IPFire < v2.29 Command Injection via Proxy Report Creation

IPFire versions prior to 2.29 (Core Update 198) containĀ a command injection vulnerability that allows an authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary commands as the user 'nobody' via multiple parameters when creating a Proxy report. When a user creates a Proxy report the application issues an HTTP POST to /cgi-bin/logs.cgi/calamaris.dat and reads the values of DAY_BEGIN, MONTH_BEGIN, YEAR_BEGIN, DAY_END, MONTH_END, YEAR_END, NUM_DOMAINS, PERF_INTERVAL, NUM_CONTENT, HIST_LEVEL, NUM_HOSTS, NUM_URLS, and BYTE_UNIT, which are interpolated directly into the shell invocation of the mkreport helper. Because these parameters are never sanitized for improper characters or constructs, a crafted POST can inject shell metacharacters into one or more fields, causing arbitrary commands to run with the privileges of the 'nobody' user.

Pi-Hole AdminLTE Whitelist (now 'Web Allowlist') Remote Command Execution

An authenticated command injection vulnerability exists in Pi-hole versions up to 3.3. When adding a domain to the allowlist via the web interface, the domain parameter is not properly sanitized, allowing an attacker to append OS commands to the domain string. These commands are executed on the underlying operating system with the privileges of the Pi-hole service user. This behavior was present in the legacy AdminLTE interface and has since been patched in later versions.

Tiki Wiki CMS Authenticated Command Injection in Calendar Module

An authenticated command injection vulnerability exists in Tiki Wiki CMS versions ≤14.1, ≤12.4 LTS, ≤9.10 LTS, and ≤6.14 via the `viewmode` GET parameter in `tiki-calendar.php`. When the calendar module is enabled and an authenticated user has permission to access it, an attacker can inject and execute arbitrary PHP code. Successful exploitation leads to remote code execution in the context of the web server user.

NextCloud Cookbook's pull-checks.yml workflow is vulnerable to OS Command Injection

NextCloud Cookbook is a recipe library app. Prior to commit a46d9855 on the `master` branch and commit 489bb744 on the `main-0.9.x` branch, the `pull-checks.yml` workflow is vulnerable to command injection attacks because of using an untrusted `github.head_ref` field. The `github.head_ref` value is an attacker-controlled value. Assigning the value to `zzz";echo${IFS}"hello";#` can lead to command injection. Since the permission is not restricted, the attacker has a write-access to the repository. This issue is fixed in commit a46d9855 on the `master` branch and commit 489bb744 on the `main-0.9.x` branch. There is no risk for the user of the app within the NextCloud server. This only affects the main repository and possible forks of it. Those who have forked the NextCloud Cookbook repository should make sure their forks are on the latest version to prevent code injection attacks and similar.

[thi.ng/egf] Potential arbitrary code execution of `#gpg`-tagged property values

Potential for arbitrary code execution in npm package @thi.ng/egf `#gpg`-tagged property values (only if `decrypt: true` option is enabled). PR with patch has been submitted and will has been released as of v0.4.0 By default the EGF parse functions do NOT attempt to decrypt values (since GPG only available in non-browser env). However, if GPG encrypted values are used/required: 1. Perform a regex search for `#gpg`-tagged values in the EGF source file/string and check for backtick (\`) chars in the encrypted value string 2. Replace/remove them or skip parsing if present.
