A code injection vulnerability exists in the berriai/litellm application, version 1.34.6, due to the use of unvalidated input in the eval function within the secret management system. This vulnerability requires a valid Google KMS configuration file to be exploitable. Specifically, by setting the `UI_LOGO_PATH` variable to a remote server address in the `get_image` function, an attacker can write a malicious Google KMS configuration file to the `cached_logo.jpg` file. This file can then be used to execute arbitrary code by assigning malicious code to the `SAVE_CONFIG_TO_DB` environment variable, leading to full system control. The vulnerability is contingent upon the use of the Google KMS feature.
An SQL Injection vulnerability exists in the berriai/litellm repository, specifically within the `/global/spend/logs` endpoint. The vulnerability arises due to improper neutralization of special elements used in an SQL command. The affected code constructs an SQL query by concatenating an unvalidated `api_key` parameter directly into the query, making it susceptible to SQL Injection if the `api_key` contains malicious data. This issue affects the latest version of the repository. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could lead to unauthorized access, data manipulation, exposure of confidential information, and denial of service (DoS).
LiteLLM is a proxy server (AI Gateway) to call LLM APIs in OpenAI (or native) format. From version 1.80.5 to before version 1.83.7, the POST /prompts/test endpoint accepted user-supplied prompt templates and rendered them without sandboxing. A crafted template could run arbitrary code inside the LiteLLM Proxy process. The endpoint only checks that the caller presents a valid proxy API key, so any authenticated user could reach it. Depending on how the proxy is deployed, this could expose secrets in the process environment (such as provider API keys or database credentials) and allow commands to be run on the host. This issue has been patched in version 1.83.7.
LiteLLM through 2026-04-08 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via bytecode rewriting at the /guardrails/test_custom_code URI.
BerriAI/litellm version 1.40.12 contains a vulnerability that allows remote code execution. The issue exists in the handling of the 'post_call_rules' configuration, where a callback function can be added. The provided value is split at the final '.' mark, with the last part considered the function name and the remaining part appended with the '.py' extension and imported. This allows an attacker to set a system method, such as 'os.system', as a callback, enabling the execution of arbitrary commands when a chat response is processed.
BerriAI/litellm version v1.35.8 contains a vulnerability where an attacker can achieve remote code execution. The vulnerability exists in the `add_deployment` function, which decodes and decrypts environment variables from base64 and assigns them to `os.environ`. An attacker can exploit this by sending a malicious payload to the `/config/update` endpoint, which is then processed and executed by the server when the `get_secret` function is triggered. This requires the server to use Google KMS and a database to store a model.
Signal K Server is a server application that runs on a central hub in a boat. Versions prior to 2.19.0 of the appstore interface allow administrators to install npm packages through a REST API endpoint. While the endpoint validates that the package name exists in the npm registry as a known plugin or webapp, the version parameter accepts arbitrary npm version specifiers including URLs. npm supports installing packages from git repositories, GitHub shorthand syntax, and HTTP/HTTPS URLs pointing to tarballs. When npm installs a package, it can automatically execute any `postinstall` script defined in `package.json`, enabling arbitrary code execution. The vulnerability exists because npm's version specifier syntax is extremely flexible, and the SignalK code passes the version parameter directly to npm without sanitization. An attacker with admin access can install a package from an attacker-controlled source containing a malicious `postinstall` script. Version 2.19.0 contains a patch for the issue.
A code injection vulnerability has been discovered in the Upgrade function of QibosoftX1 v1.0. An attacker is able execute arbitrary PHP code via exploitation of client_upgrade_edition.php and Upgrade.php.
RiteCMS v3.1.0 was discovered to contain an authenticated remote code execution (RCE) vulnerability via the parse_special_tags() function.
A remote code execution issue was discovered in MariaDB 10.2 before 10.2.37, 10.3 before 10.3.28, 10.4 before 10.4.18, and 10.5 before 10.5.9; Percona Server through 2021-03-03; and the wsrep patch through 2021-03-03 for MySQL. An untrusted search path leads to eval injection, in which a database SUPER user can execute OS commands after modifying wsrep_provider and wsrep_notify_cmd. NOTE: this does not affect an Oracle product.
The File Manager Pro WordPress plugin before 1.8.1 allows admin users to upload arbitrary files, even in environments where such a user should not be able to gain full control of the server, such as a multisite installation. This leads to remote code execution.
'.../...//' in Microsoft Purview allows an authorized attacker to execute code over a network.
