A high security vulnerability affecting Security Center main server installations has been identified. It could allow an attacker with local OS privileges to the main server to access the Server Admin credentials. A third party hired by Genetec found the issue. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation. This vulnerability is associated with specific installation package builds rather than the product version identifier alone. Certain versions (including 5.10.4.0, 5.11.3.0, 5.12.2.0 and 5.13.3.0) were released with both vulnerable and remediated installation packages under the same version number. Consequently, version-based comparison alone is insufficient to determine exposure. Only installations performed using vulnerable builds are affected. Remediated builds can be distinguished using verified installation package hashes. For the complete list of fixed build hashes, refer to the security advisory section.

Insufficient folder permissions used by system functions in ABB System 800xA Base (version 6.1 and earlier) allow low privileged users to read, modify, add and delete system and application files. An authenticated attacker who successfully exploit the vulnerabilities could escalate his/her privileges, cause system functions to stop and to corrupt user applications.

The Auto Local Logon feature in Check Point VPN-1 SecuRemote/SecureClient NGX R60 and R56 for Windows caches credentials under the Checkpoint\SecuRemote registry key, which has Everyone/Full Control permissions, which allows local users to gain privileges by reading and reusing the credentials.
GPMAW 14, a bioinformatics software, has a critical vulnerability related to insecure file permissions in its installation directory. The directory is accessible with full read, write, and execute permissions for all users, allowing unprivileged users to manipulate files within the directory, including executable files like GPMAW3.exe, Fragment.exe, and the uninstaller GPsetup64_17028.exe. An attacker with user-level access can exploit this misconfiguration by replacing or modifying the uninstaller (GPsetup64_17028.exe) with a malicious version. While the application itself runs in the user's context, the uninstaller is typically executed with administrative privileges when an administrator attempts to uninstall the software. By exploiting this flaw, an attacker could gain administrative privileges and execute arbitrary code in the context of the admin, resulting in privilege escalation.

The I2O Utility Filter driver (i2omgmt.sys) 5.1.2600.2180 for Microsoft Windows XP sets Everyone/Write permissions for the "\\.\I2OExc" device interface, which allows local users to gain privileges. NOTE: this issue can be leveraged to overwrite arbitrary memory and execute code via an IOCTL call with a crafted DeviceObject pointer.
A vulnerability in Cisco SD-WAN Software could allow an authenticated, local attacker to elevate privileges to root group on the underlying operating system. The vulnerability is due to incorrect permissions being set when the affected command is executed. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by executing the affected command on an affected system. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to gain root privileges.

IBM Lotus Notes before 6.5.6, and 7.x before 7.0.3; and Domino before 6.5.5 FP3, and 7.x before 7.0.2 FP1; uses weak permissions (Everyone:Full Control) for memory mapped files (shared memory) in IPC, which allows local users to obtain sensitive information, or inject Lotus Script or other character sequences into a session.
A vulnerability in the TCL Android Smart TV series V8-R851T02-LF1 V295 and below and V8-T658T01-LF1 V373 and below by TCL Technology Group Corporation allows a local unprivileged attacker, such as a malicious App, to read & write to the /data/vendor/tcl, /data/vendor/upgrade, and /var/TerminalManager directories within the TV file system. An attacker, such as a malicious APK or local unprivileged user could perform fake system upgrades by writing to the /data/vendor/upgrage folder.
An incorrect permission assignment during the installation script of TeamworkCloud 18.0 thru 19.0 allows a local unprivileged attacker to execute arbitrary code as root. During installation, the user is instructed to set the system enviroment file with world writable permissions (0777 /etc/environment). Any local unprivileged user can execute arbitrary code simply by writing to /etc/environment, which will force all users, including root, to execute arbitrary code during the next login or reboot. In addition, the entire home directory of the twcloud user at /home/twcloud is recursively given world writable permissions. This allows any local unprivileged attacker to execute arbitrary code, as twcloud. This product was previous named Cameo Enterprise Data Warehouse (CEDW).
Issues were discovered in Open TFTP Server multithreaded 1.66 and Open TFTP Server single port 1.66. Due to insufficient access restrictions in the default installation directory, an attacker can elevate privileges by replacing the OpenTFTPServerMT.exe or the OpenTFTPServerSP.exe binary.
An issue was discovered in Dual DHCP DNS Server 7.40. Due to insufficient access restrictions in the default installation directory, an attacker can elevate privileges by replacing the DualServer.exe binary.
