A Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) and Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability exists when Power BI Report Server Template file (pbix) containing HTML files is uploaded to the server and HTML files are accessed directly by the victim. Combining these 2 vulnerabilities together, an attacker is able to upload malicious Power BI templates files to the server using the victim's session and run scripts in the security context of the user and perform privilege escalation in case the victim has admin privileges when the victim access one of the HTML files present in the malicious Power BI template uploaded. The security update addresses the vulnerability by helping to ensure that Power BI Report Server properly sanitize file uploads.
ProsemirrorToHtml is a JSON converter which takes ProseMirror-compatible JSON and outputs HTML. In versions 0.2.0 and below, the `prosemirror_to_html` gem is vulnerable to Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks through malicious HTML attribute values. While tag content is properly escaped, attribute values are not, allowing attackers to inject arbitrary JavaScript code. Applications that use `prosemirror_to_html` to convert ProseMirror documents to HTML, user-generated ProseMirror content, and end users viewing the rendered HTML output are all at risk of attack. This issue is fixed in version 0.2.1.

An input neutralization vulnerability in the Server Name form and API Key form components of Crafty Controller allows a remote, authenticated attacker to perform stored XSS via malicious form input.
Kirby is an open source CMS. An editor with write access to the Kirby Panel can upload an SVG file that contains harmful content like `<script>` tags. The direct link to that file can be sent to other users or visitors of the site. If the victim opens that link in a browser where they are logged in to Kirby, the script will run and can for example trigger requests to Kirby's API with the permissions of the victim. This vulnerability is critical if you might have potential attackers in your group of authenticated Panel users, as they can escalate their privileges if they get access to the Panel session of an admin user. Depending on your site, other JavaScript-powered attacks are possible. Visitors without Panel access can only use this attack vector if your site allows SVG file uploads in frontend forms and you don't already sanitize uploaded SVG files. The problem has been patched in Kirby 3.5.4. Please update to this or a later version to fix the vulnerability. Frontend upload forms need to be patched separately depending on how they store the uploaded file(s). If you use `File::create()`, you are protected by updating to 3.5.4+. As a work around you can disable the upload of SVG files in your file blueprints.
React Router is a router for React. In @remix-run/react versions 1.15.0 through 2.17.0. and react-router versions 7.0.0 through 7.8.2, a XSS vulnerability exists in in React Router's meta()/<Meta> APIs in Framework Mode when generating script:ld+json tags which could allow arbitrary JavaScript execution during SSR if untrusted content is used to generate the tag. There is no impact if the application is being used in Declarative Mode (<BrowserRouter>) or Data Mode (createBrowserRouter/<RouterProvider>). This issue has been patched in @remix-run/react version 2.17.1 and react-router version 7.9.0.
luci-app-https-dns-proxy contains a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability in the resolver_url parameter that allows authenticated users to inject active HTML. When an administrator views the HTTPS DNS Proxy status page, the resolver URL is rendered as raw HTML and executes JavaScript in the administrator's browser origin.
WordPress is a free and open-source content management system written in PHP and paired with a MySQL or MariaDB database. In affected versions the widgets editor introduced in WordPress 5.8 beta 1 has improper handling of HTML input in the Custom HTML feature. This leads to stored XSS in the custom HTML widget. This has been patched in WordPress 5.8. It was only present during the testing/beta phase of WordPress 5.8.
WordPress is a free and open-source content management system written in PHP and paired with a MySQL or MariaDB database. ### Impact The issue allows an authenticated but low-privileged user (like contributor/author) to execute XSS in the editor. This bypasses the restrictions imposed on users who do not have the permission to post `unfiltered_html`. ### Patches This has been patched in WordPress 5.8, and will be pushed to older versions via minor releases (automatic updates). It's strongly recommended that you keep auto-updates enabled to receive the fix. ### References https://wordpress.org/news/category/releases/ https://hackerone.com/reports/1142140 ### For more information If you have any questions or comments about this advisory: * Open an issue in [HackerOne](https://hackerone.com/wordpress)
A vulnerability has been identified in Polarion V2404 (All versions < V2404.5), Polarion V2410 (All versions < V2410.2). The affected application allows arbitrary JavaScript code be included in document titles. This could allow an authenticated remote attacker to conduct a stored cross-site scripting attack by creating specially crafted document titles that are later viewed by other users of the application.
