xfrm: interface: fix use-after-free after changing collect_md xfrm interface

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfrm: interface: fix use-after-free after changing collect_md xfrm interface collect_md property on xfrm interfaces can only be set on device creation, thus xfrmi_changelink() should fail when called on such interfaces. The check to enforce this was done only in the case where the xi was returned from xfrmi_locate() which doesn't look for the collect_md interface, and thus the validation was never reached. Calling changelink would thus errornously place the special interface xi in the xfrmi_net->xfrmi hash, but since it also exists in the xfrmi_net->collect_md_xfrmi pointer it would lead to a double free when the net namespace was taken down [1]. Change the check to use the xi from netdev_priv which is available earlier in the function to prevent changes in xfrm collect_md interfaces. bpf: Fix hashtab overflow check on 32-bit arches

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Fix hashtab overflow check on 32-bit arches The hashtab code relies on roundup_pow_of_two() to compute the number of hash buckets, and contains an overflow check by checking if the resulting value is 0. However, on 32-bit arches, the roundup code itself can overflow by doing a 32-bit left-shift of an unsigned long value, which is undefined behaviour, so it is not guaranteed to truncate neatly. This was triggered by syzbot on the DEVMAP_HASH type, which contains the same check, copied from the hashtab code. So apply the same fix to hashtab, by moving the overflow check to before the roundup.

objtool, spi: amd: Fix out-of-bounds stack access in amd_set_spi_freq()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: objtool, spi: amd: Fix out-of-bounds stack access in amd_set_spi_freq() If speed_hz < AMD_SPI_MIN_HZ, amd_set_spi_freq() iterates over the entire amd_spi_freq array without breaking out early, causing 'i' to go beyond the array bounds. Fix that by stopping the loop when it gets to the last entry, so the low speed_hz value gets clamped up to AMD_SPI_MIN_HZ. Fixes the following warning with an UBSAN kernel: drivers/spi/spi-amd.o: error: objtool: amd_set_spi_freq() falls through to next function amd_spi_set_opcode()

bnxt_en: Fix memory corruption when FW resources change during ifdown

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bnxt_en: Fix memory corruption when FW resources change during ifdown bnxt_set_dflt_rings() assumes that it is always called before any TC has been created. So it doesn't take bp->num_tc into account and assumes that it is always 0 or 1. In the FW resource or capability change scenario, the FW will return flags in bnxt_hwrm_if_change() that will cause the driver to reinitialize and call bnxt_cancel_reservations(). This will lead to bnxt_init_dflt_ring_mode() calling bnxt_set_dflt_rings() and bp->num_tc may be greater than 1. This will cause bp->tx_ring[] to be sized too small and cause memory corruption in bnxt_alloc_cp_rings(). Fix it by properly scaling the TX rings by bp->num_tc in the code paths mentioned above. Add 2 helper functions to determine bp->tx_nr_rings and bp->tx_nr_rings_per_tc.

phy: tegra: xusb: Fix unbalanced regulator disable in UTMI PHY mode

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: phy: tegra: xusb: Fix unbalanced regulator disable in UTMI PHY mode When transitioning from USB_ROLE_DEVICE to USB_ROLE_NONE, the code assumed that the regulator should be disabled. However, if the regulator is marked as always-on, regulator_is_enabled() continues to return true, leading to an incorrect attempt to disable a regulator which is not enabled. This can result in warnings such as: [ 250.155624] WARNING: CPU: 1 PID: 7326 at drivers/regulator/core.c:3004 _regulator_disable+0xe4/0x1a0 [ 250.155652] unbalanced disables for VIN_SYS_5V0 To fix this, we move the regulator control logic into tegra186_xusb_padctl_id_override() function since it's directly related to the ID override state. The regulator is now only disabled when the role transitions from USB_ROLE_HOST to USB_ROLE_NONE, by checking the VBUS_ID register. This ensures that regulator enable/disable operations are properly balanced and only occur when actually transitioning to/from host mode.

The reference counting for the ringbuffer and the auxiliary buffer depends on this being correct. Though perf does not prevent that a related mapping is split via mmap(2), munmap(2) or mremap(2). A split of a VMA results in perf_mmap_open() calls, which take reference counts, but then the subsequent perf_mmap_close() calls are not longer fulfilling the offset and size checks. This leads to reference count leaks. As perf already has the requirement for subsequent mappings to match the initial mapping, the obvious consequence is that VMA splits, caused by resizing of a mapping or partial unmapping, have to be prevented. Implement the vm_operations_struct::may_split() callback and return unconditionally -EINVAL. That ensures that the mapping offsets and sizes cannot be changed after the fact. Remapping to a different fixed address with the same size is still possible as it takes the references for the new mapping and drops those of the old mapping.

