9router before 0.4.60 Remote Code Execution via default password

9router 0.4.59 (fixed in 0.4.60) contains a chain of vulnerabilities: a hardcoded default password (123456) that authenticates any fresh installation, a bypass of the LOCAL_ONLY network gate via a spoofed Host header, and unvalidated arguments passed to child_process.spawn() when registering MCP plugins. A remote, unauthenticated attacker can log in with the default credential, spoof the Host header to reach local-only routes, and register a malicious MCP plugin (e.g. node -e <payload>) to achieve arbitrary code execution on the host operating system when the plugin's SSE endpoint is triggered.

9router: Exposure of Sensitive Information and Unprotected Database Import/Export Allows Complete Credential Theft and Database Takeover

9Router is an AI router & token saver. Prior to 0.4.80, the /api/settings/database endpoint allows full database export (containing all credentials, API keys, OAuth tokens, and settings) and full database import (complete overwrite) without any authentication requirement beyond the ALWAYS_PROTECTED middleware check, which only validates JWT or CLI token. This issue is fixed in version 0.4.80.

9Router < 0.4.44 - OS Command Injection via sudoPassword Parameter in Tailscale Install Endpoint

9Router before 0.4.44 contains an OS command injection vulnerability in the unauthenticated POST /api/tunnel/tailscale-install endpoint (this route is not covered by the dashboard middleware matcher, so no authorization check is applied). The sudoPassword field from the request body is written to the stdin of a 'sudo -S sh' child process. When sudo does not prompt for a password (the process runs as root, NOPASSWD is configured, or a recent sudo timestamp cache exists), the sudoPassword value is interpreted by sh as a shell command, allowing a remote unauthenticated attacker to execute arbitrary OS commands. Exploitation evidence was first observed by the Shadowserver Foundation on 2026-07-04 (UTC).

9Router: Authenticated RCE via Unvalidated MCP Plugin Arguments

9Router is an AI router & token saver. Prior to 0.5.2, 9Router allows a remote authenticated attacker to achieve arbitrary code execution on the host operating system by combining a Host header bypass of localhost-only routes with unvalidated MCP plugin args passed to child_process.spawn(), allowing malicious custom plugins to execute commands through /api/mcp//sse. This issue is fixed in version 0.5.2.

9Router: Unauthenticated Remote Code Execution via unprotected MCP custom plugin routes

9Router is an AI router & token saver. From 0.4.30 until 0.4.37, 9Router's src/proxy.js middleware did not protect /api/cli-tools/* and /api/mcp/*, allowing unauthenticated registration of customPlugins through src/app/api/cli-tools/cowork-settings/route.js and command execution through the MCP bridge. DbGate Vulnerable to Authenticated Remote Code Execution via loadReader functionName code injection

DbGate is cross-platform database manager. Versions 7.1.8 and prior are vulnerable to authenticated Remote Code Execution (RCE). Any user with valid DbGate credentials can execute arbitrary OS commands as root by exploiting an unsanitized `functionName` parameter in the `/runners/load-reader` endpoint. The `require = null` mitigation is trivially bypassed via dynamic `import()`. Version 7.1.9 contains a patch.

Openfiler v2.x NetworkCard Command Execution

Openfiler v2.x contains a command injection vulnerability in the system.html page. The device parameter is used to instantiate a NetworkCard object, whose constructor in network.inc calls exec() with unsanitized input. An authenticated attacker can exploit this to execute arbitrary commands as the openfiler user. Due to misconfigured sudoers, the openfiler user can escalate privileges to root via sudo /bin/bash without a password.

Vowpal Wabbit: Shell injection via crafted PR title in python_checks.yml allows arbitrary command execution on CI runner

Vowpal Wabbit is a machine learning system. The workflow .github/workflows/python_checks.yml embeds ${{ github.event.pull_request.title }} directly inside double-quoted bash strings in four separate steps across four jobs, each passing it as a CLI argument to the Python test script run_tests_model_gen_and_load.py. The shell interprets the expanded string before invoking Python, allowing an attacker to break out of the quotes and execute arbitrary commands on the runner. The pull_request trigger fires on PRs targeting any branch (branches: ['*']), with no additional access gate. This vulnerability is fixed by the 998e390e80a7e8192d7849b7784bc113dbd190ad commit.