IBM Cognos Analytics 11.2.0, 12.0, and 12.1.0 and IBM Cognos Transformer 12.0, 11.2.4, and 12.1.0 is vulnerable to stored cross-site scripting (XSS) in Cognos Adminstration. This vulnerability allows a privileged user to embed arbitrary JavaScript code in the Web UI thus altering the intended functionality potentially leading to credentials disclosure within a trusted session.
An improper neutralization of input vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allowed cross-site scripting in GitHub Markdown that used `$$..$$` math blocks. Exploitation required access to the target GitHub Enterprise Server instance and privileged user interaction with the malicious elements. This vulnerability affected version 3.16.1 of GitHub Enterprise Server and was fixed in version 3.16.2. This vulnerability was reported via the GitHub Bug Bounty program.
Cotonti 1.0.0 (master branch, commit f43f1fc3) is vulnerable to stored Cross-Site Scripting in the Personal File Storage (PFS) module. A folder title (pff_title) is imported with the 'TXT' filter, which does not strip or encode HTML (the tag check in cot_import is disabled), so an authenticated user can store HTML/JavaScript in a folder title. In modules/pfs/inc/pfs.main.php the title is assigned to the template variable PFF_ROW_TITLE without htmlspecialchars(), and modules/pfs/tpl/pfs.tpl outputs {PFF_ROW_TITLE} unescaped. When the folder listing is viewed (including by other users for public folders), the injected script executes in the victim's browser.
Filament is a collection of full-stack components for accelerated Laravel development. From 3.0.0 until 3.3.53, a disabled RichEditor field rendered its raw state without sanitizing HTML. Where the data stored in this field's state isn't sanitized already when the form state was filled, an attacker could plant malicious HTML or JavaScript and achieve XSS that executes for users who view the form. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.3.53.
OpenEMR is a free and open source electronic health records and medical practice management application. A stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in versions prior to 7.0.3.4 allows any authenticated user with patient creation privileges to inject arbitrary JavaScript code into the system by entering malicious payloads in the First and Last Name fields during patient registration. This code is later executed when viewing the patient's encounter under Orders → Procedure Orders. Version 7.0.3.4 contains a patch for the issue.
Open WebUI is a self-hosted artificial intelligence platform designed to operate entirely offline. Prior to 0.9.6, Open WebUI patched SVG XSS in user profile images and webhook profile images but forgot to apply the same fix to model profile images. The ModelMeta class has no validate_profile_image_url field validator, and the model image serving endpoint has no MIME allowlist or nosniff header. Any authenticated user with workspace.models permission (enabled by default) can store a data:image/svg+xml;base64,... payload in a model's profile image and achieve full account takeover of anyone who navigates to the image URL. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.9.6.
ckeditor is an open source WYSIWYG HTML editor with rich content support. A vulnerability has been discovered in the clipboard Widget plugin if used alongside the undo feature. The vulnerability allows a user to abuse undo functionality using malformed widget HTML, which could result in executing JavaScript code. It affects all users using the CKEditor 4 plugins listed above at version >= 4.13.0. The problem has been recognized and patched. The fix will be available in version 4.16.2.
phpMyFAQ before 4.1.2 contains a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability in Utils::parseUrl() that allows authenticated users to inject JavaScript via malformed URLs in comments. Attackers can craft URLs with unescaped quotes to inject event handlers, stealing admin session cookies and achieving full application takeover when visitors view affected FAQ pages.
Budibase is an open-source low-code platform. Prior to 3.38.2, the file upload endpoint POST /api/attachments/process does not enforce active-content restrictions for authenticated users. The checks for dangerous file extensions are conditionally wrapped inside if (isPublicUser) or if (isPublicUser || !env.SELF_HOSTED), meaning any authenticated builder can upload executable web content — SVG files with inline <script> tags, HTML pages with JavaScript, .js modules — which are then stored in the object store (MinIO/S3) with their correct MIME types. When the resulting signed URL is opened by any app user, the browser executes the payload. Impact is persistent stored XSS over all application end users. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.38.2.
HTML injection in Project Release in Altium Enterprise Server (AES) 7.0.3 on all platforms allows an authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary JavaScript in the victim’s browser via crafted HTML content.
<p>A cross site scripting vulnerability exists when Microsoft Dynamics 365 (on-premises) does not properly sanitize a specially crafted web request to an affected Dynamics server. An authenticated attacker could exploit the vulnerability by sending a specially crafted request to an affected Dynamics server.</p> <p>The attacker who successfully exploited the vulnerability could then perform cross-site scripting attacks on affected systems and run script in the security context of the current authenticated user. These attacks could allow the attacker to read content that the attacker is not authorized to read, use the victim's identity to take actions within Dynamics Server on behalf of the user, such as change permissions and delete content, and inject malicious content in the browser of the user.</p> <p>The security update addresses the vulnerability by helping to ensure that Dynamics Server properly sanitizes web requests.</p>
Sourcecodehero Event Management System 1.0 allows Stored Cross-Site Scripting via parameters Full Name, Address, Email, and contact# in /clientdetails/admin/regester.php.
