent host. Fixed in 1.1.14, 1.2.8, and 1.3.1.
HashiCorp Terraform’s Vault Provider (terraform-provider-vault) did not correctly configure GCE-type bound labels for Vault’s GCP auth method. Fixed in 2.19.1.
HashiCorp’s go-getter library is vulnerable to argument injection when executing Git to discover remote branches. This vulnerability does not affect the go-getter/v2 branch and package.
HashiCorp Consul and Consul Enterprise 1.10.1 Raft RPC layer allows non-server agents with a valid certificate signed by the same CA to access server-only functionality, enabling privilege escalation. Fixed in 1.8.15, 1.9.9 and 1.10.2.

OpenBao is an open source identity-based secrets management system. Prior to version 2.5.3, OpenBao's Certificate authentication method, when a token renewal is requested and `disable_binding=true` is set, attempts to verify the current request's presented mTLS certificate matches the original. Token renewals for other authentication methods do not require any supplied login information. Due to incorrect matching, the certificate authentication method would allow renewal of tokens for which the attacker had a sibling certificate+key signed by the same CA, but which did not necessarily match the original role or the originally supplied certificate. This implies an attacker could still authenticate to OpenBao in a similar scope, however, token renewal implies that an attacker may be able to extend the lifetime of dynamic leases held by the original token. This attack requires knowledge of either the original token or its accessor. This vulnerability is original from HashiCorp Vault. This is addressed in v2.5.3. As a workaround, ensure privileged roles are tightly scoped to single certificates.
HashiCorp Vault and Vault Enterprise’s TLS certificate auth method did not initially load the optionally configured CRL issued by the role's CA into memory on startup, resulting in the revocation list not being checked if the CRL has not yet been retrieved. Fixed in 1.12.0, 1.11.4, 1.10.7, and 1.9.10.
"Vault and Vault Enterprise 1.8.0 through 1.8.8, and 1.9.3 allowed the PKI secrets engine under certain configurations to issue wildcard certificates to authorized users for a specified domain, even if the PKI role policy attribute allow_subdomains is set to false. Fixed in Vault Enterprise 1.8.9 and 1.9.4.
Vault and Vault Enterprise (“Vault”) TLS certificate auth method did not correctly validate client certificates when configured with a non-CA certificate as [+trusted certificate+|https://developer.hashicorp.com/vault/api-docs/auth/cert#certificate]. In this configuration, an attacker may be able to craft a malicious certificate that could be used to impersonate another user. Fixed in Vault Community Edition 1.20.1 and Vault Enterprise 1.20.1, 1.19.7, 1.18.12, and 1.16.23.
Boundary and Boundary Enterprise (“Boundary”) is vulnerable to session hijacking through TLS certificate tampering. An attacker with privileges to enumerate active or pending sessions, obtain a private key pertaining to a session, and obtain a valid trust on first use (TOFU) token may craft a TLS certificate to hijack an active session and gain access to the underlying service or application.
DroneScout ds230 Remote ID receiver from BlueMark Innovations is affected by an Improper Authentication vulnerability during the firmware update procedure. Specifically, the firmware update procedure ignores and does not check the validity of the TLS certificate of the HTTPS endpoint from which the firmware update package (.tar.bz2 file) is downloaded. An attacker with the ability to put himself in a Man-in-the-Middle situation (e.g., DNS poisoning, ARP poisoning, control of a node on the route to the endpoint, etc.) can trick the DroneScout ds230 to install a crafted malicious firmware update containing arbitrary files (e.g., executable and configuration) and gain administrative (root) privileges on the underlying Linux operating system. This issue affects DroneScout ds230 firmware from version 20211210-1627 through 20230329-1042.
The (1) update and (2) package-installation features in MODX Revolution 2.5.4-pl and earlier do not verify X.509 certificates from SSL servers, which allows man-in-the-middle attackers to spoof servers and trigger the execution of arbitrary code via a crafted certificate.
The D-Link DIR-615 device before v20.12PTb04 doesn't use SSL for any of the authenticated pages. Also, it doesn't allow the user to generate his own SSL Certificate. An attacker can simply monitor network traffic to steal a user's credentials and/or credentials of users being added while sniffing the traffic.
