Various Issues Due To Exposed SMI Handler in AmdPspP2CmboxV2. The first issue can be leveraged to bypass the protections that have been put in place by previous UEFI phases to prevent direct access to the SPI flash. The second issue can be used to both leak and corrupt SMM memory thus potentially leading code execution in SMM
** UNSUPPORTED WHEN ASSIGNED ** A privilege escalation vulnerability in CxUIUSvc64.exe and CxUIUSvc32.exe of Synaptics audio drivers allows a local authorized attacker to load a DLL in a privileged process. Out of an abundance of caution, this CVE ID is being assigned to better serve our customers and ensure all who are still running this product understand that the product is End-of-Life and should be removed. Acronis True Image 2021 includes an OpenSSL component that specifies an OPENSSLDIR variable as a subdirectory within C:\jenkins_agent\. Acronis True Image contains a privileged service that uses this OpenSSL component. Because unprivileged Windows users can create subdirectories off of the system root, a user can create the appropriate path to a specially-crafted openssl.cnf file to achieve arbitrary code execution with SYSTEM privileges.
Macrium Reflect includes an OpenSSL component that specifies an OPENSSLDIR variable as C:\openssl\. Macrium Reflect contains a privileged service that uses this OpenSSL component. Because unprivileged Windows users can create subdirectories off of the system root, a user can create the appropriate path to a specially-crafted openssl.cnf file to achieve arbitrary code execution with SYSTEM privileges.
Acronis Cyber Backup 12.5 and Cyber Protect 15 include an OpenSSL component that specifies an OPENSSLDIR variable as a subdirectory within C:\jenkins_agent\. Acronis Cyber Backup and Cyber Protect contain a privileged service that uses this OpenSSL component. Because unprivileged Windows users can create subdirectories off of the system root, a user can create the appropriate path to a specially-crafted openssl.cnf file to achieve arbitrary code execution with SYSTEM privileges.
The Adobe ColdFusion installer fails to set a secure access-control list (ACL) on the default installation directory, such as C:\ColdFusion2021\. By default, unprivileged users can create files in this directory structure, which creates a privilege-escalation vulnerability.

Improper access control in Windows Routing and Remote Access Service (RRAS) allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally.
Improper access control in Windows Ancillary Function Driver for WinSock allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally.
A vulnerability in the configuration file protections of Cisco Virtualized Infrastructure Manager (VIM) could allow an authenticated, local attacker to access confidential information and elevate privileges on an affected device. This vulnerability is due to improper access permissions for certain configuration files. An attacker with low-privileged credentials could exploit this vulnerability by accessing an affected device and reading the affected configuration files. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to obtain internal database credentials, which the attacker could use to view and modify the contents of the database. The attacker could use this access to the database to elevate privileges on the affected device.
In startNextMatchingActivity of ActivityTaskManagerService.java, there is a possible way to bypass the restrictions on starting activities from the background due to a logic error in the code. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.
It was discovered that the SteelCentral AppInternals Dynamic Sampling Agent (DSA) uses the ".debug_command.config" file to store a json string that contains a list of IDs and pre-configured commands. The config file is subsequently used by the "/api/appInternals/1.0/agent/configuration" API to map the corresponding ID to a command to be executed.
Dell Command | Configure versions prior to 4.11.0, contain an improper access control vulnerability. A local malicious standard user could potentially exploit this vulnerability while repairing/changing installation, leading to privilege escalation.
Dell Repository Manager, 3.4.3 and prior, contains an Improper Access Control vulnerability in its installation module. A local low-privileged attacker could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to gaining escalated privileges.
A flaw was found in the way the dumpable flag setting was handled when certain SUID binaries executed its descendants. The prerequisite is a SUID binary that sets real UID equal to effective UID, and real GID equal to effective GID. The descendant will then have a dumpable value set to 1. As a result, if the descendant process crashes and core_pattern is set to a relative value, its core dump is stored in the current directory with uid:gid permissions. An unprivileged local user with eligible root SUID binary could use this flaw to place core dumps into root-owned directories, potentially resulting in escalation of privileges.
A low-privileged OS user with access to a Windows host where NETGEAR ProSAFE Network Management System is installed can create arbitrary JSP files in a Tomcat web application directory. The user can then execute the JSP files under the security context of SYSTEM.
Improper access control in Windows Admin Center allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally.
In permissions of AndroidManifest.xml, there is a possible way to grant signature permissions due to a permissions bypass. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.Product: AndroidVersions: Android-13Android ID: A-244216503
Improper access control in Windows Client-Side Caching (CSC) Service allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally.
GE Communicator, all versions prior to 4.0.517, allows a non-administrative user to replace the uninstaller with a malicious version, which could allow an attacker to gain administrator privileges to the system.
Dell OpenManage Server Administrator, versions 11.0.0.0 and prior, contains an Improper Access Control vulnerability. A local low-privileged malicious user could potentially exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code in order to elevate privileges on the system. Exploitation may lead to a complete system compromise.
An issue in Shirt Pocket's SuperDuper! 3.10 and earlier allow a local attacker to modify the default task template to execute an arbitrary preflight script with root privileges and Full Disk Access, thus bypassing macOS privacy controls.

Improper access control in Windows Remote Access Connection Manager allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally.
Memory corruption in Automotive Multimedia due to improper access control in HAB.
While working on Apache OpenOffice 4.1.8 a developer discovered that the DEB package did not install using root, but instead used a userid and groupid of 500. This both caused issues with desktop integration and could allow a crafted attack on files owned by that user or group if they exist. Users who installed the Apache OpenOffice 4.1.8 DEB packaging should upgrade to the latest version of Apache OpenOffice.
Improper access control in Customer Experience Improvement Program (CEIP) allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally.

Improper access control vulnerability in Samsung Members prior to versions 2.4.85.11 in Android O(8.1) and below, and 3.9.10.11 in Android P(9.0) and above allows untrusted applications to cause local file inclusion in webview.
Electron Capture facilitates video playback for screen-sharing and capture. In versions 2.19.1 and below, the elecap app on macOS allows local unprivileged users to bypass macOS TCC privacy protections by enabling ELECTRON_RUN_AS_NODE. This environment variable allows arbitrary Node.js code to be executed via the -e flag, which runs inside the main Electron context, inheriting any previously granted TCC entitlements (such as access to Documents, Downloads, etc.). This issue is fixed in version 2.20.0.