Twenty: SQL Injection via the timeZone field

Twenty is an open source CRM. From 1.7.7 through 1.16.7, a critical Remote Code Execution (RCE) vulnerability exists in Twenty CRM via a chained SQL Injection and PostgreSQL COPY TO PROGRAM attack. If Postgres user is a super user then any authenticated user can execute arbitrary OS commands on the database server by injecting SQL through the unsanitized timeZone parameter in the REST API groupBy endpoint. The timeZone field within the group_by query parameter is directly interpolated into a raw SQL expression using JavaScript template literals without any parameterization, validation, or escaping. This affects engine/api/graphql/graphql-query-runner/group-by/resolvers/utils/get-group-by-expression.util.ts.

Dokploy has Command Injection in its Service Operations

Dokploy is a free, self-hostable Platform as a Service (PaaS). Versions 0.26.6 and below have OS command injection through the appName parameter. 3 chained issues cause this problem: inadequate input sanitization, lack of schema validation and direct shell interpolation. User-controlled application names are passed through inadequate sanitization (cleanAppName function only replaces spaces and converts to lowercase) before being interpolated directly into shell commands executed via execAsync() and execAsyncRemote(). An authenticated attacker can inject shell metacharacters (e.g., ;, $(), backticks, |, &) in the appName field during application creation, which are then executed with server-level privileges when service operations (start, stop, remove, scale) are triggered. This issue has been resolved in version 0.26.7.

The vulnerability lies in a bug in the input sanitization from the “Custom MCP” configuration in http://localhost:3000/canvas - where any user can add a new MCP, when doing so - adding a new MCP using stdio, the user can add any command, even though your code have input sanitization checks such as validateCommandInjection and validateArgsForLocalFileAccess, and a list of predefined specific safe commands - these commands, for example "npx" can be combined with code execution arguments ("-c touch /tmp/pwn") that enable direct code execution on the underlying OS. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.1.0.

OliveTin vulnerable to OS Command Injection via `password` argument type and webhook JSON extraction bypasses shell safety checks

OliveTin gives access to predefined shell commands from a web interface. In versions up to and including 3000.10.0, OliveTin's shell mode safety check (`checkShellArgumentSafety`) blocks several dangerous argument types but not `password`. A user supplying a `password`-typed argument can inject shell metacharacters that execute arbitrary OS commands. A second independent vector allows unauthenticated RCE via webhook-extracted JSON values that skip type safety checks entirely before reaching `sh -c`. When exploiting vector 1, any authenticated user (registration enabled by default, `authType: none` by default) can execute arbitrary OS commands on the OliveTin host with the permissions of the OliveTin process. When exploiting vector 2, an unauthenticated attacker can achieve the same if the instance receives webhooks from external sources, which is a primary OliveTin use case. When an attacker exploits both vectors, this results in unauthenticated RCE on any OliveTin instance using Shell mode with webhook-triggered actions. As of time of publication, a patched version is not available.

Command Injection on OpenProject repositories leads to Remote Code Execution

OpenProject is an open-source, web-based project management software. Prior to versions 16.6.7 and 17.0.3, an arbitrary file write vulnerability exists in OpenProject’s repository changes endpoint (/projects/:project_id/repository/changes) when rendering the “latest changes” view via git log. By supplying a specially crafted rev value (for example, rev=--output=/tmp/poc.txt), an attacker can inject git log command-line options. When OpenProject executes the SCM command, Git interprets the attacker-controlled rev as an option and writes the output to an attacker-chosen path. As a result, any user with the :browse_repository permission on the project can create or overwrite arbitrary files that the OpenProject process user is permitted to write. The written contents consist of git log output, but by crafting custom commits the attacker can still upload valid shell scripts, ultimately leading to RCE. The RCE lets the attacker create a reverse shell to the target host and view confidential files outside of OpenProject, such as /etc/passwd. This issue has been patched in versions 16.6.7 and 17.0.3.

