xrdp is an open source RDP server. xrdp versions prior to 0.10.0 have a vulnerability that allows attackers to make an infinite number of login attempts. The number of max login attempts is supposed to be limited by a configuration parameter `MaxLoginRetry` in `/etc/xrdp/sesman.ini`. However, this mechanism was not effectively working. As a result, xrdp allows an infinite number of login attempts.
xrdp is an open source RDP server. xrdp before v0.10.5 contains an unauthenticated stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability. The issue stems from improper bounds checking when processing user domain information during the connection sequence. If exploited, the vulnerability could allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on the target system. The vulnerability allows an attacker to overwrite the stack buffer and the return address, which could theoretically be used to redirect the execution flow. The impact of this vulnerability is lessened if a compiler flag has been used to build the xrdp executable with stack canary protection. If this is the case, a second vulnerability would need to be used to leak the stack canary value. Upgrade to version 0.10.5 to receive a patch. Additionally, do not rely on stack canary protection on production systems.

xrdp is an open source RDP server. Versions through 0.10.5 contain a heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability in the NeutrinoRDP module. When proxying RDP sessions from xrdp to another server, the module fails to properly validate the size of reassembled fragmented virtual channel data against its allocated memory buffer. A malicious downstream RDP server (or an attacker capable of performing a Man-in-the-Middle attack) could exploit this flaw to cause memory corruption, potentially leading to a Denial of Service (DoS) or Remote Code Execution (RCE). The NeutrinoRDP module is not built by default. This vulnerability only affects environments where the module has been explicitly compiled and enabled. Users can verify if the module is built by checking for --enable-neutrinordp in the output of the xrdp -v command. This issue has been fixed in version 0.10.6.
xrdp is an open source RDP server. Versions 0.10.6 and prior contain a heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability within the virtual channel forwarding mechanism. When forwarding data from a remote client to the internal channel server, the xrdp process utilizes a fixed-size buffer without adequate bounds checking on the incoming payload. An authenticated remote attacker can exploit this flaw by sending a specially crafted virtual channel message that exceeds the buffer capacity, leading to heap memory corruption. This may result in a denial of service or the execution of arbitrary code with the privileges of the xrdp process. This issue has been fixed in version 0.10.6.1.
xrdp is an open source RDP server. Versions through 0.10.5 have a heap-based buffer overflow in the EGFX (graphics dynamic virtual channel) implementation due to insufficient validation of client-controlled size parameters, allowing an out-of-bounds write via crafted PDUs. Pre-authentication exploitation can crash the process, while post-authentication exploitation may achieve remote code execution. This issue has been fixed in version 0.10.6. If users are unable to immediately update, they should run xrdp as a non-privileged user (default since 0.10.2) to limit the impact of successful exploitation.
xrdp is an open source RDP server. Versions through 0.10.5 contain a heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability in its logon processing. In environments where domain_user_separator is configured in xrdp.ini, an unauthenticated remote attacker can send a crafted, excessively long username and domain name to overflow the internal buffer. This can corrupt adjacent memory regions, potentially leading to a Denial of Service (DoS) or unexpected behavior. The domain_name_separator directive is commented out by default, systems are not affected by this vulnerability unless it is intentionally configured. This issue has been fixed in version 0.10.6.

A heap-based overflow vulnerability exists in the PowerPoint document conversion function of Rainbow PDF Office Server Document Converter V7.0 Pro R1 (7,0,2018,1113). While parsing Document Summary Property Set stream, the getSummaryInformation function is incorrectly checking the correlation between size and the number of properties in PropertySet packets, causing an out-of-bounds write that leads to heap corruption and consequent code execution.
In Eclipse Mosquitto, from version 1.3.2 through 2.0.18, if a malicious broker sends a crafted SUBACK packet with no reason codes, a client using libmosquitto may make out of bounds memory access when acting in its on_subscribe callback. This affects the mosquitto_sub and mosquitto_rr clients.
NGINX JavaScript has a vulnerability when the js_fetch_proxy directive is configured with at least one client-controlled NGINX variable (for example, $http_*, $arg_*, $cookie_*) and a location invoking the ngx.fetch() operation from NGINX JavaScript. An unauthenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability by sending crafted HTTP requests. This may cause a heap buffer overflow in the NGINX worker process leading to a restart. Additionally, attackers can execute code on systems with Address Space Layout Randomization (ASLR) disabled or when the attacker can bypass ASLR. Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated.
Fuji Electric V-Server 4.0.3.0 and prior, A heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability has been identified, which may allow remote code execution.
Call to the scrypt_enc() function in HHVM can lead to heap corruption by using specifically crafted parameters (N, r and p). This happens if the parameters are configurable by an attacker for instance by providing the output of scrypt_enc() in a context where Hack/PHP code would attempt to verify it by re-running scrypt_enc() with the same parameters. This could result in information disclosure, memory being overwriten or crashes of the HHVM process. This issue affects versions 4.3.0, 4.4.0, 4.5.0, 4.6.0, 4.7.0, 4.8.0, versions 3.30.5 and below, and all versions in the 4.0, 4.1, and 4.2 series.
Fast DDS is a C++ implementation of the DDS (Data Distribution Service) standard of the OMG (Object Management Group ). Prior to versions 3.4.1, 3.3.1, and 2.6.11, a heap buffer overflow exists in the Fast-DDS DATA_FRAG receive path. An un authenticated sender can transmit a single malformed RTPS DATA_FRAG packet where `fragmentSize` and `sampleSize` are craft ed to violate internal assumptions. Due to a 4-byte alignment step during fragment metadata initialization, the code write s past the end of the allocated payload buffer, causing immediate crash (DoS) and potentially enabling memory corruption ( RCE risk). Versions 3.4.1, 3.3.1, and 2.6.11 patch the issue.
A heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the MFER parsing functionality of The Biosig Project libbiosig 3.9.0 and Master Branch (35a819fa). A specially crafted MFER file can lead to arbitrary code execution. An attacker can provide a malicious file to trigger this vulnerability.
The vulnerability allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to perform a Denial-of-Service (DoS) attack or, possibly, obtain Remote Code Execution (RCE) via a crafted network request.
PX4-Autopilot provides PX4 flight control solution for drones. In versions 1.14.0-rc1 and prior, PX4-Autopilot has a heap buffer overflow vulnerability in the parser function due to the absence of `parserbuf_index` value checking. A malfunction of the sensor device can cause a heap buffer overflow with leading unexpected drone behavior. Malicious applications can exploit the vulnerability even if device sensor malfunction does not occur. Up to the maximum value of an `unsigned int`, bytes sized data can be written to the heap memory area. As of time of publication, no fixed version is available.

rAthena is an open-source cross-platform massively multiplayer online role playing game (MMORPG) server. Versions prior to commit 2f5248b have a heap-based buffer overflow in the login server, remote attacker to overwrite adjacent session fields by sending a crafted `CA_SSO_LOGIN_REQ` with an oversized token length. This leads to immediate denial of service (crash) and it is possible to achieve remote code execution via heap corruption. Commit 2f5248b fixes the issue.
ImageMagick is free and open-source software used for editing and manipulating digital images. ImageMagick versions lower than 14.8.2 include insecure functions: SeekBlob(), which permits advancing the stream offset beyond the current end without increasing capacity, and WriteBlob(), which then expands by quantum + length (amortized) instead of offset + length, and copies to data + offset. When offset ≫ extent, the copy targets memory beyond the allocation, producing a deterministic heap write on 64-bit builds. No 2⁶⁴ arithmetic wrap, external delegates, or policy settings are required. This is fixed in version 14.8.2.