The Scalyr Agent before 2.1.10 has Missing SSL Certificate Validation because, in some circumstances, the openssl binary is called without the -verify_hostname option.
Hammer CLI, a CLI utility for Foreman, before version 0.10.0, did not explicitly set the verify_ssl flag for apipie-bindings that disable it by default. As a result the server certificates are not checked and connections are prone to man-in-the-middle attacks.
The Motorola MH702x devices, prior to version 2.0.0.301, do not properly verify the server certificate during communication with the support server which could lead to the communication channel being accessible by an attacker.
DoTls13CertificateVerify in tls13.c in wolfSSL before 4.7.0 does not cease processing for certain anomalous peer behavior (sending an ED22519, ED448, ECC, or RSA signature without the corresponding certificate). The client side is affected because man-in-the-middle attackers can impersonate TLS 1.3 servers.
The Zoom Client for Meetings for Windows in all versions before 5.3.0 fails to properly validate the certificate information used to sign .msi files when performing an update of the client. This could lead to remote code execution in an elevated privileged context.
packages/wekan-ldap/server/ldap.js in Wekan before 4.87 can process connections even though they are not authorized by the Certification Authority trust store,
libvirt version 2.3.0 and later is vulnerable to a bad default configuration of "verify-peer=no" passed to QEMU by libvirt resulting in a failure to validate SSL/TLS certificates by default.
FreshService macOS Agent < 4.4.0 and FreshServce Linux Agent < 3.4.0 are vulnerable to TLS Man-in-The-Middle via the FreshAgent client and scheduled update service.
Wazuh provisioning scripts and Dockerfiles contain an insecure transport vulnerability where curl is invoked with the -k/--insecure flag, disabling SSL/TLS certificate validation. Attackers with network access can perform man-in-the-middle attacks to intercept and modify downloaded dependencies or code during the build process, leading to remote code execution and supply chain compromise.
Hutool v5.7.18's HttpRequest was discovered to ignore all TLS/SSL certificate validation.
Improper validation of the cloud certificate chain in Mobile Connect allows man-in-the-middle attack to impersonate the legitimate Command Centre Server. This issue affects: Gallagher Command Centre Mobile Connect for Android 15 versions prior to 15.04.040; version 14 and prior versions.
offlineimap before 6.3.4 added support for SSL server certificate validation but it is still possible to use SSL v2 protocol, which is a flawed protocol with multiple security deficiencies.
A flaw was found in all versions of kubeclient up to (but not including) v4.9.3, the Ruby client for Kubernetes REST API, in the way it parsed kubeconfig files. When the kubeconfig file does not configure custom CA to verify certs, kubeclient ends up accepting any certificate (it wrongly returns VERIFY_NONE). Ruby applications that leverage kubeclient to parse kubeconfig files are susceptible to Man-in-the-middle attacks (MITM).
A flaw was found in keylime 5.8.1 and older. The issue in the Keylime agent and registrar code invalidates the cryptographic chain of trust from the Endorsement Key certificate to agent attestations.
Akerun - Smart Lock Robot App for iOS before 1.2.4 does not verify SSL certificates.
The TLS protocol, and the SSL protocol 3.0 and possibly earlier, as used in Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) 7.0, mod_ssl in the Apache HTTP Server 2.2.14 and earlier, OpenSSL before 0.9.8l, GnuTLS 2.8.5 and earlier, Mozilla Network Security Services (NSS) 3.12.4 and earlier, multiple Cisco products, and other products, does not properly associate renegotiation handshakes with an existing connection, which allows man-in-the-middle attackers to insert data into HTTPS sessions, and possibly other types of sessions protected by TLS or SSL, by sending an unauthenticated request that is processed retroactively by a server in a post-renegotiation context, related to a "plaintext injection" attack, aka the "Project Mogul" issue.
OpenText BizManager before 16.6.0.1 does not perform proper validation during the change-password operation. This allows any authenticated user to change the password of any other user, including the Administrator account.