The Trend Micro Security 2020 and 2021 families of consumer products are vulnerable to a code injection vulnerability which could allow an attacker to disable the program's password protection and disable protection. An attacker must already have administrator privileges on the machine to exploit this vulnerability.
AVideo/YouPHPTube 10.0 and prior is affected by Insecure file write. An administrator privileged user is able to write files on filesystem using flag and code variables in file save.php.
The Similar Posts WordPress plugin through 3.1.5 allow high privilege users to execute arbitrary PHP code in an hardened environment (ie with DISALLOW_FILE_EDIT, DISALLOW_FILE_MODS and DISALLOW_UNFILTERED_HTML set to true) via the 'widget_rrm_similar_posts_condition' widget setting of the plugin.
The Speed Booster Pack ⚡ PageSpeed Optimization Suite WordPress plugin before 4.2.0 did not validate its caching_exclude_urls and caching_include_query_strings settings before outputting them in a PHP file, which could lead to RCE
The Menu Item Visibility Control WordPress plugin through 0.5 doesn't sanitize and validate the "Visibility logic" option for WordPress menu items, which could allow highly privileged users to execute arbitrary PHP code even in a hardened environment.
A Remote Code Execution (RCE) vulnerability in the template management component in REDAXO CMS 5.20.0 allows remote authenticated administrators to execute arbitrary operating system commands by injecting PHP code into an active template. The payload is executed when visitors access frontend pages using the compromised template.
Improper use of the static-eval npm package in the open source solution qnabot-on-aws versions 7.2.4 and earlier may allow an authenticated administrator to execute arbitrary code within the fulfillment Lambda execution context by injecting a crafted conditional chaining expression via the Content Designer interface, which bypasses the intended expression sandbox through JavaScript prototype manipulation. This may grant direct access to backend resources (Lambda environment variables, OpenSearch indices, S3 objects, DynamoDB tables) that are not exposed through normal administrative interfaces. We recommend you upgrade to version 7.3.0 or above.
The WP Super Cache WordPress plugin before 1.7.2 was affected by an authenticated (admin+) RCE in the settings page due to input validation failure and weak $cache_path check in the WP Super Cache Settings -> Cache Location option. Direct access to the wp-cache-config.php file is not prohibited, so this vulnerability can be exploited for a web shell injection.
The Nginx Cache Purge Preload plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Remote Code Execution in all versions up to, and including, 2.1.1 via the 'nppp_preload_cache_on_update' function. This is due to insufficient sanitization of the $_SERVER['HTTP_REFERERER'] parameter passed from the 'nppp_handle_fastcgi_cache_actions_admin_bar' function. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Administrator-level access and above, to execute code on the server.
Xibo is an open source digital signage platform with a web content management system (CMS). Versions 4.3.0 and below contain a Remote Code Execution vulnerability in the CMS Developer menu's Module Templating functionality, allowing authenticated users with "System -> Add/Edit custom modules and templates" permissions to manipulate Twig filters and execute arbitrary server-side functions as the web server user. This issue is fixed in version 4.3.1. To workaround this issue, use the 4.1 and 4.2 patch commits.
ClipBucket v5 is an open source video sharing platform. Prior to version 5.5.2 #147, ClipBucket v5 is vulnerable to arbitrary PHP code execution. In /upload/admin_area/actions/update_launch.php, the "type" parameter from a POST request is embedded into PHP tags and executed. Proper sanitization is not performed, and by injecting malicious code an attacker can execute arbitrary PHP code. This allows an attacker to achieve RCE. This issue has been resolved in version 5.5.2 #147.
The package underscore from 1.13.0-0 and before 1.13.0-2, from 1.3.2 and before 1.12.1 are vulnerable to Arbitrary Code Injection via the template function, particularly when a variable property is passed as an argument as it is not sanitized.
Lodash versions prior to 4.17.21 are vulnerable to Command Injection via the template function.
A vulnerability allowed multiple unrestricted uploads in Pulse Connect Secure before 9.1R11.4 that could lead to an authenticated administrator to perform a file write via a maliciously crafted archive upload in the administrator web interface.
An authenticated remote code execution (RCE) vulnerability exists in multiple WSO2 products due to improper input validation in the event processor admin service. A user with administrative access to the SOAP admin services can exploit this flaw by deploying a Siddhi execution plan containing malicious Java code, resulting in arbitrary code execution on the server. Exploitation of this vulnerability requires a valid user account with administrative privileges, limiting the attack surface to authenticated but potentially malicious users.
