In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vduse: fix memory corruption in vduse_dev_ioctl() The "config.offset" comes from the user. There needs to a check to prevent it being out of bounds. The "config.offset" and "dev->config_size" variables are both type u32. So if the offset if out of bounds then the "dev->config_size - config.offset" subtraction results in a very high u32 value. The out of bounds offset can result in memory corruption.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ice: move netif_queue_set_napi to rtnl-protected sections Currently, netif_queue_set_napi() is called from ice_vsi_rebuild() that is not rtnl-locked when called from the reset. This creates the need to take the rtnl_lock just for a single function and complicates the synchronization with .ndo_bpf. At the same time, there no actual need to fill napi-to-queue information at this exact point. Fill napi-to-queue information when opening the VSI and clear it when the VSI is being closed. Those routines are already rtnl-locked. Also, rewrite napi-to-queue assignment in a way that prevents inclusion of XDP queues, as this leads to out-of-bounds writes, such as one below. Perl: perl for windows binary hijacking vulnerability

A vulnerability was found in Perl. This security issue occurs while Perl for Windows relies on the system path environment variable to find the shell (`cmd.exe`). When running an executable that uses the Windows Perl interpreter, Perl attempts to find and execute `cmd.exe` within the operating system. However, due to path search order issues, Perl initially looks for cmd.exe in the current working directory. This flaw allows an attacker with limited privileges to place`cmd.exe` in locations with weak permissions, such as `C:\ProgramData`. By doing so, arbitrary code can be executed when an administrator attempts to use this executable from these compromised locations.

MUNGE has a buffer overflow in message unpacking allows key leakage and credential forgery

MUNGE is an authentication service for creating and validating user credentials. From 0.5 to 0.5.17, local attacker can exploit a buffer overflow vulnerability in munged (the MUNGE authentication daemon) to leak cryptographic key material from process memory. With the leaked key material, the attacker could forge arbitrary MUNGE credentials to impersonate any user (including root) to services that rely on MUNGE for authentication. The vulnerability allows a buffer overflow by sending a crafted message with an oversized address length field, corrupting munged's internal state and enabling extraction of the MAC subkey used for credential verification. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.5.18.