Busybox contains a Missing SSL certificate validation vulnerability in The "busybox wget" applet that can result in arbitrary code execution. This attack appear to be exploitable via Simply download any file over HTTPS using "busybox wget https://compromised-domain.com/important-file".
Dell EMC Unisphere for PowerMax versions prior to 9.1.0.17, Dell EMC Unisphere for PowerMax Virtual Appliance versions prior to 9.1.0.17, and PowerMax OS Release 5978 contain an improper certificate validation vulnerability. An unauthenticated remote attacker may potentially exploit this vulnerability to carry out a man-in-the-middle attack by supplying a crafted certificate and intercepting the victim's traffic to view or modify a victim's data in transit.
cpp-httplib is a C++11 single-file header-only cross platform HTTP/HTTPS library. Prior to 0.37.2, when a cpp-httplib client is configured with a proxy and set_follow_location(true), any HTTPS redirect it follows will have TLS certificate and hostname verification silently disabled on the new connection. The client will accept any certificate presented by the redirect target — expired, self-signed, or forged — without raising an error or notifying the application. A network attacker in a position to return a redirect response can fully intercept the follow-up HTTPS connection, including any credentials or session tokens in flight. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.37.2.
Sunshine is a self-hosted game stream host for Moonlight. In versions prior to 2026.516.143833, the client-certificate authentication can be bypassed because of how OpenSSL verification results are handled. In src/crypto.cpp, the custom verify callback treats X509_V_ERR_UNABLE_TO_GET_ISSUER_CERT_LOCALLY, X509_V_ERR_CERT_NOT_YET_VALID, and X509_V_ERR_CERT_HAS_EXPIRED as success. This can allow an untrusted certificate to pass authentication and access protected HTTPS endpoints. This issue has been fixed in version 2026.516.143833.
Vasion Print (formerly PrinterLogic) Virtual Appliance Host versions prior to 22.0.1049 and Application versions prior to 20.0.2786 (VA and SaaS deployments) contain insecure defaults and code patterns that disable TLS/SSL certificate verification for communications to printers and internal microservices. In multiple places, the application sets libcurl/PHP transport options such that CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYHOST and CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYPEER are effectively disabled, and environment variables (for example API_*_VERIFYSSL=false) are used to turn off verification for gateway and microservice endpoints. As a result, the client accepts TLS connections without validating server certificates (and, in some cases, uses clear-text HTTP), permitting on-path attackers to perform man-in-the-middle (MitM) attacks. An attacker able to intercept network traffic between the product and printers or microservices can eavesdrop on and modify sensitive data (including print jobs, configuration, and authentication tokens), inject malicious payloads, or disrupt service. This vulnerability has been identified by the vendor as: V-2024-024 — Insecure Communication to Printers & Microservices.
A specially crafted x509 certificate can cause a single out of bounds byte overwrite in wolfSSL through 3.10.2 resulting in potential certificate validation vulnerabilities, denial of service and possible remote code execution. In order to trigger this vulnerability, the attacker needs to supply a malicious x509 certificate to either a server or a client application using this library.
Improper validation of server certificates in Canon EOS Network Setting Tool Version 1.5.0 or earlier
Improper validation of SSH host keys in Canon EOS Network Setting Tool Version 1.5.0 or earlier
Strimzi provides a way to run an Apache Kafka cluster on Kubernetes or OpenShift in various deployment configurations. In versions 0.49.0 through 0.50.0, when using a custom Cluster or Clients CA with a multistage CA chain consisting of multiple CAs, Strimzi incorrectly configures the trusted certificates for mTLS authentication on the internal as well as user-configured listeners. All CAs from the CA chain will be trusted. And users with certificates signed by any of the CAs in the chain will be able to authenticate. This issue affects only users using a custom Cluster or Clients CA with a multistage CA chain consisting of multiple CAs. It does not affect users using the Strimzi-managed Cluster and Clients CAs. It also does not affect users using custom Cluster or Clients CA with only a single CA (i.e., no CA chain with multiple CAs). This issue has been fixed in version 0.50.1. To workaround this issue, instead of providing the full CA chain as the custom CA, users can provide only the single CA that should be used.