Xibo is an open source digital signage platform with a web content management system and Windows display player software. Prior to 4.4.2, a vulnerability chain consisting of Stored XSS and Iframe Sandbox escape in the Xibo CMS allows users with DataSet permissions to use the Data Connector functionality to craft messages which escape the sandbox and facilitate XSS. Exploitation of the vulnerability is possible on behalf of an authorized user who has both of the following privileges, which are not granted to non-admins as standard: Include "Add DataSet" button to allow for additional DataSets to be created independently to Layouts Users should upgrade to version 4.4.2 which fixes this issue. Upgrading to a fixed version is necessary to remediate. Users unable to upgrade should revoke such privileges from users they do not trust.
Chartbrew is an open-source web application that can connect directly to databases and APIs and use the data to create charts. In versions 4.9.0 through 5.0.0, an authenticated user with project-editor permissions can store arbitrary HTML/JavaScript in the `ChartDatasetConfig.legend` field. The payload is persisted verbatim in the database, propagated through the Chart.js rendering pipeline, and injected into the tooltip DOM element via an unguarded `innerHTML` assignment in `ChartTooltip.js`. Every unauthenticated viewer of the public dashboard triggers JavaScript execution on page load — no hover interaction is required. Browser-based Playwright verification confirmed `alert('localhost')` fires immediately and `<img src="x" onerror="alert(document.domain)">` is present in the `#chartjs-tooltip` DOM element. Version 5.0.1 contains a fix.
FreeScout is a free help desk and shared inbox built with PHP's Laravel framework. Prior to version 1.8.217, a user with updateAutoReply permission can store an XSS payload in the mailbox auto-reply message. The payload is rendered unescaped in the auto-reply email sent to every customer who contacts the mailbox. Email clients do not enforce CSP, so the payload executes in the customer's webmail / mail-client context. This issue has been patched in version 1.8.217.
WeGIA is a web manager for charitable institutions. In versions prior to 3.6.10, a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability allows an authenticated user to inject malicious JavaScript via the "Nome" field in the "Informações Pacientes" page. The payload is stored and executed when the patient information is viewed. Version 3.6.10 fixes the issue.
Improper neutralization of input during web page generation vulnerability in MagnusSolution MagnusBilling (Alarm Module modules) allows authenticated stored cross-site scripting. This vulnerability is associated with program files protected/components/MagnusLog.Php. This issue affects MagnusBilling: through 7.3.0.
An attacker able to influence values in RelyingPartyRegistration may be able to run arbitrary code on HTML forms generated by Spring Security filters. Affected versions: Spring Security 5.7.0 through 5.7.23; 5.8.0 through 5.8.25; 6.3.0 through 6.3.16; 6.4.0 through 6.4.16; 6.5.0 through 6.5.10; 7.0.0 through 7.0.5.
pwn.college is an education platform to learn about, and practice, core cybersecurity concepts in a hands-on fashion. Missing access control on rendering custom (unprivileged) dojo pages causes ability for users to create stored XSS.
SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence (BI Workspace) allows an unauthenticated attacker to craft and store malicious script within a workspace. When the victim accesses the workspace, the script will execute in their browser enabling the attacker to potentially access sensitive session information, modify or make browser information unavailable. This leads to a high impact on confidentiality and low impact on integrity, availability.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 (on-premises) Cross-site Scripting Vulnerability
File Browser provides a file managing interface within a specified directory and it can be used to upload, delete, preview, rename and edit files. The Markdown preview function of File Browser prior to v2.33.7 is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site-Scripting (XSS). Any JavaScript code that is part of a Markdown file uploaded by a user will be executed by the browser. Version 2.33.7 contains a fix for the issue.
ChurchCRM is an open-source church management system. Prior to 7.1.0, a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability exists in PersonView.php due to incorrect use of sanitizeText() as an output sanitizer for HTML attribute context. The function only strips HTML tags, it does not escape quote characters allowing an attacker to break out of the href attribute and inject arbitrary JavaScript event handlers. Any authenticated user with the EditRecords role can store the payload in a person's Facebook field. The XSS fires against any user who views that person's profile page, including administrators, enabling session hijacking and full account takeover. This vulnerability is fixed in 7.1.0.