Network-AI has an an OS Command Injection issue

Network-AI is a TypeScript/Node.js multi-agent orchestrator. Prior to version 5.9.1, the agent sandbox gates shell commands behind an allowlist (`SandboxPolicy.isCommandAllowed`), which THREAT_MODEL.md calls the main control against a compromised agent (Adversary 3.2). The allowlist glob-matches the whole command string, but `ShellExecutor` runs that string through `/bin/sh -c`. So any wildcard allow such as `git *`, `npm *` or `node *` also matches `git status; <anything>`, and a scoped command becomes arbitrary execution. The issue is fixed in v5.9.1. `ShellExecutor` now executes via `spawn(file, args, { shell: false })` using a quote-aware parsed argv, so no shell is invoked. `SandboxPolicy.isCommandAllowed` and the new `SandboxPolicy.tokenizeCommand` reject any unquoted shell metacharacter (`; & | $ ` ` ` ( ) < > { }` newline) or unterminated quote before the allowlist glob match; quoted metacharacters are preserved as literal argument data. Users should upgrade to `network-ai@5.9.1` or later. As defense in depth, avoid broad wildcard allowlist entries such as `node *` / `npm *` which are direct code execution by design.

Edimax EW-7438RPn Mini OS Command Injection via mp.asp

An OS command injection vulnerability exists in the Edimax EW-7438RPn firmware version 1.13 and prior via the mp.asp form handler. The /goform/mp endpoint improperly handles user-supplied input to the command parameter. An authenticated attacker can inject shell commands using shell metacharacters to achieve arbitrary command execution as the root user. Exploitation evidence was observed by the Shadowserver Foundation on 2024-09-14 UTC.

Nezha Monitoring: RoleMember can run shell on every server (cross-tenant RCE) via POST /api/v1/cron

Nezha Monitoring is a self-hostable, lightweight, servers and websites monitoring and O&M tool. From version 1.4.0 to before version 2.0.8, a RoleMember user can create a scheduled cron task with Cover=CronCoverAll, Servers=[] and an arbitrary Command. At every tick of the scheduler, the dashboard pushes that command to every server in the global ServerShared map — including servers that belong to other tenants (admin's servers, other members' servers). Each agent runs the command and returns the output, which is then sent to the attacker's own NotificationGroup → attacker-controlled webhook. This issue has been patched in version 2.0.8.

Roxy-WI: Authenticated RCE on every managed HAProxy load balancer via `option` field config injection in section save

Roxy-WI is a web interface for managing Haproxy, Nginx, Apache and Keepalived servers. In versions 8.2.6.4 and prior, the HAProxy section-save endpoints (POST /api/service/haproxy/<server_id>/section/<section_type> and the PUT / global / defaults variants) accept a JSON option field that is not validated, not escaped, and is rendered verbatim into the generated HAProxy configuration via the section.j2, global.j2, and defaults.j2 Ansible templates. Because Roxy-WI then pushes the generated config to the load balancer and runs systemctl reload haproxy, an authenticated user with role ≤ 3 (user) can inject arbitrary HAProxy directives into the config that runs on every load balancer their group manages — including option external-check + external-check command /bin/bash -c '…', which gives remote code execution on the load balancer as the haproxy user on every health-check tick. At time of publication, there are no publicly available patches.

Termix has an OS Command Injection in File Manager resolvePath endpoint

Termix is a web-based server management platform with SSH terminal, tunneling, and file editing capabilities. Prior to version 2.3.2, the GET /ssh/file_manager/ssh/resolvePath endpoint in Termix is vulnerable to OS command injection. The endpoint uses double-quote escaping for shell command construction, which does not prevent $(...) and backtick command substitution. Any authenticated user with an active File Manager SSH session can execute arbitrary commands on the connected remote host. Version 2.3.2 patches the issue.

eScan 5.5-2 Web Management Console Command Injection

A command injection vulnerability exists in the eScan Web Management Console version 5.5-2. The application fails to properly sanitize the 'pass' parameter when processing login requests to login.php, allowing an authenticated attacker with a valid username to inject arbitrary commands via a specially crafted password value. Successful exploitation results in remote code execution. Privilege escalation to root is possible by abusing the runasroot utility with mwconf-level privileges.

Dokploy: Schedule Authorization Bypass Enables Host/Server Command Execution

Dokploy is a free, self-hostable Platform as a Service (PaaS). In 0.26.7 and earlier, the schedule router does not enforce organization/role checks. As a result, any authenticated user can create, update, run, or delete schedules belonging to other organizations if they know the scheduleId/serverId. Schedule types server and dokploy-server write and execute scripts on the host or remote servers, enabling RCE on the Dokploy host or a target server.