platform/x86: asus-wmi: Fix racy registrations

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: platform/x86: asus-wmi: Fix racy registrations asus_wmi_register_driver() may be called from multiple drivers concurrently, which can lead to the racy list operations, eventually corrupting the memory and hitting Oops on some ASUS machines. Also, the error handling is missing, and it forgot to unregister ACPI lps0 dev ops in the error case. This patch covers those issues by introducing a simple mutex at acpi_wmi_register_driver() & *_unregister_driver, and adding the proper call of asus_s2idle_check_unregister() in the error path.

fbcon: fix integer overflow in fbcon_do_set_font

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fbcon: fix integer overflow in fbcon_do_set_font Fix integer overflow vulnerabilities in fbcon_do_set_font() where font size calculations could overflow when handling user-controlled font parameters. The vulnerabilities occur when: 1. CALC_FONTSZ(h, pitch, charcount) performs h * pith * charcount multiplication with user-controlled values that can overflow. 2. FONT_EXTRA_WORDS * sizeof(int) + size addition can also overflow 3. This results in smaller allocations than expected, leading to buffer overflows during font data copying. Add explicit overflow checking using check_mul_overflow() and check_add_overflow() kernel helpers to safety validate all size calculations before allocation.

tcp_bpf: Call sk_msg_free() when tcp_bpf_send_verdict() fails to allocate psock->cork.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tcp_bpf: Call sk_msg_free() when tcp_bpf_send_verdict() fails to allocate psock->cork. syzbot reported the splat below. [0] The repro does the following: 1. Load a sk_msg prog that calls bpf_msg_cork_bytes(msg, cork_bytes) 2. Attach the prog to a SOCKMAP 3. Add a socket to the SOCKMAP 4. Activate fault injection 5. Send data less than cork_bytes At 5., the data is carried over to the next sendmsg() as it is smaller than the cork_bytes specified by bpf_msg_cork_bytes(). Then, tcp_bpf_send_verdict() tries to allocate psock->cork to hold the data, but this fails silently due to fault injection + __GFP_NOWARN. If the allocation fails, we need to revert the sk->sk_forward_alloc change done by sk_msg_alloc(). Let's call sk_msg_free() when tcp_bpf_send_verdict fails to allocate psock->cork. The "*copied" also needs to be updated such that a proper error can be returned to the caller, sendmsg. It fails to allocate psock->cork. Nothing has been corked so far, so this patch simply sets "*copied" to 0. xfs: do not propagate ENODATA disk errors into xattr code

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfs: do not propagate ENODATA disk errors into xattr code ENODATA (aka ENOATTR) has a very specific meaning in the xfs xattr code; namely, that the requested attribute name could not be found. However, a medium error from disk may also return ENODATA. At best, this medium error may escape to userspace as "attribute not found" when in fact it's an IO (disk) error. At worst, we may oops in xfs_attr_leaf_get() when we do: error = xfs_attr_leaf_hasname(args, &bp); if (error == -ENOATTR) { xfs_trans_brelse(args->trans, bp); return error; } because an ENODATA/ENOATTR error from disk leaves us with a null bp, and the xfs_trans_brelse will then null-deref it. As discussed on the list, we really need to modify the lower level IO functions to trap all disk errors and ensure that we don't let unique errors like this leak up into higher xfs functions - many like this should be remapped to EIO. However, this patch directly addresses a reported bug in the xattr code, and should be safe to backport to stable kernels. A larger-scope patch to handle more unique errors at lower levels can follow later. (Note, prior to 07120f1abdff we did not oops, but we did return the wrong error code to userspace.)

lib/crypto: arm/poly1305: Fix register corruption in no-SIMD contexts

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: lib/crypto: arm/poly1305: Fix register corruption in no-SIMD contexts Restore the SIMD usability check that was removed by commit 773426f4771b ("crypto: arm/poly1305 - Add block-only interface"). This safety check is cheap and is well worth eliminating a footgun. While the Poly1305 functions should not be called when SIMD registers are unusable, if they are anyway, they should just do the right thing instead of corrupting random tasks' registers and/or computing incorrect MACs. Fixing this is also needed for poly1305_kunit to pass. Just use may_use_simd() instead of the original crypto_simd_usable(), since poly1305_kunit won't rely on crypto_simd_disabled_for_test.

scsi: lpfc: Fix buffer free/clear order in deferred receive path

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: lpfc: Fix buffer free/clear order in deferred receive path Fix a use-after-free window by correcting the buffer release sequence in the deferred receive path. The code freed the RQ buffer first and only then cleared the context pointer under the lock. Concurrent paths (e.g., ABTS and the repost path) also inspect and release the same pointer under the lock, so the old order could lead to double-free/UAF. Note that the repost path already uses the correct pattern: detach the pointer under the lock, then free it after dropping the lock. The deferred path should do the same.