A vulnerability classified as critical has been found in ChestnutCMS up to 1.5.2. This affects the function uploadFile of the file /dev-api/cms/file/upload. The manipulation of the argument file leads to unrestricted upload. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used.
OpenEMR is a free and open source electronic health records and medical practice management application. A stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in versions prior to 7.0.3.4 allows any authenticated user with patient creation and editing privileges to inject arbitrary JavaScript code into the system by entering malicious payloads in the (1) Text Box fields of Address, Address Line 2, Postal Code and City fields and (2) Drop Down menu options of Address Use, State and Country of the Additional Addresses section of the Contact tab in Patient Demographics. The injected script can execute in two scenarios: (1) dynamically during form input, and (2) when the form data is later loaded for editing. Version 7.0.3.4 contains a patch for the issue.
File Browser is a file managing interface for uploading, deleting, previewing, renaming, and editing files within a specified directory. Prior to version 2.62.2, the EPUB preview function in File Browser is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS). JavaScript embedded in a crafted EPUB file executes in the victim's browser when they preview the file. This issue has been patched in version 2.62.2.
The grafanacubism-panel plugin allows use of cubism.js in Grafana. In 0.1.2 and earlier, the panel's zoom-link handler passes a dashboard-editor-supplied URL directly to window.location.assign() / window.open() with no scheme validation. An attacker with dashboard Editor privileges can set the link to a javascript: URI; when any Viewer drag-zooms on the panel, the payload executes in the Grafana origin.
OneUptime is a solution for monitoring and managing online services. Prior to 10.0.23, the Markdown viewer component renders Mermaid diagrams with securityLevel: "loose" and injects the SVG output via innerHTML. This configuration explicitly allows interactive event bindings in Mermaid diagrams, enabling XSS through Mermaid's click directive which can execute arbitrary JavaScript. Any field that renders markdown (incident descriptions, status page announcements, monitor notes) is vulnerable. This vulnerability is fixed in 10.0.23.
Parse Server is an open source backend that can be deployed to any infrastructure that can run Node.js. Prior to 9.6.0-alpha.15 and 8.6.41, an attacker who is allowed to upload files can bypass the file extension filter by appending a MIME parameter (e.g. `;charset=utf-8`) to the `Content-Type` header. This causes the extension validation to fail matching against the blocklist, allowing active content to be stored and served under the application's domain. In addition, certain XML-based file extensions that can render scripts in web browsers are not included in the default blocklist. This can lead to stored XSS attacks, compromising session tokens, user credentials, or other sensitive data accessible via the browser's local storage. The fix in versions 9.6.0-alpha.15 and 8.6.41 strips MIME parameters from the `Content-Type` header before validating the file extension against the blocklist. The default blocklist has also been extended to include additional XML-based extensions (`xsd`, `rng`, `rdf`, `rdf+xml`, `owl`, `mathml`, `mathml+xml`) that can render active content in web browsers. Note that the `fileUpload.fileExtensions` option is intended to be configured as an allowlist of file extensions that are valid for a specific application, not as a denylist. The default denylist is provided only as a basic default that covers most common problematic extensions. It is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all potentially dangerous extensions. Developers should not rely on the default value, as new extensions that can render active content in browsers might emerge in the future. As a workaround, configure the `fileUpload.fileExtensions` option to use an allowlist of only the file extensions that your application needs, rather than relying on the default blocklist.
A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, was found in code-projects Chat System 1.0. This affects an unknown part of the file /admin/update_user.php. The manipulation of the argument name leads to cross site scripting. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used.
A stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in langgenius/dify version latest, specifically in the chat log functionality. The vulnerability arises because certain HTML tags like <input> and <form> are not disallowed, allowing an attacker to inject malicious HTML into the log via prompts. When an admin views the log containing the malicious HTML, the attacker could steal the admin's credentials or sensitive information. This issue is fixed in version 0.12.1.
Cross Site Scripting vulnerability in Key Systems Inc Global Facilities Management Software v. 20230721a allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code via the selectgroup and gn parameters on the /?Function=Groups endpoint.
A stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in the user profile text fields of Altium 365. Insufficient server-side input sanitization allows authenticated users to inject arbitrary HTML and JavaScript payloads using whitespace-based attribute parsing bypass techniques. The injected payload is persisted and executed when other users view the affected profile page, potentially allowing session token theft, phishing attacks, or malicious redirects. Exploitation requires an authenticated account and user interaction to view the crafted profile.