The affiliate-toolkit plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to remote code execution in all versions up to, and including, 3.8.5. This is due to the plugin using the BladeOne templating engine's runString() method which compiles user-supplied template content into PHP code and executes it via eval() without sanitization or sandboxing. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Editor-level access and above, to execute arbitrary code on the server by injecting PHP into a plugin template.
TDengine is an open source, time-series database optimized for Internet of Things devices. Prior to 3.4.1.15, a user with create udf privilege could upload a crafted shared library and install it as a user-defined function, such as eval, then execute arbitrary C code on the TDengine server side through database queries. This issue is fixed in version 3.4.1.15.
FreshRSS is a free, self-hostable RSS aggregator. In versions 1.26.1 and below, an authenticated administrator user can execute arbitrary code on the FreshRSS server by modifying the update URL to one they control, and gain code execution after running an update. After successfully executing code, user data including hashed passwords can be exfiltrated, the instance can be defaced when file permissions allow. Malicious code can be inserted into the instance to steal plaintext passwords, among others. This is fixed in version 1.26.2.

A CWE-94: Improper Control of Generation of Code ('Code Injection') vulnerability exists that could cause remote code execution when an admin user on DCE tampers with backups which are then manually restored.
FreeScout is a free self-hosted help desk and shared mailbox. Prior to version 1.8.178, FreeScout is vulnerable to code injection due to insufficient validation of user input in the php_path parameter. The backticks characters are not removed, as well as tabulation is not removed. When checking user input, the file_exists function is also called to check for the presence of such a file (folder) in the file system. A user with the administrator role can create a translation for the language, which will create a folder in the file system. Further in tools.php, the user can specify the path to this folder as php_path, which will lead to the execution of code in backticks. This issue has been patched in version 1.8.178.
Craft CMS (composer package craftcms/cms) versions >= 5.5.0 and <= 5.9.13 contain a remote code execution vulnerability in the FieldsController::actionRenderCardPreview() method, which passes the fieldLayoutConfig POST parameter directly to Fields::createLayout() without calling Component::cleanseConfig(). An authenticated admin user can inject Yii2 event handlers (e.g., 'on init' keys) via the fieldLayoutConfig parameter to execute arbitrary PHP code and disclose sensitive information (such as environment variables containing database credentials and CRAFT_SECURITY_KEY). The issue is fixed in version 5.9.14.
OpenSolution Quick.CMS < 6.7 and Quick.Cart < 6.7 allow an authenticated user to perform code injection (and consequently Remote Code Execution) via the input fields of the Language tab.
MISP allowed a site administrator to configure an arbitrary filesystem path for the NDJSON error log used by JsonLogTool. Because log entries can include attacker-controlled content, an authenticated attacker with site administrator privileges could direct log output to a PHP file in a web-accessible directory and inject PHP code through logged data. Accessing the resulting file could lead to remote code execution with the privileges of the web server process. The fix restricts log destinations to existing directories beneath APP/tmp/logs or /var/log, requires absolute paths, rejects stream wrappers and traversal-related input, and limits filenames to .log or .ndjson extensions while disallowing executable extension segments.
A vulnerability in SeedDMS 6.0.32 allows an attacker with admin privileges to execute arbitrary PHP code by exploiting the zip import functionality in the Extension Manager.

SugarCRM before 8.0.4 and 9.x before 9.0.2 allows PHP code injection in the Campaigns module by an Admin user.
An arbitrary code execution vulnerability exists in multiple WSO2 products due to insufficient restrictions in the GraalJS and NashornJS Script Mediator engines. Authenticated users with elevated privileges can execute arbitrary code within the integration runtime environment. By default, access to these scripting engines is limited to administrators in WSO2 Micro Integrator and WSO2 Enterprise Integrator, while in WSO2 API Manager, access extends to both administrators and API creators. This may allow trusted-but-privileged users to perform unauthorized actions or compromise the execution environment.
CubeCart is an ecommerce software solution. Prior to 6.7.3, an admin with documents edit permission can save raw <?php … ?> into the Invoice Editor. The next time any admin clicks Print on any order, the rendered template is written to files/print.<md5>.php. files/.htaccess ships an explicit <Files print.*.php> allow from all </Files> carve-out, so the file is fetched and executed by any unauthenticated visitor. This vulnerability is fixed in 6.7.3.
PHP injection in TravianZ 8.3.4 and 8.3.3 in the config editor in the admin page allows remote attackers to execute PHP code.
